Pros: Excellent guesthouse with remarkable personal service. No fault. Lovely setting, slightly far out for pedestrians but got lift to town from Marion. I was blessed to have John Reynolds as a tour guide and I'd recommend him to any tour group interested in the culture, history and lore of Leitrim. Family dogs an added bonus but not intrusive if you are peculiar enough not to like dogs. It was raining so I spend a few hours writing in the breakfast room. Delighted to receive complementary coffee, sandwiches and biscuits at 11am! Lots of personal touches.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: - Wonderful staff, especially Kevin delivered a prime example of hospitality. He made our trip even more special. - Great atmosphere.
Cons: - The 3 course dinner could be a little bit more "glamorous", it was missing the little extra to make it special. Maybe a visit from the chef or something "on the house". - The walled gardens are much less spectacular than the advertising/descriptions make it seem. I wonder why anyone would pay to see them.

Pros: Staff were really pleasant and helpful. Our luggage was delayed by Aerlingus/Stoddart. People at hotel went out of their way to help and gave us toiletries. Great breakfast too! Wish we had time to stay longer. Everything was just great. First class facilities, meals and services.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfectly suitable and a great welcome to Ireland. Top atmosphere.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: My arrival time was delayed and I rang ahead to advise of this. The hotel prepared food and kept it for my late arrival. Food was excellent. Lovely room, cleanliness excellent. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful.
Cons: I was stuck as the choice of hotels in Longford is poor. So, I stayed at Keenan's. Costs were 25% too high, however the quality was excellent.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location beautiful beside the River Shannon. Restaurant was buzzing and the food delicious. Couldn't figure out why the garden area was closed off, on such a beautiful sunny evening.
Cons: The bathroom is fitted out for disabled users. Hence the mirror is too low, when drying your hair and the shower head too low as we are very tall ! The shower is a wet room as it is custom built for disability which is wonderful but the water was making it's way to the carpet so I put a towel against the door. A disability bathroom is a unique selling point for the hotel and I think it should be better highlighted when booking a room. We booked a deluxe room at €135 WITHOUT breakfast and were so disappointed to be on the ground level beside the pathway where all hotel patrons had to walk past to get to their cars and people walking by the riverside could see through the window unless you kept the net curtains closed... but then you cannot see the river view you had paid extra for. Would have been much nicer to have the rooms UPSTAIRS as privacy guaranteed and would have felt more like the deluxe room pictured in the website.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and clean
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was great. The staff were exceptional. Warm and welcoming. The dining service was wonderful; food, and staff, alike. For us, the location was perfect.
Cons: There was an issue with the toilet. Whenever it was flushed, while the tank refilled, it made a very loud buzzing noise. You could hear it even with the bathroom door closed. When the tank was refilled, yhe noise stopped. We were careful not to flush in the middle of the night, for fear it could be heard in adjoining rooms.
7.1 Good
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and the staff were exceedingly helpful.
Cons: My room was freezing due to the heating not working. I was given another room on the second night which was well heated. Apart from the lovely breakfast the food was pretty dire. Soggy batter on fish, totally overcooked vegetables and inedible chips. My friends fared no better with their food choices so alternative eating plans were made.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is lovely. Beautifully kept and the bar is great. The staff are extremely helpful. They couldn’t do enough for us. Check in was very quick and easy. The room which was a twin room was quite large with new furnishings and a great big comfortable armchair. The food and drinks in the bar were nice. Served quickly. We had three kids with us and although they didn’t have a kids menu offered them anything on the menu in a kids portion. We got them the carbonara and they loved it. The swimming pool is great. The pool itself is a nice temperature and very clean. Again the staff there were great.
Cons: Not much to change to be honest. The room was a bit hot and the showers in the pool could do with a scrub but nothing major. Great hotel already booked next stay.
