Despite the age of the hotel it was kept spotless. Whilst we appreciate that it is a two star hotel we did think that it is in need of refurbishment.
It was convenient for the ski slopes. It is very shabby.
The view. Hotels like this are fine if you get them at a really rock-bottom rate, but for the amount we paid I wasn't expecting mouldy bathrooms, chipped paintwork, tired DIY decor and fittings that come off in your hand. The whole place needs a serious make over, or a big cut in its prices.
Very clean and excellent bethroom. The hotel itself felt a little austere.
Nothing. I would recommend you remove it from your website. I accept that no 2 star hotel is going to be luxurious or well equipped however the Bel Angle was very dirty with stained restaurant walls and peeling wallpaper in the room. The whole place smelled of cooking fat; all of our clothes smelled of this for the rest of our stay in France. The only reason we stayed the night is because there was a festival in the town and all other accommodation was fully booked. It was so bad, we were prepared to lose the cost of the booking and pay for an alternative. I would definitely not recommend it to a friend or colleague (or even someone I don't like).
The very helpful attitude of the people running the hotel. It was very easy to find and very convenient for everything including parking. No
The situation, the price. Smell of cold tobacco in the bedroom ... simply awful
The hotel is fairly basic but clean, comfortable and really quiet at night. The staff are lovely - so friendly and helpful. It is very close to ski slopes (two minutes walk away!) and to the town centre. Bedroom at the front have balconies with terrific mountain views - sunrise is better than Prozac! Although there is WiFi, I had to ask for it to be activated every time I wanted to use it. It would be better for it to be left on all the time.
An extremely warm welcome from the receptionist who was very helpful and hotel was ideally situated within minutes of the ski slopes and town. Shame there was no facilities for dinner in hotel.
Good location, pleasant staff, good facilities.
The welcoming staff, excellent breakfast, great location and easy parking Not enough hooks in the bedroom to hang towels and clothes
c'est tres bon l'hotel. pres le piste dan Les Angles. n/a
A great hotel with a family atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. The view from the balcony window after sunrise was breath-taking. Excellent value for money and a very nice breakfast - though this is extra. Free wi-fi which worked really well.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Fantastic place to stay, even without the snow. Views brilliant, rooms very clean. The only problem we had was arriving after the suggested check in time. The recorded message is in French so was hard to access the building. Suggest calling hotel for access code if you are arriving late.
The hotel is well positioned for the area, is relatively new and comfortable. The views are very nice. We stayed in a room for 2/3, which had bunk beds and a sofabed. There was also a small kitchen area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen area in this size of room is only suitable for basic catering.
excellent. great location, brilliant for families, not like other ski resorts, loud and busy. ideal for us, definately return. no
Very comfortable and good value for the money, especially in the off season.
Apartmant was large enough, well heated and had the basics I think we missed out on the guidelines...the apartment had no linen and towels when we arrived with no welcome pack/instructions
it was a nice setting, lovely view, the staff were friendly, the rooms were small but comfortable enough, the jacuzzi was nice the price
beautiful alpine scenery, nice landscape, quit nice room, good facilities like pool, sauna. very good Pizza imbis in Pyréneés 2000. Might be a good hotel in hig season for skiing Please show a warning on web pages for low season (October): No body on the desk, desk when we arrived. Keys were on the desk in an envelope. Restaurent of La Pradella closed. The entire village Bolquére was out of service. Next open restaurant available in a distance of 20 KM (Spain). Machine for for soft drinks and sweets were put out of service (power cable was cut).
Very good attention of the staff none
super views, pool, jacuzzi and gym on 6th floor none
It has a very good central position, good access to the cable car Heating is a bit hit and miss
Location, in center of Font Romeu, is convenient. Panoramic view from sun deck on top floor.
Ideal for a weekend ski break Charge for garage parking, but the parking in the town is limited so it was worth having
Quietness, the bating facilities (Sauna, jaccuzi etc.) The common sitting room with bar closing at 10 p.m.
