Pros: A gem with spacious modernly appointed rooms with 1 queen & 1 full bed each. New, clean, comfortable. Rustic exterior with surprisingly fine accommodations. Superb chef prepared dinner with excellent wine choices. Complete, fresh farmhouse breakfast. Cozy lodge and bar to relax.
Cons: Slightly hidden left turn into courtyard could be better marked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location wonderful, very peaceful with nature. We had a homecooked evening meal which was delicious. Room was immaculate, spacious and in a modern style
Cons: Breakfast not included in the rate which made it expensive
9.3 Excellent
Pros: An absolute little gem. Located just outside the local village its primarily a fishing lodge - has 5 or so lakes for fly fishing. The accommodation in a recently refurbished building is excellent and to the highest standard. Its quiet and very comfortable. Dinner is available ( no menu), you eat what you are given, but was excellent. A simple breakfast rounded off a perfect stopover on the way home. Highly recommended.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: hotel in the country side.on edge of fishing lakes
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful park and extremely large and well-equipped room. The dinner was first-class and drinks by the fireside were lovely. Host most welcoming. Walking around the trout-ponds and through the park was very relaxing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A fairly new establishment where the accommodation has been renovated to a very high standard. Our room was huge and very well appointed. The food was delicious but not cheap and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The main facilities were in a separate block down a hardcore driveway and we were given no information on arrival about breakfast etc. There is no evening meal available on Sunday and there are no staff on site overnight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location, large and clean rooms, very quiet. The hosts are very obliging and the dinners are great !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is absolutely fabulous. gorgeous park-like location with room to wander. The hosts are all wonderfully friendly, the lodge/restaurant is cozy and accommodating with a well stocked bar, the room was clean, enormous and modern but not cold. We arrived late in the evening and that evening the sole proprietor happily prepared us a fabulous dinner of gazpacho with scallops and chorizo, and ravioli with truffles! It was so good we abandoned our plans to eat in Verdun the next night and were again treated to a terrific meal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds let you feel as though you are hundreds of miles away from the rest of the world. The rooms are all new and modern, the beds extremely comfortable and the meals all fabulous locale French fare at reasonable prices.
Cons: For some the location in a small town may be a surprise at first but once you settle into the lodge all else fades away
5.0 Okay
Pros: The dinner and wine selection was perfect. The staff was quite attentive to our needs and provided good conversation.

Pros: Excellent hospitality. Wonderful breakfast. Nice to be a video star:)
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We felt like royals. 2 persons always at our service, long fantastic dinners with classical music and great wines in dining room of the castle. Very quiet night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We chose this property as it was close to the Voie Sacré & what a find! We booked it at lunch time on a Sunday, on arriving at the chateau in the early evening we realised it would be impossible to find somewhere to eat. But Frédéric & Marie put our minds at ease & we sat down to a 4 course delicious meal with a wonderful selection of wines. What a repast! Made al the better for being unexpected as we were such late arrivals! As for breakfast?! We didn’t need a lunch it was so generous. The chateau is quirky with lots of historical touches & a wonderful chatty host & a chef who loves her job.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The room was amazing and the home cooked evening meal and breakfast were fantastic
Cons: Nothing everything was excellent
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Chateau was an unexpected delight: in an idyllic setting, idiosyncratically furnished, with a single, extremely comfortable bedroom, copious and delightful light meals featuring regional specialties prepared by the proprietor, who, with his wife, were charming, helpful and very welcoming. Somewhat off the beaten track, but very well worth a detour. I will certainly re-visit!
Cons: Only the weather!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The level of service provided by Marie and Frederic was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Dinner and breakfast were delicious examples of home-cooking. The Chateau was fascinating with a Napoleonic presence!
Cons: Everything was fine so no criticisms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional hosts, kind and considerate - a super experience.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at the chateau and interaction with the hosts was one of the best experiences in our 5 trips to Europe over the last 15 years. The chateau was museum like in its presentation of it's history, and the local area's history. The room was very spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was spotless and luxurious. The meals prepared by our host Marie and served by Frederic were a real example of French cuisine, not to mention the wine..... Marie and Frederic were exceptional hosts and really made the end of our trip one to remember.
Cons: Leaving.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The chateau or what you see of it is lovely and the owners very friendly and helpful. It's quiet and peaceful and comfortable and very good for a relaxing overnight stay
Cons: The booking.com site is misleading as this is not a hotel but a room at the owners home where they cook and serve a meal so there is no choice of food and payment is in cash. You are also not told the cost of any of it but just given a bill in the morning .Whilst it was lovely anyone booking needs to be aware of exactly what it is.We were left with no money as we do not carry much and usually pay for everything on cash so had to spend time the next day finding a cash machine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly hosts, grand interiors, quiet location. A very cozy place to stay.
Cons: WiFi was not working, but it was not a big problem

