Pros: Sanna and Timo's good humour, kindness, hospitality, delicious meals, tips for visits, etc. We really felt like home. We loved sharing this stay with them.
Pros: A beautiful place on top of a rocky hill. Had the pleasure of hot smoke-sauna, bubbly jacuzzi and dinner cooked on fire by the very welcoming host. What more can you wish for?
Pros: Quintessence of hospitality!
Pros: 1. Top level cleanliness 2. Friendly & service oriented host 3. Compact cupboard with enough room to store clothes 4. Quietness 5. Peaceful nature surrounding 6. Grilling facility/annex: Well equipped outdoor wood-fired grill annex with a lake view 7. Breakfast 8. Close proximity to local communal sauna
Pros: Really nice host. Beautiful location right on the lake with private board walk. Good beds in very nice room. Amazing grill house which we enjoyed a lot. Also it is 5 min. walk from a public sauna, where you can get a real authentic Finnish sauna experience. Get the breakfast, it is really good!
Pros: Our hostess was wonderful and very hospitable. The place is in the forest on a lake - very gorgeous and lovely, peaceful and tranquil! The breakfast was outstanding.
Cons: There could be a microwave oven in the little barbecue hut where we ate. We arrived late as we had hospital appointments and bought food which we could not enjoy so much if we could have heated it in the place designated for eating, which was outside. The bathroom is between two bedrooms so every time someone next door went to the bathroom, I woke up. Tea bags could also be a good addition in the eating place. :-)
Pros: Great location, friendly hosters. Fabulous breakfast!
Pros: Very personable hospitality and very comfortable accomodation.
Cons: Well perhaps the accomodation space is somewhat shared with whomever else might also be staying there if privacy is a concern.
Pros: This is a great place. We recommand. And the breakfast is excellent !
Pros: Beautiful lake and an amazing house built right in the Forrest. If you’re travelling there without a car, it’s easy to get there from Turku with the local transport app - you can even buy tickets directly in the app. Then it’s about a 20min was through the Forrest following the lake to get to the house. We really enjoyed the walk, super beautiful :)
Cons: Nothing, the hosts really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable

Pros: The hostel has everything, it 's like a proper house
Cons: Check in hours
Pros: This was the best place I stayed on my trip. It was extremely friendly and welcoming. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen facilities were excellent.
Pros: The owner. She's a very friendly lady who makes you feel at home. She even watched some TV shows with the guests. Breakfast was very good. The beds are comfortable and the common areas are appropriate.
Cons: I can't think of anything.
Pros: Thanks to Netta for being so accommodating and helpful, this is a home from home. All the little touches and thoughtful pieces make this hostel like staying at a friends, the breakfast options are amazing, beds comfy, bits like toiletries, ear plugs, eye masks available free to use if you've forgotten anything, easy to find, just perfect! If you're visiting turku then stay here!
Cons: The only downside (apart from two of the other occupants snoring
Pros: The location and the staff was really nice. The atmosphere was very welcoming.
Cons: The size and condition for what you pay. The hostel is more an airbnb apartment that can host 8 people in a small bedroom plus common area/kitchen. There is just one bathroom with a toilet so it can get busy. It’s not as much as a hostel than it’s a shared accommodation.

Pros: Comfortable, clean place to stay. I did not use all facilities but Sauna and swimming pool looked very nice. The breakfast was good too.
Pros: Breakfast... Comfy room... Use of electric bike for the week... Sauna... The views and location... Really nice owners... Speak perfect english.... If your ever in turku for work or holiday you will not get better for price... Totally recommend..
Pros: Basically the whole area is such a beautiful place, people are really nice and we had a great fun being there. Hosting was amazing!! Thank you so much. Hopefully see you next time ;)
Pros: Great location, good wood-heated sauna and a pool to refresh oneself after sauna! Pets were allowed at a small extra charge which was a great plus for us.
