The room is comfortable and clean. reception is responsive and helpful. The walls are thin and you can hear the other guests.the bungalows are not closed to the beach. Most facilities (boat rental, kids activities) are closed by mid September.
We stayed in the Bungalow trilo comfort (4+2), 4 addults. It is located in a new 2 store building , very comfortable apartment. The village is situated in a good location for "star" trips. Bed linen and towels are supplied with no extra cost, and the check-out cleaning is included in the price as well. The guests have to bring/buy some basic products for the kitchen, from dishes liquid, towels etc. to sugar, salt, etc. Also there is a lack of pan, kettle, and some cooking accessories.
Friendly, helpful staff and accomodation was in excellent condition. Quiet and safe for families and children Catered for mainly German tourists so didn't feel like a stay in Italy. Swimming pool water temperature was too cold for children so meant unable to make any real use of the pool for anything other than a short visit. Food was ok but not good standard for Italy the home of wonderful food.
Sirmione is a very good location, big rooms and nice kitchen. All equipment was almost new and well working. Bis supermarket (c+c MaxiGross) is near by. Was dusted under the bads, so when we opened the windows all the dust came up. The green fields are not so green and you are not allowed to use them (play, run, picnic..)
Location, friendly staff. Nice apartment with terrace, kitchenette and good shower. Camping area had affordable grocery store and ok restaurant. Parking was also arranged nicely. Nights were cold and the air conditioning machine couldn't warm up the apartment. German student groups made 'some noise' at the couple of nights.
Excellent welcome even though we arrived late at night. The man who met us and guided us to our appartment noticed details that were broken and came back without us having noticed or asked for assistance. Proffessional! None really, since we were two families travelling together we noticed the difference in equipment, lack of glasses in one appartement etc.
Excellent place clean, comfortable, very good modern appartment and regulate temperature yourself.Very good mini market.Village in lovely area. Walls not sound proof so you have to have good neighbours ! Swimming pool closed in last week of October ,only opens Saturday. We were not there on a Saturday so couldnt go there.
Friendly staff. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Safe parking. A very good place for a family stay. The hotel was closing on Sunday 31st Oct although Monday 1st of Nov was a holiday. We wanted to stay also on Sunday, to vist Movieland, Parco Nationale etc, but this was not possible.
Excellent location of village, clean and organised Village's amenities (supermarket and internet) are expensive
Nice pool. good restaurent with a view.wonderfull new apartment the first week Nice young staff to help always and everywhere. good entertainment during day and evening Our children were to old to this place. They are teens, maybee something to this age would be nice too?
Everyone was friendly & helpful & this helped us relax as we had not been to Italy previously. No kettle in the room was my only bug bear
Providing having a car the location is excellent to discover Lake Garda, Milan, Verona and others like Venice. nothing
pool very nice quite near road
location between sirmione and desenzano, swimming pool, terrace overseeing the lake, free parking , very helpful staff. internet too expensive (9 euros / day) , a little bit of noise coming from the road.
The room was immaculately clean and we had a good sized balcony. The Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly whenever we asked for any advice or directions. The hotel did not have a restaurant - only served breakfast. We found this a bit strange as there were no restaurants within easy walking distance. No tea/coffee facilities in bedroom which would have been appreciated.
comfortable room in a hotel away from the main tourist areas of lake garda. . Very isolated hotel (no restauarant in hotel) no bars or restaurants near by. If you dont have your own car transport to the most popular areas on the Lake is very diifficult. The hotel advertises a shuttle bus which only runs 3 times a day at times that suit the hotel and not the guests who may want to catch ferries on the Lake at the best times
Hotel was excellent - very clean, confortable, and super staff
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was quite isolated so had to travel everywhere by car or other transport.
