Very nice hotel and excellent hotel staff!!! Thank you for a pleasent stay!
the receptionnist was very nice the size of the room. even though we were staying 4 nights i think they gave us one of the if not the smallest room in the hotel
The staff were friendly and efficient but the best feature was the location - close to Kensington Gardens and Bayswater tube. The room was beautifully clean The use of blankets seems to be a bit of a time warp especially in London.
The size of the room and bathroom (for London standard) Excellent location Breakfast was very basic
Every thing was o.k No
The location Everything was ok actually
The location was okay and the hotel was clean. The staff was particularly unhelpful and not attentive. No one would look at us, let alone say hello when we entered the lobby. Our room was a "family room" with four beds crammed into a room meant for two. If you can't accommodate four people then don't say you can. We were also in the basement next to the breakfast area. Not only was the set-up crew noisy at 6AM, our smoke alarm went off at 7AM because of toast in the toaster.
good location - close to tube stations/shops, friendly staff the world's smallest room (could not move!), pictures on website not at all like actual hotel, very basic decor (far from "luxurious, tasteful and elegant" as advertised) basic breakfast, no complimentary book in room as advertised, only 1 teabag on hospitality tray in room, constant background noise of generator outside
The hotel was situated in a nice quiet spot with pleasant, clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfasts were ok, but often ran out of plates, or cutlery, or hot water and had to wait for resupply. Not really well organised in that respect.
We had a room where the air conditioning was exiting and was noisy all night and also very hot! Poor service, not English speaking staff, poor value for the money!
Extremely convenient location close to Hyde Park and two Uunderground stations. Helpful staff.
Hotel close to Underground Station, so great links to all of London right on doorstep. Nice comfortable stay. We keep coming back, so it must tick all our boxes - cost, location, ambience. Recommended to others. Additional cost for cooked breakfast seemed a little unnecessary.
The service, the staff they could not do enough to help us. highly recommend. we will be back my mum and I.
Restful, quiet, good restaurant and excellent location. A bit of a trip back in time. Limited access for those with disabilities. The staff was willing to do everything possible to compensate.
The friendliness of the staff.
The room was great for the price and the garden lovely, food was good, ncie to have a choice of cooked breakfast.Having a car park was also very handy. And a great location. Couldnt realy ask for more.
Leaving The room was dirty, the sheets were washed with such a cheap detergent that I gained a rash on my back which is still subsiding 3 days later, no duvets and the tv didn't work.
The hotel is situated just far enough away from the centre to be quiet but is very convenient for the underground. It is an "honest" hotel and does not try to be something it is not. The room was in need of some repair work
The staff were pleasant and helpful Room rather shabby. No tea/coffee making facilities. TV didn't work properly. Booked me a cab which ripped me off - not a black cab
Excellent location. Room style bit old fashioned.
For London this was a clean, decent, relaxed hotel. and one I would gladly recommend despite the "negatives". Possibly the worlds smallest lift?, thread bare carpets, certainly some "rough bits" if you look for it. Shame that there was no "in room" drinks facilities.
hotel was a bit run down and old fashioned and there was renovation work being carried out
Location was very good, close by to the central line.Found the porters helpful with our luggage. At arrival we were given a room that was flooded, a new room was arranged which was the room above also flooded, water on floor, walls the smell and humidity was terrible. The manager arrives and apologize and says that he will give us a new and better room. This room is at main hotel across the road[where you check in on arrival].The room was very small and the layout was terrible. In order to get to the wardrobe you had to drag your luggage across the bed as it was only a few centimeters of space between the end of the bed and the wall.In the bathroom everything was hanging loose from the walls.Breakfast very overpriced at 15pounds.I and my teenaged daugther will not stay here again.
The hotel was cheaper than other options and is reasonably located Rooms are small but useable. The furniture and fittings are of high quality but are aging and are now tatty. The carpet was pealing at the edges and the wood was chipped on a lot of surfaces.
