Staff was ecellent Parking a little too expensive
Hotel was beautiful! Staff was friendly and attentive. Location was fantastic! Our room had a phenomenal view of the Hollywood sign. Pool was gorgeous. All in all, it was the best experience we could have hoped for on our first trip to Tinseltown.
The hotel was located in a perfect location. I was close to everything I wanted to be near. The pool and other facilities was the best. The room was also very cozy.
The staff was great. It was right in the middle of Hollywood, nice and clean. Loved the shopping connected to it.
IT WAS OUR FIRST TIME TO CALIFORNIA FOR MY WIFE AND I ,WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE HOTEL .HOW SPOTLESS EVERYTHING WAS.THE MEN IN THE CONCEIER DESK CHRIS,AND NINO WHERE VERY HELPFUL.THE BUFFET BREAKFEAST WAS THE BEST.
As soon as we stepped out of the car we were treated with such surprising care. The man at valet, Ever (that's his name- EVER, how cute is that?) was so nice that my fiancée and I looked at each other and just shook our heads and laughed. We weren't used to customer service like this. We went to check in early, 1pm, and Melanie at the front desk was able to upgrade us to a corner suite! The entire staff was so professional but without being too stuffy. The hotel was beyond our expectations. Not a big deal but there was one little Q-tip outside our room for our stay. We kind of joked that they gave us the Q-tip suite. We also couldn't find coffee in the morning inside the hotel. We had our coffee maker in the room but needed more and didn't want to pay $15 for a pot of coffee at the restaurant.
The staff was amazing!! So helpful! The rooms were very comfortable!! The beds were great!! We had a room with a view, and it was fantastic. The one big thing that I didn't like was, that there was no fridge in the room. We asked for one and got one for a small charge. The other only thing I didn't like was, that there was no microwave in the room.
Full service, location. I booked and paid for a Deluxe King Room with view of Hollywood sign. I received a room near the elevators with a constant machine and elevator running noise. I asked to be moved and was told someone would be right up and after 10 minutes I grew tired of waiting and went down to the front desk. This was already 11PM. I was taken to a new room that had an adjoining door with a party going on in the adjacent room. I asked to be moved AGAIN, eventually to a room with queen bed. The beds were too soft for my taste. There was a curly hair on the soap dish in the shower. I will never stay there again.
Loved the location of this hotel. Service was great as well!
The mattresses were too old and lacked firmness.
The staff were very friendly, and helpful when I checked in. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The mini-bar key didn't work, and it would've been nice to have a fridge to keep some drinks in the fridge, but I didn't inquire with the staff, and I assume they would've rectified that for me if I had. Nice and central, so traveling for business doesn't mean limited options for food and amenities.
The Hotel itself is very nice, and the staff were absolutely fantastic.....except for the door guys at Drai's and The Station who I don't believe are actually hotel staff. The arrangement with Drai's itself would make question going back. I paid almost $400 per night and had to (a) wait in line 20 minutes on Sunday just to find out I had to pay $20 pp to go up to the pool and eat lunch.....which itself would have been over $100. We were also told and Friday and Saturday by the doorman at "The Station" (their outdoor lounge) that there was a Private Party and we couldn't come in. We asked Management who told us that our room key should get us in...they straightened it out but the door guy sure didn't like it. The Private party ended up being 20-30 people at one table....the lounge itself wasn't half full. I also emailed Drai's a week in advance of our trip to book dinner and never heard back.
Blinds on the window didn't shut, didn't sleep at all
Having to wait in line to get into drai's
The room was great and the hotel was beautiful, the place made me feel special. Also the gym was well equipped and specious. The staff were great too. The room wasn't cheap which is fine it was a top quality hotel, but on top of that were so many extras e.g. internet, parking and not even one complementary bottle of mineral water ($9).
Room service was fast and delicious. May have just been our room (2nd floor overlooking an outdoor area for dogs), but I was awoken throughout the night by loud noises coming from outside and the hallway.
