Directions to get to the hotel and car park
the restaurant staff on wed and thur nite......a pleasue The breakfast manager on my last day friday, very loud and in your face, everyone at breakfast was made aware of the room i had booked and that it did not include breakfast when in actual fact i had booked room and breakfast.....
Although the Key cutting system was down when we arrived, the staff were excellent in their handling of the situation. We were the only ones in the leisure area, the jacuzzi was not working and the steam room and sauna shut down while we were there but it was no big deal. The Restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent and good value for money with full Dinner and a bottle of wine for €65.00 for 2. Other 5 stars should take note.
Our room was upgraded to a suite after arriving at two o'clock and our room was not ready.
The staff were very helpful. The room was stylish very quiet & peaceful. The changing area in the gym was not very clean but this was understandable as there was works being carried out.
Hallway smelled like urine. Bathroom smelled like mold and was filthy. Tiny room. Tiny TV. Terrible Wifi.
The hotel is centrally located. Our reservation appeared to have been lost and, when finally found, we had been placed in a smoking room despite our non-smoking request. The reception staff quickly swapped us to a new room. Parking is an issue before 6 pm, and it should be noted on the website that parking is only available after a set time. We luckily got one of the parks in the building, but this was not initially offered. Our room was very noisy!
Very comfortable, quiet and spacious The main door entrance is not comfortable for people carrying or dragging luggage
Clean and cozy, good value.
lovely friendly staff, free parking and very central for shopping. great value its a good basic hotel for what you pay for.
the location of hotel was great. Just a few steps from the centre, actually it was in the downtown. small room.
Location, standard of room. The only negative was the issue with the car park. On arrival, we went into the car park to see the only available space was taken uver by the car in the space next to it. I went to check in and queried the car taking 2 spaces...I was told by the receptionist that as there was a function on that night those guests had priority and the space was being reserved for them. She then told us we had to leave the car park and move to Harveys Quay...which meant going all around town again. The staff we met on arrival were not welcoming or helpful and it seemed that we were an inconvenience.
nice room and comfort did not like haveing to pay for parking in the hotel
It was a rugby weekend and the hotel adapted itself to it's clientele showing all the matches. There was also a wedding reception were well able to cater for both sets of visitors with ease.
It was very central and the staff were very friendly. The air conditioning was turned on in the dining room which rendered it extremly cold on the night we stayed. The waitress informed me that it would take 1 hour in order for the room to heat up she did however move us to a different table hoping it would not be so cold. Unfortunately it was and I subsequently developed a head cold from the dining experience.
Very clean hotel with welcoming staff. The hotel is located very close to the city centre. The main street (O'Connell Street) is about a 3 minute walk. For a night out, Denmark Street is only 5 minutes walk. The leisure facilities are also excellent. The restaurant is a bit pricey and you will have to pay for 7euro per day for hotel parking. Fortunately street parking is available in the area for free on weekends.
Closeness to City Centre and relaxed atmosphere of Hotel Breakfast seriously overpriced.
room was perfect and restraunt service and food was excellant staff member durning check in unfriendly and abrupt
friendly, informative and helpful staff, comfortable beds, excellent loacation, spa facalities were lovely as was pool area, good dinner, option to prolong checkout on the sunday for a small charge, lovely interieor,we had wine glasses and bucket in the room which was a nice touch, nice bathroom and good size,we stayed in a triple room and everything was perfect-highly recommend the hotel was a little hard to find(from the cork side)we could see the hotel but took a while to figure out how to get over the bridge so maybe a few additional signs for the hotel would be helpful, other than that no complaints!
Music comming from a late night party very loud
Bartenders were amazing! Front staff was great too, but we were disappointed that they didnt at least offer us a free dessert/breakfast/something when the air in our second room broke during one of the hotter days that they have had. Made sleeping pretty difficult. They did bring us a fan, but that just circulated warm stuffy air. While the service, staff and hotel cleanliness were all first rate, little things like a clogged shower (we had to take military showers to avoid an overflow), running toilet and broken a/c unit in one of our two rooms prevent us from giving them 5 stars.
