Cons: Owners didn’t even greet us in person. We arrived at 8pm and left at 8am and never saw anyone. Had
Pros: Clean friendly convienent
Cons: Great location to SLU. Delicious home made breakfast. Welcoming hosts
Pros: Everything!! Exceeded my expectations. I can only hope that my experience at this Bed and Breakfast is indicative of how other B & Bs be, should I travel to a different location.
Pros: Breakfast was delicious - gourmet whole foods & organic. Room itself and the bed and breakfast building was clean and beautiful. The hosts made us feel welcome and were gracious. Great unexpected find.
Cons: Everything was great - the room itself was a little noisy -above the kitchen (if you are a late sleeper - you may want to request another room) - maybe a little soundproofing on the door to the stairwell would help. But this was not a major problem.
Pros: Beds were comfy.
Cons: More communication and instruction as to what we could and couldn't use in the house. More info on the breakfast, and check out procedures. Also the room was very musty smelling.
Pros: The homemade breakfast was the best I've ever had. The view was exquisite. All the rooms were gorgeous and very unique. The room and bathroom were both very clean.
Pros: Beautiful view and nice comfortable bed. Adorable room.
Pros: Our stay was brief, but the property was great! Immaculate, comfortable and a wonderful, place to stay! Owners were accommodating and perfect!
Cons: Nothing , all was good!
Pros: The Inn is absolutely beautiful with a quiet atmosphere to it. Liked how they had games, DVDs and books available for use.
Cons: The cost was a bit high considering all we used was the one room. Didn't know anything about getting breakfast.

Pros: Facility is in very good shape, in a picturesque setting and staff is great; accommodating but not stifling. I am not a big on-site diner, but on-site restaurant was good and convenient. Jacuzzi was great!
Cons: Ceiling needs some attention/patching.
Pros: Restaurant was perfect.
Cons: Pillows on beds were fair
Pros: The view from the back was beautiful. The lawn sloped right down to the water. Everything was very clean. The complimentary breakfast was quite good and served on real china with silverware. We appreciated their efforts to help the environment this way, and it made our experience more elegant.
Cons: There was a problem with the air conditioning and fan, it blew a circuit breaker and the power went out. The sheets were quite scratchy.
Pros: Upon checkin we only had reservations for a regular queen room. They were almost completely booked, but the clerk was able to upgrade us to a river-side balcony room at no cost. The room was clean and the free breakfast was actually very good. A++
Cons: No fault of the hotel, but cell service is horrid. Bounces off Canadian towers.
Cons: Room was next to ice machine, very noisy
Pros: Warm, friendly welcome.
Pros: The view and quiet/peaceful surroundings. I liked the coffee stations located in our room building available all day. Free late check out.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better tasting and lasted later.
Cons: I booked because of the restaurant only to find out it was closed on Sunday. Pretty much ruined what I was looking to get out of our stay as we were only here one night.
Pros: The room was perfectly clean, the bed was good, the restaurant was excellent,
Cons: The breakfast was not good. It was too limited and not particualrly good, which in light of the superb restaurant was surprising
Pros: Balcony overlooking St Lawrence River. King bed, spacious and super clean! Coffee in room and in lobby 24 hrs! Will definitely stay again!
Cons: We couldn't stay for the breakfast.
Pros: Location, clean, great river view, and price
Cons: The toilet would not flush, they forgot to provide any soap/shampoo etc, and the heater constantly ran thus forcing us to open the door to attempt to cool the room in upstate NY nearing December.
Cons: Room key system needs updating. It is MUCH too sensitive to anything metal/magnetic. I had to go back to office almost every time I wanted to enter my room! I said metal because was told at desk that my car seat belt could demagnetize my key!,