Quiet, clean, not picturesque but OK location. Tea & coffee in room. 5 min walk to tube. Small room, but clean & pleasant. Shower rather than bath. Breakfast wasn't inclusive and cost £9 pre-booked, £12 if not. Irritating. I went 2 mins around the corner for breakfast to a good choice of reasonable cafes. You have to cross the street to the main hotel anyway, so why not take the cheaper option? Take it as a given that all London hotels are over-priced, but the really cheap ones are terrible. Therefore for me this was acceptable. I would consider it again, but continue to search for the perfect london hotel at around £100 night rates. (Surely you should get breakfast for that?)
The staff were excellent and very helpful and the hotel was clean and tidy We asked for two rooms next to each other one was on the 4th floor and was was in a separate part which wasnot accessible by lift this was very disappointing. The weeknd was a present for my friend it was disappointing and not value for money. My bathroom was too small and the tolilet area was so cramped I couldnt even sit properly on the tolilet seat very diappointing for the money it cost.
No information about the reception situated in the Paddington Court Hotel across the street. No heater turned on when I arrived to the hotel, which meant it was very cold in the room. No information about how to turn on the heater in the bathroom. Asked the first morning for a blanket, didn't get any during my 6 nights stay at the hotel.
It was clean, room small but cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect
I stayed there for the convenience to take the Heathrow Express; it took me only 30 minutes from the hotel to Heathrow Terminal 3 with 2 pieces of luggages. Superb location!!! The room is really small for a twin; we could not even open our suitcase flat!!!
Location - close to Paddington Station for direct access to airport and very convienient to Hyde Park and tube stations Tv was very unresponsive to the remote control - we were not there to watch TV so was not a major drama but when we wanted to watch the news it was very frustrating trying to access channels
very clean, speacious, underfloor heating in bathroom people need to know that you check in at the hotel across the street
Tidy and clean room. Water pressure in bathroom is very very poor. Water cold and it would take an hour to run a bath.
The room was comfortable and clean. The walls were well sound-proofed and we had a quiet night. The breakfast was adequate.
Staff @ reception were attentive - our room was extremely hot and heating was centrally controlled so we couldn't operate it from the room. Receptionist turned off heating and our 2nd night was much more comfortable. Room too hot but rectified immediately we asked for heating to be turned off - central control only.
It is very central, the stuff are very nice and helpful. The services are good Rooms are a bit small and a bit noisy
Reliability, no queues for breakfast, adequate breakfast to start off a new day, staff all knowing what to do and having practical answers to all querries, good feeling when returning from a long london day, all facilities working effectively even if without frills. Our best hotel experience in 25 years of annual visits to the capital Not much really, poor tv channel choice perhaps and need to organise space well as the room is comfortable for only one large piece of luggage, but nothing compared with some rooms in other hotels we experienced in the past.
Room was comfortable, warm and quiet. The location is really good with being only minutes away from both Bayswater and Queensway Tube (just a few shops apart from each other).
I asked for a quiet room and got one. Zero noise, except for that of doors closing in the corridor, which is unavoidable. This is the quietest hotel I have found in London, after many tries, and I will definitely return. Also, the reception staff are all exceptionally pleasant and obliging.
clean room very small bedroom and a little shabby tho clean
The locationi was great and the room was larger than I expected. The bathroom was modern and very functional. Some of the staff left something to be desired in the way of customer service.
Great value for money
The location was perfect for me. Two tube stops very close accessing the Circle, District, and Central lines. Ten minutes walk to Kensington Palace; both Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are across the road. There are many ethnic restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Nice Shopping Center 10 minutes walk. Very good ice cream shop next door! Nothing
Hotel was a ideal location for London with underground next door
Location was great! My room was very small over looking the AC units on the roof but I was on the 1st floor. Bathroom was also very small. I wouldn't choose to stay more then one night unless they have bigger rooms
Right across from Kensington Palace Price of hotel does not include airport shuttle. Airport shuttle has to be arranged in advance or at the airport. The room we stayed in was so small it could barely contain our luggage and ourselves at the same time. Shower is trecherous. View from window was the next building's rooftop mechanical system. Front desk not very helpful.
the staff were really helpful and friendly i found the room a little hot and didn't want to listen to air con all night (but this was just a small thing
The staff was very friendly. I arrived around 11:30 and my room was ready. The room was small by American standards, but expected size for London. It was well appointed with nice linens and a lovely bathroom. The window faced an interior roof space, and not Hyde Park, but this is pretty minor in the scheme of things.
