The chalet is great, the kitchen is really complete. The view is awsome and everything was really clean.
The position with beautiful views. Individual chalet rooms.
Fantastic location. Really comfortable. Good facilities in chalet. None
Location was first class. Restaurant was first class. As this was a chalet in October, we feel this was expensive, as we had stayed in 4 star hotels, for less money.
We paid when we arrived for 3 days, then when we checked out we were asked to pay again for tax. We were never told we were going to have to pay extra, all payment should have been made at one time, either before or after the stay.
Good location near to motorway links, and supermarkets. Good car parking and staff efficiency. The room was adequate and comfortable. Too near a noisy club/restaurant with loud music.
location. Easy to find. Clean and good service
Accomodation met the usual adequate Campanile standard. You generally get a hastle free experience at Campanile hotels – which is why I choose them often when on the road. This generally includes the food where a decent meal at a reasonable price can usually be guaranteed. However on this occasion we had to wait nearly half an hour in the restaurant just to be spoken to and then it transpired that the usual daily special menu was not available and we were offered chicken and chips! There were two problems. That evening the hotel was grossly understaffed and the restaurant was reasonable busy (not full but the majority of tables were occupied). The one man on duty had to cope simultaneously with new guests checking into their rooms and taking orders in the restaurant. Something had to give!
Good rooms for the price. Can eat on site.
The very pretty view from the dining area. The convenience of its position.
comfortable friendly staff welcome pets and assist the disabled very very satisfied with all aspects of the stay.
Restaurant facilities at the hotel. Convenient location.
Late check in; Surprisingly comfortable bed and free wi-fi. Black mould round the bath
A good place to stop off while travelling through France. Free Wi-Fi. Coffee and tea making facilities provided.
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpfull. We have had dinners at a Campanile Hotel (not stayed at a Campanile before) in the past and the service and food was comparable with others. The general condition of the decor of the hotel, internal and external, was extremely dissapointing. The fabric has not been maintained to an acceptable standard. The whole hotel looked 'tired' and 'dated'.
The man running the place was very attentive and freindly. The views from our rooms were brill'. Breakfast was a little slow in materialising, but when it did it was very good and comprehensive. The rooms are a bit tired looking. Decor is basic, and badly finished. I was very comfortable in terms of room tempurature, and bed, but if you are put off by a bit of mildew on the bathroom tiles, or bent coat hangers, then it's probably not the place for you.
I thought the Hericlea Hotel Sport was in a prime position and I enjoyed the views across the valley. A lovely place to stay. Nothing.
The staff were nice and the breakfast quite good Rooms were situted behind a gym & workout room. very noisy during aerobic session and more Motel than Hotel.
Warm and friendly welcome The peak season rate was too expensive
Helpful staff, willing to take time & explain things. Watching people exercise! wore me out just wayching :}
Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. I didn't realise that there was no hotel bar where we could buy wine. However, that was more than compensated for by the recommended restaurant in the village.
Enjoyed the swimming pool which was not really hot but so nice after 3h driving. Next morning we enjoyed the hamam after breakfast and the swimming pool was good too. Was a bit strange to see people on training machines in the reception of the hotel but the value for money was really good and we both enjoyed our stay there.
Good location Toilet seat wonky
the manager was helpful the room was next to a gym and there was no reception as such.we had to wait for the manager to arrive to check in.
I broke down and my bike had to be fixed. They organised everything. Brilliant. Vincent was excellent.
No wi fi access as mentioned at time of booking. Large cracks in bedroom walls. Carpet very dirty. Whole hotel very run down.
Driving tours in the area, visited the town of Millau, and photographed the Millau Viaduct. The Hotel staff was only spoken French. The internet did not work.
Clean room, polite staff, ease of use and the beautiful receptionist in one of the hotels! I would recommend the Deltour to other bikers. The fact there are two hotels confused me little. The WiFi didn't work because of the 'clouds' whatever that meant.
