a very freindly welcome, comfortable no
Close to centre and the port and restaurants/bars etc. Private parking very useful. Our room at the back, overlooking the car park was very quiet, front rooms would probably suffer some traffic noise as there seemed to be constant traffic in Pornic. The only gripe was the very, very small shower cubicle, otherwise ok for the price.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was only a five minute walk from the bustle of Pornic and the many restaurants, also only a few minutes to walk to the most beautulful beach.
The staff were very helpful, the car park and location of the hotel were convenient for Pornic centre and it was very clean and neat.
Clean, modern and good value Probably noisy if your room was at the front.
Secure parking over night. Very freindly staff. Our room overlooked the main road out of Pornic, which was noisy. No air conditioning in the room so we opened the window for fresh air, but did not sleep too well because of the traffic noise. We did request, after checking in, would it be possible to move to a room at the back of the hotel, overlooking car-park. We were told that the Hotel was full.
Easy to find
This hotel was comfortable, although fairly basic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Private off road parking free of charge. Lift to upper floors definitely a bonus. Hotel located uphill and 5 minutes' brisk walk from the centre, which is fine if you are fit, but one of our party struggled with the walking. Therefore I would not recommend this particular hotel for elderly or disabled people.
DWe onlyuseditas an overnight stay during transit.Itwas ideal for that purpose
The Hotel was very clean and relaxing. We had dinner on one night and breakfast one morning and we had absolutely no complaints. We will be coming back. We have absolutely nothing bad to say and there was nothing we didn't likeabout Hotel du Beryl.
Very good family room, two joining rooms with loads of space & tastefully decorated, each with it's own bathroom. Comfortable beds, well equipped bathrooms & a great view. Brilliant access straight onto beach. Great bar setting with views up & down the beach.Happy, smiley, staff especially Claire. Good parking at the hotel. A really pleasant stay and would definatly like to go back some time.
Both the hotel and its bedrooms appeared extremely new and contemporary and would have been well suited to a four star hotel. This was the smartest three star that we stayed in out of four hotels during our week in France. The position directly overlooking the beach was great and we upgraded to a Sea view for an additional 10 euros, which actually gave us a suite with sitting area/sofa bed rather than a standard room. There is also a large free external carpark & internal carpark at the rear of the hotel. Breakfast was basic for 11 euros per person, so was a little of a let down. The flashing Casino signs outside were off putting though did not reflect the hotel interior.
The location is great and locals freindly. Tea/coffee making facilities in room would have been nice.
The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent A bit disappointed there was no music in the bar on Mon and Tues night. There was in 2006.
accessability to seafront convenience
Friendly staff and very clean rooms
The hotel was superb, food remakable, views over the sea. The bar area requires refurb and seperating from the noise of the casino. The village is quiet at this time of year but we used it as a base and had a great time.
The room and the sea view
It was a nice hotel, with a wonderful view of the sea, and good for walking. It was very comfortable, and clean, with good food, and for us free wi-fi and indoor parking. we enjoyed our stay very much and would visit again
We loved the peaceful atmosphere and the wonderful outlook. A most pleasant and relaxing experience with excellent food and service.
Sea view from rooms cycle hire couldn't get a coffee or drink at 13.00
Location, exc food, nice layout of hotel No facilities in rooms for drinks, occasional bad smell from seashore- to do with oyster cultivation?-staff not very forthcoming
Nice design, pleasant room, good breakfast. only 10-15' from Nantes airport.
Friendly efficient staff Website did not make clear cost of airport shuttle
Business trip - only one night for a rendez-vous A bit far from Nantes - 20 km and not only 10 km
Wonderful breakfast, the best ever in France.Warm welcome by the host. Above the average room, wifi, matress, utilities, bathroom. Not very charatcteristic, not easy to find
Rooms very tastefully decorated and clean. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast good but more expensive than similar hotel breakfasts we have had in the area. Ample secure car parking. We stayed at the hotel on a Thursday night and would have welcomed the chance of dinner at the hotel or at least without having to drive somewhere (hotel is outside the village of St.Pere), as it was the restaurant next door to the hotel seem to serve only lunches and no evening meals available at hotel so we had the choice of a creperie or pizza in St.Pere or a longer drive to Bouaye for a proper meal. Also note that spa facilities, gown hire etc is to pay for by the hour in addition to room price.
