Convenient to the airport for early morning flight. Good services, friendly staff, comfortable bed!
Air conditioning works well. Bed comfortable, I but recommed booking an extra bed and not sleeping on the sofa in the room, if travelling with child. Room quiet and quite spacious. Bathtub and little pentry also good The pool is practically on the parking lot.
good location, service oriented staff (in france!) rooms are to basic, eps bathroom
clean comfortable rooms. short stay so unable to comment further unable to watch a rugby match in the bar, yet able to watch in our room
the rooms were spacious and comfortable and the showers were excellent. access for disabled users was good, bar food was poor - not enough selection and poor quality
Roomservice was reasoneble and effective. Had to take taxi to go anywhere and this was costly. If you travel by plane and plan to stay in the area location is excellent though. Smaller pool than expected.
Very convenient for the airport, comfortable rooms and shuttle service to the airport
The bed and especially the sheets were wonderful.
It is close to the Bordeaux airport but gets little aircraft noise. Room ventilation system was broken. Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. I will try a different hotel next time
The staff at the breakfast room are really helpful and friendly. However the staff in the reception are not that helpful. The facilities in the room are not great (e.g. only 1 set of tower was provided although we have booked a double room for 2 persons)
super room! great location. quiet!!!
Everything spotlessly clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Difficult to find, needed more detailed directions.
Easy access and close to airport Gloomy room and smell of smoke
Standard of accomodation for the cost.
Food for vegetarians could have been more imaginative
good customer care at reception desk on 30 July- late check in standard of rooms could be better, messy area on the left from reception desk-dining room, this hotel is generally ok if you are looking for cheap stay@ airport
Reception staff were excellent and extremely helpful Bed was rather uncomfortable
as travelers use this type of hotel. more english speaking tv would be good
The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The noise! I had to use earplugs to get to sleep because of the constant rumbling of heavy lorries.
free wi fi, very cheap basic accomodation. open air corridors ,so very noisy as near to the motorway. Some bleach in the toilet would make it cleaner.
The room wasn't clean, it was very very noisy, and the staff unhelpful.
The TV channels is good. There is not the key into the door in this hotel, we don't like the automatic card because our girl of 5 years old ran away while we was sleeping at 3.00 AM, we didn't hear her, we all are deaf, that is why we need the key ( not the automatic card ) for our daughter's security.
Cheap and basic. Smoke coming into our room from adjoining room. Room very small for a tall person.
Good, clean and cheap
All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good value
good price/service ratio, excellent breakfast The bedcover was not clean, the cushion covers not ironed, as if slept in already
easy to find and the bedding was excellent and facilites in the room were nice for the amount we paid. i would defitantley book it again when i am in france. the only fault i would say about the hotel was that they say children eat free breakfast but i was charged for three people which i thought was wrong but couldnt make the person understand what i was saying.though otherwise she was very helpfull and checked us in even though it was outside thier check in time which was very helpfull as we were really tired from travelling whole day and night.
Free Internet connection
The ability to automatically get the room-card key (by use of an automatic credit card taking machine which also provides the receipt) after 21:00 (when the reception is actually closed and not present on site) is very useful. Value for money is good (given the price of 39 € per day and 4.80€ for an "all you can eat breakfast"), however do be aware that this is very basic (rooms are 4.5 * 2 meter, including the shower room). A TV was present in the room. Noisy environment, shower not working well, small room (4.5 * 2 meter).
Secure car parking compound just off a main motorway reasonably close to the city centre. Like most of France the 'ankle deep' layer of cigarette butts that litter the grounds.
Unfortunately I can't think of anything good to write here. As an aside though, avoid the 'Grill' across the road as a place to eat - it was overpriced and the food was terrible. It was small, the bed very uncomfortable, the curtain rail fell down, shower was poor. No safe, the free wi-fi didn't operate in the room. Staff did not speak any English at all. Breakfast was overpriced and poor quality. Unfortunately booking.com don't publish reviews until they have 8 in all - otherwise we may have been able to avoid this stay.
the room ther was not anyone around to handle luggage and show you the room,I have the impression that you do not have enough staff for an hotel so big,the restaurant's food is mediocre. The price is almost right but it's not an hotel to brag about it.
Staff helpful - clean and functional. Breakfast simple, but fine as a quick start before setting off on a long drive.
hotel was clean and functional ideal for aerport and visiting Bordeaux.
Good access to the highway. When we got there the reception was closed and we had to wait three hours outside. Really small rooms. Good for a night stay with small baggage, not for a long stay. The bathroom had mold and was a bit dark.
Adequate for an overnight stop
Good restaurant - friendly and efficent staff
Pool open 24 hours, had it to ourselves. Grounds kept very nice. Rooms spacious & lovely. A real bargain at 65 euros. No signs to help us find from the airport.
