Ideal for a 2 adults + 2 children sky weekend. Breakfast was correct in quantity and quality... and free for children under 10! The noise from the air conditioning system that was in a room just in front of ours (end of the corridor, first floor... Low price rooms?)
very comfort room (Duplex), beautiful view, convenient fo family. fukk kitchen
A cosy bar
Staff very very helpful and kind
Proximity to piste, ski school
The apartment was excellent. Spacious, clean and warm. Perfect location for skiing. And the spa is a bonus at the end of the day. We decided to pay 10 euros for a breakfast. It was very basic, the bread and rolls were not fresh and there was no hot food available. We will take advantage of the excellent apartment facilities during future visits.
The accommodation was excellent; warm, modern & clean - I like the fact that you pay per room rather than per person. The pool area & pool itself was not warm enough to use comfortably. The car park charge was a little expensive. There was no gym or decent restaurant on site. The approach road was v. icy & not properly gritted after snow
Location close to the skii lifht, nice area and exelent for familys with jung kids, good skii shops around. The clean service is simple doesn't exist, just clean the floor but never under the bed, (plenty of dust)in 7 days do ot change the beds "cloth" and do not clean garbage collector.
Close to slopes, clean, efficient check-in and room cleaned every day. Apartment was advertised as sleeps 2-4 people but not much further which gave you the impression of having 2 bedrooms, not a lounge room and a bedroom. So probably was better value accom on the mountain with breakfast included. Had to pay for access to the pool/spa even if you were a guest. Also if you have a kitchen in the apartment the very least that you would expect supplied would be a sponge and some washing up liquid....
Close to the ski lifts and the price of the hotel. Heated swimming pool; Lack of a bar and sitting area in the sun. Cleaning service included just making up the beds
Friendly Hotel No coffee facilities during the day
The hotel was on the outskirts of a village and in a good location to drive to La Molina and Puigcerda The service in the restaurant was not particulary friendly and we left early on the Monday morning (7.30am) but they refused to leave out any breakfast - not even hot water for a cup of tea!!!
Very friendly staff as well as a fantastic view of pool and mountains from our balcony. The room also had a fridge and the breakfast included was fantastic! The place is very very hard to get to without a car, and the cabs are very very expensive. The water pressure in the shower wasnt very good.
The sight of the landscape from our balcony There was no or incorrect information over hotelservices (opening hours restaurant, operating TV, wake up calls etc) in an other language than Catalan or Spanish
Staff were kind and helpful, breakfast was good, the view was excellent from the room, swimming pool was a bonus. Enjoyed the stay very much.
As mentioned above the hotel was listed several different times on your site and although the hotel was much as we expected - there were no nasty surprises, we didn't know from your website whether to expect a 2 star or a 3 star place as you had it listed as both
Breakfast was good and the staff were pleasant, good standard fo hygiene Not the hotel but the area, very limited with regards to eating out, places to go etc
Great place to relax, Swimming pool, Value for the money; everything was great! Truly recommended.
great room-great restaurant
Hotel Staff, Restaurant, Location, Room.
People on half board given priority at meal times which meant others treat like second class citizens and had to accept what was left. Also advert is a little misleading as it suggests that the use of the spa is included in the price whereas they actually charge each person 20€ per visit.
The hotel is well situated close to the lifts. Breakfast buffet was really good (we didn't have full board). The "spa" and pool was not so impressed and it was not included in the hotel visit. It was expensive. Not much more to do in the hotel in the evenings. Too expensive to upgrade to full board.
We loved the scenery and helpful staff at the hotel. We ended up staying for 2 nights. room was hot on the first night (no AC) but staff was very willing to open sky light for 2nd night
Excellent rates and friendly staff. Especially off season. During the peak season (winter) the character of the hotel changes into a bustling family hotel.
The location is superb. You can park outside hotel door & its only a 2 min walk to lifts/ piste. Rooms are very modern & clean.Small games room where you can play nintendo Wii (costs 5 euros per half hour to hire). Buffet breakfast is excellent - hot & cold food provided. Staff very friendly & helpful. No sky TV or wi-fi in rooms. Kitchen facilitiies very basic. No tea/coffee provided or even cups. A small washing up kit would be useful. No sofa in main room, although there was a table & chairs for 4 people. It costs 20 euros per person to use the pool/ spa area which we feel is too much, so put us off. Pool table in games room would be good.