The staff were extremely helpful, the room spotless and it was in an excellent position on the island. Also ample free parking. Excellent value for money. The only negative was a very small double bed (which however seems pretty standard in France) and the sliding doors on the wardrobe that kept sliding off !!!
We were offered a free upgrade to a room with a bath and garden view.
Close to the town. On site parking. Exceptionally clean. Good value for money. Superior room lived up to its name. Very good breakfast.
clean, comfortable room and excellent accommodation for our toddler. Staff all very pleasant and welcoming.
Lovely room, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, bicycle storage provided. Everything was perfect.
The location was very good. It has a large off road car park at the rear of the Hotel. Essential, even given the generous parking offered in and around the busy town of Noirmoutier. Park the car and a five minute walk takes you to the town centre for the many good restaurants and bars available. The rooms were spotlessly clean and maintained and the staff excellent.
Good position near the town, lovely room, good breakfast and friendly english speaking staff No
Pleasant, relaxed, spotlessly clean simple hotel with good breakfast available. Very convenient for the town, which has a range of good eating places. Beaches and other villages a short drive or bike ride away.
The sorrounding, interior, atmoshere and amazing garden.
A friendly welcome in a delightful setting with the sea in the distance beyond the carefully tended gardens. Comfortable room, with a real balcony and sea views. Good food. The room was a bit noisy, both for sounds from other rooms, and from it's own bathroom/loo.
The room, the surroundings, especially the gardens, the food, the room service, the swimming pool, its proximity to the beach and to the walking trail into town. The walls between the bedrooms were a bit thin and it was possible to hear our neighbours showering, using bathroom etc.
Lovely setting, our room had a great sea view, and was very comfortable, nice shower. Evening meals excellent, (sea food banquet amazing) breakfast not too bad – more smoked salmon! Very expensive if used only as a hotel, visitors need to use all the facilities of the spa to get value of money. Need a sat-nav to find the place!
Pleasant staff, comfortable rooms Very expensive meals - but good quality.
Excellent friendly staff with good command of English. Excellent breakfasts. Lack of ventilation at night in garden bedroom unless the door was left open Leaving the door open could result to robbery or assult.
friendly staff, nice pool and garden, quiet location, good restaurant
Excellent welcome from all staff. Room was great. Restaurant was outstanding. Pool was brilliant.
What a wonderful hotel. One of the best we stayed in on our tour. The proprietor could not have been more helpful and we had a lovely room near the pool which was warm and clean. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and not overpriced for the quality.
indoor swimming pool
food dog in restaurant. If staff/you touch dog then table/food !
it was clean, economical nice location convenient en route stop.
The swimming pool was a bonus. We stayed here because of the reputation of the restaurant and we were not disappointed. Best oysters we have ever tasted at a very reasonable price. Owners very pleasant. Our room outside was in need of a complete make over. Odd bedside lamps, faded pictures on the wall, curtain hook off the wall, rusty towel rail. We felt 74 euros was over priced for a double room of this standard.
The proprietors were totally charming and very helpful. We were given an upgrade on our room as we were staying four nights. Breakfasts were in a beautiful conservatory and were delicious. The rooms opened out onto a courtyard which trapped the sun, and the design of the gardens and the surroundings was artistic. Swallows and sand martins, and the church bells were the only music to be heard. A beautifully quiet and restful hotel, with a splendid restaurant next door, run by another branch of the family. Due to the weakness of the pound when we went, it turned out to be a lot more expensive than we had planned, as meals were £20 a head minimum and breakfasts at £8 seemed a bit steep.
The manager made us feel welcome from the moment we arrive, helped considerably by his great grasp of English (yes, I am one of those Brits who does not have a great grasp of French!). We ate in the restaurant a couple of nights but fended for ourselves for breakfast. This was not difficult as our room had a fridge for fresh juice and pastries which can be bought locally. The restaurant was very pleasant and the lady that ran it was again, very helpfull (ie. Had good level of spoken english!!). Our kids loved the pool and the resident cat and dog. All in all, we were very happy with our choice.
This place is a little gem of a find for a family holiday. Well located for beaches and exploring the area, but not prime location,so very reasonably priced. Welcoming hosts, where nothing is too much trouble. Easy access chalet style accomodation with a superb, well priced restaurant on site.