Pros: We had an earlier ferry to Stockholm and this hotel was the best with location (to Turku ~20min) with the best price. The hotel had rich breakfasts, beautiful view to fields, pool, sauna. The room was clear, the hotel is providing microwave and fridge. Children liked cats, rabbits, chicken, which where in the garden.
Pros: Breakfast was good and plentyful. Location was rural and pretty.
Cons: Our room was very small.
Pros: Good beds, nice staff, good breakfast, good location. petfriendly. Lovely stay. Would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone!
Cons: Maybe slightly small rooms for a longer stay.

Pros: Great location, comfortable beds, friendly staff.
Cons: Room needs some proper cleaning, a lot of dust, especially in the closet area.
Pros: The check in staff and breakfast staff were superfriendly and welcoming . Corridors and Rooms have theatreposters and photographs from performances of nearby Turku City Theatre . Nice touch !!
Pros: The breakfast was good. The reception and main floor lobby were attractive. It was easy to walk to.
Cons: For the money, the service wasn't that great. For instance, our room wasn't cleaned very well and our bed didn't look any better then when we woke up. They didn't bother replenishing or replacing bathroom accessories or coffee.
In the heart of Turku, Park Hotel Turku is within a 5-minute drive of Turku Market Square and Turku Cathedral. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I liked the location and the friendly service. The room was also unique in terms of its decoration (some would call it quirky!). My room was spacious and clean.
Cons: It was a little cold in the breakfast room, as it is located near the entrance. I would prefer espresso-based coffee in the morning instead of filter coffee - this is of course a personal preference. There were not many electric sockets near the bed.
Pros: The place has its unique spirit: cosy and charming old house. The staff was kind and friendly.
Cons: My reservation at booking.com stated “double or twin room”. Luckily I was traveling alone this time and somehow managed to fit in into a tiny room with very little space apart from the bed itself. I can hardly imagine how two people could fit there if what I got was truly meant to be “a double room”.
Pros: If you like this sort of thing, the hotel was very, I don't know, "cozy"? Every wall is covered with pictures, photos, graduation certificates, and various other Finnish memorabilia. It's interesting for a foreigner to look at it all, and I assume generates of lot of nostalgia ("Remember gran used to have that same picture?") among the Finnish guests.
Cons: A truly astonishingly horrible WiFi experience. EVERY WiFi connection is a one per device. To connect each device you are given a tiny scrap of paper on which are printed, in low quality ink using minuscule low contrast fonts, a set of random characters for the both the user and the password. Good luck trying to decipher these, and you'll have to do it three separate times for your iPhone, iPad, and laptop!
Pros: The owners were fantastic. We got a tour of the place and heard about the history of the house and the family that had built it.
Pros: This is let say "grandmother's" hotel, warm, soft, nice breakfast, bath room with everything you need, good breakfast. The praking is free of charge and with quite big space, so it is very comfortable for drivers.
Cons: The walls and door arte a bit thin, so you can hear evertythig from a coridor and next room.
Pros: the breakfast is absolutely gorgeous, the staffs are very friendly and supportive, location is very easy from Turku station. this is real "Authentic" hotel i have ever stayed !!! perfect !
Cons: none. everything was perfect.
Pros: Every thing was fine but not a good value for the money . I would have priced it half as we got.
With a stay at Centro Hotel Turku, you'll be centrally located in Turku, within a 10-minute drive of Port of Turku and Turku Market Square. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, express check-in, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Planning an event in Turku? This hotel has facilities measuring 25 square feet (2 square meters), including a meeting room. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Very good service at the reception, too. All the extra things I organized in the hotel worked like a charm (such as extra breakfasts for friends and using the conference room). This is my usual hotel when I visit Turku, as I love the breakfast and the central (but quiet) place it is in.
Cons: There were construction works outside at the time I was staying there. They started promptly at 8 every weekday morning. But then again, breakfast on weekdays ends at 9:30 anyway, so I was getting up around that time either way... still not the most fun thing to wake up to.