Location - perfect for our overnight stay between Holland and Portugal, food was excellent, classic room was very comfortable and had everything you could wish for. staff are lovely people - they aim to make your stay as pleasurable as possible, we would certainly stay here again.
Hotel equally suitable for business or leisure
We arrived later in the evening and the staff member on duty was prepared with our reservation so that check in took seconds. Additionally he got the extra bed for our youngest to our room within 10 minutes. The room was more than adequate for our family of 5.
Stayed at this hotel on previous occasions and once again we were not disappointed. Very pleasant staff and good service. Very good buffet in restaurant. Hotel very convenient for overnight stay.
Everything...we have stayed at a lot of hotels 2/3 stars !!!!! UK-Far East. This is the best hotel that we have ever used. The receptionist that was on from the after noon till late was fantastic. As you can see we were over whelmed as the staff and management seem to have got it right.
Help from Receptionist on Sunday pm to provide cold meal
The hotel had a pool which suited our young daughter and the menu did allow for children. The meals We thought that the price of food and drink was very expenisinve. It made the cost of a reasonably inexpenisve hotel very expensive. Eating a basic meal for 2 adults and 1 child over two nights was over 100 euros (excluding drinks). Although I would recommend the hotel overall I would warm that the cost of food and drink is high.
Proximity to airport, friendliness of staff Restaurant was not open on Sunday
Great design and decor in rooms, very comfortable rooms, free wi-fi, nice staff, excellent location near airport, good for a stopover or to visit the area. The restaurant might serve the worst food in France!! Very bad quality, and expensive. Restaurant not open at night for dinner, but there are better choices nearby within a 5 min drive.
Lunch in the restaurant - excellent food & service. Paucity of airport shuttle services at the weekend. The furnishing of the bedroom was poorly designed - no drawers & no writing surfaces.
Proximity to airport and nicer than other chain hotels. I do not recall anything saying that the restaurant was closed on Sunday.
Efficient staff, well organised hotel, v g dinner menue, excellent breakfrast w healthy choices, excellent info about Bordeaux and the region. Single glazed windows in the non-renovated area - a bit noisy, but we were given the choice to change room to double glazed if we had wanted.
breakfast is served from 5 o´clck in the morning,There is a shuttle service from the airport The desk in the room was not so big, if you want to work. There is only one el contact, when you want to connect both PC and a printer
Location and staff. Room was very small and nothing like the photos at the web site.
The hotel was good value and offered an excellent dinner. We would use the hotel again if we were near the city. Internet slow and unreliable. Nothing hot at breakfast
Atmosphere cheerful and friendly. Staff very helpful. Because my flight out was late afternoon I had to eat in your hotel having no transport of my own. I had an evening light meal and lunch the following day, both of which were barely edible and overpriced, fruit at breakfast either overripe or not ripe enough to eat, for this reason I would not stay in this hotel again.
Staff at reception very helpful, could check in at 9:30 already, help with plane booking appreciated. Bus stop (liane 1) directly in front of hotel, good connection to airport and town there is free WiFi, but it is rather clumsy to use (not the fault of the hotel but of the company providing the service
The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our request for a taxi for 0500hr was dealt with immediately. And there was coffee available before 0500hr. That the restaurant was not open, and we had to seek out another place to eat, and what we really wanted was something on site so we could just eat and get to sleep early , because we had an early flight out. It would be great if there was a room that had 2 double beds, instead of the 2 single beds. We are used to having bigger beds.
Modern clean rooms, friendly staff. The AC was warm in both rooms we stayed in. I had to open the window to get fresh air. Rooms too small, the pictures in the site are decieving.
Lack of signage and no direction from staff, took 15 minutes at the end of a 550 mile drive to find the room
free wireless , high speed internett!!!!!!!!!! airco did not work !!!!
The services qnd resto of the Campanile chain The situation in a very poor neibourhout
It was easy to find and on our route. The breakfast was fine, no complaints. Despite being beside the motorway, it was very quiet. The room was really very small as we needed to put in a cot, but as we were passing through it was not a problem.
good location very quiet Didn´t like restricted evening meal, better and more varied selection of food in other Campanil hotels
Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Quiet. Good restaurant with friendly staff. Nice soft bed, but unfortunately had developed a distinct concave shape to each side of the matress.
The welcome is friendly, staff is helpful, restaurant is neat and tidy, and the food good and choice not boring. Especially fish courses The fact to check in and out outside of the sleeping quarters.. Not to have a shover cap and a hair dryer...
Location was good for our purposes - attending wedding at Chateaux Lagorce near Langorian No
The hotel's architecture. The resturant was closed on Friday night for the entire weekend. The last thing you want to do after a 10hr drive in July is to go looking for a restaurant.
