About Tapas 44
Tapas 44 (T4P4S) is best described as an upbeat, modern tapas bar, it’s sited in the heart of London's vibrant Fitzrovia on Windmill Street, opposite the Charlotte Street Hotel.
The menu has been designed and is led by Alex Vidal, formerly Head Chef of One Michelin Star Valencian restaurant, SENTS. Taking a refreshingly modern approach using the finest of ingredients, the menu showcases the likes of squid, octopus and presa, plus dishes such as king prawns with a Basque 'Bilbaina' emulsion, beef cheeks in tempranillo plus more exotic specials such as kokotxas (hake cheeks) with chilli & garlic.
At the bar whilst enjoying a refreshingly chilled glass of Estrella Galicia from tap or a glass of wine from a concise, well chosen all Spanish wine list, there’s pintxos to snack on, including txangurro croquetas (spider crab croquettes) with chive mayo. All this and more, plus delightful seasonal veggie options.