Pros: Nice breakfast selection, quick chek-in&out, flexible with changing reservation.
Cons: Parking is very tight. Room feels a bit outdated.
Pros: Location Shower Comfortable Breakfast Reception open 24 hours
Cons: No coffee tray in the room but we managed to get a kettle from reception.
Pros: Good location
Cons: Small room with view to an ugly inyard, no minibar or other extras. Plastic curtsin for the shower and curtains to close a ”wardrobe”. The price (149eu) is not good value for the room, too expensive. It included breakfast but could also have included the parking (12eu) for example or be cheaper night price for that kind of room.
Pros: Very clean and tidy, comfortable beds.
Cons: TV was very outdated.
Hotel Helmi is located in central Turku, 150 metres from Turku Concert House. It offers rooms with free WiFi and private bathrooms with a shower. Free tea and coffee is available at all times. The staff is happy to arrange car rentals on request. Turku Cathedral is a 10-minute walk away. Moomin World Theme Park is located 16 km from the hotel.
Cons: very bad internet line ..from room impossible to work . , I had to stand at reception where there are no place to stay
Pros: Location, staff, food, price, overall very clean, everything was great, absolutely worth the money, the location is right next to the bus station, but I had not heard any station sound
Cons: There were no power sockets next to the bed
Pros: Breakfast was great and was the best moment of my stay.
Cons: nobody at reception from 7pm, a bit "out of the town", very very poor Wifi connection, rooms need a kind of refresh, no international Tv channels on TV...well it is cheap but I was expecting a bit more.

Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out. Planning an event in Turku? This hostel has facilities measuring 2153 square feet (200 square meters), including conference space. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Long way from ferry terminal. €30 ride
Pros: Comfortable room, with nice bathroom, lots of room for your things. Cheap meals. Nice staff. Sauna, pool, gym. Nice and clean
Cons: Little outside of the city, but busses go frequently. Daytime school's voices between classes can bother. No fridge in the room
Pros: Staff is very kind, and sauna is so good.
Cons: Sunday, sauna was closed.
Pros: Great location, big parking area.
Cons: There was no TV in the room.
Pros: I enjoyed myself
Cons: Everything about the place
Pros: Quite comfortable and cosy hostel (as a matter of fact a folk high school) with lot of space, also very clean and quiet. Very friendly staff. Location is about 4 kilometres from the center of Turku but one bus stop is very near. And with own car there is lot of free parking places. Also cheapest place in Turku 1
Pros: Very very nice and friendly check-in. Everthing was very clean.
Cons: Hostel is a former hospital. That causes a negative mood. Ventilation fan running all night, no switch to turn it off. Uncomfortable noisy heating -> Sound like watter tap running all night. Got just 4 hours of sleep. Horrible.
With a stay at Original Sokos Hotel Wiklund in Turku, you'll be near the airport, within a 10-minute drive of Port of Turku and Turku Market Square. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Very pleasant stay and good location int center of city Modern, original
Pros: Spacious, comfy, well designed room with extra wide comfy bed
Pros: nice lounge, new space concept, modern
Cons: no variation at the breakfast. Room very small. Bad view
Pros: Nice and new hotel in the heart of Turku. Hotel is eco-friendly and plastic bags have been replaced by paper bags.
Pros: Fantastic. Large and bright room, with a lot of lights so that you can work in the evening. Wonderful breakfast, broad variability, including local specialities. Great locality.
Pros: The room was nice and the bathroom very good
Pros: Location was good, staff helpful.
Cons: Access to parking complicated, price a little on the high side

Pros: Good location
Cons: Two flights of stairs, no elevator.
Pros: The location is OK. Near center, beside bus station. The place is clean, rooms may be a little small for longer stay. The staff is kind. Breakfast is included and it's really good.
Cons: It's on the second floor and there is no elevator. Problem with heavy luggage. The kitchen is not equipped very well. There is not enough bathrooms.
