It was easy to get to and find by car, had good access to subway line 7 to times square, the breakfast was convenient.
Our room #104 had bedbugs, and we were bitten during the night. (We saw one on the doorframe in the evening, then in the morning saw some on the wall near the headboard, and found fresh bloodspots on our sheets. We were careful to keep all of our luggage away from the beds and floor, and laundered everything on return home.) We understand it is a problem in New York City, and not related to the cleanliness of the hotel, but we also know how difficult it is to clear an infestation.

They consented to an early check in request as well as a room change to one that we requested but couldn't book previously, Comfortable room and generous parking space.
Although there was a mention of a 24 hour shuttle to the metro, this is no longer accurate. The service is now cab-based and only from 8am to 10pm. Each room can only make use of this service once a day thus there is always the need to walk the 1mile to/fro the metro. Breakfast was a bit plain and only for 3 hrs (6am-9am). My friend could not stand the lack of hot food such as noodles.
Everything was fine; but typical basic Best Western breakfast.
Hotel was a bit run down and old-fashioned though totally adequate and comfortable. It was much further from NY city than I expected which entailed a long walk each end of the day, though the hotel shuttle was useful when we took it - though not available late at night.
Staff seemed very willing to help at every turn. For New York City I would say it was very good for the price
The staff and service are really good wenjoyed it very much.
The only weak point of the hotel, in our opinion, was the elevator, too slow and not realiable.
