I only stayed overnight, however,I was impressed with the courteous manner afforded me during my brief stay Although I did'nt use car parking facility,I would object to paying £20 per night
Comfortable, clean , with efficient staff. Pleasant bar area for relaxing in. Quiet and safe area for walking to and from tube.
Quiet, clean, friendly staff and near conference venue Nothing
Room excellent and staff very helpful.
Restaurant had very nice ambiance. I had to pay for Internet and it was to far away from the nearest tubestation.
The hotel staff are very friendly from the porter, to the reception, to the restaurant staff, etc. I wish the safe deposit box is inside the room and the hotel temperature is cooler. Also the room 621 where I was staying is kind of an old one, so the bath tub is not very good looking. This needs to be renovated.
location to the west end..strand for shows, only took 15mins on bus, which had a pick up /drop off point next to hotel Size of bed for two people and the only one chair, which wasn't that comfortable ( other chair was an computor chair).Room was on tenth floor.. Noise through window which didn't really close correctly, quite a strong draft. We needed to close curtains to reduce draft. Air conditioner appeared to have a mind of its own....lol
Staff were very helpful Background music in the bar and restauarant too loud
Location & Cleanliness. Staff polite and well mannered. No complimentary breakfast. Tourism information was satisfactory.
Comfortable, well appointed rooms, friendly staff, fantastic location by Lord's cricket grounds and Regents Park.
cleaning services outstanding, staff at the reception, rooms have been renovated, central location, easy ride by bus to the city center, peaceful and quite, nearby grocery stores, quick ride by taxi to Paddington This was my fifth time staying at Danubius over a four year period. My impression is that the management has been increasingly paying attention to customer satisfaction. and it has worked out to a great extent. I am not sure whether the smaller older rooms at the back facing the ragby court have been renovated though, but the ones facing Regents and the train rails are much better now. I was disappointed though by the room service. The food quality is very low, but I guess they are not interested in delivering this. Also, this is something totally subjective. However, what I experienced from the staff (she was a blonde east-European young lady) was ridiculous: let's say that your food cost 13 pounds and you give 15 pounds waiting for 2 pounds back... well forget it! I think she implicitly believes she needs a 2 pounds tip and since the amount is so small I didn't follow up. Then, the second time I gave 20 pounds waiting 7 back, and I had to call the reception after 30 min to ask for the change. They apologized and said that she will give me back the whole amount, and if I want I can leave a tip. Well not really, she kept again a tip without asking. I have to say that this is not the case for all the other staff working for room service. Tip: make sure you leave an account open when you check in at the reception so that you can avoid all this.
The breakfast is great, not to be missed, delicious bacon and eggs, fresh fruit, pastries, and lovely friendly staff in the dining room. Very good value, £10 for guests.
Very good and helpful services, the decor is very nicely designed , the room is very pleasent, clean quiet and peacefull. The breakfast was very good but the way they charge was a bit strange for me. For example the buffet breakfast that I took was with out hot drinks so there was extra charge for the tea.
Elegant but not overdone. Peaceful. A private park -- key entry -- across from the hotel for walking and jogging. In Dorset Square I've found my pied-à-terre in london. This trip was for business, but I'll take my wife here next time. A refreshing oasis in the middle of the big city.
Very good people running this hotel. Terrific location if your son or daughter is attending Regents College. Try to arrange for a room in the back. the front rooms that border on the street are a bit like trying to sleep in a suped up coffee grinder.
Location very good. Staff are helpful. Room cold
Small, clean hotel. Stations and center nearby Small rooms, poor breakfast
Good continental breakfast, clean and tidy room, bathroom being en suite. Lots of quality tv channels Wi-Fi Internet access was promised/advertised for the whole hotel but there was no signal in our room. I had to go to the stairs to catch a signal.
Nice breakfast. The noise from the traffic on street below was so loud, I requested a room at back of hotel away from noise and this was not noted. There was no hot water in the morning for my shower. Although there are tea and coffee making facilities at reception there is none in the room which is ridiculous when paying £80 per night.
