Pros: Romantic, wonderful, nothing to complain about once we arrived.
Cons: Really hard to find, but our fault for not having access to the info the hosts emailed to us.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very authentic in a beautiful old building and they decorated it very creatively, well appointed. The food was very fresh and exotic, I loved the breakfast.
Cons: Last day they were open, had issue with old electricity, but I know they will fix it. Packing in the dark was difficult. But I would certainly go back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view of the valley from our bedroom widow was breathtaking. The breakfast was a renewed exquisite experience every morning. The property features great taste throughout (it is the first time I see bath towels of different colours, simple yet thoughtful). The hosts were very welcoming and gave us precious advice about the area. We felt “at home” while in the property and sure hope to be able to visit again one day. D’ici & d’ailleurs made our stay in Cordes unforgettable.
Cons: Can’t think of anything we didn’t like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property has a wonderful host, the rooms are huge, the beds are comfortable, the views are fantastic, and the breakfast has many wonderful things to choose from. It's obvious that the owners are working very hard to give travelers an enjoyable stay. They have parking handy which is a plus in a medieval town.

Pros: Breakfast was splendid, the owner was friendly, unforgettable, nothing was too much Very nice house, much space even in a historic town Thanks a lot !!!!
Cons: The restaurants in the neybourghoud !! Restaurant with a paramantic view on top of the village is an insult for every visitor, tourist, native or horecapeople Food was very, very bad and was in a scene of Fawlty Towers, the boss had too much to drink The day afterwards, we discovered he drunk constantly in another restaurant/bar lower in the village Even that restaurant/bar:CREPERIE WAS very bad Cordes, we will not come back, a lot of restaurants and shops were closed (may 2019)

Pros: Located in an exquisitely restored castle. We felt like we were guests in a truly beautiful home. Breakfast was served in a large room with priceless antiques and paintings with a view of the valley below. Croissants cake and three jams were all prepared by the owner of the property. Fresh juices fruits cereal cheese and local ham are all included in the wonderfully prepared breakfast. Travel tips were really helpful by our hosts. Very clean. Great location. Can’t say enough.

Pros: A beautiful place with the best host .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We not only liked we loved EVERYTHING. The property was superb, the owners couldn’t have been more helpful, accommodating, friendly. They had already booked us a Restaurant (if we needed it.....which we did), and we had a wonderful meal. I mentioned it was my husbands birthday and they upgraded us from a smaller (albeit lovely) room to a suite, which was very much appreciated and was lovely. Honestly can’t think of a negative thing to say about the whole experience, from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Will definitely definitely go back hopefully for a longer stay, cannot wait. Thank you.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved the ambience, history, hospitality and views. Bakea has been lovingly restored and is a wonderful experience if you enjoy boutique accommodation. We especially appreciated the beautiful homemade breakfast, dinner recommendation and stunning view over the valley. Thank you!
Cons: There’s a lot of steps which didn’t bother us but it would be hard for some people to navigate - especially carrying a suitcase. Small thing but the shower head kept ‘drooping’ which made it a bit hard to use.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cordes- sur - Ciel is the most beautiful hill top town surrounded by equally, beautiful countryside and stunning villages, that are definitely worth visiting. This peaceful, historic house will take you back in time. Marie, is the most elegant and caring hostess who wishes to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious ( bread, cheese, ham, jams, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, cake and home made croissants, taken in the most beautiful dining room of their home with views on to the terrace and beyond. Upon our arrival , without us having requested, Marie had already reserved for us a table at a good restaurant, 3-4 minutes walk, so we would avoid the tourist traps, how’s that for service? It was a beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious. The towns central square is 3-4 minutes walk also. We were also given maps and details of all the lovely surrounding villages to visit. A memorable stay.
Cons: We had to leave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host and hostess of La Maison Bakea were fantastic. We were given a short history of this beautiful establishment which dates back to medieval time. The furnishings were authentic antiques and carefully chosen by the owners. Maria made us feel like we arrived to a special place and were treated like family. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful and all of the accommodations were first rate. We highly recommend La Maison Bakea for a restful and peaceful respite.