Pros: Very friendly and willing hosts, very good breakfast. Quiet place, but not so far from motorway. The accomodation is in little cosy cottage - two floors with kitchen, living room and small bedroom.

Cons: Breakfast was good (the baguette and French cheeses were very tasty), but we expected a bit more variety (ham or salami, cereals, eggs, fruit salad, ...).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room if a little at altitude, with a shared lounge and toilet/shower. The owner let me park my motorcycle in the garage which was appreciated. Breakfast was excellent. As a bonus, the owner was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the 1st WW sites to visit. I look forward to a return visit.
Cons: Perhaps 15 minutes walk into town. My room was on the 3rd floor and required three trips to get my luggage up the stairs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very pleasant period type hotel with old world charm. The owner was very good to deal with and very helpful seeing that I am disabled. I have to say the bed was extremely comfortable and I managed two good nights sleep.
Cons: Parking is extremely limited but in a historic city like Verdun that's quite understandable. When I first booked and said I am a wheelchair user, the hotel immediately contacted me to say they had no disabled facilities, however I chose to put up with the little inconvenience and managed well with the assistance of my sons.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful and cozy place with good facilities. The hosts (Alan and his wife and their son) were very helpful and friendly. They made a booking for us at a restaurant and recommended the best sights to visit. Breakfast was good too. House is walking distance to some tourist attractions and restaurants. A lovely stay overall!

Pros: Excellent place to stay and very friendly people. It was very helpful for me that the owner could speak English too. I will definitely stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best stay of my week long trip! The family was kind enough to pick me up from the train station, drop me off at the sites at Verdun Battlefield I wanted to see while giving a unique tour of the town. When it was time to leave the owner helped me locate my bus stop and was even kind enough to keep me company as I waited. I have nothing but great things to stay about La Dragee Hote and the family that operates it. Thank you for a great stay!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host, comfortable beds.
Cons: Nothing, we had a very nice time.

Pros: Rooms big, cozy, clean and with great views. Hotel is the best in the area and has very helpful staff. Rooms offer choices for bed; ours had a king bed with plenty of space.
Cons: There was a daily fee for parking. I didn’t mind too much for a short stay but for extended stays, I would hope they waive the fee or extend a discount.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent, staff helpful, all accommodations except those listed below

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly. We enjoyed the fine dining dinner experience. The wine was excellent. Breakfast was elegant and included a broad range of choices from cakes and croissants to fruit, cheese, meat, and beverages. We enjoyed strolling the grounds and sitting by the river.
Cons: The room choices could be more clear on the website. We thought we were reserving a room on the second floor and got a room on the third floor. It worked out okay and next we'll know what to ask for.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and fab food.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The setting is fabulous, a true French Château. Fantastic grounds well looked after. The inside is typical French shabby chic.
Cons: Felt like staying in a mausoleum, no atmosphere at all. The receptionist in the afternoon was lovely but the other staff were dismissive of the paying guests. Make sure you ask for a room with a shower as this isn’t standard in all rooms. Bathroom tiny and cramped to get into and out of the bath. Food and drinks very expensive.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent and it is in a wonderful countryside location, but also close to Verdun and the road network. The decor could do with a bit of updating and, whilst this might seem part of the Chateau's charm, a bit more investment in the bedrooms in particular could make this a seriously wonderful hotel.
Cons: Carpets in the bedrooms and only a few rooms with showers.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was good for us as we wanted to stay near Verdun and we had travelled from Colmar en route to the Channel. The hotel room was very good, quite large and although there was no air conditioning (it was during the recent French heatwave) there was a very efficient and quiet fan. Really comfy bed and lovely shower room. The grounds are beautiful to walk in. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the excellent restaurant which is quite special and as a result not cheap but we had expected that. However we thought the room was very good value for money.
Cons: The breakfast room was a little fusty and breakfast was quite expensive although quite a varied choice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Grand appearance and the history
Cons: No air conditioning
8.8 Excellent

