10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The place was idyllic, by the river, surrounded by garden, woodland and vineyards. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. There was tea and coffee available and a well equipped kitchen - it would have been possible to cook an evening meal. Everything was spotless.
Cons: We would have liked to have been able to have breakfast before 8.30. We had a lovely evening meal in a creperie in the village but there weren't many restaurant options, especially on a Sunday night. We enjoyed the 20 minute walk to the village but if the weather is bad or if you are not happy to walk back in the dark on the unlit path then you would need to drive to any restaurant.
6.7 Good
Pros: The garden on the seine, nice walk next door along the seine
Cons: Poor acoustic, the rooms are distributed around a common living space which is only good if shared with a group. We would have preferred being able to choose our breakfast table and not sharing.

Pros: Batiste the owner could not do enough for us. He even changed his breakfast menu for our taste Thank you Batiste
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although the house is near the main road it is secluded in private grounds among lovely mature trees that gives a nice quiet restful feeling. The house is of an interesting design with many intriguing and beautiful antiques that had been collected over the years. Baptiste the owner was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Having breakfast in the dining room surrounded by the period furniture and elegant decor made us feel like we had stepped back in time. All in all a very enjoyable stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big airy rom (30m2) and huge wonderfully decorated bathroom. Interesting architecture and thoughtfully decorated - plenty of antique furniture and objects.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very pretty, unique and quirky. Secure away from other property.
Cons: Would have liked a means of making a hot drink in the evening
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room, the house, the surroundings, all breathe the same vintage look and is nicely restored/renovated. You imagine yourself easily back in time. The continental breakfast is of good quality, fresh and local. The location is surprisingly nice with the opportunity to walk around the lake. (by foot or starting point 3min drive).
Cons: Everything is in a very nice, old-fashioned style, this however comes with some practical downsides. The bed for example was rather small to accommodate a tall couple like us and there are few electrical sockets. The sound insulation between rooms is like in the old days.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: If you like your antiques then this is the property for you. Lovely house and grounds along with large spacious rooms. it felt as though I was stepping back in time to the start of the century - great.
Cons: The owner has a lot of antique items around the property which I was a bit unsure about especially when pulling on a suitcase in one hand and holding a large bag in the other - I was concerned that I might break something. The owner is very trusting. Not sure what I would do if I had young children as I would be concerned about breakages!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is an independent house with three bedrooms. An old building but with plenty of character and well loved nestled in a beautiful village. Pierre was a fantastic host waiting up to let us in at midnight having had a delayed ferry crossing. We also really enjoyed his breakfast of locally sourced hams and cheese, fresh bread from the baker and home grown organic apples. Such a nice contrast to the typical chain hotel groups. Would thoroughly recommend if you want to really feel like you are staying in France.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms and the house and the owner
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and obliging host. Large bright room and comfortable bed. We had the use of the kitchen for snacks. Great breakfast around the kitchen table.
Cons: The splendid bathroom was downstairs, through the kitchen and lounge, and across the hall.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful location in a quiet village in the southern Champagne region. The owner is knowledgeable on local history (including the huge, beautiful church) and local champagnes. He did a marvellous job hosting, such that all the guests on that evening chatted and exchanged opinions over, as well as on, two bottles of local champagne!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness and helpfulness of proprietor and his wife.
Cons: Nothing at all .everything was ideal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property has a delightful cottage garden, perfect for a late nightcap on a summer evening. Pierre and his wife were charming, and breakfast was delicious, local ingredients and beautifully presented.
Cons: One of the bedrooms shared a bathroom, something we were aware of when we booked, so was not a real problem. However the bathroom was a long way from the bedroom, on a different floor, which was not so convenient. Having said that, it did not spoil our stay and would not deter us from visiting again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay! Welcoming host, very clean and cosy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The quiet, beds, breakfast
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was everything it advertised itself to be and more. At first sight, its location is a touch rural if you are using it as an overnight stop, as we were, but that's where the problems stopped. It was worth every bit of the short drive to and from the autoroute as that was picturesque in itself! We had a room with a balcony and the view across the valley was stunning. Being just on the edge of the village, it also overlooked that too..... lovely! Our room was furnished superbly and wanted for nothing. The restaurant is somewhere we wish we could visit more often - a fabulous experience! The food was superbly cooked and served and our evening meal was a delight. This modern hotel is run by its owners and it shows. They clearly have pride in what they do and we shall do our best to stay here again - maybe a long weekend to visit some of the nearby champagne houses. All in all, this was a delightful, if short, stay and we have no hesitation in giving it a rating of 10.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent

Our room was very nice with an extremely comfortable bed and little balcony and a nice bathroom. This time we got a deal with the very good breakfast included (otherwise breakfast is a bit expensive). We had a very good dinner and love the ambience of the dining areas.

