The Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel, is situated in a historic building on London's famous Park Lane. The 5-star hotel borders Hyde Park, and is close to Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus. With a range of amenities, Grosvenor House is eminently convenient for both business travelers and vacationers.
After being taken over by the Marriott family, Grosvenor House underwent a meticulous renovation, ensuring that each of its 494 guest rooms were tastefully updated in keeping with the hotel's classic, luxurious aesthetic. Rooms are spacious, with some offering park views and a balcony. The hotel offers numerous conference and event spaces. The largest, the so-called Great Room, was originally an ice skating rink on which Queen Elizabeth II was known to take a spin. On-site dining facilities include the acclaimed JW Steakhouse, The Park Room, and a coffee shop. Guests staying in executive rooms can indulge in snacks and drinks gratis throughout the day. Among other amenities, the hotel offers a fitness center, laundry facilities, and babysitting services.
London's famous Hyde Park is right outside the hotel's front doors, and convenient bus, taxi, and train transportation are all nearby. The theater district is a short walk away, while Grosvenor Square houses the ancestral home of the Dukes of Westminster. Other points of interest nearby include the Halcyon Gallery, the Royal Artillery Memorial, and Marble Arch.
great Christmas decorations...but too many of them.
rooms are dated...particularly bathrooms.
Hotel of this standard and at the rate we paid per night, very strange that there was a charge for internet??? Did not receive the newspaper a single day, although promised by Reception.
Check in & check out is very slow. Many staff seem to be trainees.
Check in is poor for a high class hotel.
staff is generally young or new (which is fine with me) but lacks some experience.
The location, the club lounge and the bed
The room is very small for an executive room.
The room was particularly nice, very comfortable and homely.
Dvd equipment in room innoperable asked to be rectified staff could not repair.
walkin in the hyde park
the receptionst telling me I had no booking. iI gave her my name twice.
Not enough choices of restaurents for a 5 star hotel
The renovation work is fantastic and reminds me of true english culture.
Great location!!!! With excellent staff, very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had a lovely aperitif in the terrace overlooking the park ( I guess the only one on Park Lane) followed by a fabulous dinner in bord’ eaux restaurant, the meal served was really outstanding. My husband and I were delighted and overwhelmed with the hotel staff. We recommend to everyone