Good quality for price. Good for en route stop over. Nice staff. None
lower level than the average mercure, but good value for money
Excellent friendly staff Nothing an excellent stop over hotel on the way south
Helpful receptionist Bar closed, restaurant closed, didn't like a blanket on the bed
Very happy with the stay.
Clean efficient friendly welcoming and cozy feeling You might like to put the ph number of the shuttle service on the reservation when arriving at the airport it is not all that clear
Decent clean hotel, conveniently located near the airport, but not noisy at all
Ground carpets, cleanness of ground layer WC / its smell
The noise of the air conditioning system and finding the place
Close to airport - good for a one night stopover - probably not for longer Service was a little slow
location terms & condition not clear enough
Near to airport
It was clean, quiet, nicely designed, and very close to the Aeroport. We arrived quite late, and wanted to get to sleep. But I was given the wrong room (it was already occupied by someone), and then had to wait for the clerk to bring me a new key. Also, the staff did not explain the security system for entering/leaving the parking area, or for how to enter the back door of the hotel. The staff just wasn't very helpful at all.
I liked the idea that they have a free shuttle bus. I just called the hotel and the bus came to pick us up. not really.
We stayed at this hotel for one night en route to a camp site on the coast. For the little time we spent there, we found everything about the hotel excellent, and would stay there again if in the area.
The overall services. The breakfast was fine and the restaurant services. The room for three persons may be a little too small.
All in order, no problems. see above
It was very conveniently located for an overnight stay,en route from England to Spain. Nothing
Free internet was not working periodically. It was not possible to use it for voice over internet (e.g. Skype, etc.). It was very inconvenient taking into account that it was not phone in room.
value for money bright lights around hotel which made bedroom bright
Not very clean, colleague found live maggot in his bed!
Very cheap; rooms are small, especially the toilette and the shower, but everything is clean. The only slight disadvantage is the distance to the center of Bordeaux and the rather rare public traffic connection (bus + tram).
Ideal location, used as an overnight stop off whilst driving from Spain to channel ports to return to UK. Arrived at 9.30pm and used automated check in, room basic but comfortable, would not hesitate to use again.
Cheap. Excellent value breakfast A bit small. Although it was non-smoking, we could still smell smoke.
Automated book-in system refused to accept my registration details and after numerous attempts had to book in at a nearby Ibis hotel Will never book with this group again. Lesson learned
Easy to find, quiet, very funcional No towels. There is no reference that there are no towels in the room. Just one more think, the staff didn't speak any english
The hotel is very close to the road the price is good and the check in system is fast and practical. The shower is very small and you can hear the other guests in the hall.
Did what it said on the box Wifi signal not strong enough. Could not connect to internet.
very convenient en route hotel nothing
It was close to the motorway and a nice quiet location. Hotel was good and staff friendly. The bar/restaurant does not open Sunday evenings like most of the restaurants in the area
Good reception staff, pleasant & polite restaurant staff. Clean facilities Bar prices too high - 10.50euros for 2 large beers that were not completely full - we thought was excessive & poor value for money
The room was clean and the hotel was adjacent to the highway. The hotel was understaffed and was abandoned at check-in time. The room design was impractical - in particular the bathroom. Poorly thought out room design was an annoyance during our stay.
The restaurant meals were excellent. They obviously have a very good chef - for a budget hotel this was very unexpected. We ate at the restaurant for three nights in a row and every meal was top class. The yound waitress was very efficient and helpful. Her wind and food suggestions were spot on. The Manager was also very helpful. The hotel is almost new and the rooms were spacvious and clean. La Brede is a good central location for both bordeaux aiport and the vineyards. Nothing really
the beds were excellent, the room was nicely decorated, and it was very clean, it was relatively quiet, considering the fact it is situated very near the airport the staff at the front office is not very well trained and, except for a Senegalese girl, names Astou, they were all incompetent, when asking questions they never knew the answers... faxex would arrive and they would not warn us about it.
Superb attentive service, clean comfortable room, delicious food, easy airport access location. Highly recommend. I did not see a gift or sundry shop on location.
English speaking front desk staff. The shuttle driver should not park in the lane with high concrete barriers that guests can trip over in the early morning when going to the airport for early morning flight. My wife did and is not happy about it.
room was very nice we stayed at this hotel even though it was more expensive than most because we had an early flight the following day and there was an airport shuttle service, however this did not start early enough and we had to get a taxi. We were not informed of shuttle timetable at the time of our booking.
Nearness to the airport. Friendly approach to dog. Helpfulness of desk staff. Lack of adequate road signs for the merinac airport. Much confusion there being three Merinacs
I liked the distance to the airport. Heated pool was not heated.