Was convenient for the skiing area and quiet. Having to pay extra for everything - parking, the safe, the pool etc.
Clean modern spacious ,very professional staff. Good food lovely lounge and bar Big problem was no facility to pick up guests from station 5km away and only one [very unreliable !!]taxi in village. We were not the first to complain about this serious fault .we would have been happy to pay for the service. We had to get taxi sent from puicerda 20kms away at cost of 25 euros .
Excellent location 50 metres from a chair lift - ski and boot hire next door.. Good size well fitted rooms with modern "designer" bathrooms. Restaurant disappointing - dinner below standard for a 4* hotel and liile other options within walking distance
the location of the hotel near the pista the ski That the Spa for only one hour whas costing 20 € this is normely for free
Great Location. friendly helpful staff. We stayed previously with the children and the duplex apartments give great space at a good price for families
Parking charge seems high but parking spaces would be difficult to find close to the hotel.
Excellent location, beautiful surroundings, nice facility. The breakfast buffet was superb with very good pastries, freshly prepared eggs and a reasonable variety of items.
Good Location and facilities, friendly staff. Will certainly consider staying there again. The restaurant is to my opinion a bit pricey for the region
Spacious well-equipped room, location close to the town centre
Everything. Great hotel, very helpful staff, excellent facilities and superb food and wines. Nice relaxing break. Close to town centre. Will definitly return. Nothing.
Beautiful room and bathroom, firm bed with good quality bedlinen. The location was good, quiet yet right by the lake and park and close to the town with its bars and restaurants. Indoor pool and leisure facilities were great (especially when it rained) and the staff were friendly and helpful - altogether a very pleasant stay.
The lake is beautiful and the staff is young, friendly and happy
staff, especially Peter were very friendly and helpful. Just wish we had more time there.
Restaurant quality very good. Bathroom looked good but lacked functionality...........to have a shower wet the entire bathroom. Very clean and comfortable room. No signs in town directing to hotel and hence very difficult to find.
Lovely brand new hotel - think we were the first guests so work still going on . Friendly staff and beautiful building and furnishings. A little too quiet but more guests arrived during our stay.
The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The facilities in the rooms were good. The gardens were nice. It is situated next to a busy roundabout near the border with France and therefore, noisy with many passing lorries during the day. The pool was being renovated. It would have been good to know about that before arriving.
the location, service and food at teh restaurant
First class hotel in every respect. This is my third visit and will certainly go again in the future
Great hotel, very comfortable, clean and charming – inside medieval little town. Lovely breakfast.
The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, the room comfortable and as good as you can get for the price and the service from the manager was faultless. Although the hotel restaurant was not open on the night of our arrival, in common with 90% of the restaurants in town, the restaurant next door was very good.
The staff were fabulous. They were gracious, friendly, helpful in any way possible. The room was very spacious, airy. lots of light. The breakfasts were superb. The dining was excellent. The location was central to restaurants, banking, historic sites, etc. Parking close to the hotel was a breeze once you figured out the system on a typically narrow village road. Loved our stay. The only suggestion I can make is to get some directional signs up on the main road leading into town from Puigcerda'. This is a terrific hotel and prospective guests need to know better how to find you.
Decent accomodation, breakfast was sufficient. More a 2-star than 3-star hotel. Poor view from the balcony. The family room on the image (showing a mezzanine with supposedly the other two beds) did not correspond to what we got, i.e. just a double room equipped with two extra beds.
It was quaint and well appointed. Good size room and bathroom. Staff were very pleasant.
The staff at this hotel cannot do enough for you. The atmosphere is very friendly and the style of the hotel is rustic and relaxed. The food in the evening was excellent. At the end of our stay, I forgot my keys and they immediately posted them on to me. What a hotel should be like.
Good family hotel with very friendly and serviceminded staff. Nice and cosy morning and dinner restaurant with good mountain buffet.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Very aware of changes on the ski slopes. other guest were noisey. Easy to hear noise in the rooms.