Staff Very noisey during the whole night
One of the worst hotels I have stayed in for a long time. Could only recomend it in an absolute emergency. Be careful there are two Deltour hotels the other one looks much better. Room was smelly and towels dirty. Very poor decor. Not a nice place.
Helpful receptionist; lots of information in the foyer; good shower; good parking. Further out of towm than expected
Overall, a good standard for a budget hotel Breakfast arrangements were rather chaotic, especially the coffee service and the arrangements for bread.
room had air conditionung as it was hot when we stayed.staff were helpful
Good breakfast and friendly receptionist. Ground floor room without safety mechanism on window so unable to have fresh-air during the night (ie if window left open, anyone could climb in). No facility to get a hot drink.
helpful staff at the reception being in the disabled room in the annex, there was quite a bit of noise from people parking late at night
Check in was easy no fuss English better than our French. Up the hill from the main town but we had a car so it was fine only problem was they advertised wi fi and wehad a itouch which was not compatible as they gave Mac only wi fi. Did not have the breakfast as we self catered with banana on a baguette plenty enough with good coffee from in town just be careful though as we got lost at night time coming back from the town to the hotel and there is another Detour hotel but older and near the bowling alley . would recommend to anyone
Beautiful location close to the new Millau Viaduct (a marvel of modern engineering). New hotel with small pool beside a nice grill restaurant offering a varied menu. Very nice breakfast area. Chambermaids begin room cleaning at 7:00 am making an unacceptable level of noise (shifting furniture around). Chambermaid opened our room door without knocking.
Location and restaurant
It was handy asa resting place for the night It was basic
location, out of the busy areas. Links to restaurant. No english channels or opportunity to pay to view films etc.
The attached restaurant. Difficult to find. Should have more directional signs.
viewed Millau viaduct
The staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel was comfortable and clean, and the best value for money in France.
very good value for money. The final little touch would be coffee and tea in the room, otherwise first class
The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and the shower good. The staff were helpful. It was quite adequate for the price with a pleasant restaurant adjoining. The room was rather spartan.
The staff wen out of their way to be welcoming, friendly and helpful in every way. The hotel itself is just beautiful, the rooms stunning, and the food exceptional. What's not to like???
Beautiful hotel, both inside and outside. Fantastic position. Our meal was not nearly as good as we expected it to be.
Truly spectacular Chateau, very well restored. Our dinner was excellent....real gourmet cuisine.
We loved the setting of the hotel and the quality of the fine dining. We would have liked to have somewhere to sit in the gardens in the shade other than around the pool. It would have been nice to see flowres in bloom in the gardens.
Beautiful location, wonderful hotel and fantastic food.
The relaxed style and helpful staff always on hand to help and assist whenever needed which was much appreciated. some of the outside furniture could do with some TLC
stayed at this hotel in September 2009 - the Gorge du tarn drive was amazing and the views from the hotel were out of this world. I wouldn't order breakfast as it costs 15 euro each and all you get is tea/coffee, cheese and bread... no fruit or cereal!!
The location, in particular the tranquility of the location The pool area is badly in need of renovation
Amazing....absolutely amazing location and awesome French chateau. We went canoeing on the Tarn in the middle of the huge gorge. Perfect place. Stayed in much much worse 5 star hotels and this one is only 4 stars. The hotel was a little over attentive and fussy. For example we were interrupted during an evening drink and asked to fill out a breakfast card which asked what time we would like to eat breakfast. Fair enough but then we were interrupted again to be told that our choice of time, 1030 was too late as 1000 is the finish time for breakfast. Would be nice to know beforehand if it's such a big...
very good service excellent location!very good food
it appears that they have charged me twice for the accommodation. they took original room fee 50 euros out of my visa a/c & then charged the full amount when departing. I am about to go back & challenge them
Free parking. Room very dark and depressing, would not like to stay more than one night. Very basic.