Pros: The house has a Very specific atmosphere, the stay was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helene is an awesome host, attending to our every need and provided great recommendations. The house is beautiful as are the grounds. The room was spacious and comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All lovely a great hostess fantastic house.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We were welcomed warmly by Helene - freshly pressed apple juice on the balcony was so welcome after a long and tiring drive. She is the perfect hostess, and went to a lot of trouble to help us, booking a table for us at a nearby restaurant near the lake (expensive but fine dining). She speaks perfect English. The house itself is fascinating with Art Nouveau furnishings and many original features. At the back it overlooks a large garden full of mature trees, somewhat neglected but a haven for wildlife. Our room very spacious and the bathroom had a lovely deep bath. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept really soundly all night.
Cons: The front of the house gives a very bad impression - it looks almost derelict with weeds growing up everywhere. Perhaps a couple of tubs of bright geraniums at the front door would make the place look more welcoming. The breakfast made few concessions to healthy eating! Croissants and cheese are not to everyone’s liking. I would have appreciated more choice, such as more fruit and ham as well as cheese or even cereal.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Helena made us feel at home. We had the downstairs to ourselves, kitchen, drawing room and an outside balcony.
Cons: B&B was locked up tight when we arrived. My phone calls were not answered. I finally hollered hello from the street and Helena appeared at an upstairs window and then met us at the gate.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice building, very cosy and big room with pantastic furniture. The owner was very friendly and willing to help us at every time.
Cons: The city is not that interesting, but for a stay with a car or motorcycle it's perfect
9.5 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful house with so much character.. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was spotless with a very comfortable bed, and beautiful view over the garden and the river Meuse. It was also great to be able to use all downstairs, (although we had not realised the kitchen facilities were shared and the other users had left them rather dirty.) The owner greeted us with coffee on arrival and even laid a fire for us to eat our dinner beside . A really lovely stopping place when travelling from Italy to Calais. We will definitely stay there again.
Cons: Other kitchen users leaving the facilities dirty. So thoughtless.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This eclectic home is a reflection of the interior architect owner whose hospitality is wonderful. Great breakfast. We were welcomed to use the kitchen and beverages anytime. The walks to town both though the roads and along the river were picturesque. Happening upon the festival celebrating Patton’s army liberating St. Mihiel in both WWI and WWII and the town’s huge celebration with multiple parades, reenactments, encampments, movies, concerts off all kinds, and food was a surprise bonus we had not anticipated. Our hostess, Helene, provided us with the information to participate and enjoy every minute.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It's a small B&B with a very friendly owner who speaks fluent English. The house is not new, but it did not matter as it created certain magical touch to the stay. There was a balcony and living area to spend evening time and eat breakfast. It is not some fancy business hotel, but the room was clean, bathroom was clean and functional. It was a really nice stay!
Cons: Wifi didn't reach the bedroom perfectly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitality and service
Cons: A little bit cold in the rooms

Pros: It was difficult to access this place, as the door was into a garage and the apartment was up some stairs from the garage. The hosts were SO nice. They only spoke French, but the husband used a phone translator app and we did fine. The room is very eclectic. The bed was comfortable and breakfast brought to the room was very nice. Olivier recommended a local restaurant for dinner, which was great and gave us a complementary apertif.

Pros: The staff was friendly, the room and bathroom were spacious enough and very clean. We were recommended a good restaurant.
Cons: The wi-fi didn’t work and the room had a window leading only to the corridor, not outside, so the air was quite heavy.
9.5 Excellent

Pros: Friendly owner and pleasant reception from him. Rooms clean and well decorated. Car parking easy nearby.
Cons: There was a fridge and microwave but a kettle and some crockery and cutlery would have been appreciated.

Pros: Breakfast was delicious and plentiful!
Cons: It was an unusual setup for a b&b. If it had been warmer, not sure how the a/c would reach the bedroom unless you slept with the door open. ????