The hotel is very good. Great team, great food, really beyond our expectations. We stayed there for 4 nights, to ski in La Molina. The rooms are confortable, according to a 3 star hotel, but the service was perfect (like a five star). They took care of every small detail, even when it was not their responsibility.
Very helpful and resourceful staff made the stay very comfortable. The free private parking at the slopes is very convenient.
We stayed in the hotel for four days, after lovely breakfast we went skiing, then playing table tennis, exercising in the gym, relaxing in the sauna and ten enjoying delicious dinner... no!!!
The surroundings and location were great
The location and the quality of the service Difficult to find the hotel and the bad state of some facilities
The mountain location, facilities and cleanliness Receptionist was efficient but not friendly.
Quiet surrondings There's no lunch service or a the option to buy quick food & beverages
comfort, quiet, nice staff room temperature : extremely hot
The easy location to the pistas of la molina. The quality of the meals (dinner & Breakfast) included in the media pension. Perfect for a family stay.
We stayed at the Hotel last year and think that it is a wonderful improvement. We are very impressed and had a fantastic break.
It was a very pleasant hotel and I will hapilly stay there again. Staff were extremely helpful and efficient: went out of their way to help & I could not have asked for more. It is a simple hotel but facilities worked, it was clean and friendly. Nothing - it was very pleasant.
Friendly staff throughout hotel.
Great location with good facilites. It has a games room, a couple of bars, a tv room, shower facilities if you have checked out but are leaving later in the day. The location was also great and the take away pizzas from the bar were the best! To be fair, the hotel is old and it needs renovated. I would say it is over priced considering the need for a refit.
The central locaton to the slopes, the friendliness of the staff and the facilities for the children.
Nice. close to ski slopes.
Great for families with kids. Lots of entertainment available. Convenient as well, as they can provide everything (ski passes, gear, lessons, etc). Close to main telecabin (5 mins walk) Service could be faster. One day the maid forgot to leave bath towels in the room and it took the staff over one hour to replace them. It would also be good if the dining room could have reserved tables for larger groups.
Staff service. I left an item of clothing behind and I have been contacted by email and a promise made to post this item to my home address.
A very calm and comfortable experience. Easy access to some beautiful countryside. Excellent multi-lingual staff were very attentive and helpful.
The friendliness and competence of the staff were remarkable and well over the standards. Besides, the location of the hotel es excellent for visiting this area of the Pirineos range of mountains and for practising all kinds of mountain sports.
We loved LLivia. We loved the staff. We thought the property was first rate and beautiful. The foodservice was excellent too.
Have stayed here before and were very happy to return. Everything was very, very good. Fantastic selection for breakfast. Will definitly return.
O.K nothing spectacular ,friendly staff but relatively expensive for the quality Very average hotel and no reason to select it above any others in the area
When you arrive, the door is locked and no one is around, so you have to really guess hard to find the key somewhere at the table in an envelope.
god atmosphere, kind staff, nice rooms, WIFI access, mountain view, perfect base for biking on roads
Staff were personally engaged in our stay and showed concern. The continental breakfast was quite generous.
I like the breakfast, and the hotel location. Also liked the personal attention. I would like to have a matrimonial bed instead two beds.
Warm welcome - excellent, no fuss service. Great breakfast, excellent coffee! The hotel rooms were very warm -
It is a pretty village, easy to find, and not too far from ski slopes. The hotel appears to have been recently refurbished. Staff are friendly and a good continental breakfast is provided.
very friendly hosts and elegant interiors. Excellent breakfast. We loved the hotel, but be warned, outside the season Alp does not have any decent restaurant to eat in, so trip to Puigcerda is almost a necessity.
Helpfulness of owner. Spoke and understood english. Able to advise on area. Hotel is exceptionally clean and well decorated. On arrival the room we had booked which was the Junior Suite which said there was a seperate bedroom from the main bedroom/lounge. What is failed to explain was that this bedroom is only suitable for children as beds are only 2 foot 6 inches wide. Therefore we had to be offered alernative rooms which was lucky to be avaThere was no hot water on both mornings we stayed at the hotel. This was put down to the solar system. Once the boiler had been put on there was plenty of hot water. This is the only downside of the hotel. Outside of the hotel there was a lot of road works and many of the surroundings roads. Therefore after rainfall the roads are very muddy..