Pros: Good breakfast, and very clean, good internet connection. Close from the train station and from the shop/cafe....
Cons: There is no elevator, so be prepared. The bed are very small.
Pros: The staff was very kind. The room was clean and the whole are was clean and tidy.
Cons: The room was little cold and I expected radiator to be warmer. The breakfast was very normal. I liked to see the ingredients of the foods which were not available.
Pros: Great breakfast. Nice staff. Excelent location
Cons: The room was cold.
Pros: Location, staff, very clean
Cons: Thin walls...
Conveniently located right next to Turku Bus Station, this central hotel is within 10 minutes’ walk of the Aurajoki River and just 3.5 km from the Turku Castle. Hesehotelli’s comfortable rooms have both double beds and bunk beds. All feature air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV and fridge. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. The hotel’s feature restaurant Hesburger is open until late throughout the week and serves burgers, fries and salads. A breakfast menu can be purchased at the on-site HeseCafé. The Moomin World Adventure Park in Naantali is located just a 20-minute drive from Hesehotelli. Turku Harbor, where ferries to Sweden and Åland depart, is just 4 km from the property.
Pros: Very next to Turku Bus station. Cost performance is fabulous.
Pros: Very compact, but everything necessary was there and it was enough room for two people. The room was nicely warm, which I find important.
Cons: We stayed for 4 nights, but no one has cleaned during our stay. I did not address this issue to the staff, however.
Pros: The location
Cons: We didn't like that breakfast was not provided, and there is not too many options at Hesburguer. We stayed in 9 hotels during our trip, and in 8 of them had fantastic breakfast buffets. We would have preferred to pay more but have a great breakfast to start the day. Also, it seemed a little unprofessional to have to check in inside the restaurant. Other than that, we liked the hotel. Thank you
Cons: Bunkbed really scary and unsafe, we finally had to put the mattress on the floor. Lack of cleaning, lots of dust and hairs, should be more clean.
Cons: Confusing to check in as you have to essentially pretend you want to buy a burger to check in
Cons: it was a little dirty, but still OK and sadly it was also a little loud, but also still OK
Pros: They let us check in early in the morning without any extra cost, which was really super helpful! The room was nice and spacious.
Cons: The room could have been better cleaned. There was quite some dust in places.
Hotel Kivitasku is located in Kaarina, 8 km from Turku. It offers free Wi-Fi, free public parking and 2 saunas. All rooms have cable TV and a tea/coffee maker. Guests can enjoy a free evening sauna from Monday to Thursday. Saunas can also be booked privately. Other facilities include a restaurant, a bar and a terrace. Kivitasku lies close to the archipelago coast and only 16 minutes’ drive from the ruins of the 14th-century Kuusisto Castle.
Pros: Room was super clean and the breakfast was very good for rhe money
Cons: Facilities were a bit run down and the hotel is very basic. Bed was extra firm.
Cons: Breakfast was really weak. No mineral water in the room. Other guests keeps their stinking shoes on the corridor.
Pros: Perfect place
Pros: - nice breakfast selection though they close a bit early (9 AM) - the location of the hotel makes it a good starting point for visiting the Turku achipelago
Cons: - Apart from the reception the public areas of the hotel (and our room) appeared essentially untouched since the time it was built in the eighties. As a consequence the furniture looks battered. - Only a tiny little window could be opened in our room which did not provide adequate ventilation in the current heatwave.
Set amid the waterways and countryside just 20 km from Turku, this site offers a variety of outdoor activities. Guests can enjoy fishing, canoeing and croquet, and free Wi-Fi is available. Rooms at Lyhdyn Tila are decorated in light neutral tones and cottages have pine-clad interiors. All accommodation comes with a TV, a private bathroom and a kitchen, as well as an outside terrace or balcony with sea views. BBQ facilities are free to use, while guests can also rent a seafront sauna, organise paintballing or take lessons in archery. Archipelagia golf course is just 20 km from Lyhdyn Tila. The village of Kaarina is just 12 minutes’ drive from the site, offering restaurants and shops. Turku Airport is 30 minutes away by car.
