The friendly and positive nature of the staff, particularly at reception. Nothing at all.
it was comfy and convient for getting in to the town
I liked the availabilty of the health club facilities, the decor and it was easy to get in to the city centre using public transport Nothing - all good.
Beautiful Art Deco refurbishment, attention to detail was outstanding. Excellent breakfast and all staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Only £11 for a taxi back from the Albert Dock too (considering how much we saved on the room rate compared to central hotels we were delighted!) Will use same hotel again.
friendly staff near to airport, free courtesy bus, good food! Would use again drinks a bit pricey
conveience to the airport
The staff were perfect we were made feel really welcome.
Friendly staff, very confortable stay
hotel very well presented and staff very helpful
The hotel was developed within the Albert Dock, a historic warehouse complex, as a result the rooms were not standard, and used the features of the old warehouse ie barrel ceilings, original brickwork etc.
Staff were pleasant and price and location were good, nice large room overlooking the dock, having stayed at 2 other big hotels this one was the best, would definately book again I booked bed and breakfast - but was told it was room only other than that the hotel was fine
The attitude of the staff, the quality of the breakfast and the location in the Albert Dock. Thought it ws a little overpriced for a supposedly budget hotel. They were painting and decorating the reception area at the main time of check out which was not very convenient.
The cleanliness was the best I have ever seen.the staff sorted out our problem immediately as below and refunded us without any hassle . only the 2nd night a girl said the wind was not her problem which I did not think was very professional Being put in a room that is known to be next to the air conditioning generator (401)and keeps you awake.moving us to a room with a broken window seal on the night of the hurricane
Friendly, helpful staff; good position of hotel; good breakfast; large comfortable room None
Central, clean, value for money Light bulb missing in bedside light, heating unit not 100%
The room was not very warm
I like the location. The Albert Docks is lovely Temperature of the room kind of cold
huge room, high ceilings The hotel is based in a very busy night time area and it does not have soundproofing. The nightclub booming out until 5am meant that we didn't get any sleep. For a quiet night you need rooms 1 and 2.
The room was gorgeous: huge and comfortable, if a little poorly maintained (lightbulbs out, curtain coming down from window) The area was very, very noisy till 2am, even on a Sunday. The wi-fi wasn't working, and staff - who were bar staff, not really hotel staff - didn't even know what it was. The restaurant and members bar was closed when I stayed, so had to go out in rain to eat. This is a great hotel for clubbers, central and great for a 'back to mine' after hours, but not for business - sadly, I was on a business trip.
I loved the decor of the hotel, funky and modern and the staff were friendly and very accomadating to us. The location is excellent with all the shopping and pubs on your doorstep. The only thing was that our room was at the back of the hotel which looked out onto part of the pub and niteclub scene of the city and was a bit loud especially over the weekend.
Mr Rogers liked where it was situated with nice restaurants close by and thought the accomodation was very good. He has recommended it to our team and will stay again on his next visit.

breakfast was good and pleasant surroundings whilst eating. maybe the stairways/corridors could be brought up to a better standard, felt a bit dirty when walking through, decor tired carpets etc.
the staff, breakfast,& location the bed was uncomfortable
I have stayed here before and went back because we knew it was goog value. Only a 10 minute walk to liverpool one and all the shops. We were able to come back in the evening and relax in the nice bar area lookin out at the mersey. A lovely few days away. There was a lot of noise during the night from a group of friends fighting. Though this was not the fault of the dolby and they did apologise in the morning.
good value and convenient location
we were able to walk to closeby attractions of the city of liverpool n/a
Clean smart hotel, cheap as chips, yet good value, didnt have much time 2 stay and sample much else,as we arrived late and departed early, due to early morning flight, but overall a nice wee hotel in a handy enough location for seeing the fine city of Liverpool Nothing
location and access unfortunately too much noise at 3.45 AM
The view of the dock and the fact that breakfast was optional and reasonable
The amazing helpful and friendley staff. Wierd bathroom
Didn't spend much time there, but the staff was helpful and nice, the beds were comfortable and their scrambeled eggs perfect! The space in the dining room was a bit too small,- it was difficult to get seated at the table in the morning.
Great little hotel, well situated for shopping and sights and very close to Lime Street Station.Reserved a double room but were given the The Studio which would have been perfect for a family with 1 double, 1 single and a sofa bed very spacious and with a lovely bathroom. Excellent value, spotlessly clean and good breakfast included.
it's a traditional english inn but surprisingly it is very very clean and comfy eventhough the room is a bit small and cramped. the toilet looks quite new and clean. the breakfast is very nice.