The room hwas nicely decorated and had a large window that opened over the town to view the mountain. Incredible view. Good breakfast and great value. We would have tried to stay another night but already had reservations in Girona. Would like to go back sometime.
Beautiful Bedrooms, very clean and Secure Car Parking
warm and helpful welcome, within striking distance of ski resorts
small hotel, run by owners. Rooms exellent. Owners allways on site if required.Local knowledge good.No on site parking, but free parking nearby. Small village .
free internet. good breakfast the staff was partially helpful. the man was most unhelpful, rather rude, he knew i was frustrated, but did not offer to help. the hotel was far from the town. you either walked for 15min uphill or took an elevator as town was up on a hill. so not true advertising. not impressed
the quality of food served in hotel was excellent also the rooms were nice some staff were unhelpfull
The facilities were very good, and the location was excellent.
Location, friendly staff Smoking in rooms
Very quite, relaxing, nice rooms. N/A
Lovely setting, good views, friendly, comfortable. Spa and pool nice. No restaurant
We enjoyed the swimming pool which was located in an upgraded glass house with beautiful views of the Pyrenees mountains. Very little interaction with staff and difficult to find someone to serve a beer at night, but maybe because the hotel was not so busy.
Not much! Rooms too noisy and too small, poorly equipped. I paid for the Confort room, which in theory has an extra living room. This was more like a cupboard, and totally unsuitable for work.
Family atmosphere, good service, proximity to centre of town + boating lake
Swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna were all excellent. Breakfast was good.Staff were very attentive. Hotel has no restaurant but its location puts you within easy walking distance of the town centre so no problem. Rooms were comfortable but very dark wood used on the floor and seemed a little oppressive Thank God for SatNav. This part of Puigcerda is a maze of one way streets. Make sure you have a downloaded map at the very least. Worth the effort though.
The location,,the open area. the short distances to many places The acoustic is very bad.Too much noise from adjacent rooms. The lack of elevator
Lovely location, and comfortable firm matresses. Very nice breakfast, though if you are looking for a full english, then look elsewhere. Nice spacious living room area with a fire, so good chill out possibilities. the room was a bit small though and we were mysteriously put in the smokers area of the hotel, and I hate smoke, but it was only evident when we opened the door to the corridor, so it didnt affect me too much.
The english spoken by the receptionist was very good; she was very welcoming, and the information given to assist with onward travel was very useful. In addition, the hotel had its own restaurant for dinner with a reasonably priced Table D'hote menu. The price was very reasonable, and the room facilities all worked well. Could have used a more powerful bedside reading lamp.
Friendly staff, good restaurants close by, good wifi, easy free parking, breakfast good. This isn't a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination, but if you are in the area and need somewhere practical, this is ideal. A long way from the city centre, but then again it's right by the train station. You get what you settle for.
The free Wifi, the restaraunt was nice, and breakfast was good The heat was not turned on when we arrived and the room was quite cold
Very convenient to the train station but at the foot of a hill to the city center. There is a funicular/elevator you can ride to the city center. Hotel staff has limited English, but this was not a problem with my limited Spanish/Catalan. We used this hotel as a hub and stayed here twice. The second time the staff was more friendly than the first. Beautiful views of the Pyrenees Mts.
breakfast and price The room have a very strong smell of smoke. The facility is very old and has to be renovated.
The staff was very helpful. We appreciated the free internet. Very gracious service at breakfast. Nice small balcony in the room.
Good price. Offered all I actually needed in the right location for an overnight stay in the area. Most of the staff very friendly and helpful, and the one that appeared less so was probably only because of a lack of a common language. Not in the nicest part of town. Room could have been cleaner. Environment not that welcoming mainly due to the public bar on the ground floor.
Good facilities, everything clean and working, comfortable beds, decent breakfast included, hotel staff very accommodating.