The bathroom was the only good thing about this hotel. The room was horrible I would rather stray at a Formule1 hotel. There was a n awful smell in the room, it came from the toilet but it was so bad, I had to sleep with my nightie covering my nose. I think they had sprayed something to cover the smell. The room was dark and wall paper torn from the wall really a shabby room.
location and service was good none
The Manger/Staff spoke good English, even though it was limited, and he was very helpful, other staff were very polite and I was allowed to use the hotel garage for my Motorbike free of charge. Our room also had a view of the Millau Bridge. The Location is about 10 minute pleasant walk from the Town Centre, lots of Restaruants and Coffee shops, the Hotel also provides good Food menu at good prices No.
Excellent price for this hotel. This hotel was very plain, not as charming as some others with the same rating. However, for the room rate, it was very acceptable.
i was made very welcome at this hotel, the area is beautiful and the room was clean and warm would have liked a room on a lowerfloor as i have two dogs
comfortable hotel, good food, easy access to town centre
The view of the river Tarn and the mountains above were more than worth the price of the room alone.
Good location with parking Pleasant staff Fantastic views
the best meal we have ever had!, location on the spectacular gorges du tarn road, we were upgraded to a suite which was very spacious, friendly helpful staff (in English)
The setting, accomodation and the food
Room very large and comfortable for the price of Euros 85. Food in restaurant excellent quality and price when ordering from the menu. Staff very helpful and friendly. Setting even better than that!
The location of the hotel on the river, and the fact that all the rooms have a view of the river. The hotel is stylish and comfortable. The food is rather pretentious and bland, stylishly presented, but with virtually no choice and the same food on both nights. We didn't like it, and it represented very poor value.
helpful staff - nothing was too much of a problem. great and imaginative food. great location for discovering the Tarn Gorge and the Millau viaduct. a shower screen or curtain would have kept the shower water off the bathroom floor. tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be an improvement. perhaps a hot food option at breakfast.
The location is very peaceful and the Tarn Gorges are beautiful. The restaurant is excellent and the only criticism is that the portions are too large and the service too swift - we needed time between courses
The location; the atmosphere; the facilities and the staff all excellent. Also a special mention to the menu, four star value in a three star hotel. Our stay was too short !!!
Very large and comfortable room, to which we were taken by the English- speaking receptionist. Very clean. Superb views of the valley. Shower was over the bath but, with no screen or curtain, was impossible to use without soaking the floor! Dinner menu was clearly designed by a chef trying to be too clever! My main course was a piece of salmon, a few very thin slices of salsify, two small wedges of beetroot, and half a tomato, for which the charge was a disgusting 22€! My wife had two tiny pieces of cod, each on a blini, a tiny piece of roasted lemon, and one or two vegetables, for the same ridiculous price! Breakfast, at 13€, consisted of a small bottle of juice between two people, a small bowl of fruit salad with a separate container of yoghurt, two choices of cereal, one choice of cheese, plus bread, croissants and coffee. Certainly would not stay there again.
All the staff were very helpful. The location is superb and the facilities are excellent. We will stay there again.
liked the location and ambience -staff pleasant and the decor very unusual and attractive One glaring omission was the lack of coffee/tea making facilities in the bedroom-normal in most hotels of this standard.
Convenient location. well presented and staffed.
We went to Millau to see the viaduct and by chance our room had a balcony from which you could see it, albeit at a distance You are not made aware of the difficulty of parking, if you are driving. There was no room in their garage and we were very lucky to find a space in public car parks near by.
Our room on the 8th floor had a wonderful view of the old town & the Viaduc & Causse. It was very comfortable & the hotel is in a very good location with parking available.
Great view of the Millau Bridge (if you ask) Good location for shops, bars & cafes. Limited parking which was full on our visit, breakfast & evening meals expensive.
