The room was very dirty there was human hair (of all types) in the bathroom and stuck on the bathroon mirror! The carpet was dirty and it also had human hair and pet hair as well. The hallway was filled with cigarette smoke the entire stay..
room smelled dirt on floor the so call cont. breakfast was cereal and toast just glad we were only staying one night
Room wasn't clean. Linens were stained and there was hair in the ice bucket. The light switch. by the bed cut power to the whole room. Toilet ran constantly. The hallway smelled and there was wallpaper peeling everywhere. WiFi doesn't work most of the time.
Besides needing a total renovation,Room service was very poor. Therer were not enough towels supplied for my wife and I.The free breakfast was only danishes which were not fresh and there was not enough seating for guest, my wife and I had to eat on a sofa in the lobby. There was no orange juice for us,and when we requested it we were told that they ran out.
staff unfriendly and unhelpful. expensive to use computer
We had a great stay. We were in town for a concert and had ordered a cab. However, the cab was scheduled to arrive later than what we had planned so the hotel offered shuttled us to the concert location and we didn't miss a thing! The only thing I could see being an issue for someone was our room was located next to the restaurant/bar attached to the hotel and music could be heard from our room late at night, but we were so tired we didn't mind. If this would be an issue for someone, just request to have a room down the hall.
I like the room. Very clean and comfortable. Lots of parking right outside of room. Easy off and on interstate. Was halfway point in my traveling and would use it again for the rate and room comfort.
All night long people were going up and down the hallway, knocking on doors , banging on walls, obviously drunk and being very loud. When I talked to the desk clerk , she said they were at full capacity and it was an event weekend(UK football game). The bathroom sink hadn't been cleaned and the shelves above the refrigerator looked like they hadn't been dusted for a month. There were coffee grounds on the counter. The room also smelled like it use to be a smoking room. When we left in the morning the parking lot was littered with trash and beer bottles!! I don't know how it would be when there isn't an event going on, but there's no way I will stay here again.
Good enough for my purposes. Enjoyed the pool. I was an easy straight drive away from downtown, and it was easy to get to from the interstates.
This hotel was nice for the price and location. They could have had more food choices though. It probably wasn't the best Days Inn that I have stayed in, but it was fine.
If you have children I would not recommend this hotel. It is next to the Roadhouse Saloon and night time activity is very interesting. My experience was intoxicated people wandering the parking lot, wandering through the lobby and knocking on doors because they could not find their room. I also booked a non-smoking room and when I arrived they did not have a room for me. We did not stay the night at this hotel.
Weekend of 6/24/2010 to 6/26/2010 When you go there never put all your money in the same card. They try to take more money than they are supposed to. When i exclaimed to the front manager, after I checked my bank account i asked them why are they trying to take away more money than they are supposed to, and they said they never took any money from my account. Sure they didn't, but they tried to pass my card for a bigger amount of money than what was in the card. The front manager was so disrespectful to me in front of my family. At the end of our conversation he said if I'm not satified with the service i could go to another hotel. I don't recommend this hotel at all.
Stayed four nights, for the Red Mile Grand Circuit. Had two rooms with two king beds for four guys. Lots of room and it was clean. Will stay again next year. Rick ---Essex ON
I would not stay here again. The rooms are musty and are unclean. The staff was not very friendly when we checked in and seemed aggravated to wait on us. When we went over to the bar that evening the bartender was very rude and she never rang up our money to give our change back and put it all in her tip jar. I will certainly not come back to this hotel and recommend others not to either.
The ony thing going for this hotel was it's location and it was clean. Everything else was not so good. The staff was not all that friendly. When we arrives we went to check out our room and the mini fridge was not working the carpet was wet from it leaking and the room stunk something horrible. So we asked for another room and that one had a worse smell than the first. So we asked for a third room and this one was located on the first floor and had a sliding glass door that opened to the parking lot so we stayed in that one so we could air it out a little. The Continental breakfast was the bare minimun and closed 10 minutes early. Also they advertise handicapp rooms but when I asked for one they told me they did not have any handicapp equipped rooms they just had rooms on the first level!! Otherwise the location was very convienant for everything we wanted to do in and around Lexington. The bed linens were really old and the ice machine on my floor did not work. The outside doors were never locked.
Our rooms could have been a lot cleaner. The room smelled musty and the sheets were not clean when we checked in. They did bring clean sheets and apologize.....We made the best of it but we won't go back.
We will be back this month. Loved having entertainment & great food next door. Friendly people. Great hostess for the complimentory breakfast. Great comfortable rooms.