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely position on high ground with long-distance views of beautiful surrounding countryside. Good dinner in the restaurant. Good breakfast.
Cons: The Wi-Fi was terrible. It did not work at all in the bedroom. It hardly worked in the main sitting area downstairs and I found that the only place where it was reliable was right next to the reception desk where the owner had told me the router is sited. The bedroom is very basic and did not even have a bedside table. The shower/bathroom was small but adequate.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Superb elevated location in a very interesting historic little village. Room immaculate and balcony with a wonderful panoramic view across a vast amount of unspoiled countryside. Very pleasant and helpful owner who speaks good English. Excellent evening meal from a varied menu and great breakfast.
Cons: (Only the fact that it was exceptionally hot - most of the time the rooms would be very comfortable but as it was 36c in the day, quite warm for the first half of the night. But no fault of the hotel obviously!)

Pros: breakfast very overpriced

Cons: Low ceilings. I banged my head several times.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our host informed us of the annual outdoor show "Des flammes à la lumière" about World War I and the battle of Verdun. We got tickets and enjoyed the experience tremendously! We would never have seen this show if it were not for our host pointing this out to us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for traveling Verdun and the battlefield areas. The place was clean and cozy. Nothing fancy but a great place to rest your head at the end of the day.

Pros: Everything. lovely town and location. Dog friendly (apart from the ginger cat)

Pros: Ghislaine is so kind and helpful, she made us feel at home! Her house is very central. The room was cozy and comfortable. Delicious breakfast!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My boyfriend and me were searching for a room in verdun and booked this one. We didn't expected it to be that perfect. It's comfy, hygienic and central. We always found a parking lot and we're able to visit most things by foot. For anyone who wants to have a cheap but absolutely nice stay can be certain that booking this room is a great opinion. (and not to forget... The landlady is absolutely lovely! ❤️ I would definitely come back here! )
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We came as a family of five (two adults and three children ages 8-13). It has a charming character and quaint homey feel reminiscent of visiting distant relatives. Private bath for one bedroom and shared bathroom for the other two rooms were more than adequate and very clean. Knowledge of French would be helpful; however, we got along fine knowing only basic greetings and vocabulary. The hosts also provided a delicious and enjoyable French breakfast for a nominal extra charge which was a good value.
Cons: Nothing negative comes to mind.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A well situated b and b in verdun. This is not a high end luxury stay but just what we wanted. Very good price, were very helpful allowing us to park a trailer in their garage (at minimal cost). Standard french breakfast - croissant, bread, home made jams, yoghurt, tea and coffee etc. Rooms accessed by stairway. Owner sends a message reiterating there is no A/C and stairs to negotiate. For an overnight or short stay where you just need a clean bed and bathroom this is the place.
Cons: Nothing not to like. You get what you pay for with a helpful smile from the owner.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was lovely, French breakfast, fresh and homemade jams. The breakfast room was so beautiful and filled with homely charm, and had a plant filled balcony overlooking the garden.
Cons: I would have loved a mirror in the bedroom so that you didn't have to occupy the bathroom to put your makeup on. That's the only request I have.