Hotel was very clean and modern. Staff was also very helpful. The hotel is very close to Bordeaux airport, which was a plus, since we had an early morning flight.
the room was very clean this hotel has the worst bar staff i have ever seen in a hotel i arrived around 20.30 checked in then went to the bar sat for 10 min before getting served then the barman disappeared again then 3 gents came in and waited about 15min one even went behind the bar and tried to pour a beer himself they even called reception then finally the same barman came back served the 3 gents and before i could say beer please he disappeared i waited 5 min then went to my room thirsty
flexibility of staff.
Room service for evening meal very good although limited choice. It needs to move into the 21st Century in terms of its menus, snack availability, breakfast selection etc.
We hated it from beginning to end. How can you give 2 stars to such a tip. Horrendous. Not even a proper shower curtain. No room to swing a cat. The extra bed could only just be called a bed. Rancid croissants in the morning. What a dump!
clean and ease of parking close to eating places
This hotel was excellent value for money. You could not ask for more for the rates being charge. If your one of these people who expect the world and pay nothing for it then dont stay here. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to speak english, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast although simple was again value for money. Top marks Its close to the highway but only a short bus trip to town Would recommend There are a number of small restaurants within walking distance as well France closes down at 9pm but thats france
Breakfast, free wifi, neighborly stuff, free car parking, but very small dark rooms without upper light
The main reason to stay here is the cheap price. It's a good location in a town outside Bordeaux. Straight run in to Bordeaux. Good Chinese buffet restaurant in Eysines including dim sums, very handy as there are no bars or restaurants anywhere in the 9 kms of suburbs between here and Bordeaux centre. My wife said the room was like living in a cupboard. I thought is was like a Butlins chalet. The shower room was a raised "pod" in the corner of the bedroom, and the extractor fan was missing, so you get very intimate with your partner's body functions. The shower has no curtain, so the floor around the wc gets wet. Cheaply built - creaking floorboards from the room above. But it's cheap.
friendly staff..good location not far from major routes..excellent price and quiet once the aircraft from bordeaux airport had stopped flying
Very helpful and friendly staff, clean and pleasant environment, adequate refreshment The wet room washing and bathing facilities were in poor condition and the shower unit falling off the wall, the area never dried
The manager was very helpful to help us find somewhere for a meal on the Sunday we arrived
Very friendly and helpfull staff
Excellent meals and service. Clean towels did not arrive until mid-afternoon.
the weather was nice the main building closed at 11 sharp and you were 10 min walk from anywhere and 15 mins from the town by taxi
Location We book a triple room + baby cot and when we arrived the staff told us that they don't have baby cots
Bedding smelt of tobacco
The Hotel was Fantastic! Everything was perfect. Breakfast, Bedroom, Garden, Swimming pool. I will stay again and enjoy this beautiful place and service. An early check-in was possible, and we were upgraded to a better room. Stay here if you come to Bordeaux!!!!!!!!!! This is just hotel policy, but 15 Euro for 1h extension of stay is expensive.
Very peaceful, luxurious and beautiful walks at dusk. Perfect end to our holiday travelling around St Emilion and Bordeaux reqgion. Perfect location to get to airport with ease, and far enough to experience the tranquility of the area. Beautiful Chateau. ... the weather could have been a bit warmer and less cloudy! Apart from that, perfect.
Village location but close enough to city for visits and meals. An all year round hotel that looked very off season outside. Untidy gardens and stacked up furniture clearly visible.
we liked the peaceful atmosphere and cleanliness of rooms and grounds also the pool and facility of bicyclle hire we thought it would be nice if there was a bar or simmple restaurant to enjoy some company of an evening,as there was very little evening activity in the village (tthe local bar was clised)
A quaint hotel with friendly owner situated among vineyards. Large rooms with kitchenette but no restaurant - 3 mins drive. Breakfast included.
Nice enviroment, kind staff and beautiful rooms. Noiseless and relaxed. For those with children there is a new McDonal just two minutes away.
The chateau was beautifully restored by the owners and they were charming hosts.
The accommodation and owners were both lovely, they did everything to make us feel welcome. I would recommend it. The only thing was the gravel in the inner courtyard which made it difficult for my partner to walk and to wheel my suitcase across to my room, it would be better if it was a solid surface, also as it was raining it was a little bit messy. Secondly, in the room there was nowhere to put our case and I felt awkward as I had to place it on top of a very nice chair.
The setting. This is a work in progreass hotel.
It is a peaceful setting overlooking a vineyard. You ar in the country, but in 5 minutes you can walk to the bakery, a restaurant, a brasserie and tourist information. It was quaint, peaceful and full of antiques. Breakfast was included in my room rate and was very good, lots of choices. The staff are very friendly and offer restaurant suggestions in town and a few towns away. There was a terrible rain storm one night and we woke up to 2 inches of water in our room. We were in a room on the main floor on the lowest level. Our hosts were very gracious to move us out to another room and very apologetic. The soil is clay with crusshed rock on top. Unfortunately it rained to heavy and long for the ground to absorb the water.
