Pros: Comfort of room, helpful receptionist, excellent food.
Cons: Speed of service at breakfast.comfortable
Pros: Clean and comfortable hotel. Spacious well-appointed rooms. Excellent service. Great views. Good meals in the restaurant.
Pros: Breakfast was very good. The only problem was the lack of staff when they were busy which meant that they found it hard to keep up with demand . However they did there very best and were always very polite and cheerful
Cons: sadly there is no lift which meant that it was a few steps to get to the third floor. However the view was well worth it!
Pros: Food very good. Staff helpful and friendly- even showed us to room on arrival.Bed very comfy
Cons: There wasn’t anything we disliked during our stay. Unfortunately no lift to first floor. Would book ground floor room next visit .
Pros: What a beautiful place with wonderful staff spotless clean great food and service thank you
Cons: That we had to leave
Pros: Room was beautiful, the little touches made it feel real homely. The bed was super comfy. The bathroom was amazing, free standing bath, beautifully tiled bathroom. The Food in the restaurant was excellent, cannot fault it. Although my partner wishes he had my lamb dish! The staff were super lovely and we cannot wait to stay again. We were fetched our prosecco one we arrived. Such a quiet place to stay with beautiful scenery. The silent self lawn mower had us absolutely ffascinated also made us jump when it creeped up on us whole sat in the garden with our drinks.
Cons: These things didn't effect our stay we had a wonderful time. Broken glass in the coffee table draw from previous guests, I left the draw open for staff to find when they entered to clean. The body wash dispenser next to the bath is broken and leaks but there are 2 others in the bathroom. On the room inventory it states there is a coffee machine in the room, there is not. The tea and coffee selection is minimal, with only 4 UHT milks. Fresh milk is available on request but extra on the room would be great. Robes would be a great touch to a beautiful room.
Pros: Excellent food and very comfortable room with good views. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind!
Pros: We travelled with our dogs to compete in a championship being staged in Llandeilo. We were allocated a room on the ground floor that had a patio door and meant we could park our vehicle right outside. There was also room to quickly let our dogs out safely. The air con was brilliant while the bed huge and extremely comfortable. We have stayed in many places this year - some meant to be high end hotels in cities but The Plough Inn is definitely at the top of our list: Warm welcoming and helpful staff as well as great food. No wonder this place has a great reputation. We will definitely be back!
Cons: I honestly can't think of anything..
Pros: Towy suite was beautiful and food was great!
Cons: Waited a while for coffee and breakfast - but once we told the waitress she was very apologetic and brought it quickly!
Pros: Breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs above par. Coffee was also very good. Service was pleasant.
Cons: The reception staff were very busy and it took some time and ringing to get someone to check us and another couple out. They were very apologetic and friendly.
Located in Llandeilo, The Cawdor is within a 15-minute drive of Aberglasney Gardens and National Botanic Garden of Wales. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: restaurant service a little slow, but quality of food excellent, especially the breakfast.
Cons: the service in the restaurant was slow although the staff were very friendly and willing to please. I think maybe that some extra training would be valuable. Listed building status meant that no lift to 2nd floor. Hard work for elderly to climb 2 flights but worth it when we got to our room. It certainly wouldn't stop us from booking again, but would request a room on the 1st floor. Overall we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay and I would recommend without any hesitation.
Pros: History of building. Nice breakfast / dining room. Comfortable lounge area Food (breakfast and dinner) was outstanding. Top marks for style and quality. Great selection of wine
Cons: Empty reception desk for 10 mins (1900hrs) Safe in bedroom not easily accessible. The safe was in the bottom of wardrobe and the door when open blocked view into safe. It was also covered in a layer of dust. Waiting staff very friendly but lacked knowledge and experience. No check back. Dropping cutlery when clearing tables.
Pros: They couldn’t do enough to make us happy
Pros: There was a very wide choice of cooked breakfasts available and a very reasonable buffet selection for those who preferred the alternative. We also enjoyed an excellent evening meal during our stay. All food served was of a high quality.
Cons: Just one niggle. This hotel seems to be very popular at the weekend and sadly for us, carpeting and curtains have made way for wooden floors (hollow?) and blinds in public rooms downstairs which greatly magnified the noise in each of these areas. We must stress however, that this was NOT the case in the residential section.
Pros: Great staff and excellent food.
Cons: No lift
Pros: Space. Big bed
Cons: No drawers. No lift. Lots of steps.
Pros: Staff were friendly and really helpful.
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t brilliant, we experienced a long wait and the food was cold.
Cons: Shame the bar closed early
Pros: A great boutique style hotel set in a small town, countryside location with very friendly staff and great food to match.
Pros: The room was beautifully, staff very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The bathroom was palatial and the shower was amazing.
Cons: The bar area was very small compared to the size of the eating and drinking areas, although it was very busy. On a quieter night it would be adequate.

Cons: The staff in the restaurant didn't seem to know what they were doing!

Cons: Everything was great
Pros: The breakfast was really tasty and well presented
Cons: Had to go looking for staff to order breakfast and could not find anyone to return return the room key in the morning. Had to step over a vacuum cleaner whilst walking through the restaurant in search of staff TV did not work Light in bathroom not working properly Having to sign in at the bar
Pros: Breakfast was nice - but coffee was weak. Everything else at the hotel was excellent. Service was warm and friendly. Would stay here again.
Cons: Coffee - but I like my coffee strong - so maybe it would suit others.
Pros: Food was blooming great. Room great, I think had we stayed in, the party down stairs would have been loud, but we were out
Pros: Very convenient to main road, and near town..
Cons: Fantastic family run , hotel pub... old welsh charm .. lovely clean rooms, and food was excellent,, great parking ,, and so near the town..