Pros: The first day we enjoyed a delightful breakfast in the 16th century dining room. On the second morning, the weather was lovely and tables were set on the patio in the courtyard. Both wonderful experiences! Elizabeth was a wonderful hostess. She gave my sister and I lots of information on where to go and what to see locally and in nearby Verdun. Our room was wonderful under the eaves with the most picturesque view of the old church behind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming host, lovely, well designed room, smart bathroom. The location, in a very small village, is beautiful. Breakfast was very good, croissants, fresh bread, home made jams, yoghurt etc. Secure location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Elizabeth made our two days stay like feeling home. Thanks for the wonderful breakfast and lovely dinner. Everything was clean. The village is very quiet. Definitely worth a visit!
6.3 Good
Pros: We loved Rustic farmhouse dining room and entrance. Bed was ok but we slept in more comfort before. Nice homemade continental breakfast. The lady of the house was friendly and so was her husband who was able to communicate with us in english while we had our breakfast.
Cons: There was no dinner at the property nor any local village shop or even bakery to get ourself some dinner, lady of the house spoke little english and we spoke very little french if any at all. So we were not to sure what she was saying or if she understood what we were asking. We searched properties that were listed as a Hotel in filter settings but this property was a definite B&B in the middle of a village of a few houses.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Host very friendly. Accomodation of a very high standard. The breakfast was excellent as was the optional dinner, which was well worth the 25 euros per head.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming host. The property is surrounded by beautiful calm fields. The room is pretty spacious. If you are searching for peace of mind this place is exactly for you.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice room
Cons: Poor communication with owners because of language barrier
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very high quality biological food fresh prepared. Most tasty food I have ever had. This host deserves 5 stars deluxe.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostess, Elisabeth was lovely and provided a delicious breakfast and dinner for us. The farmhouse was rustic and very cozy. Our two dogs were welcomed as well. There were places to walk them. The location was perfect for touring Verdun and the World War II forts and battlegrounds.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners were welcoming and very friendly. We shared a drink with them and had long conversations in both French and English. We were able to have the use of the garden and tables under the parasols to have our evening picnic. In the high temperatures, this was far preferable to driving some distance to 'eat out'. Inside, the guest rooms were spacious and the decor was excellent. There was a choice of board games in the well stocked library. The Continental breakfast was varied and delicious.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property was spacious and comfortable, and nicely quirky of character. Roman was welcoming and delightful, kind and thoughtful in approach, and prepared for us a wonderful breakfast in a glorious and tranquil outdoor patio setting. Roman also gave us a great restaurant recommendation - just right for what we had asked for.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, comfortable room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The 2-bedroom apartment was plenty of space for our family of 5. The host was very kind and helpful. The location is wonderful—short walk to many restaurants and tourist sights. We would definitely stay there again.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is great, we found nearby, free parking, Roman was very nice and helpful, garden is beautiful.
Cons: Bathroom down the hall ( but not shared) shower and sink in room. Internet works only downstairs, not in the room. House has a lot of interest and charm, but it’s dingy. The central hall needed painting decades ago.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant and accomodating host. Nice facilities and amenities, and a great location. Good-size flat screen TVs in the rooms, even a nice outdoor garden area for earing or relaxing. A very historic property as well. Stay comes with a very nice, complete and fresh continental sit-down breakfast every morning.
Cons: It could not have been better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Roman was wonderful. He couldn’t do enough to help. When we asked if we could borrow 2plates and knives and forks, he set up a table for us with napkins, water and everything we needed. Breakfast was a feast with much more than we could eat. The position of Maison de 1853 is fantastic. We were able to walk to all of Verdun’s attractions but a car is needed to visit the battlefields and Rememberance Meuseum which is a must.
Cons: Nothing, everything was as stated.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The building and garden alone make it a perfect place for a weekend trip. Unfortunately didn't have enough time for breakfast in the garden, but would definitely come back here for a laid back break in Verdun.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome by the host, who nicely complied with all our requests and gave excellent advice about sightseeing and dining. Very large and picturesque room, large modern and very functional shower. Abundant fresh breakfast. Quiet relaxing environment, lush garden where we could take our dinner.
Cons: The loo at the bottom of the corridor is slightly inconvenient.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This place is unique. The building is an old mansion dating back 150+ years and has seen lots of different uses over time. It has high ceilings, huge rooms, a mosaic on the bottom floor, a huge garden, and a staircase fit for Scarlett O’Hara. The decor is artist meets antique dealer meets college dorm room. Our room was billed as the family room and it consisted of two huge rooms, 5 beds and an enormous bathroom. We showed up early, soaking wet from riding our bicycles in the rain, and the young man running the show apologized for not having the room ready (we were 4 hours early), unfolded an antique table, laid it with vintage china, poured us coffee to warm us up and then whisked upstairs to prepare our room(s). This is a place I will remember for the host’s passion for his (and his mom’s) home, for his welcome, and for the totally quirky room. It is also a short walk into downtown Verdun.

Pros: First class food, very good Chef and waiting staff.
Cons: Customer service was some of the worst i have experienced. Rude bordering on aggressive. The room was adequate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The evening meal was superb. We stay in lots of similar hotels in France and the food here was one of the best.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was among my expectations. Incredible location in the middle of the nature with and exceptional cuisine. The room like home decorated, super! So clean everywhere, so calm, so wonderful after a long business day!!! Do not miss it if you are on the area!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was lovely so far. not huge not small, something in between. Bathroom nice. the owners were Kind and helpfull. Dinner was delicious. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere (I guess, it was always pitchdark when i arrived), but perfect for me. yes, would stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great stay, great staff, great food. All wrapped into one very cozy country stay. Would highly recommend as a stay for couples driving around the French country-side. Would definitely stay again if I'm in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was equipped to a high standard and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We really appreciated the quietness of being out in the countryside. The restaurant provided a good choice of meals and the food was outstanding.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet location, very welcoming staff. The room looks to have been recently renovated and was very comfortable. Nice restaurant attached to the hotel.
Cons: The terrace was very nice, but because it is close to a farm there were a lot of flies, so it might be better to eat inside.

