Near most places you want to go to, but still quiet. Room small, but very comfortable and a great value.
The location is excellent and the room was clean and quiet. The bed was not comfortable. The front desk staff was not very friendly or helpful.
Easy access to the City. Staff very friendly ,especially 24 hr restaurant
Location right in the center, close to public transportation, nice breakfast, very friendly staff, very tasteful design of the lobby and breakfast room
Fantastic location with amazing views from the rooftop bar.
The hotelroom was quiet and the staff was always very polite and willing to help. The reception is rather small for a large hotel like Mundial. The staff is trying hard, but logistics still might be improved a bit.
Very pure breakfast .
Location, right in the heart of the city. We got a real feel for Lisbon.
Parking free . Lucky i was internet was free , usualy you pay fortune!!! All was best you can get . Breakfast egg and sosages were cold Fairly nothing
I think that the staff is wonderful and the accomadations are perfect.
Location. Hotel convenient to Metro and excellent access to several excursions for tourist.
Good location, courteous and helpful front desk staff Veranda do Lisboa restaurant was overrated and some of the staff somewhat less than helpful
Amazing property--gorgeously-restored old palatial home. Every public space was exquisite, Loaded with charm. The staff could not have been more gracious and helpful, and gave us all the attention we asked for. The bathroom in our room lacked privacy. Didn't care for art over the bed.
They had the baby crib, yummy cookies, and port wine waiting for us when we arrived. the receptionist helped us find our way to the castle and recommended a great restaurant nearby that had a lovely view. The taxi to the hotel from the lisbon airport was 9.30 euros. Bring a baby backpack because strollers are no good on the streets.
The upgrade, the welcome Champagne, the cookies,...the morning breakfast was excellent. For a four stars hotel, I would appreciate that we get help to open the door and carry the suitcases other than that everything was great.
walking tour of the old part of lisbobn
The staff is very nice and helpful. Although there is free wireless, it isn't very fast.
Beautiful hotel and room. Good location. Car parking availbale. Other hotels of comparable quality have PC`s and internet in rooms or in common area.
The breakfast was excellent and the hotel was nice and quiet to stay with a child, the way from the town centre was difficult to figure out, because there were small lanes and streets crossing in very unbelievable way. For old people and people with disabilities the way is difficult to walk, because there are little hills and round stones on the streets
minor problem over service at breakfast
It was so clean and the location was so beautiful. The pillows!
the room was very comfortable and we had a lot of space. the view was nice. we could walk to most places we wanted to go to. the reception was very helpful in providing concierge service. one of the receptionists made a restaurant reservation 90 minutes later than we had requested; thus we had some inconvenience when we arrived at the restaurant.
We loved the area the hotel was situated in and the views from the hotel were attractive.
Very welcoming staff and helpful
intimate, quaint, friendlyness of staff Limited access due to location.
I like the courtesy of the staff. Hotel is located in a beautiful area of Lisbon.I would recomend it to all people who would like to be in the vecinity of Alfama and the Castle of San Jorge No complains. Only that the hotel was a little bit overpriced for the services offered.
Le cadre est fantastique; à la fois dans la vielle ville et dans le château. Le personnel est très chaleureux et sympathique. On a vraiment l'impression d'être chez soi. Le Buffet du petit déjeuner est généreux... avec des pâtisseries locales.
Excellent touristic situation. Free WiFi and Port wine. Room could have been a little bit bigger for the price.
Fabulous setting in the walls of the old castelo - a superb, quirky hotel that is just great for thiose who wish to stay somewhere a bit different 2 different taxi drivers did not know their way to the hotel and had to ask directions to find it
spirit of the city not so comfortable to carry luggage with there stairs
We really appreciated the location and the esthetic of the hotel. The hotel is very quiet and small, wheich makes you feel you are in an exclusive place. The staff helped us to find a suitable parking space for the night and collected us and our luggage. This was very much appreciated. However, despite the fact that the hotel was far from being full we were given a tiny room with a tiny bathroom which was not very practical for my wife who is 7 months pregnant... It rained that night and the noise from the roof was very strong and could not really sleep. A room upgrade would have been the right way to make us want to go again.
The Hotel has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. It's quiet and comfortable and the staff do their utmost to make you feel at home.
The location is excellent. In the historic part of town, and near tram lines. The breakfast was not worth the cost.
Lack of the lift (I have stayed on 5th floor)
excellent location close to Alfama, nice decoration of rooms with paintings from the owner, and friendly staff, speaking French and English and helping you feel at home; small bathroom
The location is quite central and there is a nice view of the river. The staff was not able to get a taxi for the airport, I seriously risked to miss the flight. Apparently, they did not realise how much this problem was dramatic for the customer.
Silence, privaty, vew of the city, location near beautyful Alfama district, e[otic and unusual room assambly. clamping by the staires and toilet on the second floor.
the rooms were lovely decor.but breakfast not value for money the location hard to find by some taxi men
The room, the view and the staff was more than excellent. It's a romantic little hotel in the heart of alfarma.
Make sure to book the room with the balcony on the top floor! --
Good location, friendly staff. Steep hilly roads locally
It was in a very good location for seeing all the Lisbon sights, and an imaginative renovation of an old townhouse Got woken up at 6 am by the trams, so found it a rather tiring break
Easy to find sentral places and shopping.
