Good, cheap accommodation for a quiet break in summer/autumn. Surrounded by nice mountain views and friendly pubs and restaurants (so different from Paris!) The beds were quite hard, and although the room had a nice kitchenette there wasn't any basic supplied like dishwashing liquid or coffee sachets (but easily fixed by a trip to the supermarket)
Secure car parking was the reason we used this hotel and that was excellent. It was a gated car park underneath the hotel and and the car spaces were large enough to park a medium sized family car The room was relatively small and the kitchen facilities were very limited-there was no kettle and no large cups or mugs for drinks. There was a fridge and a 2 ring hob. When we stayed the temperature was in the 30's and the lack of airconditioning was a minus.
We enjoyed the central location and the privacy that the hotel afforded. The staff were very helpful and it was quiet at night.
The attendant very kindly allowed us to check into the hotel before 16:00. The hotel was quiet and close to the downtown core. Hotels guests are not generally permitted to book in before 16:00h - a great inconvenience. The room was very dirty. There was no dishdetergent nor any dishclothes or dishtowels with which to clean dishes. The dishes were dirty. Hotel users are not likely to bring these items with them, and these should be provided.
Information about parking should be clearer because unless i understood incorrectly we were advised that our car with roof box would not fit so we had to leave it parked on the main road outside.
area it was in Breakfast not available early at 7.30and then couldnt check out at 8am
Hotel in a excellent position, with off road parking. Staff did not turn up until we had to phone them.
Availability of fridge and kitchenette in the room, good price, locked stroage for bicycles. Location a bit far from the station without a car, although a bus stop was available just outside the door,
Design, Top service. Everything was perfect. Its longtime I haven't fell so well in a hotel!!! No complaints at all.
Friendly, luxurious great place to stay in a beatifull village.
A very elegant apartment, well planned and laid out with all sorts of gizmos - living flame gas fire, big screen TV, iPod, etc The apartment is not actually near the hotel. We arrived at a locked door with a note telling us to call them. They said they would be round to let us in in 15 minutes - we sat on the street till let in. The owner treated us as complete morons in expecting to be let in quicker. And was agresive towards us. Not a happy experience and left us disillusioned with he place, even though the apartment itself was very nice.
Very central with secure parking, helpful staff, comfortable and welcoming reception area Our room was very small with a small double bed even though it was furnished attractively in alpine style. Breakfast basic, should have been part of the room price. Only one small lift.
A pleasant, traditional feel and ambiance, combined with good facilities and very friendly staff. Really good lack of a restaurant
Location Yes. One of our rooms was infested with cockroaches. The bathroom smelled unpleasantly.
Central location, ease of booking No
The location of the hotel was very good. I thought our room was adequate but fairly expensive for the standard. Plenty of hot water but the bathroom was in great need of refurbishment. I found the bed uncomfortable.
Although receptionstaff were friendly and helpful, our stay was spoiled by the attitude of the staff at breakfast where we got the distinct impression that we were not specially welcome,
Nice hotel right in the centre of the town
Wonderful charm. Free internet use on hotel computer. Highly recommended.
Design, decocaration. It is really beautiful and in city centre. That staff does not speak English.
Excellent location right in the city center of Chambéry -- main attractions and the old city is right at the doorstep of the hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff. Not expensive, great for a city trip weekend!
We did not have much time to explore around the hotel or the facilities, the room was very comfortabel and quality of the bed was great. We did not stay for Breakfast but it seem little expensive at 20 Euro p.p for continantial breakfast.
Room was large and well furnished with a spacious bathroom. Restaurant food was particularly good with an excellent, creative and innovative chef. One of the best meals we have eaten anywhere Difficult to find, final section of driveway hazardous, Room service drinks etc very expensive
Beautitul hotel, great bathroom! Poor selection at breakfast, not great value for money at 15 euros. Facilities to make a drink in your room would have been nice. No shower.
Its location Breakfast
The restaurant was excellent. The hotel appears to be mostly a good restaurant with room attached. This is fine for a single overnight stay but not for three nights. The facilities in the room were poor - no tea/coffee facilities, no note paper, no room service etc. The attitude of the hotel staff left a lot to be desired. The attitude of the restaurant staff was, however, excellent.
20 Euros per person for the breakfast was far too much, more than 15 Euros can not be justified, also for such a hotel I also expected better foreign language skills.
Extremely good food, but expensive. Poor english spoken people. Very romantic room. We informed in before our engagement should be at the hotel during our stay. No "extra" from the hotel at all (glas of champagne, extra flowers at our table etc)
The restaurant was excellent. The welcome wasn't very friendly, but other staff were nice.
staff for their help and assistance. Cost of dinner - more than the room. re question below - yes but don't eat.
