The restaurant (for dinner - breakfast was a little disappointing). Real windows would have been fine. There was a rather repugnant smell in the room. We couldn't sleep very well because of the spring mattress.
Nicely equiped The waiters in the Restaurant did not speak English
Easy free parking, friendly staff who were keen to use their English
The marvelous landscapes (Swiss Saxony) from the windows. The delicious breakfast. The "cold" welcome. The "Gaststätte" (restaurant) was closed and the courtyard was dark as we arrived. There was no lights and no sign of anyone. The room was not well decorated.
Very kind personal and home atmospherte
Perfect for a family vacation. One room with kitchenette allowed us to eat in together. Adjacent to a noisy street.
Quiet room. Separate seating area/kitchenette with fridge.
after 2 days of travelling the space was a God sent for the children. Very spacious yet private. The restaurant was convenient, offered reasonably priced, good food and was very child friendly. I would recommend the hotel to anyone travelling with the family.
Superb, clean and spacious apartment, decorated tastefully in a minimalist modern style. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value-for-money, comparing well with other hotels and apartments in rural Czech Republic/Eastern Germany. Nothing at all
Very unusual design..bit whacky but full of everything one needs. A very short walk of the town centre and ferry from the station.
Staff very discrete and professioal and genuinely committed to their job. Location very good as near cycleways, walks and the town of Rathen. Town picturesque, area similiar and hotelprovided luxury after a days cycling. The pool and sauna were very cean and accessible at all times. Location to Dresden is 20 minutes or so from train. It would be helpful if the menu and the signage in the hotel were written in English. Rathen and the hotel close down at 9 pm or so so dont come lookin nite life as it aint here.
The position is extraordinary. One has to park on the other side of the Elbe and catch a rope ferry to the hotel - therefore, very quiet. Food excellent. Worth paying the extra for a room facing the Elbe. Reception was not staffed sufficiently.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and polite. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the area - we did not use our car once during the whole stay, instead travelling on foot (hiking the trails) or by paddle steamer on the Elber river. The train station is also very close and easy to find, with regular trains to and from Dresden. Overall, an outstanding quality hotel! Highly recommended.
Location and good dinners in the hotel no
nice Sauna, friendly staff, hiking trails nearby the hotel
the location of the hotel they didn't speak english ...
The hotel is ideally placed for a visit to the Bastei. There are lots of lovely walks in the vicinity. It is very easy to get to Dresden. There is an S train every 30 minutes and the trip takes 40 minutes.
The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area. Nice restaurant. It is important that the hotel has parking. not all staff understood English, so your written request, the hotel can be ignored.
Very friendly staff, super room with balcony, great breakfast, good bar. Ideal location for hiking, walking (us), visiting Bastei area. Walk to Elbe and ferries. Excellent parking spot. No other English speaking guests, nice change. Didn't have time to check reviews, reserved night before we needed a room.
nice clean room, friendly service, good restaurant