Pros: wonderfully restored building in a beautiful area. Copious breakfast, helpful, caring hosts and great value.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What an incredible place! We spent only one night at La Bastide but wish it had been much longer! Celia and Jacques welcomed us into their incredible home and took their time to show us around and tell us the fascinating story of how their project came together. The house is as beautiful, or more, as you see on the pictures. It is built and decorated with such taste, care and detail. We wish we could have enjoyed their fantastic garden, and will make sure to be back in the summer to really make the most of this wonderful place. Breakfast was homemade and really really good! Oh! and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. We loved everything about our stay!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house, great shower, lovely couple, superb breakfast, wifi but no tv, very quiet location, owners generous with their time and flexible with leaving luggage etc.
Cons: No access to tea and coffee throughout the day, and we were gasping for a drink on arrival! The owner did offer us and bring us tea and biscuits on day two, but it's nice to have it accessible for when you want it.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the garden. It was a real feast with several courses & Celia was very accommodating regarding special requirements. Pros: Magical location and charming host and hostess who did everything to make our stay enjoyable
Cons: Our room had v low ceiling and steep staircase to sleeping area
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful owners/operators went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home.Excellent breakfast with homemade jams and teas. Comfortable beds and sitting area. Beautiful bathroom.Beautiful restored home and the thick walls helped keep the house cooler. I think we are just spoiled because everything is air conditioned in America. We happened to hit a very hot week even up on the mountain, and sleeping was difficult although the beds were very comfortable. But I loved this special couple that own the Bastide and understand why many people call this Paradise. You don't get a prettier place or a nicer couple.i'd go back in the fall and stay longer just to rest and enjoy.
Cons: It was further out of town than expected when I booked. Also, there was no air conditioning and it was a hot week, so getting to sleep was a bit difficult.

Pros: Very friendly and charming host, beautiful home with great features and antiques. Wonderful breakfast, quiet neighbourhood with lots of history and character. Short drive to Cordes-sur-Ciel medieval hill town. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed.

Pros: The whole experience of staying at Chalet Labistoul was fantastic. The location was ideal being at the end of a track, totally peaceful and close enough to be able to walk to the small town if you don't want to drive. The hosts were great with them being attentive to detail and available if needed. Great facilities if you wish to self-cater.
Cons: We can honestly say there was nothing we didn't like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What is there not to like. We booked at 3.30pm and arrived at 5pm to be greeted with a lovely warm smile from Margot the owner who was out watering the plants. The room was on the ground floor and was delightful; plenty of space with our own ensuite which was bigger than some rooms we;ve stayed in. Both the owners were charming and welcoming, they couldn't do more to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was continental 'plus' with home made jams to go with the croisants and french bread. Highly recommended.
Cons: Nothing really. The pool was a little walk from the house (50m) but as we weren't going to use it, it didn't matter.

The hosts who were so very welcoming facilitated us having breakfast on our patio both mornings which was just perfect, eggs included, fresh fruit and yogurt, the coffee was super too. The extra touches like the small bar which was well priced for beer and soft drinks was excellent and to add the free tea & coffee is very thoughtful. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcoming hosts. They made time to have a chat with useful tips about the area. The swimming pool was large and spotless. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was exceptionally helpful. We arrived in Toulouse by plane and he offered to pick my grand daughter and I up, and when we were leaving he took us to the train station an hour away. He also offered to drive us to town for dinner as it is uphill and as I am 80 it was a bit difficult especially in the heat. The swimming pool was great as we had been in several Italian cities in extreme heat and were ready for the country. There were sun flower fields all around and it is one of the most beautiful areas, and village, I have ever been to. The dog and two cats were a bonus.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a great place to stay. We had a lovely room with a balcony with a superb view. Our hosts could not have looked after us better, lovely and filling breakfast served to suit our timing, such nice people. Cons: Nothing!

