Wake up to the sound of the sea. Not only a great place to stay, but you also get to enjoy west coast specialities in our restaurant and fantastic views.
Pros: Good and central location. Nice views from the lobby and restaurant.
Cons: Our room had a view to the parking lot and was very very small (we did not even have space for the luggage!) - probably the cheapest and worst category but for a relatively high price! In addition, the staff was very unfriendly and the processes are not customer oriented at all. For example was the breakfest buffet removed prior to the official end time or you need a special key card for sauna and gym which expires every day! Parking is quite expensive, the TV set was not working accurately etc. In a nutshell: Low value for the high room rates. Usually, Scandic offers better quality and customer experience, but unfortunately, this hotel is just a franchisee of the chain!
Pros: The breakfast was great even for vegans. Yoghurt in two kinds, cereal, nuts and many different kinds of fruits. Nice bread, good coffee, peanut butter etc. Nice view from my room overlooking the bay. Super friendly, helpful and professional staff who let me use their phone when mine didn't work. Nice lobby area to hang out with a coffee after check out. Comfy beds and good room
Cons: Shoud get better peanut butter at breakfast and more vegan spreads for the bread and vegan pancakes. Some vegan options when the others got cooked eggs and bacon.
Pros: If you're staying in Stromstad, it's likely you're there for the sea, and particularly a trip across to the Koster Islands. This hotel is as close as you can get to the ferry, but by being up on a cliff you still feel away from the comings and goings. The views are spectacular from every window.
Pros: Very well run ! Excellent food and superb staff and serevive in the bar and dining and breakfaet ! Parking very good in a tight town Totally efficient and very open and clean
Pros: Good check-in. We didn't like the room we were given but this was quickly resolved. Well done to the staff! Very good breakfast
Cons: Air conditioning was a little noisy.
Pros: Great location. Have been here several times and the quality is high and stabel ! Nice breakfast. A bit crowdy afther 8.30
Cons: Prices a bit high in in summer seasoon but not total out of range.............
Pros: The view and the lokation.
Pros: Very good service the locationis fantastic
Pros: Comfy beds, beautiful view, great shower, extremely good breakfast selection and helpful polite staff.
Cons: The position of TV.

Pros: Awesome spa. Great breakfast.
Pros: Room with no Air Cond./ circulation, very loud music from bar, could not sleep, staff with no empati/no understanding, restaurant dinner buffet: not clean/messy, cold food and expensive, no understanding when complaining in the reception.
Cons: See above
Pros: Bed, shampoo, soap. Food
Pros: Perfect holiday!
Pros: The mexican crumble- a drink we got served in the bar. The spa was amasing with a lot of fasilities.
Cons: It was few offers for beeing saturday night, no live music, no biljard table. A little dull to be honest.
Pros: Frendly staff, nice spa, good location
Cons: Not possible with doble bed - only twin beds
Pros: Arrived late night around 4 am after late flight from Amsterdam (and travelled ~3 hours from Gothenburg), and was greeted warmly by the receptionist who gladly assure a good rest night - which it was, for three peaceful nights. Excellent facilities and looked new. Staff at the receptionist and the restaurant was very helpful and reached out to the guests to offer assistance and advise (I was looking slightly lost at some point, awed by the beauty of the modern architecture and tranquil atmosphere). Recommendations by the staff on getting around the town and excursions to Nötholmen Island Nature Reserve, Kosterhavet Marine National Park, Koster Islands, and Båtviksvägen Street in Kebal has enhanced my experience and stay. Hiking and cycling. I learned from the staff a few Swedish phrases as well! Cecile, Julia, and Linda - tack så mycket, mina goda vänner!
Cons: Potential improvement, suggest to have options for teenage bikes (with lower saddle height of less than 40") would be a plus for guests with family.
Pros: Nice resort property - very clean and great breakfast. We didn't know that spa bookings are required three weeks in advance, so we didn't take advantage of the spa. It is a large property/ marina and we didn't have a great view. Room had a very adequate kitchen for a longer stay.
Pros: Super good breakfast and friendly staff.
Pros: Location, breakfast
Cons: Cold, a bit industrial
When you stay at Nordby Hotell in Stromstad, you'll be connected to a shopping center and 15 minutes by car from Blomsholms Stone Ship. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Old facilities, not too clean. Not the best breakfast.
Pros: Comfy bed. Nice and quiet.