Excellent value for money - modern, clean, comfortable beds, quiet and superb shower. All you need on a business trip None - Really impressed and great location for West London
Nice breakfast, shower stayed cold for very long time, very small single room with cramped bathroom
Clean, comfort room, polite staff No elevator,no aircondition
Location, helpful staff My first room was cold, and the advertised wifi was no good. signal too weak, but on request they moved me.
3 minutes walk from Baker street underground station, quite street only 10 minutes with the underground to sentrum of London, cheap, its all about the location. Hot inside, no automatic change of towels, the room were not properly cleaned, breakfast just with ham and butter, cornflakes with milk, no safe in the room, no hairdryer, curtains were damaged, and the tv had three channels, but all with "snowflakes" on the screen, 24/7 reception desk personal did not happen, but you could call a number and talk to someone at the hotel if you needed answers, even when you should check out no one stood there so you just left the doorcard on the desk.
The only thing about this hotel that I didn’t dislike was the location. Situated in central London, just off of Baker Street means it’s very easy to get almost anywhere in the city. Plus you’re only a two minute walk from the nearest tube station. This hotel is grimy and in some places just plain dirty, the staff are immensely rude and because this hotel is situated above an Indian restaurant it does tend to smell in the evening.
the location it was dirty need a lick of paint toilet was disgusting,tv didnt work we had the bottom of the kettle and no top part and i didnt even stay for breakfast wasnt that brave
The location of the Hotel was great. It was a bit grubby - ok if your'e used to camping, but wouldn't recommend it to folk who prefer something a little more luxurious.
Good location Very small room no working T.v
The location was great Was expecting basic but hotel rooms were very shabby with threadbare carpets, torn curtains, very few facilities no tv & a kettle no one would use.
The manager was very friendly and helpful when we let him know we would be changing hotels. Our room was nothing like the photos. It was very old and run down. It smelled like urine in the bathroom, which made the entire unit stink, and you could not sit on the toilet without resting your arm on the bathtub. (And I am a very small person.) There were holes in the walls and in the window large enough that a bird could come through easily if it wanted. No wifi in the rooms, and due to construction they were no offering breakfast. We were very disappointed and had to find anot her hotel with no notice which was very expensive.
its a dump its a dump
The price. Proximity to Regent's Park. Helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Lift to first three floors. Not too far from Baker Street and Baker Street Station. There was little we didn't like as long as we reminded ourselves that we weren't paying more. Cramped room and shower. No air conditioning. Restaurants, underground, etc. all require a walk. Noisy schoolgirls can help make it an early morning.
friendly staff at the desk, very helpfull and cheerfull. gave tips and pointers for our visit. no
it was very handy for the baker street tube station. the staff were very friendly the carpets were scruffy and in need of renewing
The people are so kind and helpfull! The dinner and breakfast is an excellent value for money! The only minor thing I could say is the bathroom is a bit cold in the morning and the shower does't always provide hot water.
Very good value. Fortunately I was there on a Sunday night and it was quiet. Everything is beautifully maintained and staff is welcoming and most helpful. If you have heavy bags, the stairs are narrow and steep, but this is not a major issue.
Excellent room - exactly what we wanted / expected. Clean and comfortable and in good position for visiting london. Would have prefered breakfast to be served a bit later, but this does vary between hotels so not really a criticism, just a point.
The staff is extremely kind and helpful narrow stairs to reach rooms
The room was ok, the neighboorhood very quit, it almost seems to be in a village. The thai food in the pub was excellent! noise from the pub (music) but it stopped at 11.20 pm.
Small and friendly. Quiet but very handy. Nice Thai food available but lots of other restaurants nearby. As a solo female (and quite pregnant) traveller I felt well looked after. I couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work on my I-Pod.
Great location, friendly staff The bar food wasn't great and there was a smell of cigarette smoke from the curtains
The breakfast was very complete and served at the pub. It's a very nice experience. It's a little far from the tube station.7 or 8 blocks.
Friendly Helpful Staff, Nice Breakfasts.
We liked the location - it was a pleasant walk to the tube station and the high street. The staff were friendly and the room and bathroom were spacious. The beds were too soft. It was fine for a couple of nights, but....and the next time we will stay downstairs to enjoy the music till the end (11;30 pm) before heading to our room which was directly above the music.