Room clean, reception staff friendly and helpful. Services ok and the breakfast good. On site parking was an asset as it is located some distance from resturants. The bar staff were not attentive and non existent, we were completely ignored and left after waiting some 10 minutes for service. There was only 4 other patrons in the bar!!
the curtains in the rooms where ripped, the bathroom floor was dirty. you should also tell the clients when they book lake view, that there is a street inbetween and it is better book the side to the pool. the spa was very good, but on Sunday, there is now service, no candles lighted. the front office staff depends on the time of the day. the evening staff was very rude, the night receptionst nice and in the morning nice too. view street inbetween the lake and the hotel, bathroom floors, curtains,
The staff were rude and really unhelpful. No-one around the pool bar to serve drinks. Got charged the wrong price when checking out and the staff never apologised and it took them 30 minutes to sort out!
The setting/location is sensational. My car was not parked by the staff on check in as promised. I got a 38 Euro parking ticket that I do not know how to pay since I am back in Canada. he staff was completely rude and not willing to help.
The location was very convienant to the harbour and for sight seeing
Beautiful situation in the old town
Excellent hotel. Clean and luxurious.Good facilities Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Took one hour to get bags to room! Supposed to get complimentary mini bar then refused because we had only booked a "comfort room"
The location is wonderful, the area has alot to offer Too noisy and smelled of sulfur in the room.
We have been in this hotel many times. We are always return back to this hotel 3 or 4 times per year. Nice swimming pool, nice place. Thank you.
Superb position on lakeside and lots of small shops and alley ways to explore. Easy access to other lakeside villages via inexpensive and comfortable boat service. Would avoid peak holiday time as it would be very busy and not so enjoyable. Best ice cream parlours (and so many) for a small village. Comfortable rooms. Helpful staff. Good value for money. Overall an enjoyable experience. Might try the spa next time though it looked a little pricey. If you dont book half board, the restaurant is really out of bounds. The 50 euro per person set menu was too much for us in terms of the amount of food and a deterrent to occasional diners but maybe that is the policy of the hotel. We were advised there was no a la carte menu. The lighting in the restaurant was very bright and a bit clinical. Candles would have improved the ambiance but there are many excellent restaurants of varying price within easy walking distance of the hotel, so eating out was not a problem. There are many room grades and it is not easy to select what is right for you. We would have liked a balcony. Take a mosquito deterrent with you and dont open the windows when you have lights on at night
I liked the location in the town also it's convienence to Verona the standard of accommodation was good I would stay here again The quality of breakfeast was poor
view of lake tired and old in many respects. no wifi in rooms
good modern hotel and in a central location for the lake and walking into the town beds are very hard and uncomfortable
quiet relaxing environment friendly helpful staff no
the internet connection was too slow for business on the day I had to use it, I gave up...
Beautiful hotel right in front of the lake and a beach. It has a lovely terrace for breakfast and drinks in the evening, and very helpful staff. The hotel is a short walk from Desenzano centre - which is a vibrant place, with good bars and restaurants, and a very pretty port. Our balcony was supposed to look over the garden of the hotel, but we found that in fact it looked over the car park. This just meant we did not use the balcony - but the hotel was so nice otherwise it didn't really matter. The hotel is also on a main road, so it is not quite as peaceful as other hotels / other resorts on the lake might be - but it is not a particularly busy main road and still has idyllic views of the lake.
Great location close to center/restaurants, top service, great breakfast, very friendly, great parking facilities, very clean, nice pool. Rooms small, never enough toilet paper, noisy road in front (no problem in the rooms in the back)
Everything about this hotel is excellent. It is in a great location (only 5 mins from the main square in Desenzano), extremely clean, the staff were always very friendly and helpful, the pool area is very clean / quiet and relaxed, the room was spacious and had a great view from the balcony and the range of options on the breakfast menu was outstanding.
Relaxing atmosphere Expensive, no tea making facilities, charge for pool towels
The Villa Rosa is beautiful. We have stayed in many hotels in Lake Garda and this was by far our favourite. The staff are really friendly and helpful without exception. Breakfast very good. They have thought of everything and even have a lovely shower room next to the pool for late checkout and they provide a shower pack as well. Can't wait to go back. Well done to everyone at Villa Rosa!
Friendly staff and good food
Helpful staff, convenient and picturesque location, cleanliness, excellent and fresh breakfast selection.