Position, quality of furnishings & tea making facilities ( could do with a more ) Breakfast was very good ... but expensive !!!! Wouldn't have it again. Restaurant closed early.... And it did lack atmosphere !!!!
Centre of town, excellent facilities,
Room was excellent, bed very comfortable and the view of the Millau bridge first class. The restaurant looked basic and more like a 'cafeteria'. Offputting. I did not eat there.
food mediocre. air conditioning in bedroom inadequate.
The room was spacious. Staff friendly but unhelpful. The hotel seemed to turn down exhaust fan from bathroom resulting in back flow of sewerage smell. Quite disgusting.Carpets very dirty. Expensive parking and had to pay for internet when it was free for Ibis customers in the same building. We stayed at same rated Mercure in Albi and had a wonderful experience.
Charming French chateau with beautiful views of the Millau viaduct. Staff very helpful and restaurant served great food in atmospheric restaurant in the old guard room. As my partner is in a wheelchair a lovely breakfast was brought to us in our room Access into hotel a little awkward especially in the dark. Adapted bathroom in disabled room good except bar beside toilet at wrong angle for someone confined to a wheelchair.
A good location, out of the centre of town and overlooking the Millau viaduct. Old section of the hotel is very interesting and characterful. Very good value - fortunately the clock in the adjacent church did not chime at night. Soundproofing in the room was not great and lack of a shower curtain - minor quibbles for the cost. Main complaint was with the restaurant. Very nice atmosphere and excellent food let down by sloppy service: took one hour ten minutes to get our (cold) starter, one starter was wrong but I wasn't going to send it back after that time and, almost a first for France, I ordered a medium steak and it arrived very well done. Not what I expect of a reasonably expensive restaurant hence we only used it once.
We liked the situation over looking the Bridge of Millau. The dinner and the breakfast were excellent and a great abiance They didn't speak English in the dining room
Great hotel, great location. Rooms were clean. Staff were very friendly and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure we were looked after. Dining experience in the restaurant is well worth it.
The building was fantastic and the views over the town of Millau were excellent
Dinner was strange.
NOT A LOT Unfriendly staff and very pretentious attitude in restaurant.
The superior room with the added bonus of a view of Pont du Millau. Also the traditional room but with up to date facilities. It was also a very spacious room. The restaurant was expensive but very good. Car parking was good being within the grounds.
comfortable accommodation, good breakfast. Easy access into Millau
Very comfortable room, full of character, easy access to room from car parking via patio doors. The tiles on the bathroom floor are lethal when wet. Although the hotel is fantastic I would not say the same about it`s pretentious overpriced restaurant and it's unhelpful staff, which spoiled the stay for us.
The situation by the pretty town of Meyeuris, perfect for the Gorges du Tarn, very wild countryside. Beautifully warm and cosy in the chateau, dining rooms perfect, candelbras roaring log fires[end Nov], fantastic food and wine. Bedroom and en suite adequate, could do with a little updating.
Beautiful Hotel Our room was very tired and dated
We like very much to stay in this hotel it was perfect.
The location was ideal for exploring the region The hotel seems to be lacking in maintenance. The decor and grounds seem to be in need of attention, The dining room was crowded and the price was too high for the quality. One night we dined twice as well for half the price in a nearby Logis de France. Breakfast was the type of self-service you would find in a cheaper hotel.
The staff was very helpful. The maitre D in the dining room was particularly helpful. The food was excellent. It was a lovely place to stay. The road to the hotel from Millau was long and in poor condition. It was not a good place to stay if you wanted to take side trips outside the gorges.
slightly faded elegance, unique environment unlike most faceless "corporate" chains; warmth of staff; beautiful location
It was excellent !!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The town is gorgeous and the scenery just stunning, and it is just five minutes off the motorway so couldn’t be more convenient. The room was fairly basic and functional but had a large, modern bathroom. The hotel owners were lovely – very friendly and did their best to help us when someone blocked us in the car park and prevented us leaving for an hour!! If you need somewhere to stop beyond Clermont Ferrand I would definitely recommend here and would like to return to the area in general.