Staff is helpful. Very close to tube. couple of pubs not far. Hyde Park across the street. !!! During a breakfast thieves stole a bag from a coupple in the !!! restaurant. Victims were foreigners. Lost all their money and !!! passports. Got a lot of troubles instead of having fun.
proximity to tube station and hye park
The location and staff on check in were great Furnshings in our room were a bit dated.
It is not noisy, very quiet No every things good .
The location was great (next to the tube and on the other side of the street Kensington Park). Breakfast was also very good! Perfect place to stay for a city trip! Bathroom little old, everything works but it is a little bit old
I appreciated the level of cleanliness, though there was still room for improvement cleaning the floors and carpets and table surfaces. But most valued was the hotel's total non-smoking policy. It was this policy plus reviewers' comments that the place was clean that made me decide to stay there. And compliments to the wait staff of the restaurant -- great attitudes and promptness. I was really disappointed about the bed. When sitting or lying on it, the mattress had zero support. I could feel the boards of the frame beneath the mattress. Also, the furniture in the room was rather worn and shabby with complete pieces of the wood being broken off a table and chips and discoloration on other pieces.
Very clean and friendly staff It was a little bit cold because of the windows which couldn't be properly close.
Very clean and warm room, friendly and obliging staff, super breakfast, quiet room, feeling of safety. My daughter would have liked baked beans at breakfast.
The room was well appointed. The bathroom was spacious. The room was clean. The breakfast room was bright. The breakfast was good. The service was friendly, efficient and polite. The location was convenient. The room was generally quiet. the carpets on the stairs and corridors are a bit institutional. There was slight noise disturbance from the room above, though otherwise fine.
have stayed at this hotel earlier this year, & was so satisfied with the facilities & friendly staff that decided I will always stay at this hotel when I visit London-as soon as you enter the reception area, there is a homely & welcoming atmosphere.
Location, good size rooms (the suite was value for money!) A really nice breakfast..... great way to start the day! Would stay here again for sure!
close to access to city centre room on the small side
The English breakfast was outstanding. The eggs and side dishes are cooked to order, so they are always piping hot. The toast is crispy and there is a choice of white or whole wheat. There was an electrical problem Sunday morning, but everyone was scrambling to fix it, so this is unusual. What I didn't like was the way my credit card was charged for two separate transactions upon check-in. In the past, I paid with one transaction at the end of my stay. This procedure is preferable.
Vvery clean and pleasant staff. Excellent breakfast. Creaking floorboards
Personnel very friendly, rooms very clean, reasonably spacious and quiet. Good shower. Good location (within easy walking distance of two subway stations and two bus stations). Continental breakfast buffet without any cheese or cold cuts. Slowest elevator ever.
Confortable room a bit far from stations
location the room was crowded
Nice Room, Nice price
Despite an error with the booking of our rooms, the hotel staff made every effort to compensate for the inconvenience. The hotel was comfortable, and situated in a very good location for visitng central London. The rooms were smaller than expected, perhaps in need of refurbishment in the near future.
freindly slightly worn hotel excellent value
Lack of conceirge services, lack of porters to carry luggage, lack of international news (CNN, CNBC...etc) or sport channels in the rooms.
We found all of the staff very friendly and accomodating. The room was equipped as advertised and very clean. daily linen and towel change was also welcomed. The bar at the hotel was not open for long enough, it would have been nice to sit in the bar for a night cap.
Wonderful location and view on Hyde Park Pretty and large room It was very hot and did not cool down when the weather did No news channel on TV. The breakfast buffet was average.
The temperature in the hotel was too high.
Good position, convenient, friendly staff and trhe hotel has parking facilities (unusual in Central London
position bed and breakfast
It was close to Paddington and economical Beds not comfortable, rooms to hot and a bit run down, service a bit distant.
The price and location were the best part of the 3 night experience. The inclusive buffet breakfast had all the bases covered. The room was overall well kept by the housekeeping staff. The room was tiny, and the window opened to the view of bricks and concrete. I didn't mind as I wasn't expecting anything else for the price. However, I did feel a lack of breathable air at night due to the room size. I'm average build and found it too small. Also, the walls need a lick of paint...