We liked the fresh design of an the hotel, and the view of the room. The 'fine cuisine' of the restaurant isn't that fine, quality not the best. We were served by very unfriendly waiters. In the bar of the hotel, same service than in the restaurant. It's a pity, because, that takes the charm of the hotel.
Nice design, comfort
relax, enjoy, wellness
very quiet and peaceful hotel gives comfortable feeling the bar was very poor and was not any entertainment. there is not enough decoration
The hotel design is nice also the rooms are large and nice. Location is very good for Sermione and Desezano tours on Garda lake. Breakfast is great. Although we didn't have time for relax at the pool the pool looks great. Balcony was full of insects.
Swimming pool Too far from the town and no atmosphere.
they offer us half board accomodation for three persons .but the price is for two persons only breakfast.very good price! thanks them !
The restaurant Location too distant from the delightful Sirmione Town. Holiday camp setting/image. Not ideal for mature travellers
got un upgrade on room and children were not charged. nice swiming pools and small open air area dedicated to children. parking place offered for free, whic a rare thing in italy. shuttle service to center of sirmione was not running frequently staying most of time idle at the parking
The staff was very frendly and helpful. Location was good, out of turisty area of Sirmione. The very small bathroom and the fact that there were no bathrobes or slippers offered. Not having any posibility to acces the Internet was a minus as well.
The hotel is not so suitable for demipension. The timeschedule is only for one hour.
Good location, rooms are very clean
Our favorite hotel in the World to date. Wonderful location, room, food, staff. Quiet swimming pool. Wonderful tables for breakfast and dinner, right by the lake. Peaceful. Free minibar and parking. Wonderful town to explore. Food fantastic with good range of local ingredients and wines. Can't wait to go back. Shame it is such a long drive from the UK! ;-)
The location of the hotel was ideal, directly on the lake and free parking for hotel guests, as well as free minibar The receptionist (Barbara) put us into a inferior room to the one we had booked and was extremely reluctant to change it - the remainder of the hotel staff were good.
old fashioned but wiyout any special cachet
The exellent location -very close to historical Sirmione, very very beatiful view, thermal pool, not many people, polite and professional staff ... I have great pleasure stayed at this hotel 2 times and i am planing to stay there again.. very convenient to combine business trip to Milan with 2-3 days relaxing on the lake Garda Nothing
As well as being very well looked after, the staff worked hard to make sure our stay was without any hitch.
It was totally relaxing. Mainly older guests. No children.. Very friendly and helpful staff especially at the reception and pool.
View from the room.
the view on the lake badly functioning facilities
This is a lovely hotel in a great setting. Ask for a room overlokking th lake. Good breakfast too. Very good value for money.
We loved the lake view room ,The decor was really nice and the room itself was warm which was needed as it was the end of november. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was good The bath was too narrow. We were dissappointed with the quality of the room as we paid for a "superior" room. It was small and very basic. The hotel staff said that the only difference between the standard and superior was that superior had a fridge. I would expect all rooms in a 4* hotel to have a fridge.
i loved everything the parking place, which outside of the old city
no shower, no lake view which i requested and poor selection for breakfast, the egg machine took to long (about 15 mins to boil an egg)
Great view of the lake and good central location within the town. Room and bathroom was large and clean.
Lake view room was superb and the location is ideal.
Good value for money The rooms with the best position (overlooking the lake) were not the best fitted out - seems illogical & the Hotel will be losing out on its room rate because of this.
Helpful and friendly staff, warm, clean rooms, good variety of food at breakfast good location
Beautiful location, Hotel was right on the waterfront and serviced by great staff.
good service, friendly staff with addition of charges for baby cot and breakfast total cost was quite high but we do realise lake garda is a relatively expensive area
Waterfront location, good free parking, large choice of restaurants near by Outside noise Saturday night.
The hotel was well kept and had charm, central location and helpful staff. Coffee was not good, which you would expect being in Italy.Breakfast could be better.