super welcome, gorgeous village in rural massif central
yes, excellent service, food, value for money, and accommodation No
A fairly comfortable and reasonably priced hotel. The views from the hotel room( has a balcony) are just beautiful. the place has a bar and restaurant.. there are a few retaurants nearby. no
The keys were waitng for us, the room zas Ok for a transit hotelm the two young waitresses in the dining room were delightful, despite the madame being a sourpuss
Secure parking and location Rooms are circa 1960 basic no frills food was passable if you like oily food
Having a restaurant available and Le Canourgue is a very pretty small town and well worth a visit.
The hotel is located central La Carnougue, easy access to the very nice and cosy town. Good starting point for tours into the National Park. Rooms are clean and equipped with new nice looking bathrooms.Garage was offered to us to park our motorbikes free of charge. The rooms on the street side are loud in the morning. The breakfast served was not ours, but you can ask for different.
A lot of noice during the night and at the morning, very noisy
Very central for Millau town and a good base for seeing the bridge and countryside around Millau. No
Great location, excellent value for money, good breakfast
Very basic, motel style hotel. Good central location with nice terrace and voews over the Tarn Gorge. Expect to pay for parking in the nearby public car park as there are no parking facilities on site. Toilet and shower facilites are communal. Breakfast was too expensive at 6Euros per person. Totally not worth it for a cup of coffee, small juice and 2 pieces of baguette. do not order this!
The position of the hotel was good We were made to feel as if we were imposing rather than our presence valued. The person who checked us in was very friendly and helpful, but either later that evening, or the next day when a different person was at the desk the response to requests was not as helpful and positive.
Close to station & city centre but also beautiful countryside easily accessible.
Lovely open spaces, centrally situated, convenient to all the shops. Keen prices. Lack of air conditioning. I would recommend only if people were on a tight budget and weren't due to stay during the very hot summer months.
1) Close to the center of Millau; 2) easy to reach from the highway; 3) value for money the beds, especially for the children the quality of the beds was very poor
The hotel was very central to Millau and therefore an excellent base It was very basic and quite dark inside, the facilties were along the corridor so take a dressing gown if you are staying there. It is basic and cheap so if you want central/cheap and cheerful its for you
Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent location. Rooms clean and decent size. Breakfast good. Parking close to hotel was difficult.
Reasonable location, helpful owner, convenient to supermarket and free on site parking.
godd basic clean hotel value for money !!!
A budget hotel with very friendly staff. Within easy walking distance of the town centre.
Easy to find. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in need of a major update. The bedrooms (room 40 in our case) need air conditioning as it was extremely hot, the bathrooms need major work try sitting on the toilet, our knees were touching the wall in front, the shower tray was very slow to drain.
The room and bathroom were very clean, the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful. We arrived with an extra person and they gave us a family room at no extra cost.
A good, inexpensive stop-off point for visiting the Millau Viaduc and exploring Millau, the Tarn gorge and the surrounding countryside.
The fact that it was quite handy to walk into the town center, also it was handy to drive into the local countryside. We did not like the fact that there was no Air Conditioning in the bedrooms, the weather was too hot making sleeping uncomfortable.Carparking wasnt as good as we were led to believe
Overnight stay travelling through so ideal for this purpose. Owner/proprietor most helpful re. finding somewhere to eat in the evening, things to do in the town etc. I imagine they will have accessibility problems for disabled in the future - 3 floors & no lift - didn't worry us but could see it could be a problem although they do have ground floor rooms
Good location, for travelling in the area. Nice size rooms. Free secure parking. No Air conditioning. It got really hot. Opening the windows helped a little bit, but let in all the street noise. Breakfast is basic bread/coffee.
Good location near to Millau centre (10 minutes walk). We were able to park our motorcycles fairly safely in car park which was locked at night.