The central position Hotel was cramped, both rooms and dining room
Room had a lot of extras which was good to see. Renovations taking place at the time. No electricty in the room on a couple of occasions! Better option would have been to close until work completed. Room was cramped and decor looked tired and worn, needed updating. Would not recommend until work completed.
friendly staff, great location, character no lift
The location was perfect for the occassion which was to see art in the Liverpool Biennial and to visit tourist attractions such as the museums at Albert Dock. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming and the included breakfast was generous. The checkout time of 10.30 am seemed a bit tight, though they were good about us leaving our bags.
shower room excellent. Breakfast food, cutlery and service excellent. Double bed uncomfortable and small.
fast wireless internet, good breakfast, some rooms have been renowated and look really up-to-date quite noisy in the room, only 5 TV channels,
The rooms were fairly large and the entire hotel was reasonably comfortable---more like a large B and B than a business hotel The hotel was overpriced
Very good for City center & ALbert Dock. Good free phone service for taxis. Good food and bar service
The hotel is very central for shopping and the night life , the cavern club is only 150 metres away . with the hotel situated down a side street with no pubs or clubs it is very quiet on a night. The hotel was perfect for a city break.
Not far from centre and great value for money
Close to all amenities in Liverpool City Centre none
it was very peaceful in the night we were on the top floor this may have helped, we had very comfortable nights sleep. all fine.
location, price a bit noisy, above all in rooms 8 to 14
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere.
friendliness not really
The hotel was very central, the staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean and comfortable and the food was good.
Family friendly, good size bedroom, clean The room was pretty cold, possibly the heater was not working fully
we loved the design of the building and the furnitures, and is amazing go downstairs and have something to drink and live stage set. beatiful! just they may have more care in the room cleaning
Sharon on reception was lovely, she couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was excellent and good value at £6 all in. The location is brilliant for a shopping trip. There was noise from a local club until 4.30 am on Saturday night. It wasn't loud and most people would probably sleep through it, but it kept me awake.
Welcoming and freindly staff. Good breakfast. Good bar/club in the basement.
It was more like staying in an up market funky apartment as apposed to a hotel it was great The lift, very old fashioned and very noisy to guests
I loved the rooms. Very stylish and cosy! I did not like the noise. One of the noisiest hotels i have ever stayed in. I normally dont mind noise all that much but between loud music (which actually wasnt that bad probably because of our room location) the shouting on the street at 3am and the work on the street from 8am.
Room was very clean and comfortable and central At times the noise was a bit too much. Our room was beside the lift and the noise from the lift was loud and in operation all through the night.
The room was fantastic, staff were helpful and hotel was at excellent location. It looks like like an old factory outside, but like they say... 'don't judge a book by its cover'!
Trendy boutique hotel and room nothing
A good atmosphere,friendly staff,well located.
extremely good natured natured staff It was intolerably noisy. First from band recording in studios then from neighbouring nightclub The bathroom floor was not clean. I could not access the internet, which I needed for wor
I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful, I believe the hotel is excellent for week-end breaks. Could be noisy with next doors toilet light on, but was recified extremely quickly by the staff.
We stayed here for the location - close to Everton Ground (approx 15 - 20 minutes walk). The staff were all extremely friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they offered help whenever they could, advising us on the buses and places of interest to visit. Excellent breakfast. Would recommend. Although the staff of the Hotel were excellent, the staff at the attached Pub weren't at all friendly and the atmosphere was quite off putting/intimidating. We only stayed for one drink and moved on to find another with a friendlier atmosphere.
Inspite of questionable location, hotel is a warm friendly oasis in which to relax. It's clean modern and comfy. Staff very helpful and cheery. Breakfast room needs decorating to match the rest of the hotel. Also lighting to harsh.
Friendliness of the staff Area
The frendliness of the staff
Excellent friendly service and extremely helpful with any requests Showers rather small
Friendly staff. The hotel was basic but clean, similar to a guest House and the breakfast was cooked fresh and was excellent. A bit pricey for basic accomodation.
going 2 football and shoping sum noise in hotel
Staff were friendly & helpful, room was comfortable & clean, breakfast was good. From theoutside it looked tatty & uninviting - not great location -no parking of it's own
If you are looking for 5 star accommodation, this is not for you but if you are looking for a good comfortable place to stay, this is a good option. The hotel was homely and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The service was excellent i.e. rooms cleaned daily, good food etc. We were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I would definitely stay again. The area the hotel is situated out of the city centre and caution is needed at night but if you are sensible this should not be too much of a problem.
Staff were very friendly, helpfull and attentive. I booked a twin room expecting 2 single beds and was surprised to find 1 double bed and 1 bed settee in the room which was not made up.
I was pleasantly surprised that they had a 24-hour bar, which was a bonus for a late-night drink when we came back. This Express by Holiday Inn had improved the breakfast offering compared with other hotels in the chain. It was very pleasant. We were pleased that they had a direct link to taxis. Overall it was a very good stay.
Quick and easy to check in Relaxed
proximity to the airport with free shuttle service - spacious room th e bedroom door had a very wide gap around it - showerhead very impractical - new batteries in 'zapper' needed as the tv didn't work very well and the 'wake up call' could not be made to function - had to wake up often to make sure we weren't still in bed at 4.30 am
the value for money and breakfast was include in the price. staff were very helpful. Noise from other guests.
Would have liked information about food served other than breakfast. Breakfast very poor
easy access and friendly hotel not very happy with lack of items at breakfast on second morning . These items were there the day before but you had run out
It was very nerly to the airport
Handy for airport
Everything was as it said on the tin!!! Nothing to dislike