The staff at the hotel were absolutely fabulous - the guys on the reception were particularly great.
position and facilities
The staff and the location The breakfast which was poor and the management who were rude
very near to the center car park is not according to the standerd
Location is good, new décor & furniture (only in the deluxe rooms!), rooms with lake view are very nice & quiet. Poor sound insulation, no wi-fi, inconsistent room pricing (we had 3 rooms - they were oddly priced), breakfast girl is very unfriendly.
Nice hotel, all people very kind. Nice location. Cozy and elegant rooms.
Sympathetic and competent staff and very nice coffe and hand-made cakes They begin the cleaning of the rooms early in the morning
staff & owner's daughter; the location no
Modern design of the rooms
It was very modern and very clean.
The hotel was clean and furnishing was good. The lake view was wonderful. The location was very good. Breakfast could have been better
The hotel is just by the lake and both the view and the hotel area is beautiful. Choose a room with lake view .
Lakeside location with 15 minutes easy walking distance to the old town. Free car park at the hotel and a good location for exploring Lake Garda. Excellent service and staff very helpful at all times.
Staff were attentive and helpfull. The breakfasts were very good, much more than average "continental". The steeing of the hotel was wonderfull - couldn't have been nearer to the lake! There was no wireless internet connection at all in the hotel. The rooms did not have drink making facilities.
The location of the hotel, inside the old town, on the waterfront
The location of the hotel is very good The room is small
Very good location, and parking (if you travel by car)
location is excellent.staff very helpful
Very convenient--within the walls, just by the castle, and it's right near the boat to other towns on Lake Garda. Nothing! It was great.
We like hotels location, staff, comfort, food. Everything was great.
Location. Staff were friendly. There are no facilities apart from breakfast. The restaurant attached runs as a seperate establishment and it's not always possible to get a table. The room was hot with no view. Evening maid service was sporadic.
Wonderful view of the bay Parking is difficult
The Hotel Eden is in an excellent location right next to the ferry port and with easy access to the restraunts and shops. The Breakfast was fantastic. The walls were very thin and the decor dated.
The scenery at Lake Garda was stunning the drive to the hotel was not easy. You have to drive through a heavily pedestrianised area to get to the hotel
very pleasant staff the breakfast was very limited in choice
The staff and the hotel were both excellent and the location was ideal, being in a quieter part of Sirmione, yet only 5 minutes walk from the centre.Service was both polite and friendly and the rooms were always spotless. The food was good and the wine list extensive, though a little on the expensive side.No complaints No
location just outside the hustle and bustle Though is was overpriced
Friendliness of staff, nice rooom (although not truly a suite), great location and view
Very peaceful and excellent service
within the walls of an old medieval town but away from all the noise left with several mosquito btes.i
Very tranquil, relaxing and intimate setting. Close to historic centre. Hotel location makes it challenging to reach by car as it means driving through busy and narrow pedestrian streets.
Breakfast, friendly personal Air Condition
the welcoming of the staff and the design of the hotel
Very friendly & helpful staff, very clean, large well appointed, very comfortable rooms & a nice pool.
We stayed here for a week from 11 th August 2010. It was lovely. Every member of staff were very pleasant and obliging even with young children. The room was spacious and clean with maid service every day.As we booked a family room, the second bed was a sofa bed and I have to say, it was very uncomfortable and noisy. The breakfast was very good with a variety of hot and cold choices. Our kids loved the pool which was spotless and safe. Location is about 15 mins drive from the pretty town of Sirmione. I would definately recommend a car to appreciate the area, especially as the weather can be changeable. We toured the whole lake which is definately worth doing. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again
Clean and spacious rooms, stylish The swimming pool not suitable for small children under 10 years, the surface is such that one easily gets wounds; the breakfast was limited in variety and some items were finished.
Luxurious hotel: large apartment, balcony, swimming pool, quiet rooms. Friendly hotel staff. Transport problems to the Desenzano city railway station. You could have exact timetable of local buses. It was not even written at bus stop. There was no free transfer as promised on your internet website. Misunderstanding with local car rent: if client has to fill some documents before car reservation at your receptionist it should be said. We understood that first oral reservation a day before would be enough and next morning when a car arrive we should sign the contract. So we missed our expected rental car.