After my first stay, I was hooked and have stayed at the Redbury 2x per year for the past several years...rooms are spacious and the interior design is phenomenal. Kitchen area is perfect for breakfast and light snacking. Redbury is studio style home away from home, love it! Nothing!
Design Paper thin walls
The staff and service personnel were outstanding and friendly. All facilities and the room were clean and well appointed, like-new furnishings everywhere. Management handled all my needs with courtesy and respect. I highly recommend this establishment to others looking for a home away from home, and a happy atmosphere. I have stayed in may places in West Hollywood and near the strip, this is the best value for the money. Breakfast took a little too long to prepare. People on the move would not be able to wait for the service, although the food was excellent.
I enjoyed the simplicity of it all. Great location. Quiet, clean room in the middle of Hollywood. Limited number of rooms. No frills. Quiet, effective airconditioning. Great reception.
Price. You pay for what you get, thin walls and the guy next door busting out to Halo and talking on the phone during all hours of the night.
The best thing about hotel Hollywood was the excellent service and friendly, professional staff. General wear and tear of the room.
Location, staff, cleanliness No Elevator
Comfortable bed, good wifi, fridge and microwave in room, large shower, coin laundry in basement, close to hollywood boulevard and Kodak Theatre. Staff unhelpful and lazy, room was serviced only once in 4 days, toilet got blocked and staff brought plunger and asked if we wanted to unblock it ourselves. Room not soundproofed, woken up early 2 out of 4 mornings by garbage collection. Breakfast very basic and included only bagels, coffee, juice & fruit. Hollywood in general is not a nice part of LA, we felt unsafe walking outside at night - we were even woken up by someone being arrested nearby.
the situation. Really close to the Hollywood bd and universal studios Not really clean but ok
The location is great: 8 min walking distance to the metro red line station and 12 min walking distance to Chinese theater. And its convenient to go to Universal studios. The rate is great: the space of the room is reasonable, including microwave, friger, TV and internet. The staff is really helpful and considerate. It's a wonderful experience for staying in The Hotel Hollywood. None.
It is close to the main streets and you can find restaurants easily nearby. I would say that this is an excellect motel with its value. But they close the door at night and you have to call the manager to open it when you first arrived (and, in our case, the stuff was just sleeping and we have to wait for other residents to come back and open the door for us).
The staff was helpful, while the location was near to the hollywood street where you can go to walk of fame in few mins , it was not also far from METRO / Subway so u can use it to go to Universal City/Studios i can hear ppl on my next room speaking , the breakfast wasnt good at all ,you need to keep your eyes wide open
Nice small hotel, just nearby of Hollywood Blvd. The price was nice too ($57 taxes included). Free (bad) coffee if you like. The young guy of the reception was very friendly. Noises. The town first. The hotel after. The trash ban of the neighbor building was just near of my windows and that's horrible. If someone take a shower on early morning, or make sex, that will wakes you up, sometimes at 5am.
Dustin, the manager, was the absolute best from beginning when I called on the phone to the end. Room was comfortable, clean and totally affordable. Great location. I would definitely come back. There was a bit of mildew on the shower curtain.
Room was massive for a great price. Ideally located for what we had in mind. Quiet for being so close to Hollywood Blvd.
A clean and comfortable apartment with all the necessities. Location was perfect for our needs and others who are there for Hollywood Blvd. For some this might be a little too closed to the grittier side of Hollywood.
The room was small. It smell nasty. The service was horrible. I definitely won't go again and I won't recommend it.
The location and price was a plus! The staff laid back and friendly. A very clean room. The Hollywood bowl is in walking distance or a short cab ride away. I'll be staying here again for sure. If you are an uptight person don't stay here. The $15 parking lot was 2 blocks away and the rooms were very small. Pack light.

The staff was very helpful. It is so close to Hollywood Blvd. It is a quaint place- close to the subway and right in the center of Hollywood. I only intended to stay for a weekend- stretched out my stay longer. Note: no elevators.
It was close to an event I was going to and it is close to sight see and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Staff understood me when I informed them that I was going to be late to check in. The room was not cleaned when I got there.
Very convenient location, easy access to Hollywood and Metro. The building and room were very hot, and the bed was pretty uncomfortable.