Pros: The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Pros: Friendly staff
Pros: Pool, gym, restaurant, bar, and golf course all right there!
Cons: Prices are a little high, especially when adding second person, no break, they just double the price!
Pros: Pool and hot tub
Cons: Be nice if pool was open a little longer. Often when visiting you don’t get back till 9 or 10pm
Pros: Clean and comfortable rooms, good value for the money and beautiful property
Pros: Pool and hot tub were great.
Cons: That breakfast wasn’t included
Pros: The front desk staff and manager are very friendly and are willing to go above and beyond to assist you.
Pros: The lounge
Cons: You could hear everything in the hallways and rooms need to be updated
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful
Cons: This is an older property but the room was nice
Pros: Stay was only one night so I did not get to walk around the neighborhood per se except for having gone to a nearby supermarket. I was already spent from the long drive from New York and the following day was scheduled for a College tour with my son, so I opted to stay in until check out time the following morning. However I did visit the fitness center and the pool and was especially very much impressed with those two areas...definitely value for money spent. My son was very impressed with the pool and gym also and decided on taking a swim later on in the evening. The place overall is great; service, cleanliness, location...no regrets in spite of the short stay. We will be visiting again very soon for my son's College orientation and will be staying a few more days this time! Oh, the beds were very full and comfortable also; a huge plus after a very long drive. Kudos to BW's management and staff...Great job!!!
Pros: Location was great. Beds were comfortable. Pool and spa were great.
Cons: Needed to ask for toilet paper. Upon arrival there was only a quarter of a roll left for four people. This was ok for the first night. Second day had to ask for that along with bath towels. I had indicated that there would be four people in the room. Not enough towels on the first night for four. I hate having to ask for items that should already be there.
Located in Ogdensburg, The Stonefence Resort is on the waterfront, within a 15-minute drive of Frederic Remington Art Museum and Black Lake. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and coffee/tea in a common area. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
Pros: Staff was amazing. Very accommodating. Even helped me get a cab to the airport the night before I left. Very comfortable place on the St. Lawrence river.
Cons: There were no rental cars in the area. Nothing to do with the resort but that was an inconvenience.
Pros: Waterfront rooms are very very roomy and actually on the waterfront with easy access to the docks, beach chairs, and gazebo on the water as well as screened-in gazebo on land. The empty ice chest was INSTANTLY filled and with a special delivery to the room. Very friendly staff and by far the best free breakfast of any hotel ever. Every item for breakfast was made from scratch - pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, biscuits with gravy, plus many more items. This would be a great place for big families or a bunch of friends to meet and stay.
Pros: the breakfast was very nice, a lot of choices.
Cons: I would have liked a darkening curtain in room 403
Pros: The staff were friendly, the view by the water was superb/calming, the room was quite comfy
Cons: Reduce salt in some of the cooking, the scrambled eggs was the best, the salt was great!
Pros: The staff was really super friendly and accommodating.
Cons: The water pressure in the shower was terrible.
Pros: Ample amounts and variety of foods
Cons: Interior was dated and the walls are very thin
Pros: The breakfast was wonderful. The staff helpful. The room fit our needs exactly.
Cons: Wi-Fi didn't work.
Pros: The staff was cordial and helpful. The location on the Saint Lawrence river was lovely and outdoor spaces were adequately maintained. An ample breakfast was served in a light and airy room facing the river. Rooms had comfortable beds and river view porches.
Cons: In both the rooms and the common spaces, furnishings and hardware were outdated, worn, and not all functional (lights didn't work, tub faucet was leaky, shower head old and weak). The room was large but dank and dark. The kitchenette was sparsely equipped and not convincingly clean. Heating/Cooling was loud and outdated. The breakfast was heavy on rich food and didn't offer sufficient healthy options. Despite the large kitchen, insufficient staffing meant that rather than serving on regular dishes, the dining room used plastic cutlery and dish-ware. Along with the mediocre condition of room furnishings and hardware, this reliance on non-biodegradable plastics instead of a dishwasher was shocking given the price. The overall impression was that, given it's high price and size, the inn was grossly understaffed and poorly maintained.
Pros: Staff was helpful
Pros: Beautiful view. Upgraded to huge room for free. Staff very helpful. Beautiful facility.
Cons: Room could have been cleaner. Breakfast was gross.
Pros: Very personable staff, very nice townhouse
Pros: It could have used a little more in the maintenance area, a broken blind was in the bathroom and it had a slight musty smell upon arrival. The bed was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic!
Cons: Broke blind in bathroom

Pros: The bed was very comfy. The staff was friendly and very accommodating.
Cons: The parking lot was under construction which made it a little difficult.
Pros: We just grabbed a few things at the last minute - I was happy that I could just take what we wanted up to our room.
Cons: I only wish the pool was working, and the parking lot was finished, but there was no inconvenience regarding either situation.
Pros: Recent renovations have made the rooms beautiful. Bathroom was great, huge tub/shower. Wi fi was free and fast. Staff was great
Pros: clean friendly bright!
Cons: We picked this location specifically for the pool and when we arrived the pool was closed, very disappointing.
Pros: Was surprised by ho good the breakfast was. I expected muggiest s and fruit but not omelets and sausages and a pancake making machine. Pretty cool. Room was tidy and lighting was calming. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Coffee in room a nice touch. Rooms were very quiet, but maybe nobody was next to us.
Cons: WiFi kept logging out and we had to keep logging back in
Pros: It felt like a brand new hotel which was nice. Definitely a step up for the North Country. Brand new beds very comfortable. Tons of outlets. Staff was friendly, nice area for sitting down and having breakfast. Speaking of breakfast the kids love the automatic pancake machine.
Cons: This may sound snarky, but the egg white veggie omelet was easily the worst thing I have ever eaten in my life, it was that bad and memorable. The hot food items weren’t cooked great, fortunately there was a reasonable selection of breads, cereals, cold items. The fitness center isn’t really a fitness center. It’s a small workout room with three machines, poorly working monitors. If it’s nice out, do yourself a favor and go outside. Swimming pool was closed.
Pros: really nice beds, extra large room, could have fit a couch, the hotel is newly renovated, they have an automated pancake machine!
Cons: They play music in the parking lot that I could hear all night.
Pros: I liked the overall setup of the room. I was very satisfied.
Cons: I felt like the price was a bit too steep for a 2 day stay.
Pros: Breakfast and staff were good, rooms were updated and nice.
Cons: The pool is advertised and has beautiful pictures online, but was very disappointed that the glass was papered over and said out of order. After talking with other people at our event and local contractors at our event we were told that the pool hasn't worked in quite sometime and had issues from day one. we went to a friends hotel down the road and swam with them instead next time we will have to stay at there hotel I guess. A little false advertising I guess.
Pros: Location Beds and bedding were clean. On a negative note . . . The hotel's website listed the pool as CLOSED due to construction and/or maintenance, however upon our arrival,it was open and people were swimming. The fitness area was closed for repair, etc.
Cons: Rugs throughout the hotel definitely need upgrading. Dirty appearance, odor, etc.and years of wear that cannot be masked with deodorizer. We would not walk around the room with socks on our feet for fear of (?) whatever is living on/in them.Hotels website
Pros: nothing, but the location
Cons: Yes. It was in terrible disrepair. Would not rate this a 3 star hotel. The parking lot was run down, landscape was neglected and the whole place was very tired and dirty.
