Once in the apartment it was lovely, really impressed with the finish and decor. Good facilities and decorated to a high standard. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Really clean too!
The entrance to the actual building was unclean, damaged, broken windows and broken lift. It felt really dodgy and was worried what the room was going to be like. I didn't like that for a check-in of 2pm instead of 4pm was and extra £40! I also didn't like that i had to send a photo of myself holding up my passport and a picture of my bank card (first 8 numbers covered) to the company before they would give me the code it get in.
Apartment was newly renovated and quite spacious, by London standards. The location was good (really close to the underground station) and there are some shops and places to eat nearby.
1) The host is not really flexible with early check-in/late check-out - they charge per hour, so you need to figure out what to do with your bags if you have a lot of time between the flat and the airport. 2) a bottle of water on arrival would be appreciated 3) we didn't get a baby cot even though we asked for it and agreed to pay for it 4) We didn't get check in details until it was really late on the day of arrival. The host was communicating to us via e-mails, which i wasn't following due to my travelling schedule. I would expect someone to follow up via tel. Scans of passport and credit card were required, which was weird and cumbersome. At the end of the day i had to call them multiple times to sort this out. Finally once we received the details self check-in was easy.
Nice fitted flat
Was issues with the hot water and didn’t have hot water 2 times when i was needing it
Location was good
Toilet seat was broken Mattress not comfortable Items listed as being available to get us start in room for example hot chocolate was not supplied Mould in the corners of shower and basin
Really clean, comfortable. Good TV, great cooking facilities. All the facilities - stove, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, shower were high spec and great to use. Lots of cookware, beware, the cutlery is in a partially concealed small drawer within a larger drawer. Very well located with supermarkets and pubs nearby, Swiss Cottage underground right next door and a very enjoyable walk down Eton Ave across the road to restaurants, pubs and on to Primrose Hill and Regent Park. We did have a couple of issues, but the management centre responded promptly and helpfully to emails.
A bit odd to have to send a copy of your ID (passport) and an image of your credit card. Option was there to conceal the first 8 digits of the card, then send them separately by a 2nd email or phone the management centre. You are not met but on receipt of the ID and card you get an email with the entry code to the building. The entry code is confusing but fortunately residents were able to put us straight. (Hot tip where the code says 'key' you press 'enter'). Once in it is very easy to access the apartments/studios. There is no air conditioning and in hot weather our studio would have been very warm being on the top (5th) floor. Unfortunately the WiFi would not connect, and the tried and true method of switching the modem off for 10min didn't work. Management were apologetic and offered to give us passwords to other WiFi networks nearby, but in the end we didn't need to.