The location I wasn't told that they didn't accept American Express after I used it to book the room. I had to pay for parking that was down the street at the gas station. And they were rude
Its a great hotel if you're trying to stay only for a day or two/ Most hotels offer free parking and the fact that you have to pay $15 for there is a little two pricey.
Staff was nice and good about solving problems There were more than average problems.
Parking was a real problem!
No light in hallway, completely dark. Soiled stained mattress with dead insects and tears in seams exposing foam and springs. Strong urine odor. Generally unclean and shabby furnishings.
Uncle and unty who worked at the desk top were very good and just became like family members and the cleaners both were excellent always there when needed and the owners were always around us and took good care of us and let us use the pool thnx guys and thnx to your father and mother we all miss you and will be coming back especially because of because we were treated well The bed and breakfast was included in our package but when we arrived it cracked me up when they said donnuts and coffee I was expecting scrambled egg and toast but never mind because next time I expect a huge discount when I come again next time guys thnx
It is really close to Hollywood Blvd and the Chinese Theatre. There was no hot water in the shower.
The location and parking was excellent. Staff was very nice. The sink in the bathroom was falling off the wall. This should have been repaired before they booked the room. The bathroom was very small. An overweight person would not be able to fit in there.
the water was working and hot the room carpet was filthy, the shower had what look like mold on the ceiling. It was a motel not a hotel
Nothing Hundreds of bedbugs bites!! Couldn't even stay for the whole night
Location of motel was very good. Amenities were in poor condition. Breakfast was a joke. If you have 4 people booked in a room, you would think they could give you 4 towels.
Nothing. I feel partially foolish for not reading the reviews first, but I was looking for the cheapest option. It was $72/night. I was staying 3 nights and splitting the cost with a friend. Our flight got in past midnight so we didn't get to the hotel until after 1:30am. We paid and we were given a plastic card with holes for the key. It was cracked and yet we had to give $20 cash deposit for it. We went to the room and as soon as we opened the door there were red splatters on the wall. I yelped because I thought it t was blood at first, but I think it was something else, maybe a sauce from food. The rest of the room was almost indescribably disgusting. Stains and burns in the covers. The toilet didn't flush. The attendant came up and gave us a plunger to fix it ourselves. That didn't work. After 20 minutes I told the guy we couldn't stay there. He said we had to pay for at least the 1 day since they held the room and we didn't come until late. He said as long as we checked out before 11am we would only checkout the one day. My friend and i uses the rest of the time to call around to other places. Found a hotel 2 blocks away, Saharan motor lodge, only $4 more a night and honestly for the price it was AMAZING! heated pool, wifi, night security and oh yeah, it was CLEAN! When we went to check out at 9am, a new guy was there. He said we had to pay for 2 days since we stayed the night. I ended up arguing with him until he gave me my money back. I have photos, but I don't think I can post them on kayak so I'll put them on yelp, booking.com or where ever else I can put them. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Good Hotel and close to Hollywood tourist attractions.
the front desk was very polite however not very informative and capable of falicitating guests with a reciept the hotel is located on a not so good spot in LA. A local friend informed that it's best to move out and find another more safe hotel. It was camera equipped for safety but that meant that a 17year old kid was just sitting in the back drawing pictures during night supposedly "guarding" the guests...
The room was very big. For the money - it was enough comfort, clean. The location is good for being close to places of interest, but because of location there is a lot of noise late at night. Guests coming to their rooms late and slamming the doors.
locations smell,no have internet access,
Beds extremely uncomfortable and staff not very friendly at all. I attempted to call the front desk several times when we first arrived but no answer what's so ever (almost as if the guy at the front desk avoided talking to me)
the location (walking distance to subway stations), the friendly staff, the rooms hollywood blvd
Location No parking
Clean room, friendly staff, close to Hollywood Blvd Nothing
Price Thin walls, loud, beds as comfortable as the floor. Hallways smelled. Terrible parking.
