Pros: The guest house consists of two guest rooms with private bathroom and a shared equipped kitchen. The room, bathroom and kitchen are new, cosy, warm (in winter) and clean. The breakfast is very good: juice, coffee and tea, homemade varied pastries, fruit, toasts and several types of jam. It is served downstairs, in another nice kitchen/dining room. The host is lovely and very attentive. The guest house is in a very small town close (15min by car) to Vienne and Saint-Romain-en-Gal. You can park the car in the guest house fenced garden.
Cons: A hairdryer in each room would be great!
Pros: Very modern room with large bathroom and comfortable bed. Delicious home made Breakfast. Will definitely recommend to others.
Pros: Beautiful room, extremely comfortable Bed and very clean. We especially liked how peaceful and quiet the surrounding area is, how warm the room was and the pink toilet paper! We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good sleep, relaxing time, great breakfast and total comfort.
Pros: Clean room, large bathroom, modern kitchen, fast internet
Cons: Breakfast = nothing extra
Pros: Very welcoming family. Lovely food and breakfast was superb! The rooms/house really warm and cosy. Definitely raccomended!
Pros: The breakfast was superb and the bed was extremely comfortable. The owners were very friendly - as was the husky dog!
Cons: Directions to the property were poor and the address was in a different town so our sat nav didn't pick it up.
Pros: Great staff. Good breakfast
With a stay at this cottage in Longes, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Pilat Regional Natural Park and Domaine George Vernay. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The welcome fantastic and the rooms were stunning. Fantastic views Great food and brilliant hosts. We loved this hotel and would go back again next time we venture through France.
Pros: Super nice staff. Very good food- excellent chef and menu with very good value . Great flexible staff- location beautiful although far from main road.
Cons: A huge minus was the room we booked had NO window to the outside but to a gym with jacuzzi (that could have been used by anyone). An this for over 140 EUR. This was a bit a disappointment and it should be advertised.
Pros: Great hospitality in an authentic French atmosphere! Rooms are clean and convenient. The restaurant is foreseen of qualityful local products! I highly recommend this place for people who enjoy a relaxing calm place in the nature.
Pros: We stayed in the lower floor two bedroomed apartment which was luxurious and spacious with a characterful bathroom. This offers privacy and very spacious accommodation with brilliant views over the countryside. The hosts were brilliant and extremely welcoming and went to the effort of providing a delicious platter of food when we arrived; even when the restaurant was closed. We then ate in the restaurant the second night and really enjoyed a delicious selection of food. The breakfasts were excellent and freshly prepared. The adjoining field has two donkeys and we enjoyed going to speak to them every day!
Pros: Hospitality of owners quality of the property
Cons: Expected more from breakfast
Pros: nothing this was a waste of time boring
Cons: no wifi no restaurant choice(only one "plate" tv programs only in french
Pros: Diner and breakfast were exceptional. The hosts are extremely friendly, you feel home. A fantastic view.
Cons: Bed a little bit hard for me.
Pros: Great room with very comfortable bed. Superb bathroom/shower. Excellent breakfast and restaurant with very good wine card. Very friendly hosts.
Pros: The facilities were a standout. From the gym to the bed, the bathrooms and the views. The help from Elisabeth whom was on site was special :).
Cons: We were there on a Monday and Tuesday, so the onsite restaurant was closed. It was a little bit of a trek to the town down the mountain for a meal.
When you stay at Hotel le Bellevue in Les Roches-de-Condrieu, you'll be near the beach, within a 15-minute drive of Temple d'Auguste et de Livie and Theatre Antique. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: We particularly enjoyed the view from our window, the kindness and warm welcome of the staff, the food. Although it is located in a village which was basically empty when we arrived (no place where we could have a drink in the area), the hotel was equipped with everything we needed (a bar and a terrace with a gorgeous view, a restaurant with good food and an extraordinary selection of wines).
Cons: I was surprised to see that the hotel charged us with 12 euros for the baby crib we had previously asked for (the email we received from the hotel via booking.com did however mention the extra fee).
Pros: Great place wonderful view and lovely staff also the food is exceptionally good.
Pros: Nice hotel in a great situation, superb welcome, nice food, who can ask more.
Pros: The possission at the river
Cons: The food was not as good as we hoped
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable and well equipped room Very good value for money
Pros: Lovely location. Small family run hotel. Good food and wine. Helpful staff.
Cons: Did not like the TV on in the small sitting room which was the only area to have a quiet drink. Despite being very warm weather, the outside space was not in use.
Pros: the food was excellent the service swift and cheerful we felt welcome the room comfortable and clean
Pros: I drove from London that day and had planned to stay at this hotel on way to the FRENCH Riviera and rest. The ability to have my fully loaded car in and. Locked garage and the ability to have a good dinner without further driving was enticing. All was absolutely perfect!
Pros: Great check in and check out
Located in Saint-Paul en Jarez, Hôtel Restaurant Eclosion is within a 15-minute drive of Pilat Regional Natural Park and Zoological Area Saint-Martin La Plaine. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely room and outstanding food
Pros: The Room itself was ok.
Cons: The room was on the third floor with no elevator. There was not even a bottle of water for us there. I may be way off when I say that if you book a room on a chateau with restaurant you would expect that they have a table for a paying guest. And if one would not eat there they could sell it. But no ! Whole restaurant was booked they said. So don’t expect the royal treatment at this place. That is reserved for people who pay twice the price that you get on a good day with booking.com. For what it was ok.
Pros: Very comfortable and spacious boutique room. The restaurant is fabulous, but ensure you book a table when booking the room if you intend to eat.