Pros: Lyhdyn Tila is located far away from hustle and bustle of the city, you can enjoy calm morning on a terrace observing nature around you. Everything was clean, the apartment was equipped with everything we needed. Communication was short, but efficient. Staff was helpful - the lady came immediately to solve our problem. WiFi was working smooth. Free parking on premises.
Cons: Those are rather small things, that we just want to mention. We would suggest to work a bit on a visitor manual - there is one, but we found it rather confusing. We would add an information how to work with air-conditioning for example (we had to ask for a help, it was solved quickly, but it would be handy to find it there). Flies - you are on a farm, what do you expect, of course, but that one fly woke me up multiple times. Flyswatter was available, but it was difficult to catch them all.
Pros: The apartment was new and cosy and the kitchen was equipped with everything necessary to make food. The balcony was very nice, but it was difficult to sit, eat or drink there because of flies. Swimming area is very near, but it is only for adults. But it is very nice beach with playground in Kaarina City.
Cons: Flies if you leave open the door of balcony which doesn't have fly screen on it. The beds are to small. Room needs a fan as you can't open the doors because of flies. Unfortunatelly, the host had a very loud party with her friend at 2 AM, so it was hard to sleep that night and I had to tell that to them :(
Pros: Location near by quite many golf courses was just great. Having privacy and being in the middle of Finnish countryside was amazing. Having small kichenette was good. Just remember to go to the store before going there. No breakfast served, but it was nice to enjoy our own breakfast on the sunny balcony:)
Pros: The cottage was very clean and cosy, ideal for a couple. the kitchen was equipped with everything necessary to make food (including dishes). The surrounding nature is very beautiful, close to a lake and to a forest
Cons: It doesn't seem that it is possible to get to the place other then by car. The water heater in the cottage is not big enough for two people to have shower one after the other, especially if some amount of hot water was already used to wash dishes.
Pros: A nice quiet place in a fairly remote spot. Our room was very spacious with a nice terrace with a view. Cleanliness was a plus. Peace and quiet.
Pros: Wonderful view from the terrace of the room. The suite was large and equipped with a nice terrace for outside seating. The room was very clean. The B&B has also a nice little sauna hut with a terrace on the lake / sea front - wonderful place for a BBQ & of course sauna.
Cons: All was like we initially expected.
Pros: It is a nice location, in the middle of nowhere, for relaxing and resting. The apartments are comfortable, very clean and new, with a clean kitchen. You have an excellent view on the lake, that can be appreciated in the apartment terrace. You can also rent for free a canoe for a trip around the lake.
Cons: The curtains cannot stop the light in the morning (as it is in many finnish hotels). There are many mosquitos. Sauna is not for free. No wifi in the apartment.
Pros: Wonderful location in the middle of nature. We were only passing by with our family of two adults and two small kids and stayed only one night, but could have stayed longer and will definitely come back if we happen to travel in the area. Room was spacious, cosy and impeccably clean.
Everything is close at hand at our modern hotel in the centre of Turku. In our atmospheric restaurant, conference guests as well as locals are sure to feel at home.
Pros: Bathroom was large, there was a shoe polisher in the hallway
Cons: Bed was too hard, shampoo dispenser empty, one coffee cup was unwashed, lighting was too cold.
Pros: The breakfast buffet was amazing! So many fresh breads, fruits, vegetables. The staff was always so helpful. My family was there because my husband was in the hospital and they helped me with so many details of our trip.
Pros: Good sized room. Location is right in the centre of the downtown shopping area but was still quiet. It's a short walk to the river and central attractions.
Cons: Facilities in the room were underwhelming - my main gripe was that there's no tea or coffee making set-up in the room. It seems to be aimed at the business, try somewhere else if you're looking for character.
