Pros: The use of the swimming pool was a real bonus after a hot day. The bedroom was spacious with a large comfortable bed and the breakfast was magnificent, fresh bread, brioche, meat and cheeses, crepes, yoghurt, homemade jams and freshly squeezed orange juice, all perfect. The host was friendly and welcoming despite our lack of French and her lack of English, we were provided with garage space for our motorcycle. We couldn't have asked for any more.
Pros: The room was large, very well made and decorated, the bed was large and comfortable, the bathroom was immaculate (though it lacked a separate shower). Breakfast was entirely Breton and delicious. Madame was friendly and made every effort to please.
Cons: Location is remote with no facility for dinner within walking distance.
Pros: Our hosts were outstanding - friendly, informative, engaging. Dolly (wife) speaks French and enjoyed long conversations with them. Meals were fantastic.
Cons: We enjoyed the "isolation" but with a car connected to the heart of Brittany - the coast, canals, castles, country, even cathedrals!
Pros: Hosts superb. Very nice people. Based in a very rural area and it is a converted long house. Very peaceful. Swimming pool lovely. Breakfast tres Bon! Nearby town 10 min drive of Josselyn is a beautiful medieval town with nice restaurants
Pros: The hosts were wonderful people and made my stay very comfortable and relaxed
Pros: Tea on arrival and after coming back from dinner. Transport to restaurant and offer of return. Friendly and obliging. Very reasonable price.
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming, good breakfast
Cons: Was a little remote
Pros: Accommodation the best we have experienced. Breakfast perfect. Beds so comfy. Clean as a new pin. Sarah most accommodating in every way
Pros: Excellent location on the outskirts of a pleasant village close to the Nantes Brest canal. The owners stored our bikes for us overnight. On this occasion they also very kindly gave us a lift to and from the local restaurant for our evening meal after a days hard cycling!
Pros: We had a great welcome from Sarah. She is used to having cyclists and so had safe storage waiting for us plus a cup of tea for me and a hot chocolate for my son. All of which was very welcome. Our twin room was very comfortable with all facilities including an electic kettle and brew kit if we needed it. Sarah even drove us into Rohan to a nice Creperie for our evening meal and when we finished came to collect us. That is such a special thing to do! Our fellow guest were 2 French couples so at breakfast we had a lively discussion about France, Brexit and cycling all with good humour! The breakfast was great as well! I plan to go back with my wife next year.
Cons: Cycling up the last little hill to Moonflower Cottage.( Not really a problem!)
Pros: everything. just perfec for us
Pros: Bed really comfy and views lovely. Host very helpful.
Cons: Would have liked a small tv in our room. Too much furniture in the room.
Pros: Very quiet area, close to the Brest-Nantes canal, so great for walking and cycling although we never got to do that, since it was not easy to rent bikes out of season. Hosts were great, always available. Spotlessly clean throughout. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast (yoghurt, croissants, bread, coffee, fruit juice)
Cons: Beds are quite short and narrow, but this seems to be quite typical throughout France, so not specific to this B&B. Nothing really to complain about at all.
Pros: Great place to stay when cycling
Located in Buleon, Domaine de la Ferrière is within a 15-minute drive of Church Saint-Sauveur and Office de tourisme de Locmine. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Facility was closed when we arrived. Restaurant was closed. The facility had a bad odour. We checked out after only one night.
Pros: We really like the way the owner responded when we found out that his restaurant was unexpectedly closed for the time being. We were tired, hungry and in need of a meal which we had booked in advance but due to circumstance they were unable to feed us but made sure that we were taken into town and cared for. We think this hotel has great potential and we wish Yves and his team the very best of luck with their plans. It's extremely quiet and surrounded by lovely grounds. Around 15 minutes by car from Josselin. Wonderful breakfast.
Cons: Bathroom towels were a little thin but this is a detail. This independently owned hotel is so much better than many other independent old style French hotels.
Pros: Beautiful setting Lovely waitress Delicious dinner sitting outside
Cons: I felt the management had got a bit complacent. Guests to this kind of property expect big soft towels and glass glasses and just a bit more luxury.