Ambience of the lobby and rooms Lighting too poor in rooms to try and do work - particularly on PC
the hotel was in a great location for what we wanted it was very high spec and had all facilities The hotel would not serve me a liquor coffee at 10pm in the evening as they said they did not have any hot coffee!!!!!!!!
Facilities and location. no.
Room was spacious and there was a separate sitting area. Glass bathroom door right next to the bed.Shower didn't drain well. Beds uncomfortable. Not enough parking.
Everything was first class.
The staff were friendly. The facilities were new. The treatments on offer at the day spa were impressive. An affordable taste of luxury. The floor in the bathroom became a bit slippery after showering.
Breakfast could be improved
rooms were very modern. breakfast lovely in the resterant overlooking the river a little noisey during the night, some sort of party or wedding
Hotel is in a good location and it is lovely. The room we stayed in was very spacious. However on the down side checkout is very early. 11 on a Saturday. They came knocking on our door was we were told that we would be charged if we didn't vacate the room in 15mins. They turned off the electricty supply to our room so we had to shower and change in the dark!!!! I travel a lot and this was the first time that I experienced this.
The hotel was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay there. We will definately go back to stay again in the future.
Very central, clean, nice staff, nice food!
Hotel was really nice and the room was the nicest and cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was good too.
The meal in the bar was very good. No WI-FI in room so had to go to reception to work. The pillows were very hard.
The car parking facility was not great because even though it was not expensive anything other then a 24 hour car park is not much good for a hotel when you have to leave early in the morning, I nearly missed my flight because the car park didn't open until 7.30am! The room I was in was good but it was right across the road from a very noisey bar so I got no sleep until about 1am!
Location. Staff were very friendly. The cost was very good. Shower poor. Bed not very comfortable. The room was very dark a small window. Some outside noise.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was very clean The bed and shower were small
I had a great stay. The hotel is in an excellent location if you want to enjoy the nightlife. The staff was incredibly friendly and the room was clean and mostly comfortable. Because it's centrally located and close to the pubs there is a decent amount of street noise since you'll have to keep your window open. This didn't bother me because my own home has a similar situation, but those looking for quiet might not like it. Also the shower is a bit tiny. It was fine for me but larger people might have troubles. Lastly, it was a very hot day which made the room very warm. Not great air flow, so something to keep in mind if you're traveling in the summer.
It was very central. The beds have to be the woret i have ever slept on.
Location - and was dirt cheap- saved on taxi's and nxt to pubs and shops ! Stairs - big bag and 2 flights of stairs dont mix
Staff friendly, excellent location, fab breakfast, easy atmosphere
As some review says, the hotel is small but supply everything I need. And it is quite clean. The location is convenient.
The welcome was very warm, beautiful young woman on front desk. The hotel decor surprises, very Italianate, more Venice than Limerick, a lot of red and black in halls, my room was done in tasteful blues and creams. The front of the hotel gives no idea and the reception area is very modest, so as you go upstairs to the rooms the effect is striking. A painting series on the landings of a couple embracing creates a romantic effect I liked very much and immediately wished I had a partner with me! Some rooms looked spectacular, large inviting beds and spacious seating areas, all with the same sensuous Italianate decor. All looked comfortable. The breakfast area overlooks the street so you can watch Limerick waking up. The Full Irish was huge! There are some pubs nearby and so you can expect the usual propensity of young Irishmen and women to end the evening by shouting inarticulately and meaninglessly at each other (some Irish traditions will never die!) - it's a very primitive and no doubt meaningful form of communication for them but provides a sad irritation for anyone else. I was staying midweek and it was not so bad. But you have been warned!
the breakfast and location the noise from the bar and no towel rail in bathroom
Proximity to city centre. Sheets on the bed instead of a duvet.