Pros: The breakfast was very good. The location of the hotel is excellent. The room was good for the purpose of spending one short night there.
Cons: The front disk was slow, which is very common at hotels. Car park connected to the hotel was quite expensive.
Pros: Clean and nice rooms, clean bathroom, elevators with card access, very good and various breakfast.
Cons: Lot of people who are not the guests in the main hall. Hotel connected to mall center.
Hotel services in the centre of the Port of Turku. The hotel is in a good location, just a stones throw away from the park area of Turku Castle and the diverse and beautiful Aurajoki River shore, where it offers something for everyone. Delicious meals from breakfast to dinner can be conveniently enjoyed in our restaurant.
Pros: Good breakfast,
Cons: Internet is really bad
Pros: Very useful for ferry. Hotel staff is kind & friendly. There was not a kettle in our room, reception staff lent us the one gladly. But location is not close to city central. If you want to go city, you have to use bus.
Pros: The room was surprisingly quiet (considering it is next to harbour with big ferries). The room & bathroom were clean and bed comfortable.
Cons: In the shower, there was no place to put your soap, shampoo and other things. Please, add a small shelf into the shower corner.
Pros: The location was excellent if you travel from Stockholm by ferry. The hotel is just by the ferry arrival point and near to a train station from which you can catch the 08.10 train to Helsinki when you are ready to move on. If you take a different time train you would need to change trains in the centre of Turku. The hotel used to be a customs house and its outer appearance reflects this but the bedrooms are as nice as any you would find at other hotels in this price range. The hotel is just 10 minutes walk from Turku Castle and the river. A walk along the river to the centre takes about 20 to 30 minutes. There is a bus to the centre instead.
Cons: The breakfast was fine but the selection of food on offer otherwise was limited. In fact, probably because of the location, there was not much choice of places to eat in the evening or any shops. You would need to go further into town for that.
Pros: An interesting hotel. Neat and warm room. Comfortable bed. Location not in the city center, peace and quiet. In hot weather, lack of air conditioning and small windows on the 1st floor can be a nuisance.
Cons: We reported that we would arrive at the hotel after 1 am. Upon arrival, the hotel door was closed and no one answered the intercom. We had to make a phone call. Only then did someone come and let us in. A low-power hair dryer (1200W), which, if you have to dry long hair, is very bothersome, renting a 2000W hair dryer at the reception desk would be a nice convenience.
Pros: Breakfast was great !
Pros: Breakfast, shower and close to port with a bus stop to take you to town
Cons: No elevator
Offering a fitness centre and a private beach area, Meri-Karina is set in Turku, 8 km from Turku Castle. The hotel has a children's playground and terrace. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV. Some rooms feature a seating area to relax in after a busy day. There is a shared kitchen, a shared lounge, luggage storage space and hairdresser's at the property. Guests can relax in the bookable sauna, or take a swim in the swimming pool. Viking Line Terminal is 8 km from Meri-Karina, while Tallink Silja Terminal is 8 km from the property. Turku Airport is 16 km away.
Pros: Very friendly staff, comfy beds, great scenery , peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was small but good
Cons: Machine imitating bird noise was a little annoying when at the beach and sitting at the water
Pros: Meri Karina is not a classical hotel, it is more like a retreat centrum. The facilities are located in very nice location just near Baltic sea. Rooms are well equipped and clean, all basic facilities are there. Turku center can be reached by public bus which stops nearby.
Cons: The location is in very quiet place, there is no much cilization (restaurants, shops) around. It is some 8kms from Turku center.
Pros: Excellent location, breakfast was good, dinner was very reasonable for the price
Cons: The resort seems to cater for local people, doesn't seem to cater for anyone from England. The staff were very helpful, some had limited English but none of the notices around the resort were written in English.
Pros: The location was away from downtown, in a residential area. It was on the water with a stairway and dock and close to walking trails. It was very quiet. It appears to be a renovated seniors home or hospital, something that took me aback at first, and is now a spa facility. The breakfast was good but only coffee and bread are available on the weekend. There was lots of parking.