Had a great Time - stafdf was lovely - really appreciated the beatiful breakfast with a good choice - loved the poool too !! We will come back !! On a tout apprecie, l'hotel le staff , la petite piscine et aussi le cadre tres roimantique et très agreable !! Merci pour tout , ov va surmente raccomander votre Hotel Andrea - Italie
Close to train station I felt prices of meals especially breakfast and drinks was too high
Check-in took less than a minute. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and warm.
Nice big room. Good place opposite the train station.
The hotel was very convienently located opposite train station and was a short walk to the charming town centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice size and had everything you would need.
Location was great. Breakfast was not included.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent. My wife would have liked tea making facilities in the room.
Efficient, practical, room clean and comfortable, buffet easy to access, garage convenient Pity there is no restaurant for dinner at the hotel, but room service was available and the restaurant outside was very close to the hotel, so it was not a major problem.
The staff was very helpful and the hotel is convenient situated for our cycle trip from Switzerland to Provence. It would be an advantage, if there would be a dry space to store the bicycles over night.
Nice place. Smsll room but cosy. Inside the room they offer kettle, hair-dryier, every day cleaning service.
Pleasant staff and central location Room starting to look shabby with broken light fitting and broken shower unit
Good value for money. Some furnitures are used and need replacement. Two of my colleagues were moved 2 times to be in a room where everything was functionning.
The dinner was good and good value, friendly waitress, and was available at a late hour The sliding bathroom door was broken. Extra pillows should have been available in the room
The service at this hotel is better than anything I have ever experienced. Without exception, the staff were polite, courteous, friendly and cheerful. We stayed one night with our 7-year old daughter and were not charged for the extra bed that was supplied. The restaurant was excellent and the food was very reasonably priced. The location is also very good. Easy to find close to Grenoble and five minutes walk from the major local attraction - the Chartreuse caverns.
Clean and tidy room, comfortable bed, staff were polite and quite friendly. Double Room felt a bit cramped and the walls were not very thick, making it easy to hear nearly everything in rooms around you.
Warm, clean and easy to find. The restaurant open untill 23:00hrs
Very comfortable bed and good air conditioning. Parking available and convenient for onward travel. Restaurant closed on Sunday night, no information about this available on your site or that of the hotel. On request, reception provided a town centre map and marked the area where restaurants are found. However, most of the restaurants in Voiron are also closed on Sunday night - it would be better that they provided clear information rather than sending us to places that are closed. We did find one place to eat which was open by asking a couple in the centre of town. The proprietor there confirmed the closure of restaurants saying that chefs want to spend Sunday with their families.
Room and facilities were excellent. Staff very helpful. Only suggestions would be to improve the lounge, meeting area in foyer especially when guests have to use this area for WiFi access.for such a quality hotel in a good location for business and holiday travelers ( whi do not want to stay in big city), WiFi access in rooms would be big improvement. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay and room was great.
Clean, air condition, next to the highway (easy to find). Free parking. In the family room, there is a small refridgerator, sink, and even a small dishwasher, but there is not any plates, forks, spoons, glasses, etc. So if you want make your on evening snack or breakfast you have to bring your own set of cutlery or buy from a nearby shop. Swimming pool was a bit small.
The rooms were very pretty and the beds extremely comfortable. the outdoor pool was also a bonus No changing facilities for the pool
Pleaseant hotel, easy to find near the highway. Friendly staff, nice swimming pool and good restarant, both for dinner and breakfast.
Surprisingly nice restaurant with an excellent kitchen! Wonderful, cooperative staff. Very bright, nice rooms.
Hotel was a bit difficult to locate - needed to use car to find places to eat in Voiron.
Good breakfast good location very close to the highway so it was very easy to find very clean rooms The rooms where too small they were one level under the reception no lift I had to carry my laggages and go down few steps
Clean and welcoming
Very efficient for business purposes. Right size of room and quite. Located near the industrial area but also at short distance of Chambery. Service as it should be, nice people!
We enjoyed a restful and relaxed stay at this modern, comfortable hotel. Reception was extremely helpful, speaking perfect English and our room was spacious, very clean and well decorated. We look forward to our next visit in 2011.
The reception desk staff were excellent The restaurant staff were awful. We were shown to our table then ignored for 20 minutes while people who came in after us were served drinks & had their orders taken. We left & found a very nice restaurant in the town centre.
Location was convenient.
Very family friendly, as all Novetels are A bit tatty and run down on all aspects. Aircon needs to be stronger, breakfast needs to be fresher
Convenient for Grenoble and surrounding area. Comfortable and staff helpful.
easy access from the airport welcoming from start to finish looking forward to returning next year unless there is a special offer might return before then...Ronan Twomey
Good location close to motorway. Friendly staff. The food in the restaurant.
Overall comfort and helpful staff, good breakfast, convenient location
Children stay free, also it is very nice to see that children do not pay for breakfast, this is an unusual and welcome experience
The view and location was great. It was a charming place. Restaurant and breakfast were expensive.
