This hotel was very convenient to the Autostada. The room we stayed in was very large and clean. We stayed on a Saturday night and although the restaurant was closed the desk clerk gave directions to a very good restaurant close by. Although they advertised an American breakfast buffet it was disappointing at best. With a very poor selection and not much choice for 10 euro a person.
Big room and nice bathroom. The menu of the day was very poor.
Location to and from the Exhibition Centre in Modena. Breakfast price not included in the price and €10.00 is to much if you want a coffee and croissant or toast.
easy to find - all amenities as expected - enjoyed meal in restaurant.
Large bedrooms, Sky TV, comfortable. Breakfast price at €10.00 is to expensive, they should include the price of breakfast in the room price which is affordable.
The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Because it was in a business park, it was very quiet at night. It mainly caters to business clients, so our weekend stay was discounted to less than half the posted rate. The desk staff were very helpful in guiding us around the local area. The bar area was a nice place to relax after walking around Modena and Verona. We booked two rooms, but we could have all stayed together in the quad room that they gave our daughters, saving us ~100 Euro for the two nights.
Big room, good choice of TV channels, free parking Thin walls, poor breakfast (as all over Italy), wireless internet not working in rooms, only one free elec socket
Very large rooms. Close to highway. Rooms heating not at the best, a bit slow to warm up.
the room is clean and quite large with a fitted carpet that makes a warm floor. The bathroom is large as well and there are just enough power outlets to plug in a mobile charger and a laptop. no free Internet facilities, the matress was too soft, the pillows are too thin and no extra pillows in room,
extremly expensive internet - only one computer in the loby, you need a credit card to use it
Proximity to old town center and train station
The location near the town centre. Staff directed to a tour of a Balsamic Vinegar Factory which was a delightful experience. The tour is a must do. Restricted Parking
Excellent staff treatment. None
friendly staff no tea/coffee facilities in room
staff friendly and very helpful. spotlessly clean rooms. Breakfast very good. internet fast and free. reasonable price. excellent location. main road but not noisy. congrats.keep it up! No it was up to my expectations
Good food. Very good that they had free wi-fi, I think that is basic for any hotel today. Good hotel for cost-conscious business people and families. Good location - close to old town and train station - and hence to airport bus. Many people in restaurant = locals find that the kitchen is competitive. English menu in restaurant would help. Though waiter spoke English and helped.
The towels were very bad
The lady at the reception was very friendly and nice. The Hotel is very simple but clean and very close to city center.
Everything was great...I recommend this Hotel to people who go this region to visit Ferrari Museum.
The television setup was peculiar - you picked channels by menu ... pick a channel, go back to menu, pick another channel - very clumsy and no channel surfing possible. Also very limited channel range
Lovely big comfortable room and bathroom, able to park right outside. Also just off motorway but no traffic noise and good steak restaurant across the road. No complaints regarding room etc but would prefer free internet.
The excellent staff and their ability to communicate Just that it was far from the center of town and we thought it was the one the owned in the center
Location near Highway Breakfast room is rather small and without charm
the cleanliness and the silence of the room despite the nearby street nothing
very good location - close to highway, but quiet. Excellent rooms, nice breakfast choice
Breakfast Room very small and breakfast service slow.
Our room wasn't in the main hotel, it was in a motel section next to it. The room was excellent - the whole place is brand new and the room was huge. The decor is lovely, there was plenty of places to sit in the room and the bathroom was excellent. It is right near the auto strada but traffic noise wasn't a problem at all. Excellent hotel. Nothing - it was all excellent.
The one AMAZING thing about this hotel is the restaurant and bar. The coffee is fantastic, and the restaurant is easily one of the better places we've eaten in Italy and at a reasonable price. The bar was also lovely during the day, and the staff there were very kind. It's about 20 minutes from the city center of Modena. The main issue here is the wireless internet. One front desk staff was particularly rude, and she continually seemed annoyed with us. The check in process was awful, they put us in a room in one of the auxiliary buildings which literally had zero connectivity to the network. The network wouldn't even appear. The Front Desk staff then told us to bring our devices to the front desk so they could show us how to login - which was particularly unhelpful unless you're sleeping in lobby. Furthermore, we'd accidentally left a small handbag in the previous room, and which the front desk lady called us to return. She then rolled her eyes and scoffed as she handed it to us when we came down, which was startlingly rude. Then, with annoyance, the front desk lady changed us to the main building - where we discovered we'd been moved to a smaller room which could still barely connect to the internet on an iPhone or laptop. We also had to move our bags ourselves, and we received no offer of assistance in the process. Having a background in the IT hospitality world, I can absolutely confirm they have a horrendous network connectivity problem. Despite our numerous complaints, they insisted they weren't received other complaints from guests, which I cannot see being possible. I consistently received download speeds of 0.4mbps, when the network would connect at all. Overall it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had, having travelled through Italy for four months total.