Thank you Dorothy this place is perfect
Cons: From other reviews I wish we had arrived when Dorothy was there. We were shown to our room by a lovely lady but no explanation about the building or breakfast so I think we missed out on what this fabulous place has to offer. When we did meet Dorothy in the morning she was so welcoming. I do feel booking.com is misleading however....we have a hot tub on our booking but there isn't one - too classy an establishment to have one anyway. Booking.com also stated that breakfast was not available and it was and again we missed out!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for a night as we walked through. Clean, comfortable room. Perfect location in a beautifully situated village. So peaceful and quiet. Tasty breakfast. The owner couldn’t have been more hospitable. She thoughtfully pre-arranged a restaurant booking prior to our arrival and without our asking as her restaurant was closed that night. She also helped us prep a lunch for our walk the next day. Excellent experience and highly recommended!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Auberge was right in the heart of a delightful village. Comfortable and safe with adequate food in the local restaurants less than 100m away. Narrow streets and outstanding views including a sunset (which I didn't photograph in time). Hostess was charming and helpful. Would recommend.
Cons: Nothing really - no criticisms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I spent a very pleasant night in this very impressive property, whilst travelling in the area. I had wanted to visit Puycelsi for some time, and it was the perfect location - right in the village itself. My room was comfortable, and continental breakfast was excellent, made with the freshest produce. I also found the owner to be very helpful with advice on the route(s) to take on my way back to Gaillac. In short, my visit lacked for nothing.
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming building in the centre of a beautiful small town. Very comfortable, very welcoming, very clean, very convenient and relaxing
Cons: Parking is a bit tricky, but that is a tiny niggle.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful village Lovely building Good spacious rooms quiet
Cons: The owners are rather "stiff" in their manner. Both are non French (Aus and US i think) so communication for overseas visitors is easy but they come across as rather distracted. Arrival wassomewhat chaotic and their is a warmth missing.

Pros: The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They were not cooking the night we were there but recommended an excellent restaurant. The quality of the breakfast was excellent, so dinner reservations would be highly recommended. There is a lovely garden and the interior of the dining area is full of charm......including a well!
Cons: The location was a bit tricky to find but a local resident gave us directions. Good parking nearby.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable property with easy access to Cordes-sur-Ciel (approx 1km) and the surrounding region. Best coffee around... Many thanks to Nico & Christianne for the wonderful stay and amazing dinner.
Cons: GPS sent us to the wrong place - no thanks to Google or Garmin - something I know Nico has been trying to get sorted.

Pros: It is in a real pleasure to stay here. Very friendly, beautiful rooms, very clean all over and Helene is a perfect cook! I would love to visit this place again one day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In a village with great community feel, rooms very quiet ( except for church chimes at 8 am). The bed was very comfortable. Best of all was the table d’hôtes: Madame is delighted to make the evening meal, with aperitif, entrée, main course, cheese, coffee/tea and wine for an amazing price. We had three evening meals, all delicious. There is a beautiful terrace, perfect exposure for warm summer days. There are lots of walks all around the area, as well as the Gaillac wines. Madame has all the information you will need for shorter or longer day trips.

Pros: Really friendly and helpful host, I instantly felt myself like at home. She provided home cooked dinner, arranged it as a nice calm evening with friends. Bath - WOW! Sadly, I needed to leave at 6:30 - and I got breakfast, specially for me, this early

Pros: Unique experience and a wonderful old chateaux with fantastic features. The owners were so nice and helpful. A special place.
Cons: It wad perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Fantastic, renovated winery/chateau in the French countryside. Owners were so accommodating...they do not serve dinner, but because we walked in and were without transport to a restaurant for dinner, they kindly provided us with a perfect picnic dinner in the medieval dining hall. A wonderful experience!

