The staff was very friendly and courteous, the free breakfast was amazing, and the rooms were kept clean and comfortable. The courtyard is a great place to sit quietly and read a book when you're not out and about.
The location wasn't amazing and the parking was not free (but then again good luck finding free parking anywhere in LA).
Everything but ants.
Tried to turn up thermostat but was instructed to plug in small space heater. In a very shady part of town. Problems with the electrical, couldn't run space heater and oscillating fan at the same time. Also while we were there the hotel was tearing up all the old carpet and the smell was horrible. the mattress was also very hard, woke up to the workers each morning hammering and banging away bright and early.
Great deal. Much better than expected. Would stay again for future visits.
It was good service overall and close to the metro and bus lines so getting places was easy and made it nice. The area of town though is not very pretty but it's hollywood
-Proximity to Sunset Blvd., stores, Citywalk. -Friendly staff.
-Overnight Parking was not listed before purchase & super expensive -- $25 per night! -The floors were dirty when we got into room. -The mini refrigerator was not on when we got to the room. -Air conditioning vents had funky smell. -Vending machines had few options & was broken.
This hotel is garbage. We were there for about 40 min at 1030pm.we were laughing but all of a sudden a man came to the door with his hand in a big of chips(looking unprofessional) and said he was from the front desk.. He then proceeded to tell us the next room couldn't sleep. Fine. We kept it down. The next night our toilet flushes for 3 hours and we couldn't sleep... Their solution was to SHUT OFF THE TOILET COMPLETETLY. THIS WAS 337AM.
My boyfriend had to use the lobby bathroom at 4am.then the asked f we wanted to switch rooms at that time of the night. But I had finally fallen asleep. So he obviously refused. Because it was after 4am,. The next morning we argued with the manager.... She kept us waiting then asked what we wanted. I wanted our parking comped.... She gave us 2 nights.... Highly disappointing considering the toilet flooded our bathroom and our belongings got soaked. DO NOT STAY HERE. JUST A SCAM. NO HOSPITALITY!!!!, argued with manager for a while before Giving up. She was nice but clearly full of horse shit. She pissed us off alot and almost ruined out trip. Try having your stuff soaked in toilet water at 4am and being told "sorry we will make sure it won't happen to the next person" these people need a refresher course..... I time.
Lots of places on site to spend time. Courtyard, pool area, 3rd floor patio, and dining area. If we had planned to spend more time at the hotel. You can see there has been an effort for upgrading the rooms with higher end finishes. The breakfast was great, lots of choices with omlets to order. Close to subway to take to Universal and Hollywood.
The woman at the check in counter was snobby. And the internet went down when i was checking in and i had to wait 30 mins to complete. They did give us the key to the room while we waited. $20 a night to park!!! The area outside doesnt look good for family.
Hotel staff were friendly and flexible. The hotel was very old and one of the original hotels in the area, offering a rather extensive complementary breakfast with an omelet bar. The room was small but offered a nice view of a courtyard with a fountain.
The bathroom was rather small with a shower that was definitely not designed for someone over six feet.
Room was quiet.
Tv stopped working three times.
Good value, good location for us on Sunset in Hollywood. Travertine floors were a bit sterile in the room ( no carpet) and heat was inadequate.
The breakfast was very nice , all kind of things to eat. Room was clean. A lot of towels . Location 5 min from walk of fame .
Car parking -23$ a day , didn't knew it before . In my opinion a hotel should give free Parking
The fresh renovations and polite workers. It was a little dusty from the work. But it was such a cute room. We loved it here. And for sure want to come back. The free breakfast was perfect too.