6.3 Good
Pros: Location, nice old house and great outdoor dining area

Pros: A lovely peaceful hideaway with amazing food, which is pricy but worth a treat!
Cons: Some wasps
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was superb, the bedroom very comfortable and spacious and filled with beautiful antiques and modern conveniences. We dined at the Michelin starred restaurant and had the four course fixed menu which was delicious. The pool was perfect too on a warm and sunny afternoon.
Cons: The village surrounding was looking tired and had no services. Luckily the chateau had everything we needed.
7.1 Good
Pros: The food at the restaurant
Cons: Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, and needs some updates. It is nothing sort of a Chateau as they call it. Pictures where taken long ago, it lacks character.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful spacious bedroom, fabulous dining, beautiful garden, great breakfast, easy to park, staff were super.
Cons: Long way to transport bags to the room, but staff did offer to help.
7.9 Good
Pros: Amazing chateau located in a sleepy french village. Room was the biggest hotel room I have seen and bathroom was equally as large. Grounds of the property were stunning with plenty of areas to chill out and relax. Rooms was clean and tidy. Hotel staff friendly and attentive.
Cons: Because it is a period property, people can be heard walking the corridors and when in neighbouring rooms. Decor was typical old french chateau which will appeal to some, but we would prefer something more modern.
7.1 Good
Pros: We had a separate annex...roomy bathroom, large bedroom.
Cons: Its shabby chick...none of the doors shut including front door of our accomodation. The whole site excluding spa had that vibe. As for food..its Michelin star...its foam foam foam....its very nice, well done...but don't expect a hearty meal. Staff warmed up eventually in the restaurant, and assumed we knew all the nuiances of menu. Its half an hour from a major town. If you want a get away, that's expensive and in the middle of nowhere..then its perfect write that novel!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The setting is exquisite, quiet and rural and the outer building opulent,
Cons: We have stayed previously and the restaurant attracted us back. Our room was a smaller one which is of no consequence however no bedside cabinets, little access for charging anything, chair stained, shower smelt and had slime around exit, it was disappointing and we would not be tempted back even by the food which is a shame

7.5 Good
Pros: Out of the town with not a lot around but that is why we stayed. Used as a stop over en route to the South and have used it before. Having car fully loaded didn't want to be in the town. It also has secure garages for trailers etc. Great restaurant next door and breakfast at the bar is fantastic and typical of rural France. A bit outdated but brilliant none the less and the kids love the pool after a long days driving from the North of England.
3.3 Mediocre

Cons: Restaurant very overpriced , staff inattentive, food average. Dated, 70’s decor Didn’t feel clean
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was good off A26 single night stop over staff very helpful breakfast and evening meal both good value and swimming pool for the children a real bonus after a long hot journey in a car. Hotel fine for single night stay to break your journey staff were very friendly and only charged for one child at breakfast which I thought was a nice touch.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Dinner was excellent in the rear courtyard, spoiled only by chickens wandering around the tables and bird droppings from overhanging trees
Cons: No one at reception for some minutes after we arrived, and when someone did turn-up they did not have a customer friendly attitude. The hotel had not received our booking from "bookings.com" and was not able to offer the type of room we had booked, or at the price we booked. The breakfast was very basic with no choice. It took 10 minutes for a hot tap to produce hot water.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a lovely old town. The food is very good and the staff helpful. I’m slightly surprised by some of the previous reviews but I suspect if you don’t at least try to speak French you won’t get a great reception. They don’t speak English because they are French.
Cons: It’s a bit quirky in places and the newly fitted bathrooms don’t have proper showers (just baths with a shower hose). Otherwise it’s lovely.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable. The hotel had old-world French character. There was covered off- street parking for my motorcycle.
Cons: The WiFi didn't work in my room. The breakfast was inadequate, consisting only of yoghurt, baguette, croissants and coffee - with no apparent sources of protein. When I arrived there were no staff and the hotel was dark and appeared to have been abandoned. After some time, a member of staff arrived to give me the key to my room. The restaurant was closed (as were all the restaurants in the town centre).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is the real experience of French Hotels in the best way. Traditional, great place, charming and individual with wonderful food served in a delightful dining room. This is the sort of place that is dying out!
Cons: It was perfect for us - nothing to dislike!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and clean, with plenty of old charm. Good location with private parking. Great restaurant and garden area for a cold drink and food
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was very quiet in the hotel
Cons: It didn’t have a bar, but did have seating outside
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room good but small. No tea or coffee in room as stated or water.Excellent dinnerMain course was not hot
Cons: All fine ,secure and easy to park
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice old place, well maintained.
Cons: One of the staff in particular was surly and unwelcoming. The place was understaffed and she was annoyed about that, which was understandable, but she should not have been so rude and unpleasant to the guests. Thoughtless.
7.5 Good
Pros: Historical old hotel with charm, lovely gardens and setting for al fresco dining. Good and varied (reasonably priced) wine selection for restaurant.
Cons: Food was good, but rather expensive for what it was, and portion sizes were quite small. Plus, style of food was rather 'stuck in the 80s'. Breakfast was distinctly average, with wafer-thin baguette, full of holes, such that it was near impossible to add jam or butter, both of which were generic supermarket types, as were the croissants. Often in such hotels jam is homemade, but not here. The feel of the breakfast was distinctly 'budget': as if every cent had been costed. Would rather have paid 2-3 Euros more for proper homemade jam, and better bread and croissants. Rather surly waitress, who served dinner with a frown. She could do with going to charm school!