Pros: The staff were lovely and the hotel and grounds beautiful.
Cons: Breakfast was €14 for some bread fruit & cereal. No eggs, even boiled. Far too expensive for what we had to eat & in comparison with other hotels. I could not connect to the internet at all
Pros: Recently renovated “chateau”, not far from the Route Du Soleil. A great stopover for travelers on their way to the South of France. Rooms are very reasonable priced, and prices vary by room. Nice garden and lounge sets. The restaurant offers a exquisite menu, ranging from 8 course set menu to an extensive tasting menu. Eu 58 for the 8 course tasting experience is real good value for money.
Cons: The staff focuses on the restaurant. The hotel could do with a bit more TLC. Guests appreciate a smile. A bit of tidying up the garden and putting the cushions on the lounge sets just makes the difference between perfect and sloppy.
Pros: Very nice Chateau and great view from the room! Garden has a beautiful lake. Very nice breakfast, very good coffee
Cons: Room had very cheap renovations. Just a lot of cardboard. Shower stood in the room. Even the toiletseat was the cheapest you could buy in the shop....
Pros: Room very contemporary and very comfortable bed. Breakfast included.
Cons: The Booking.com site mentions this is a restaurant with rooms but does not make it clear that this is a Michelin starred restaurant and that unless booking weeks in advance there is no chance of getting a table in the restaurant. What's more the hotel is not in the nicest area and there are no other eating options in walking distance. The staff were "OK" but frankly had no interest in us as "hotel customers" without a restaurant booking. The chef had absolutely no interest in being flexible with a hotel guest to find a place for them to eat. I don't think that the organisation should be advertising this as hotel accommodation without a very strong health warning about no food being available.
Pros: The restaurant was exceptional
Pros: Convenient to the autoroute, big room, quit, good price, restaurant a bit expensive, but what a meal very good and special ,gourmet chef. Restaurant concept unique 3 types of presentations first: 8 dishes 58.- second:10dishes 78.- and third:12 dishes 92.- wine extra but could be included with 4 glasses for each choice for extra price. We were modest and had the first choice it was very good, small plates, and tasty a great experience if you want to use your tastebuds.
Cons: The shower water pressure a bit low
Pros: The restaurant in Eclosion is excellent.

Pros: The hotel, once I received an upgrade was delightful, if a little too expensive.
Cons: The restaurant. Fabulous service, way too expensive!
Pros: Everything 2nd visit
Cons: Not always possible to stay in main building this time we did and in future would always request
Pros: Both I am my wife are disabled and, without exception, the staff were outstandingly helpful and friendly, including arranging for us to have a room with facilities for the disabled and helping in every way at breakfast and dinner. The restaurant is excellent; and the views from it over the Rhone are beautiful and enhance the dining experience - and having breakfast.
Pros: Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and served on the terrace which was lovely.Nice hotel, not as splendid as the Domaine du Colmbier, more traditonal.Dinner was great.
Cons: Disappointed when asked staff to help me with air conditioner system got a curt reply.
Pros: Comfortable bed and excellent accommodation. Very attentive staff and superb restaurant. Fabulous location and very relaxing atmosphere.
Cons: Breakfast was a great letdown compared to the lunch and dinner offered. Coffee was weak and no fruit juices. Buffet selection was very average and not up to expectations.
Pros: The location was excellent, right on the river, and the breakfast terrace was particularly attractive. The room was extremely spacious with both open and enclosed balconies.
Pros: The hotel, the location and the ambience
Cons: The restaurant is very expensive and the food only average. The breakfast is poor and certainly not worth €19
Pros: Beautiful setting by the river. Dining was a lovely experience. Very friendly staff.
Cons: No shower except above the bath. The rooms were old fashioned. The hotel tried to charge for 3 breakfasts which we didn’t have.
Located in Ampuis, Hôtel Le Domaine des Vignes is in a rural location, within a 15-minute walk of Pilat Regional Natural Park and E. Guigal. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Pleasant staff and very helpful
Cons: The breakfast was very poor
Pros: Incredible hospitality.
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable. But all the beds in France seem to be like that. Different than in America.
Pros: Location,. Large room
Cons: Breakfast was weak for the price. This should be included, not an extra charge. They should invest in shower curtains so you can bathe standing up.
Pros: Location from highway, very good stop-over
Cons: Few restaurants on walking distance
Pros: Nice good looking hotel, French style. Very friendly staff Good facilities for our dog
Cons: Price high for a local hotel in France - in comparison
Pros: Great staff, warm and welcoming.
Cons: Facility decor was dated and very institutional for what one would expect in the setting at the price.
Pros: Good location, clean hotel. Friendly staff, and reasonable price.
Cons: Breakfast was only moderate and quite expensive.
Pros: Great wine tasting from the owners vineyard. Welcoming staff. Breakfast was good value and choice. Hotel was clean and room spacious with good views. Nice garden to relax in. Good location because we had a car.
Cons: Just one thing, the standby light of the t.v., during the night it’s too bright. But that is the fault of the t.v. makers, not the hotel.
Pros: l'hôtel ne vaut pas son prix! Place the money not worth.
Pros: The sheets were clean
Cons: For the price the hotel is exceedingy bad value. The room was small and smaller than the one for which we paid forty euros less the night before. The photo of the hotel makes it look as though it is in a vinyard. It cleverly doesn't show the busy main road.

Cons: Small and dated bathroom
Pros: Location was perfect, great for an evening stroll after a long drive. The former monastery setting made it a memorable evening.
Cons: I guess the stairs were a little narrow and spiral (it is a very old building after all), but then I guess my bag was a bit excessive for just a one night stay!