The location was OK, and that is the only good thing about this hotel. Queens Park Hotel is simply the worst Hotel that I have been to. When I checked in, they assigned me a room between 2 floors, where I could barely fit my carry on bag and a large bag. After a complaint, they gave me a somewhat larger room. However, everything in the room was old, it was stinky, and uncomfortable. Furthermore, it did not have A/C, which was needed. When I wanted to purchase the wifi service, they told me that it was not working. I would never recommend Queens Park Hotel to anybody.
Staffs are very friendly, reasonable price, very close to tube, breakfast is good. Lifts are quite old and small.
Location near the park Breakfast self service area was not clean, public areas worn and tired. Rooms very small. bathroom not big enough to get chnaged in
Dirty hotel. No air conditionned in our room. Only a little broken window. Our bedroom were in the basement, not very confortable.
Close to underground stations, restaurants and shops. Room was in basement, very stuffy. Airconditioning was one speed, either your'e too cold or too hot. No instructions for lockable safe for valubles. There wasn't a phone directory next to the phone so you didn't know what number to call for anything. Noisy people in other rooms. Housekeeping forgot to provide clean towels one day after taking the dirty ones. Room key had to be reactivated everyday in order for it to work.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night but for £1 we could leave our bag so we could shop the next day. They were very happy for us to sit in reception until it was time to get our train home as well.
I liked the fact breakfast was included. Please change breakfast items, same thing daily. Ugh. No air conditioning in our room. Paid for wifi and had to use it in the lobby. Would not go back! Outdated, things falling apart.
Fantastic value for money, room was decent, fantastic location, would definitely recommend to anyone on a budget.
The value for money and helpfulness of the staff along with the very convenient location for the Royal Albert Hall. Nothing
Great proximity to Paddington Station. Room was small, but exactly as advertised and adequate for our needs. People tend to congregate outside the front of the row of hotels along this area and noice carries. Someone needing an early night would be wise to request a room not overlooking front of hotel.
I requested a quiet room as the hotel is on a busy road and was pleased to find that I had been given one. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. The breakfast room was a bit dingy (basement level).
Reception staff were very helpful.
The proximitry to Paddington station and the availability of buses and tubes to get around London
2 minutes walk from Paddington station. Quiet area. I got free Wi-Fi from a neighboring public access point. The single room was extremely small.
Room was cold
Location and facilities compared to the other hotels. Very nice and helpfull staff. Small room.
Great location near to Paddignton Station and Heathrow Express train. Safe neighbourhood even at night. Excellent check in, was happy to receive my room before actual check in time Rooms were small, but it was very good for short stay. Early Breakfast would have been nice because of my very early departure.
The hotel was very convenient for underground transport and Paddington main line station, there were also plenty of restaurants nearby. There was nothing we found to dislike bearing in mind the price paid.
The reception staff were all very friendly and chatty. and it was in easy reach of tube stations, plenty of places to eat and drinkn close by.
It was a very convenient hotel with its location to Paddington Station, clean, excellent staff and good surroundings, big car park at the front of the hotel.
Westpoint Hotel is a small hotel in a very good location. All considered, value for money is fair. There are not facilities in the hotel. For example there is not a service bar in the room, there is non any bar in the hotel and breakfast is a bit poor.
The friendlyness of the staff and the proximity to Paddington station. The quietness of the room in a busy city.
Staff friendly and helpful Noisy
The Westpoint is a budget hotel, liked the location near Paddington Station and it was fine for 1 night. It was exactly what I expected, small single room, very limited amenities, for the amount I paid.
the check-in and check out process was quick. the location of the hotel was great - near a tube, shops and a nice pub. there was a lift and free internet. The room was very clean. sometimes there was no hot water to shower or wash the face. the bathroom was very small. A little too expensive for what you get.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. I booked a double room for single occupancy but it would have been quite small for two! The room was clean, warm and quiet.
Good location, i liked the big bathroom, bigger than many other london hotels. Helpful personel. If your breakfast buffet was full english, it would have been great! Could have been a bigger TV on the room with more channels. ;)