Fantastic apartment for a family of six. Air conditioning. Very clean and well maintained facilities. Near to a supermarket for drinks etc.We would come back again. Being charged to use the kitchen within the apartment (you should include it in the price). The children had many cuts on their feet and knees as the surface material of the pool was so rough. We used a box of plasters.
Spacious apartments, great for families, easy car access, good location, nice swimmingpool, childfriendly. Pity the developers gone cheap on finishings, all furnishings feel rickety. Noisy location by road. If you want to use tiny kitchen (where microwave and fridge are) you have to pay Euro 25 extra...
Fantastic room - spacious and well-appointed, and two bedrooms were perfect for our family. Really helpful, friendly receptionist. Great breakfast, family facilities and pool. The pool was quite cold
helpfull staff. Situated next to a very busy road, which meant the pool and sun lounger area was not very relaxing. Hotel was new, and so very nearly there but little things effected our stay, there was no hotel information (time of breakfast, room sevices etc), bottom level of car park had no signs and entering the hotel from this level was still unfinshed. There as an additonal charge for use of the kitchen in the appartment which meant the fridge was switched off and no mini bar to keep drinks cool
we had a very big room, 40m. the hotel has a pool, the stuff is very helpful, speaks english. breakfast was good.
Modern comfortable hotel with large rooms. Excellent, friendly, helpful staff, good pool plenty of room. Good location, short drive to Sirmione or Densenzano, however you cannot see the lake because there is a road and trees in front of the hotel. Good value.
It is the furthest hotel out on the peninsula, so you have a nice view of the lake and olive grooves from the balcony without too many buildings in the way. There was a fan noice at daytime, thankfully not at night, possibly from a restaurant, that was irritating and sounded like being in a boat. To get to hotels in sirmione by car you need to navigate through the narrow old town treets filled with pedestrians. Cars are not allowed to drive 21 - 23. In hindsight would recomend people to take a nice B&B in some litle village, and just visit Sirmione for an hour or so.
Great location with wonderful lake view, very friendy staff, very clean room, cleaned twice a day, great coffee for breakfast. Very quite. great swimming pool. The room was not spacious enough for 4 ppl, there was no fridge in the room, but brought on request. Breakfast was ok: cold buffet ok for short stay but not for 8 days, missing hot dishes and vegatables.
Room was ok. The attitude of the staff was extremely unfriendly and at times very rude. So much so that we cut short our stay from 7 nights to 2! The elderly lady who appeared to be in charge seemed to be looking for an excuse to criticise and remostrate with the guests. Breakfast was poor accompanied by poor service. Terrible, absolutely terrible. Aircon in room did not work properly. There was a power cut one night, when this was reported to staff they intimated it was our fault ? they then pointed out that there was a power cut to every room in the hotel - this was not right - all other rooms had their lights on ?
The staff were freindly and helpful.the hotel was very clean and had all the basic hotel facilities. The swimming pool and poolside area were lovely to relax by. The hotel is located beside a stunning viewing point. The breakfast had a poor selection and there were many many wasps in the fruit salad.
The location was very nice to watch the sunset over lake Garda. This hotel is not a 4* hotel as advertised on bookings.com and also claimed by the hotel. The hotels staff were very rude on arrival and there was certainly no 'service with a smile' as you would expect from a 4* hotel. The decor of the hotel was also very dated.
Beautiful hotel gardens and pool with fantastic views over the lake.
Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Very accomodating to special wishes. Good service. Excellent and relaxing outdoor area for sitting, swimming, cocktails, etc. The staff was great with our children and our lingustic deficiencies. The air conditioning was not functioning and the rooms were simply too hot (this was remedied during our stay). The breakfast (included) was a bit sparse.