Pros: Staff were very friendly and when we had problems with our car and onward travel arrangements they did everything they could to help us. We are genuinely grateful and so impressed by the team that run this gorgeous hotel. Lovely, large clean room. Also the pool and gardens and beautiful surroundings made our stay here extra special. The restaurant was superb, really fantastic chef who came out to meet us, preparing high quality dishes with local produce. Fantastic stay and fantastic service. We will be back!!
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: Beautifully presented; nice, welcoming staff comfortable accommodation, good food.
Cons: Nothing, really. Some bathroom fittings beginning to show their age slightly, but everything worked.
Pros: The feeling that I was Lord of the pre-revolutionary Manor! The swimming pool was a post revolutionary bonus. Vive La France!
Pros: Location and aspect very tranquil, I will look forward to my next visit.
Pros: Very friendly staff and a beautiful setting. Quick access to main toad too.
Cons: Room decor not in keeping with the period property.
Pros: Loved the Chateau. It had wonderful grounds and the rooms were large and airy . They also had a great beer on tap . The evening meal was sensational to say the least . We couldn’t fault As a group of four Guys in touring cars there was plenty of parking space
Cons: We couldn’t fault it
Pros: The welcome and friendliness of the staff and proprietor. We all reciprocated in expressing interest in our various life styles.

Cons: If there was anything, for me the bed was rather small, but I am rather large||

Pros: The bath and bathroom was realy lovely,we had an evening meal, and turned out rather expensive as most things were charged for seperately, probably our fault, and the main course was fish which my husband doesn't eat !!!
Cons: Breakfast,we have been spoilt most places we have stayed.
Pros: Fabulously situated house right on the canal. Excellent breakfast with home made yoghurt and jams, we were made very welcome by Agnés, and by Véronique, who was charming. Good value too.
Pros: Room was very clean. Peacocks were very entertaining.
Cons: I don't want to be rude so I am not saying anything.
Pros: Beautiful old villa in lovely spot on the canal. Easy private parking. Short walk to the village and a carrefore. Lovely room with balcony and views over the canal. Great for watching the boats go thru the lock. Everything clean and comfy. Good bed and nice shower. The owner is very friendly and helpful and serves a delicious breakfast. Her cats are cautious so unobtrusive and do not go in the bedrooms. The peacocks are hilarious! There are some restaurants nearby - the creperie was excellent - but we also ate on the balcony of our room and watched the sunset. There is a little kitchen so we were able to store our picnic in the fridge. This accommodation is beautifully rustic, quirky and very French. People who have criticised it lack imagination and heart.
Cons: This is not a criticism just info for the traveller - ensuite bathrooms may be a little lacking in privacy (!) but there are extra loos along the corridor near your room if you require more privacy!
Pros: The host was kind. She allowed us in early. View. Of the Rohan lock front the room was wonderful. It WAS quiet and tranq, uille.
Pros: Our second visit to this lovely place.
Cons: It is all good just as it is.
Pros: The house was very individual and interesting, every effort had been made to give you comfort with plenty of quirky items to take your attention. Fascinating to see the peacocks. Surrounding flowers and trees were lovely. The view from the window and the little balcony was such a bonus, would love to stay in the summer when the boats are going up and down.
Cons: I would have liked some choice over the dinner menu and maybe because it is France but the meal took a long time, we probably noticed because of the long drive we had done.
Pros: Breakfast was very good wide variety and choice to suit all tastes
Cons: nothing to dislike.
Pros: The Villa is a beautiful old house. It has great character and many paintings in the rooms. The view at breakfast of the Nantes Brest canal is great. Breakfast with our host was very good. The peacocks nesting in the garden added unusual interest. There is excellent bicycle storage in a warm dry basement. There is also use of a kitchen if required. Madame is obviously very proud of the Villa and takes particular care of everything. The little town of Rohan is very close and is very charming.
Cons: We were not sure why we were booked into a twin room as we are a married couple but it wasn't a real issue for one night.
Pros: Very good breakfast. Very interesting old house. Right on the Velodyssee
Cons: No door on twin room en-suite. Separated by a curtain. Woken up at 5.00 am by noise of peacocks.