Breakfast The bed is uncomfortable and pillows poor. Did not sleep well the three nights I was there
In the middle of town very handy for all restaurants, bars and shops, parking is available but must be booked but plenty of car parks close by. The swimming pool was a bonus and rooftop jacuzzi was great with lovely views.. No shower curtain
It was clean - and a very good price The inability to see (from a website) exactly where the hotel was in the town
We loved the central location in Font Romeu. The panoramic views were exceptional and the decor beautiful. The hotelier was very friendly and helpful, and answered queries by e-mail prior to our arrival. The additional cost of car parking seemed expensive. Also there was the possibility of a further additional cost for cleaning the apartment but we opted to clean it ourselves instead.
1.)Very Romantic Appartment luxurious appartments. 3.) In the Village Centre. 3.) Nice WiFi Connection. 4.) Free parking Spots when you search for them. -
The suite / apartment was well appointed They demanded 300 euros security deposit on check-in. Not mentioned when booking online
It's a friendly, non-luxurious hotel, easy for families. Good restaurant, not very expensive.
helpful staff, nice restaurant, clean room,
On the main highway, easy to find, convenient for our travels. Small room. On their web site, the location of the hotel is incorrrect, almost went to the wrong town.
I loved the mountains. We were there in summer though, would love to see the place in winter. This hotel is the only place in the area that could had a open restaurant. We drove around looking for a cheaper place to eat, but the hotel was the only open place.
Ease of getting to several ski resorts The receptionist was rude and smoked inside the hotel, even though their was sign clearly marked 'no smoking' The hotel was very tired and had not seen a coat of paint in at least 20 years. The beds were very uncomfortable and needed new mattresses. The breakfast was OK but the hot food was cold and I would not order the Coq au Van – awful.
The hotel was warm, comfortable and inviting after a days skiing, with helpful, friendly and obliging staff. The views from our room balcony were lovely, and an explore of the walled village at night fabulous. There was nothing that we did not like about the hotel
The views from the dining room and the closeness to a major historical site Parking difficult on edge of busy main road. Attitude of staff the least welcoming of all six hotels booked through you. Poor and grumpy service in restaurant and food of lower standard for price than at other hotels and restaurants visited.
The hotel was clean and friendly They advertised widely a fixed preced menu including drinks that they could not deliver.
This hotel is quite far from the center of font romeu, so you neeed a car to do any shopping. But you get yourself a very quiet hotel with free parking/wifi/swiming pool.
Unfortunately, the weather was terrible during our stay (thick fog and constant rain) so there was no opportunity to take advantage of the "view" of the mountains. Moreover, the town itself was absolutely dead--no shops open, no restaurants--so we had to eat at the hotel, where the food was mediocre at best, though the service was courteous. Very small rooms, bad food in restaurant
The demi-pension is excellent: good food and wine at a reasonable price
good parking. Close to 'Little Yellow Train' station
I do not drive: I'm glad it was near railway station; it's in a pleasant situation. Despite my poor French, I could communicate well enough and staff were friendly and helpful.
The warmth and friendliness of the owner, and the fact it was outside of the main hustle and bustle of the town.
Staff Views Room Not a central location
This is a surprisingly large hotel for a family run business. The folks who run it are very friendly and helpful and the wife speaks quite good English. The accomodation is fairly basic but clean and comfortable. The food is lovely - good home cookin'! If you have a room at the front (small extra charge) you can enjoy beautiful scenery from your balcony. Great value for money. Towels are only changed every three days unless you pay extra. I think you should be entitled to a change of any wet towels without charge. Though the food is excellent, some choice would be nice. Satellite British TV would also be a good touch - French TV isn't much use if you want British news/programmes!
The hotel was fair value and because we were out each day skiing the lack of facilities did not bother us greatly. Rooms were rather small especially for three people and the bathroom layout was particularly poor. The lack of constant hot water was a serious drawback.
They were able to accomodate a family of 5 in one room at a reasonable rate and the swimming pool was very welcome.