Excellent room standard, for the price paid. Restaurant closed on a Saturday night, which meant a taxi to and from another which was inconvenient and cost money we had not planned to spend
Una Hotel Modena was a delightful surprise...only 10 days since opening and the hotel was beautiful! Staff were excellent and could speak English fluently which helped us enormously. The rooms were very modern; there was efficient & effective, free Wi Fi connection, easy parking and great breakfasts. Everything we needed. NA
The best value for the money I have yet to spend in Italy. The location is no more than 6km from the center of Modena - on one of the four main streets (no turns, no confusion, no getting lost). The room is beautiful, large, immaculate. And the dinners, lunches, and even breakfasts at the restaurant ... are better, and cheaper, than the restaurants in town. EUR40 for two appetizers, and entres for two.
Beautiful Hotel that is brand new. The rooms were spacious and well decorated. The breakfast was wonderful, the staff was helpful and spoke English. Overall a great hotel!!
The hotel is quite new and modern designed. The rooms are comfortable. The receptionist was very polite. And the breakfast is excellent! There was only a shampoo in our bathroom, the body lotion and hair balsam was missing. But I asked the cleaning lady for a cream, she went the store and gave me not only a cream but a full manicure set! So it was OK at the end.
The Una Hotel Madena is a very nice hotel, the decoration is of a high level of design and beautiful to look at. Only something wrong with the shower, the rose did not fix in the holder.
Friendly staff. Superb breakfast. Free internet.
very friendly welcoming and helpful staff. Very convenient for town centre being a pleasant 5 to 10 minute walk for daytime shopping or evening restraunts. a bit scruffy around the edges.
Staff were friendly and helpful and were able to converse in english The hotel staff were not familiar with the motor sport museums and attractions in the area which is a big draw for the area. There is more info at the Ti on the main Piazza
We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. It was very convenient to where we were headed, and the staff was very professional and helpful, such as with directions to the sights there. We would highly recommend this hotel. No.
The place is good, only need to walk for 5-10 minutes from the station and city center . Intolerably dirty , outmoded, the air conditioner is bad,
Location (near train and bus station and within 10 min walk from Duomo) and value for money. Also, books were available in each floor for free Design, decoration, room space, breakfast were just acceptable and they were reflecting the low rate of the room (value for money)
The classic type of a typical Italian down town hotel, easily accessable by car. Friendly atmosphere, helpful people.
Based on other reviews of hotels in the Modena area, this was chosen. The other hotels got lousy reviews.. This is a fairly cheap hotel with simple standards. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. One other thing worth mentioning, was the sound proofing of the room, which turned out to be very good. Nice and quiet at night despite the location (close to a main road).
Spacious room in a hotel with a good location and friendly and helpful staff.
Pretty good location. Parking right in front of the hotel door (it's a city spot, but hotel gives you a permit). Staff is friendly. Old hotel. Bare minimum facility. Bathroom has spots of mildew.
The hotel was very welcoming with staff that greeted us well. The room was well appointed and clean. The hotel also had a swimming pool which was very much appreciated. I would recomend this hotel.
Very comfortable and very good services
Nothing was to much trouble. Very friendly staff. Good location and would definately stay there again.
Very comfortable and convenient. Good value for money. No particular charm, rather impersonal atmosphere (a lot of businessmen), but quite pleasant nevertheless.
Very hot weekend, had air condition and swimming pool. Used as a overnight stop and would use again. Staff friendly. Breakfast good. Nicley situated just off motorway Remote and had to use facilities on site ie Restraunt.
Staff was very friendly and helpful
Very spacious and clean room with a view over the pool-area (they upgraded us without extra cost), ekstremly friendly and helpful staff, specially the manager Claudio. We forgot 3 pair of shoes in a shop close to the hotel and we didnt find out about it until we arrived Florence. I called the hotel and they picked up the shoes for us.
Excellent hotel. Very comfortable rooms; Good restaurant but a little expensive. Nice location at the country side. Easy to find. Close to modena. large free parking.
