Domki i Pokoje u Borsa - Lesko - Building
1
9.4 Excellent (109 reviews)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It has a nice out-of-the-way location (see my photos of the surrounding countryside), tucked away by the river below the hill on which Lesko town sits. Especially convenient if you have a vehicle. Walking via the hill path, it's about 20 minutes to the town square. Bus station is also about 20 minutes' walk away, along a rather narrow and busy road. I stayed in one of the rooms on the top floor of the house, rather than one of the chalets. It was a very comfortable and modern space with some beautiful wooden decor. A spacious private bathroom, and shared kitchen facilities in the hallway. No air-conditioning and the weather was hot, but there was enough protection from the sun and a skylight for some breeze. A fan would be appreciated, but that's Central Europe for you. There's a nice view from the property, and walks along the river and across the bridge to the village of Huzele. Just along the gravel road, near the junction with the paved one, is a decent, reasonably priced pub/restaurant (try the goulash), where you'll likely spend a lot of time if you lack a vehicle. There's also a good supermarket at the top of the hill, but a bit dicey on foot with all the traffic.
Cons: Wi-fi was weak on the upper floor of the house -- no router was evident -- and I know from conversations with one of the chalet occupants that it was even weaker for them. No daily room service.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: No communication in english. Only polish.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We did not get scared off by misleading information (check-in until 15:30? not that bad!) or the complete lack of communication, and in the end it was OK. Arriving in the evening, a neighbour called the owner who arrived in a few minutes. We have not seen any cozy fireplace rooms like those in the pictures and we got a different room than expected, but the rooms at the second floor are very nice, clean, comfortable and well equipped, and just as spacious as necessary. There is a small kitchen shared in the hall at the top of the stairs and it is really very well equipped for anything you might desire. Rooms have their own bathroom, fridge and jug kettle. Free sweets and drinks are a nice bonus. The house is a shiny new building in an older recreational area with some more or less renovated wooden cabins and a few old gloomy-looking campsite buildings around, but that does not really disturb the good feeling of the wood between the castle and the river. Several supermarkets and the town center are accessible within a few hundred meters reach.

Cons: The breakfast was just yo-hum. Cold to warm runny scrambled eggs and sausages (little hot dogs) are not my favorite. The cold food was fine and the coffee was great!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and large 2-rooms apartment with balcony and a very beautiful view to the lake and surrounding mountains. Good breakfast. Convenient free parking at the territory of the Hotel.
Cons: The bathroom door is too noisy, and some bathroom equipment need a repair. Very inconvenient working hours of SPA-center and gym; they start to work late in the afternoon. Weak signal of WiFi.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location, with nice lake view from the room.
Cons: First of all, when I grabbed my pillow I saw huge stain on the mattress - horrible!!!! Shouldn't take place in 3 star hotel. What is more electric socket just hang from the wall. I thought, okay just one night, but the worst did not come yet. I came to the desk to check out, gave my key and told that I use snack from minibar and want to pay for it. I heard "wait wait wait, I have to check you" from receptionist. Receptionist got her phone and started calling Mrs Krysia - "Mrs Krysia please go and check room nr 4." I asked is it normal procedure, I got answer yes they check EVERY SINGLE GUEST IF HE DID NOT DESTROY THE ROOM O_o and what exactly is missing from minibar and guest have to wait in front of the reception desk for verdict of Mrs Krysia. I felt like far away being GUEST of the hotel, I felt like someone not trustworthy who should you X-ray and check his pockets. ...in the meantime Mrs Krysia came and through corridor started giving at loud report what is going on with room and what is missing from minibar :D Due to my job I have been in hundred of hotels but never ever experience this kind of treatment, post-communism mentality where guests come to hotel to destroy and steal.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: In apartment need shower .
4.5 Okay
Pros: Great location breakfast was good...
Cons: Booked this hotel as advertised had air con in rooms. It didn't and they were stuffy and arrogant denting it was advertised. Then when shown advertised room facilities backed down Dreadful customer experience to be made to feel like an idiot.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast starts usually at 0800 but they made a special breakfast for me at 0715.
Cons: WLAN signal was weak and speed was poor although the hotel was almost empty.
Zamek W Lesku - Lesko - Building
13
6.9 Good (252 reviews)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A room in a real castle. Real quiet with thick stone walls. Really good breakfast down in the dungeon. A path Dow to the river is steep, but it should be to protect the castle
Cons: WiFi did not reach to our room at the far end of the castle. Had to connect in the lobby
6.3 Good
Pros: Super location. And it is a real castle! Staff were really helpful and nice.
Cons: "Apartment" was on the second floor, attic. The roof over the bed was so low (in both tiny rooms), that you really had to remember in the morning not to get up quickly, otherwise you could hurt your head. The price for it was higher than normal room, but I would not call it comfortable. The whole estate definitely needs interiors renovation. Breakfast was a surprise. A lot of choice, but, rather low quality products or strange choices (example: cooked liver with onion - for breakfast?) No yogurts, no toasts, no rolls no marmalade, no fruits, no coffee machine.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Breakfast was the worst, room worse, overall score bad.
4.5 Okay
Cons: Horrible bed - uncomfortable, old type, squeaking
4.3 Okay
Pros: Location for trips in the mountains.
Cons: Waiting for receptionist when checking in (for 15 min). No one at the reception. Receptionist unprofessional (laughing all the time during checking in process, not sure if drank or stoned?) Rooms with single beds. Looked nothing like on the pictures. Old dated decor and furniture. TV positioned behind the wardrobe so you can't watch TV from your bed. No toiletries for the shower. Cracked basin. Mirror and glass shelf chipped around. Only one light out of free working in the bathroom, very dark. Only one tiny towel per person. Basic breakfast.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The terrace was nice, and the look of the castle from outside.
Cons: The set up of the room was bad, we needed to move furniture as the way it was set up didn't make any sense. We always ask for 1 double bed we did have 2 single beds separated by chest drawers, We asked for another room but the only option with double bed was apartment. The room was dirty, bed linen was with holes. I really was looking forward to the stay but i was very disappointed. The photos on the website are not really reflecting the property. On arrival we were waiting very long time for someone to check us in, we were after long journey and it wasn't the best start. Breakfast was good, terrace need some furniture, when we wanted to sit outside we took with us table and chairs from the room. The place could be great but not as it is at the moment.