The views are amazing. Pool lovely though cold. Once there good location to explore Sirmione. Good selection of eating places. Very friendly English speaking receptionist. Very quiet, no lack of space by pool etc. The drive through the castle and narrow streets is a bit daunting and would be anoying if you wanted to drive out regularly. Pillows very hard but were changed on request. No one eats in the hotel lunch or evening which is a shame as reduces the atmosphere. Very quiet.
The staff The breakfast was very poor there was no eggs ...
Fantastic garden and situation of the property outside on Sirmione
Lovely hotel with first class location. a real experience.
We stayed in a junior suite which on the whole was very nice. The gourmet restaurant was very good, if expensive. The hotel was very peaceful and staff very friendly. Main drawback was the bed being hard and uncomfortable which we were not expecting from a luxury hotel. The bathroom was large with both a shower and a bath, but only one sink so you could not both get ready together which I might have expected from a junior suite. Be careful that this hotel is on the top of a steep hill which may be difficult for some people to access.
We liked the Concierge, the grounds, the history, the natural beauty, location, The hotel was rundown, antiquated infrastructure ( not 5 Star!!!) -plumbing, electrical, telephone, .. This does deserve a five star rating based on services and facilities. It has a very depressing feel to it as though it was an dowdy relic of the past not suited to modern travelers'needs.
Access to the hotel is difficult with many pedestrians on your way
Hotel setting and grounds beautiful. Staff very helpful and friendly.
The house was really pretty and very centrical. Nice room, nothing to envy to a luxury hotel and very quite as well. The personal are very friendly and speak English too, in ovrall a very pleasant experience. The swimming pool was empty but it was october so it is normal
The hotel was very clean, the room was big and comfortable. The lady that owns it was very very nice and speaks good enough english. You get a set of keys so you can come and go as you please. The location is great - really close to the train station and also to the center of town and the boats.
It was more than expected.
location, the room is nice and clean.
The relaxing ambiance, the friendliness and hospitality of Maria, grounds and villa are well kept and very clean. Entrance well secured. Bedlights too dark (for reading) in the double room.
Beautiful location next to the lake with very friendly and helpful staff. Great pool and well kept hotel and rooms. Very good value for money and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends.
The location is perfect, on the lake and only about 200 metres from the town, and only E8 in a taxi from the train station. The town of Desenzano is very Italian, not many tourists. It was perfect for us. The view from our room of the lake was breathtaking. Breakfast was excellent, the staff were extremely accomodating. The swimming pool is cold but still nice! The internet is free and you can use it whenever you like. We loved this hotel and didn't want to leave!
Location on Lake Garda was stunning. Hotel gardens were lovely and led down to the lake shore. The view of the lake with the mountains in the background was spectacular, and to have a balcony was an added luxury and worth the extra cost. Staff were terrific and so helpful.Desenzano is a lovely area and worth visiting. Rooms were spotless and well looked after. Breakfast could have been better. Bacon and eggs provided each morning, but was always cold, not even cool, but cold. Fresh fruit was provided but not the best, days old.The rest was adequate, plenty of cheese and ham, and toast was available which made up for everything. and staff did their best to look after everyone.Have had better and worse.
the rooms were very clean and fairly recently renovated, the staff was friendly and helpful there was no english tea :(
The site - right next to Lake Garda. Fabulous bar and seating area with panoramic view of the lake. The manager and family sat and had their dinner at the bar seating area whilst the guests were having drinks. There is no restaurant for evening meals or snacks for guests.
The hotel was really great. We stayed there shortly for business reason, but the staff was really nice and freaindly, the breakfast good and international, the rooms with the view to the Lake are really perfect. The room was clean and tidy. This is definately one of my favorite hotels. Looking forward to come back to Lago di Garda...
Iloved the location. Our room overlooked the lake with mountains in the background.Just fabulous! The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was a bother to them. There was nothing I disliked.
location by the Garda see the vreal iew of the room is not relevat with the picture on web site, dirty windows, view can be to the street side
The location of the hotel was excellent with comfortable rooms and very good friendly and helpful staff Breakfast could be better and parking was difficult on some nights
great location, and friendly staff, small hotel with personality.