Very helpful hotel staff and great location walking distance of central pedestrian area in Lisbon. Hotel has a 18Euro per day deal with a parking garage so driving your car is definetely an option. rooms on the outside are right on a trolleyline and can be noisy starting about 0630
We liked the proximity to the town centre, the friendly helpfulness of the staff, who all spoke excellent English, the decor of the hotel is interesting and really could not fault anything about the hotel.
Good value for money hotel in a great spot downtown. Central to everything and very close to metro station. Wifi internet doesn't work in all rooms. Breakfast had limited options and not great. A little noisy but not a big issue.
The location was excellent for what we wanted. The hotel staff was very helpful and made our stay enjoyable.
Interesting hotel with attractive rooms in a very convenient location. The staff are very helpful and a good breakfast is offered in an attractive room. We recommend it.
the position not very clean
Its location Its colour scheme was somewhat startling
Staff were great - beakfast was good Room 101 with awful view from window, tempremental lighting and faded decoration
brekfest room was very narrow, I had to wait for free table.
The desk clerk was extremely helpful in dealing with the car hire company (Sixt) who were unable to collect the car at the appointed time - he moved it twice in the six hours which elapsed before they came (didn't stop it getting clamped though!). The room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast room was an organizational shambles, quite inadequate for the number of people there, and the staff were distinctly unhelpful about running out of milk. A very poor breakfast experience.
Fantastic location in the middle of touristic Lisbon - a few metres from the Castle, a few metres from the shopping area and very good for trams to Belem etc. Extremely friendly staff, very clean room, plenty for breakfast. Just wish the lift started on the ground floor.
The central location The coffee served during breakfast was terrible, this resulted in that we went out to a nearby coffee shop for breakfast one of the mornings
The location was great. We could walk to most of the sites and it was only a block to the main square to catch transportation to every place else and getting to and from the airport was easy. The hotel was very clean and the room was large for European standards. The bathroom was very large and I really liked that it had a separate stand to keep toiletries on. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast didn't start until 7 so the day we left for the airport we couldn't eat.
The hotel was convenient for the old city. Breakfast was good value. Steep stairs for one flight until elevator available.
location, price, friendlyness of staff rather small rooms
Central location, view of the castle from the room.
very close to the center too much noise in the halls in the mornings
Very good location
Very good location and helpful kind staff. Beds were terrible; shower broken and breakfast was awful.
The location was fantastic. It was close to local transportation, shopping and sights as well as restaurants. The prostitutes outside did not cause a problem for me. Breakfast was good. My bathroom had a terrible odor!!! I am not sure what it was and it never got better. When I asked for assistance, a can of air freshener was left in the bathroom. It did not imporve the situation.
Great views and service
The view from the room and breakfast room was excellent. No.
views, close to restaurants, close to transport tiny elevator
We had a room with a balcony and a view over the city to the sea. It was lovely.
The view, the degree of cleanliness, location.
Wonderful view. Relaxed. Friendly staff. Room was a bit small
The vistas over the city from our room and balcony plus the superb views from the breakfast room cannot be beaten at the price. The views came at a price. The hill to the hotel entrance was daunting after a night on the town. A taxi helps.
Excellent location! Perfect view of Lisbon!! Helpful staff when changing room due to noise. First room smelly bathroom and noise from top floor breakfast room
the view, very nice, We did not have a safe in the room, a bit noisy on the hall in the morning,
comfort , view , location swimming pool
Central location, very close metro station . Parking facilities. Hotel staff speaks english 24 hours. It's good economical choise. Short breakfast time. We had 3 nights inn and would like to have wider breakfast's meniu. It was necessary to pay for internet.
It was close to the METRO and only a 15-20 minutes walk from the center. The historis tram No. 28 is also very close. For breakfast there was not much choice.
Th location was good. Only few minutes walk to the closest metrostation and also walking distance from the city centre. The price was really suitable for citytravelling when the main purpose is to sleep, change clothes and have breakfast in a safe place. . Service was OK, not overwhelming like in some hotels. Basic needs were met. They advertise buffet-breakfast but if is was that kind then it was a little bit poor.
The price / quality was good Dark place.
The staff is very friendly and gave us several nice tips. It's one block away from the metro and a main avenue where there are busses and trams. The breakfast is very good too.
free garage, concierge/reception extremly helpful,metro/tram nearby outskitrs is not really nice...,breakfast is poor
wireless local area network (wlan) strange smell in from bathrooms & diversity of the breakfast buffet
The recepcionist was full of information on what to see, gave us the map of the city and advised us on the transport system! He was so kind!
Close to metro and modest price
location very good for city centre plus transport links good value for cheap accommodation breakfast basic but adequate for price of 32 euro par night that i paid
The location The noise of the tram
The staff was very friendly and the location is perfect. Needs some restauration and the breakfast could be even a little more variable.
Close to everything in the historic district. Easy bus transportation as well. Tv was iffy with bad reception but otherxise everything was clean and comfortable.
Located in a great position! ( Rossio) Very closed to Bairro Alto (night life). It's perfect to visit the city by walk and at the same time it is just few steps away the main transports. Staff is helpful and kind. Breakfast is a bit poor but quite good. The facade of the hotel was under renovation.
Hotel is rather old and needs further improvement on facilities.