7.0 Good
Pros: Good shower. Good mattresses. A/C. Great bread, croissants, jam, and coffee. Eggs and bacon needed more cooking. Lots of parking.
Cons: No elevator. Many steps to our room on the third floor (4th floor in U.S.). When we asked for a lower room because steps are a problem for me, we were told that there were no more rooms. We made our reservation months in advance, but were given a room on the tolp floor with sloped, low ceilings that we hit our heads on all the time. Make sure you specify that you need a room on a lower floor. Heavy comforters need to be replaced with lighter comforters in the summer. It was just too warm, even with the air conditioning (which was appreciated). No room in the bathroom to put anything.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location good for town
Cons: The entry system codes etc
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Complete breakfast for inexpensive price. Front desk staff very helpful.
Cons: No staff at front desk in the afternoon, so we couldn't check in when we first arrived. Doors locked, only open morning and evening. Not a big problem since we had a rental car and could return later. Also, no elevator, but we knew that in advance.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good parking and very clean.
Cons: No lift.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds.
Cons: More extra pillows in family room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is better than usual in France and very reasonably priced. The rooms are simple but clean and functional. If arriving by car the location is good with plenty of free parking. There is a McDonald's close by and some supermarkets within easy reach. The nearby Buffalo Grill is a good dining choice. The drive to the battlefields of Verdun takes just ten minutes.
Cons: The absence of a lift might dissuade some older guests. A small fridge in each room would be an improvement the hotel might consider. The biggest problem was that access to the hotel via a room code out of staff hours (afternoon and late evening) relies on a credit card the machine will accept and it rejected all four Australian credit cards we had. This meant killing time for an hour before staff came on duty in the late afternoon. Had this been a late evening arrival it would have been a real problem. The hotel needs to solve this problem.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect for a budget stay when working in the area. Does what it says on the box basically.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Easy access to Verdun.
Cons: Stayed here for one night on our way down to the Alps. Room was not overly clean and the toilet had not been cleaned and still contained the hairs of previous guest who had obviously just shaved. Double bed had only one pillow. Difficult to check in as it was Sunday and they were shut until 5 so we were told to return later.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was satisfactory, but overpriced. Rooms are air conditioned.
Cons: No hair drier in the room. Available television channels were not as promised by the hotel.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The food at dinner was exceptional.
Cons: The bedroom was rather outdated and needed brightening up
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely, quiet location, absolutely perfect for exploring WW1 sites; our dogs were more than welcome; extremely good food and wine... Some comment that the prices are high - this is not a cheap place, but you have to consider whether you want simply a place to stay and something to stop you from feeling hungry, or something more... This is definitely something more!
Cons: Wifi was a bit dodgy...;)
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hosts were helpful, and the accommodation, although basic was clean and tidy.
Cons: Rooms and bathrooms are tired and need upgrading. Dinner was good, but very expensive (London/Paris prices). Not good value. Breakfast was ok, and again, not good value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality at its best
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In the most peaceful location, only a short drive from the main route. Also the staff always welcome us so we'll. The restaurant, though a little expensive is superb and the wine choice excellent
Cons: That my wife was in hospital and returned to AL'oree
7.5 Good
Cons: Dead flies in the room, expected as rural but they could clean. Sadly the owners showed they were not interested to have guests or people in the restaurant. Food however was very good!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Some of the best food in he world
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice and quiet place, nice surrounding and possibility of outside sitting area
Cons: Everything else. Very old equippment, the property and rooms are without any investment for probably a long time which is really pity because I beleive it was an amazing place 10 years ago. We went to the dinner, we had just a glass of wine and a main course (couple) and it costs more than 100€!!! Which we would happily invest if we will get delicious food. But the food was terrible, mini portions, the worst fish I ever had, we didn’t even finish the food and they didn’t asked us how the food was at all. Terrible experience. We don’t recommend visiting the hotel restaurant at all. Waste of money.
7.5 Good
Pros: We liked that it was quiet. View of the countryside is lovely.
Cons: Parking was on a hill. We struggled since we know limited French. Assume that this hotel doesn't see English speaking guests very frequently.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The owners were amazing and the food is awesome.
Cons: The dinner is quite expensive
