Room excellent and staff very helpful.
Comfortable, well appointed rooms, friendly staff, fantastic location by Lord's cricket grounds and Regents Park.
I only stayed overnight, however,I was impressed with the courteous manner afforded me during my brief stay Although I did'nt use car parking facility,I would object to paying £20 per night
Comfortable, clean , with efficient staff. Pleasant bar area for relaxing in. Quiet and safe area for walking to and from tube.
The hotel staff are very friendly from the porter, to the reception, to the restaurant staff, etc. I wish the safe deposit box is inside the room and the hotel temperature is cooler. Also the room 621 where I was staying is kind of an old one, so the bath tub is not very good looking. This needs to be renovated.
Quiet, clean, friendly staff and near conference venue Nothing
location to the west end..strand for shows, only took 15mins on bus, which had a pick up /drop off point next to hotel Size of bed for two people and the only one chair, which wasn't that comfortable ( other chair was an computor chair).Room was on tenth floor.. Noise through window which didn't really close correctly, quite a strong draft. We needed to close curtains to reduce draft. Air conditioner appeared to have a mind of its own....lol
Staff were very helpful Background music in the bar and restauarant too loud
Location & Cleanliness. Staff polite and well mannered. No complimentary breakfast. Tourism information was satisfactory.
Restaurant had very nice ambiance. I had to pay for Internet and it was to far away from the nearest tubestation.
cleaning services outstanding, staff at the reception, rooms have been renovated, central location, easy ride by bus to the city center, peaceful and quite, nearby grocery stores, quick ride by taxi to Paddington This was my fifth time staying at Danubius over a four year period. My impression is that the management has been increasingly paying attention to customer satisfaction. and it has worked out to a great extent. I am not sure whether the smaller older rooms at the back facing the ragby court have been renovated though, but the ones facing Regents and the train rails are much better now. I was disappointed though by the room service. The food quality is very low, but I guess they are not interested in delivering this. Also, this is something totally subjective. However, what I experienced from the staff (she was a blonde east-European young lady) was ridiculous: let's say that your food cost 13 pounds and you give 15 pounds waiting for 2 pounds back... well forget it! I think she implicitly believes she needs a 2 pounds tip and since the amount is so small I didn't follow up. Then, the second time I gave 20 pounds waiting 7 back, and I had to call the reception after 30 min to ask for the change. They apologized and said that she will give me back the whole amount, and if I want I can leave a tip. Well not really, she kept again a tip without asking. I have to say that this is not the case for all the other staff working for room service. Tip: make sure you leave an account open when you check in at the reception so that you can avoid all this.
The breakfast is great, not to be missed, delicious bacon and eggs, fresh fruit, pastries, and lovely friendly staff in the dining room. Very good value, £10 for guests.
Proximity to the tube station. The decor in the rest of the hotel looked shabby. The room itself was acceptable.
London Sightseeing Not in the most relaxed area of London.
Very close to edgeware tube station. Just 10 minutes on tube to Oxford street or picadilly. Well located for shopping or going to a show. Edgeware road is very busy with traffic and there is a police station located just down the road so there is alot of road noise and scirens going all night. Rooms can be a little small and the air con unit works but not very well. I took out the filters and they were blocked completely and this helped but the room was very warm and stuffy.
It was close to Oxford street and to the tube. Clean rooms.Simple but nice breakfast It was a bit cold and we asked for an extra blanket. But was told that there is a problem with it.
Breakfast is exellent, great variety. Room is clean and good size. Inexpensive and good restaurants close.
The hotel; the front of the buidling isn't the most appealing however I was pleasantly surprised at the inside layout which was very much like a small hotel with carpeted floors and door numbers. The reception area was small but adequate. Our room was clean and the bathroom was bright and tidy. good shower! Basic room however perfectly adeqaute for a city break (we stayed 3 nights) Was pleased with the fresh towels and maid service - the room was always tidy on our return at night. Very good location for us as we were attending a Conference at the Hilton Metropole and within easy reach of the subway - less than a 10 min walk away! The breakfast room was bright and always busy, good selection of drinks, cereals, foods. The reception was not always staffed and the phones in the rooms do not work unless you put a deposit down on arrival. The security of the hotel was also questionable as it seemed anyone could wander in, the reception staff didn't check who entered and left the hotel and the front door was unlocked. I believe they did start locking the front door at night after we relayed our feelings about this to the manager. Apart from this issue there is nothing else I would say I didn't like about my stay.
Clean rooms and facilities, quiet by shot window loud with open window because of Edgware Road
Helpful staff, clean room, good hotel location.
No frills accomodation. Clean & comfortable. Fine for a one night stay. Buffet breakfast was more than adequate. Staff were unwelcoming - in fact the reception on our arrival was almost rude. At least we got a smile when we left the following morning.
The room was very clean. Nice shower. I have no complaint