Cons: One lightbulb was out.
Pros: staff were great made us welcome. food good. room was very good. close to shopping centre. we will go back to this hotell
Pros: Location is convenient if you travel long distance to Norway. Rooms size is fine for one night.
Cons: Unfortunately the beds are too soft and you can skip the breakfast that is rather poor in quality and selection.
Pros: Breakfast is amazing
Cons: Some dust on lamps are visible
Pros: Breakfast was OK and rooms clean.
Cons: Location next to shopping center is bit noisy.
Pros: Easy to find. Near gass station. Near motorway. Macdonalds was near ,what was great for children i
Cons: Shoping center on the front balcony . Laudy shoping center parking washing car at 8 a.m. Sofa , where man can sleep,is nearly broken. it is more loks like hostel roms , than hotel roms.
Cons: Few Norwegian TV channels.
A stay at Roddaren Vandrarhem places you in the heart of Stromstad, within a 15-minute walk of Stromstad Museum and Strömstad Norra Port. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and microwave in a common area. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: very nice location, comfortable room, well equipped kitchen that we could use.
Pros: Very good and friendly service. Wifi worked well. The location to the center is perfect. The parking place near enough.
Cons: Could be a little bit cleaner.
Pros: Great location, very close to city center and ferry do Sandefjord. Room was small but clean. Toilet you have for your own, shower are downstairs for all people. You don't need to pay extra 100 SEK if you have your own bed linen. Price is very reasonable. Very friendly owner. There are 5 car parks for hostel guests.
Pros: Great place just to sleep over one night.
Cons: Wifi is slow.
Pros: Good facilities and great location!
Cons: Found no plates in the kitchen cabinet..
Pros: Nice park nearby
Pros: Easy access to city centre. Quiet local street.
Cons: Showers were not so clean in the ladies. Not sure of the men's.
Pros: Location and surroundings were fine.
Cons: Ok place to stay for a night, but perhaps on the pricey side when the costs for linens are included, and the fact that at a hotel, you don’t have to vacuum, clean and put bed linens on and off yourself. Might go for a hotel instead next time!
Pros: Location is good. Central, close to Bohusleden trail, close to a big supermarket. The kitchen is equipped. The laundry room seems to be free to use. Staff prepares breakfast in the laundry room- why!? I would not eat there for this reason.
Cons: No staff. Not even at the hours when they should be there, e.g 11 am checkout. The cleaning kit was tricky to find and the items were dirty. There should be a better description of required cleaning and clothes, cleaning detergents should be provided! Nobody is going to steal your toilet cleaner, what is the problem?? No rubbish sorting! Not even for paper. They are trying to make an impression with bins in the kitchen, BUT the bins in the yard are for all rubbish.
Pros: Central location, easy to walk around to the city centre. Excellent value for money, with clean toilets in the room and clean showers outside the room. The staff was nice and let the keys on the mailbox because we arrived late in the evening.
Located in Stromstad, Källviken Semesterby is on the boardwalk, within a 10-minute drive of Strömstad Golf Club and Nötholmen. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Place, staff was really good, but ventilation in room was nothing to vote for.
Pros: Facilities; Access to the beach
Cons: Rude staff from the restaurant
Pros: Fantastic situation near the coast and the skerries.
Cons: Extremely primitive rooms, zero comfort. Shared toilets and baths as you'll find in a camping site. Very expensive if you consider the level of service and comfort offered.
Cons: Drunk Norwegians in the night.
Pros: Nature literally around the corner, and beautiful views over the sea.
Cons: Cleanliness. And the cottages need urgent maintenance.
Pros: The location is excellent, very close to a beautiful small beach and in the middle of the forest. The hotel is good for family with access to kitchen facility. Rooms are clean at the beginning, but for longer stay not daily cleaning is provided. It is good value for money.
Cons: Some of the facilities listed are not in the hotel site and also the staff at the reception is very polite and solves the problems, but the communication in English might be challenge.
Pros: Peaceful place, close to the sea, beutiful beach and friendly staff !
Cons: Could be cleaner and more comfortable commen area
Pros: It had wonderful surroundings, a seawiew, and a beach a couple of minutes away. I especially liked the common kitchen areas, it was very easy to get in touch with other guests. I would like to comeback another time.
Cons: Dirty in the shower.
Pros: Nice. Rooms could have used some air conditioning.
Pros: The beach
Cons: Cleaningservice was not good.