It was 7 minutes from Universal Studios Hollywood. The room appeared to be really clean. Their very small parking garage was full. There wasn't any street parking available. We had to park down the street and pay $25 to park in that lot. For that $25 more, we could have stayed at a much nicer hotel that had parking for us. We were trying to save money by staying here and it cost us more because of parking.
Nothing Parking was unavailable. Website said there would be parking. I use hotel.com a lot (need a room tonight) however I no longer will use unless I get a refund
Nothing especially when you end up paying way too much to stay in a crack house There was no parking is there were people screaming up and down the hallways there was smoking in non-smoking rooms and when I woke up in the morning for the little sleep I could get there was throw up in the hallway and none of the employees had any idea I was even there not worth it never stay there again.
Parking was horrible
The location of the hotel is close to hollywood and vine. The rooms are shoe box, smelly and no parking is included. Also the staff was not honest.Instead of telling me there is overnight public parking across the street they offered me parking elsewhere for $15 plus $25 deposit. ridiculous!Your name is not Richie
- The rooms are tiny. - Old noisy washing machines. - the hotel is literally next to biggest construction site. Bulldozers, tractors, construction work from 7am - 6pm daily. - sheets aren't changed, just made up. - no warm water. -broken shades.
No parking for customers.
We stayed at this hotel to attend an event at The Fonda. The hotel location was walking distance to the theater and allowed us to not rely on public transportation or Uber to get around after the show. The bathroom is located a few feet away from the the bed & has a frosted glass panel & a thin curtain for privacy. If there was a real door, I would have rated this hotel much higher. The walls of the room are not insulated well so we heard our neighbors
Location Small rooms but expected, great location..
Was a little late leaving gave a little extra time at no charge. okay for the money
Internet service You say "continental breakfast", I say box of donuts.
Location, location, location! Room was clean & freshly painted. I would stay here again. Air conditioner didn't work the greatest.
The location was good and there was free parking, which is hard to find in la The receptionist offered a better room for a bit more money and he insisted when we said we were not interested, I didn´t like that.
We didn't really stay in the room much. I like how it's close to the Walk of Fame and the concert that we went to. I didn't like the parking space. It was crowded and no room.
I enjoyed staying @ this Motel, the guy was really friendly who checked us in, would definately recommend it to someone else.
location they gave me a smoker room
The rooms were like little apartments. The continental breakfast it wasnt a real breakfast. It was only a donuts and a coffee in the reception
Location near to city center Poor spaces for services like Parking and breakfast
Breakfast included. Location to Hollywood Blvd excellent. More expensive than downtown LA
Perfect location, very close to Hollywood Blvd (Kodak Theatre). Friendly helpful staff. Very simple breakfast, but good enough to get the day started. Pool not worth swimming in. Very basic hotel but good value for the money you pay.
Close to shopping and attractions. Clean and professional. The room I stayed in 205, the shower does not get hot, just cool. Some thicker towels would give more of a high end.
Incredible location, confortable beds, free high speed internet Lack of options for breakfast
Free internet service, free parking, Location is excellent. Room and breakfast, cost
Clean and well situated (near to Hollywood boulevard). Price to high (for me).
The location.I hadn't realized it at first, when I was booking the room for my trip, but the hotel is situated literally 5 minutes away from major touristic sights in Hollywood and metro station Hollywood&Highland. And at the same time you won't be disturbed by the thousands of tourists at your doorstep.I was surprised that the service was really good, considering its price and location. I think that the combination of price, location and service is what makes this hotel one of the best of its kind. The stuff is very sweet and helpful. They are eager to do their best to make your stay the most comfortable and pleasant. I would personally like to thank Mudgi (sorry, if I misspelled the name) for his warming smile and helpful advises.Super! No, everything was just fine.
Very clean and comfortable room! A large number of towels that are changed daily, clean and high quality linens. The feeling is not the hotel and the home of relatives! All you need is in the room: coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator. I hope that when I come to Los Angeles in October, my dear room will be waiting for me! Breakfast, but there are many restaurants and cafes near the hotel , including the clock. Fridge in the room was needed in order to store food, rest after dinner (huge portions at restaurants), and then perfect breakfast!