The restaurant is fantastic, location, service and above all the food! We were received by a very unpleasant and rude female receptionist. Fortunately she was replaced by very nice and helpfull collegues the following morning and the day after. Our bathroom really needed some upgrading.
The chateau is remarkable and historical. The food is excellent.
The building and grounds Room was quiet Water was only slightly warm morning and evening Comforter on bed not as good as sheet and blanket as you are either too hot or too cool Meals were good in restaurant but seating us amongst a large group made dining unpleasant, we later dined elsewhere. No clean spaces for breakfast available.
Setting and ambiance. no
Very relaxed and comfortable We used this as a stop over en route to the Alps. The room rate was very good value. The restuarant is very good but quite expensive
The hotel is in elegant converted chateau situated above the valley, with gardens and mature trees. Excellent restaurant, with tables on verandah. Interior of hotel a slight disappointment after elegant external appearance of chateau. Room was a little shabby, although perfectly clean and confortable
A first class place to stay.We would definately recommend the chateau
The restaurant was excelent. Service was "nice". The rooms were a bit outdated.
The Food No hot water in rooms allocated. New room had hot but not cold water, Gave up
Perfect location for all kind of activity > facilities and service like a 5 star hotel >and should be rated min 4 stars
Good value for price, convenient location, pleasant and comfortable room, good meals
Recent free WiFi is good. Good location for Meylan industrial zone (by car).
Just perfect and outstanding > and service superior > do not worry > you are in good hands > and have nice 10 days as we have had > thank you No !
wireless free of charge Not so mutch choise in the restaurant
The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable and provide very good value for the money.
All > the perfect place to stay > service superior > presumably the best Hotelin the region.
It's proximity to my clients. Though there was no kitchen open on Sunday when I arrived (7pm), the staff kindly made the effort of getting me a cold plate of food when I asked. WiFi signal was very bad and kept dropping out. There was no pc available to check email which required me to bring my own just for this. Rooms were tiny.
Enjoyed our stay very much, we were made most welcome and everything was spotlessly clean. Our room was very spacious. We particularly enjoyed the violin solo at breakfast - thank you, Philipe! Took a little time to find, but well worth the search!
It's a unique place in the heart of Chambery with parking facilities..Large rooms with antic furniture and paintings. Bathroom is large and renovated. Big flat screen TV and DVD player.Philippe and Edith were really lovely people. Good breakfast..Highly recommended accommodation. Nothing.
very clean hotel with nice antique furnitures. The owner (couple) were very friendly, kind and helpful. Their hospitality were so good!! I would stay there if I visit Chambery.
The peace and quiet!! It was a central location as well. No comment in this aspect.
The warmth, graciousness, helpfullness and hospitality of our hosts was incomparable. The room was large and quite comfortable. The bed was also perfectly comfortable. the bathroom was spacious with two sinks and a very nice shower. The hotel is right in the heart of the old city in a gorgeous old building that contributes to a fine feeling for "place." Can't say enough good things about it.
The room was nicely warm for our arrival on a cold night. The secure parking, (the gates are locked at night). The hotel is undergoing modernisation in certain areas, chiefly the restaurant area which appeared to affect the choice available for breakfast.
Quiet and pleasant. Good staff No
Good bed size restaraunt on site easy to find kettle in room No cnn, or other english channels on tv some road noise
This is an ideal location for a one night stay. The evening meal and the breakfast were both good.
Friendly staff - very clean hotel - good value for money Not easy to find - directions on the booking information should be better - location is not good - you need to stay on site or drive to find a good restaurant - but the the theme of Campanile
This is a good place to spend the night if you passes by Chambery. Do not spend time searching for resturants in the town Chambery. We were there at a sunday and hardly found any places to eat. It is better to use the hotel restaurant. They have a WI FI net at the hotel. Maybe the hotel personall should try to speak a little english.
Clean and conveneant and not too expensive
clean, comfortable - perfect for a stopover on way to ski resort
the breakfast was nice--nice choices and the hostess was friendly. The rooms were spacious The rooms were plain--no art on the walls!--and bathrooms were dated. The partial glass wall on the bathtub did little to keep the water from flooding the floor. The towels were cheap and flimsy and so were the bath products.
Needed hotel between Grenoble airport and Corchevel in Alps that was located close to route that was warm clean and not too expensive. Difficult to access hotel from dual carriage way.Breakfast buffet expensive.
The room was very clean and with a lot of space. Big parking for the cars
There's a beautiful view of the Alps montains just outside my hotel window. The whole city is surrounded by mountains, there are streams, a river and lots of vegetation. Beautiful scenery. The public computer for browsing the web is outdated at best. I could not use the hotel's wifi since my laptop's wifi set-up was bad, so I tried to use the public dektop PC; it was impossible to do anything on that system. The hotel should either upgrade it or decommission it all together.
