The location was ideal
We felt the apartment was very tired as far as decorating was concerned.Free internet access is absolutely necessary these days.Airconditioning was very noisy
Location is very good, Rooms are very large comparing to a Hotel room in same price level. Kitchen is great to have as well the large living room to relax.
Rooms facing Hartford Street very noisy from cars, construction over the day, pub over the week-ends (very bad window isolation), no room service saturday and sunday. Heating didn't work in our apartment. Rooms are large but the furniture there a bit shabby.
Having an apartment with a kitchen, washer, and living room is great, particularly for a stay of more than a couple of days. The location in Shepards Market in Mayfair is terrific-- about a 10 minute walk to the underground with lots of great places to eat within a few blocks.
It is under new management and the staff is not service oriented. They give the impression that they don't care at all about their customers. They had the carpets cleaned in our apartment while we were staying in it; the smell was horrific and we were forced to move to a lower floor apartment. The apartments facing the street are very noisy (the lower floors particularly). In addition to street traffic sounds there is construction next door that's been going on for two years and renovations in the hotel itself. The windows are double paned so this would be alright except that the hotel is so over heated (with no way to regulate the heat for individual apartments) that you have to keep the windows open not to suffocate. Feels shabby.
The staff attitude.