Very charming hotel with a great restaurant. We had difficulty finding the hotel. The driving instructions from Book it were confusing and incorrect
the breakfast I had one major problem with my stay at the Hotel Le Ville: It is a 4-star hotel so I expected to get a 4-star room. Once arrived at the hotel I found out that this hotel actually also offers 3-star rooms (in the "Depandance") and that I was in a 3-star room.
Helpful staff, very modern room and shower room, good breakfast and on edge of city centre.
Reasonably close to the station. Very accessable to both restaurants and shopping.
The bed was very confortable Not enaught sorts of bread at the breakfast
Courtesy of staff. An easier access to the reception would have been nice. We had to drag heavy bags up for a few stairs.
Friendly courteous staff. Very modern, stylish and clean. Not applicable
Modern innovative design was appreciated. Friendly and accommodating staff. Location is ideal for exploring the quaint shops and sights.
Centralized location in the centre of Modena. Excellent service and friendly people.
Great breakfast, impeccably clean modern rooms, helpful staff. Parking was included in the price. Main attractions couldn't have been closer, yet the hotel was in a quiet street. No restaurant.
Good Hotel Good staff and Good location No
The hotel staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants. Step in to the bathroom
Very good location, only a short walk from the historic city centre. A nice clean hotel and very good range of food at breakfast.
Very close to the city center, and nearby very good restaurants!
Everything, especiall the locality. No
Bing in a very quiet part of town, central in the old city - but difficult to find Rather small, especially the bathroom
Very central location and very quiet and superb room I asked for use of a computer and they couldn't even find the password. Then they said they didn't have Word - very strange. The other thing that I simply didn't like was the coffee. I confirm what other reviews said about coffee being cold and lousy. Otherwise, breakfast quite good.
Warm wellcoming staf, were very helpful in every way.wonderfull location- few steps from the center. clean and quiet rooms.
Helpful staff, particularly Paulo, who gave us restaurant recommendations for a day trip to Florence No
Very good location just outside of the city wal of the old town.
We got a very large room, very comfortable, bedroom+livingroom. The hotel was located in the center.
Great location, clean, decent breakfast, free wifi
Welcomingand comfortable. We enjoyed the restaurant underneath, very good simple Italian food and very pleasant service. We did not realise, when we booked, that the hotel was, in effect in an industrial estate. The next door factory started work, quite audibly, at about 7am. Having said that, we would use it again if in that neighbourhood.
Small ants in the room and bathroom was the only discomfort with this hotel
Large family room. Good breakfast. Quiet location. Very good value for money.
excellent staff and service lack of extra bedding in room
The room was really big and confortable for a 4 star hotel.
Good bathroom, very good beds. Nice room over all, in terms of space and structure. Nice lobby. The room was not clean. There were traces of bread or biscuits on the bed and on the shelf. Also some of the walls were poorly built and came loose when I tried to pull my equipment out of the electricity plug-in. This should be easily fixed, I think...
Comfortable, quiet, well equipped rooms I did not find the staff particularly friendly, although they were efficient
The room was clean and comfortable. There is no restaurant in the hotel!!! You need to go to the city center if you want to eat, and it is quite a very long walk!!! One would expect a 4 star hotel to have a restaurant!!! Hotel staff are not friendly and quite rude!!!
The hotel was quiet and the lobby and bar were quite nice. didnot appreciate the offhanded check in staff
Breakfast excellent One member of reception staff barely civil and very self-important. Room stuffy because air-con only turned in early morning. Traffic noise prevented opening window. Noise from adjacent bathrooms left nothing to the imagination! No WIFI, and charge of 5 euros was made to use an ancient, slow and absolutely filthy computer in lobby. This hotel is over-rated and over-priced.
I liked the room and the little touches like the slippers, bathrobes and toiletries etc. The laundry service was excellent and the bar/waiting staff were lovely. The room was far too hot which made it uncomfortable and although we asked at Reception for something to be done about it nothing was done.
Typical Italian hotel built in the 1960's, and could benefit from some refurbishing. Rooms are large and comfortable. Bathroom recently upgraded. Staff very efficient. Well located at the entrance of Modena, coming from Bologna. Close to the Tangenziale. Easy car park.
Great place for the money.
There was no air conditioning and the rooms were very hot on the nights we stayed at the hotel.
Staff was very courteous and helpful. Location is outside of city but that makes it nice. Hotel was very clean and had great outside spaces. Pillows & Bed Linens were stiff and uncomfortable.. Even the 'triple room' was very small. No Air conditioning.