Pros: Beautifully restored, welcoming and friendly and very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful accommodation in a wonderful setting. We had a very comfortable room with great views. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. They provided an excellent breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a 12th century chateau and falls into no categories. It is in a fairly isolated location on an organic vineyard - great wines. The owners are delightful hosts and provide just 2 rooms of antique charm on the top floor and a good breakfast. We needed it as a base near friends and this was the perfect peaceful option
Cons: It is on the top floor so if you cannot do stairs this is not suitable. There are few shops or restaurants close by. This could be an advantage!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The historical building so carefully restored with attached vineyard where you can try and buy the wines.
Cons: Nothing - all was lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Château de Mayragues is set in a very quiet, rural location. although you can walk to the nearest village across the picturesque countryside, which takes about 30minutes. The Château has been lovingly restored by its owners. Our bedroom was very tastefully decorated with lovely french linen bedding and a very comfy bed, we slept extremely well. We were given a warm welcome and looked after very well during our 2 day visit. We were given detailed information about the area, tips on walks and places to eat, including a very good Michelin star restaurant. The breakfast was delicious, typically french and served in a stunning dining room. The Chateau has its own vineyard and the wine is produced in the grounds, we were treated to a fascinating tour and wine tasting experience. Château de Mayragues is such a unique and wonderful place, not to be missed.

Pros: They went above & beyond to offer up anything to make it pleasurable: told us how to get to town, find a picnic spot, groceries, music, & were helpful letting us park our bicycles in their garage.
Cons: Can’t think of anything that I would say here
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly couple who went out of their way to please. Lovely quiet location. Clean rooms. Good breakfast.
Cons: Would have preferred cushions on sunbeds and longer pool opening hours, especially first thing in the morning.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location and very clean, but basic. Breakfast was good. Staff great.
Cons: Nothing special here or outstanding in any way, functional.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice quite location. Perfect for places we wanted to visit. Friendly staff. Beautiful surroundings great for walks, sightseeing etc.
Cons: Swimming pool not open, which was a little disappointing as it was one of the reasons we booked this accommodation. However the manager was very apologetic and we understand that these thing happen.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel and grounds, stayed with my family and our dog. Hotel has a lovely view of Cordes Sur Ceil and the staff were really welcoming. Highly recommend.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable bedroom. Added bonus of a lift to the first floor accommodation. Very enjoyable breakfast of locally sourced foods and home made dishes. Wonderful location with views of Cordes-sur-Ciel in its own large grounds in a beautifully quiet environment. The staff were all very attentive, efficient and friendly.
Cons: Our only disappointment was that the restaurant, which is shown on their website, appears to be closed for the mid term at least. If it returns and is up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel it would be an amazing place. The suggested bistro style restaurant in Cordes (Le Bistrot Cordais) however was a bit of a let down. Our advice is to find a better restaurant to complete a most enjoyable stopover. Oh yes.... the only other disappointment was that we'd only booked one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An excellent choice for anyone who wants comfort in an extremely peaceful, quiet location, with the amazing Cordes-sur-Ciel within walkable distance for the energetic (about half an hour). Extremely helpful and friendly staff, a spacious and comfortable room.
Cons: Next time we'll be sure to book when the pool is open!
7.0 Good

Cons: restaurant closed no internet vendingmachine out of service no staff at reception after 2Oh garden and parking could be better maintained ...

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Second visit. Loved it the first time still do! Location couldn’t be better in this beautiful old town.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb - right in the heart of the old village - though it felt a bit scary taking a hire car through the narrow gate in the inner wall and tackling the very steep cobbles within ! The staff were very welcoming and eg gave us advice on where to find open restaurants (their own was closed) in what was very much off season (mid-Jan) and also suggestions on places to see which aren't necessarily on the main tourist radar. Overnight parking in the small square by the church worked fine while we were there but we gather this can be an issue when area is busier. Really liked the 'character' of the hotel - including full suit of armour on the stairs!
Cons: Servicing the room was a bit erratic - not an issue but would have been nice to know when to expect it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, in the heart of the old city. Nice atmosphere at check-in, in the restaurant, at breakfast. Fine dining in the restaurant exceeded our expectations. The view from our room was memorable.
Cons: Staff were a bit arrogant and snooty at times, although we put it down to the chaos of the start-up season. The room had some drawbacks, not the least, a lumpy bed and an uncomfortable bathroom sink. Parking was not very convenient.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Room was too hot and airless, the breakfast was too expensive, and the staff were not very helpful or caring. A disappointment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food.
Cons: Nothing