Cons: The bed was very soft.
Pros: Is located outside Turku town, very peacefull out in nature, next to river with sandy beach. However, our room did not have view to outside.
Cons: This Is a wing of revalidation home. Is an hospital concept. Nobody at reception. Key with code in a box. We had a room without exterior window. Only window to interior atrium. No oxygen in the room. Hospital smell.
Pros: The lake behind the hotel. It an retreat to escape from reality. Amazing location
Cons: No fridge in the room
A stay at Laivahostel S/S Bore places you in the heart of Turku, a 4-minute drive from Turku Castle and 7 minutes from Mikaelinkirkko. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. This hostel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good location only if you need to take the ferry to/from Stockholm coz it’s close to the station. Staff are nice and helpful. The bed is comfortable.
Cons: Toilet was smelly. Seems someone did use it right before and obviously not yet be cleaned. The room was cold though there’s heater. Kitchen only has microwave.
Pros: bed is comfortable
Cons: just one socket in my room
Pros: The location is almost perfect. My cabin was quite comfortable. Check-in and check-out without any problems.
Cons: 1) Breakfast was very poor and tasteless: the cheapest sliced cheese and ham, cooled boiled eggs, fake butter, fake juice... Normal was only coffee. 2) There is only one electrical outlet in the cabin (and it is occupied by a heater). 3) There is no cleaning (of course, I did not expect constant cleaning, but you can at least throw out garbage).
Pros: Very close to the port. Perfect sauna.
Pros: Breakfast good
Cons: Very cramped, no elevator
Pros: Nice breakfast.
Cons: We came to claim our room when the check-in had already started but they hadn’t even started making our room. Had to wait 30minutes to get our room. The rooms are suitable only for sleeping and the matresses are less than 10cm thick.
Pros: Well the place was very clean for sure. And as advertised the place was 'basic' - but I didn't really grasp before I arrived just how basic! Breakfast plentiful and basic. Set in lovely countryside with woods and fields.
Cons: Right - it's definitely a hostel, not a guest house (the website mentions it's both). Note carefully the policies too - check-in finishes at 5pm! I nearly came a cropper with this! The photographed rooms look basic but have cheery colours in the curtains and rugs - mine was utterly plain and rugless. It's really a sort of 1970s campus site spread around a field with dozens of room clusters, whereby 4 twin rooms share a joined living space with a kitchen with some wooden chairs and tables and TV, 2 toilets and a shower (fortunately only 3 people including me were sharing the night I stayed). There are NO comforts - very very basic! And as there are no carpets or soft furnishings to swallow the sound every noise in the place echos - footsteps, toilet flushing, doors closing. Don't think of taking a taxi there from Turku (which I had to to meet the check-in time) - it costs 50 euros. A bus is only 3 euros and the stop is right outside the hostel. Finally, for all this I paid 85 euros for the night - well over-priced!
Cons: We thought it is really a 3-star hotel but it was a 1-star hostel!!! As soon as we saw the place we preferred not to stay there, First it was a sort of problem to find the place as the reception is too far from the place of stay, Then, when after 20-minute circling and finding the object at last, it appeared it is maybe good for students - but not for that price of course, The toilets are in the common corridor far away from the rooms, The showers - the same thing, No facilities, only really basic ones which does not correspond to the description, We were really furious (not angry!!!) and refused to put our feet there, We asked at the reception for the refund - the lady was very polite but could do nothing as the reservation had been made via BOOKING,com, BOOKING,com emailed me a question why we had not stayed - I answered it was bad and not adequate, They promised to contact us - and for several days silence, Neither contact nor money - 140 euros! I could pay maybe 20-25 euros but not 70 per room! The description does not correspond the real state of things.
Pros: Breakfast and lunch were excellent, staff was nice and helpful. Surrounding are very good specially when travelling with dogs.