This is a wonderful hotel - out in the country, so it is very relaxing. They loaned us bicycles that we used to get to a nearby restaurant. The hotel staff (hotel employee in particular) were great - very helpful. The breakfast is very nice, too. The location is a good bit out of town, so if you don't have a car, you rely on cabs, which gets expensive. A hotel shuttle would be a nice addition.
Beautiful hotel outside the old city but beautiful grounds, pool, lovely staff, free parking at hotel, but have to drive into the city; parking available around the old city;
Very spacious clean rooms, including spacious great bathroom with all amenities. Close to downtown but quiet. Outdoor hot tub at disposal and bar in hotel. Breakfast amazing and very fresh.
For starters, that it is photoshopped. There is a huge, tacky yellow 'HOTEL' sign on top of what looks like an idyllic building from the pictures. There is also a parking lot in front of the hotel that is cut out of the pictures. Low quality, avoid.
Nice location, big rooms the rebuilding is taking too long. Still some noise during the day. Too aggressive detergent to wash the bed sheets or rinse not properly done.
Hotel situated in a good place for driving a car to the city or to other cities, and rooms were big enough. There wasn't a pool, but a jacuzzi was very cozy to our children.
The staff was unpleasant and the rooms were not the same as in the picture. We asked the staff about local attractions and were given misinformation.
- The comfort and cleanliness of the rooms - There was only one elevator for serve for the whole hotel. - TV set is exceptionally small
Food at the attached restaurant was excellent and well priced; free internet access in the lobby; room was large and clean Quite distant from the city centre, and nothing much of interest in the surrounding area
price The hotel is situated very very far from the city center. Outside the windows you can see the fields and tractors:) The staff is rude and impolite. If ther is any at all - it is very difficult to find somebody in the bar, for instance. Breakfast is disastrous.
The staff at Reception were polite and helpful. However, on a few occassions I found the staff working in the breakfast restaurant a little cold and unhelpful. For example, I had been waiting a while to ask for tea, yet the Italians and Germans were served before me even though they arrived later. I felt this intimidating being a young female on my own. The bedroom was very comfortable, however sometimes I noticed the bathroom floor wasn't very clean; even when I arrived on my first day there were hairs on the floor.
Personnel courtesy Hotel style
The hotel is close to the autostrada and we made a one night stopover whilst travelling to north Italy. The only hotel in Italy who could not use my American Express card which could not find the reason of problem. The front desk did not speak good English to communicate or solve the problem.
clean rooms; excellent breakfast and coffee; friendly staff at the breakfast; we stayed here to break our journey enroute to rome lighting in the room was dim; reception was not friendly - probably because we didn't speak italian and the front desk person did not speak english
The room was clean, neat, and silent enough to rest. From is at the centre and can be reached easily.
The owners were extremely helpful in aiding us in activities in the area, providing suggestions, maps and directions. The hotel staff was knowledgeable & always willing to help at any time of the day or night. Extremely pleasant environment. The breakfast provided was delicious.
Welcome hot shower Smelled as if previous smoking in room
The hotel was very good. value for the price we paid.staff were excellent. very close to the train station in a quite area. will recommend this hotel to everyone. As a non smoker the room we stayed had a smell of smoke from other user of the room. I recommend that you have a few rooms just for smokers or ban smoking in the rooms
The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. The location is close to the city and the breakfast was okay. I have stayed in some other hotels in the area, but from now on I will make Donatello my first choice because the staff was so nice. The wireless internet did not work in my room.
The location was really hard to find at first but when we do find it, it was really great 'cause it was really to get to Ferrari from there. The breakfast was really plain, alot of selections but everything looks very stale. And they did not have a map of modena. If you need one, go get a from a tobacco store. For a hotel that boost free parking, shouldnt it have maps of the place for like drivers?
The walking distance to Modena centre Only italian speaking staff, the room wasn't that clean. In the breakfast room, please put a stand with the room numbers that the guests can point their own room, instead of the staff asking each and everyone for their room no. Overall the hotel needs a renovation.
Good location close to the center of the town. Reasonable rooms for the price, staff (with one exception) were very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. One strange incident regarding a coffee, the waiter was quite rude and unfair and no apology at all to my friend who had done nothing wrong.
Good breakfast, 2 km walk to city centre - easy walk, great Italian restaurant nearby across the street, free underground parking the air conditioning was not very good so quite hot to sleep already in mid May
A nice new, clean hotel convienient for buisness & only 12 Euros for taxi if you want to see the centre of town. Good price and very convienient if you need to get to the airport (aprox 30 mins).
cleanliness , nice and friendly staff
