Worth the price. Not an every day meal place but definitely a good one for a special occasion or a celebration. We got the tasting menu and talked to the Somelier about a wine pairing. They didn't have one. But we did get a flight that he customized to our palettes and food. Delicious!! The Philly cheesesteak with Wagyu beef was definitely one of my favorites. And I highly recommend the fun drinks, like the mojito and the Caipirinha!!

Great girls-night-out spot! The ambiance is very nice, neither overwhelming or too casual- just simple and welcoming. Great staff!!! Very accommodating, kind, soft, friendly and a bit flirty:) Amazing FOOD! I'll specify GNO - small portions- Tapas style - great for sharing & fun, but enough to feel full! Awesome desserts! Will definitely go back many times ❤️

I was appalled at how terrible an experience we had on a Saturday evening. I've been to The Bazaar a few times since they opened almost ten years ago. For all of the glamor of the place and delicious food, the service was AWFUL. We had a reservation, but waited almost 45 minutes to be seated. It appeared that a couple of the male hosts were seating their friends, which likely threw off the reservation system and operations. Once we got to our table, the server acknowledged us and rushed around, but took 20 more minutes to take our order. \n\nThe food came out in a timely manner, thank heavens. However, the crowd around us consisted of drunk people acting like middle schoolers and disgruntled customers who also had to wait forever to get seated despite their reservation time. It was nice that one of the servers brought me a couple of shortbread cookies with a candle for my birthday. Unfortunately, it did not make up for the lack of coordination and terrible service otherwise. \n\nThe icing on the cake was that we were overcharged. We brought it to the attention of our server who took a while to get it rectified. We received the supposedly corrected bill and saw that it wasn't fixed. We decided it wasn't worth it to get it fixed because it would take forever to get done. We couldn't wait to leave. It was possibly the worst birthday dinner I've ever had.

We had a very nice time for my husband's 40th the staff was very attentive and treated us soooo well.\n\nThe food is in small portions so be prepared to order a lot if hungry but know that everything is very tasty and well presented.\n\nPricy but worth the splurge once in a while .

I have eaten here several times but the most recent experience was not great. The quality of the food has not held up to what it was in the beginning. A number of the modern dishes such as the cotton candy foie gras are tasteless and only for show. On the other hand, the Philly cheese steak tapas are scrumptious. It's worth a try, but choose carefully and don't rely on your server's recommendations.

In general great food. Service needs a major uplift if this is supposed to be fine dining.\n\n- Food started coming out before we got our cocktails. Additionally food came out before anyone bothered to ask if we wanted wine with our meal\n- we ordered Imamate and food was repeatedly 'dropped off' while mumbling what it was. Very rushed and terrible presentation of what was being given\n- we specifically said that one of us was allergic to pork and they gave it anyway\n- we had to pour our own wine. Even when we finished the bottle, no one bothered to ask us if we wanted more wine\n- no manager visit so I could share this first hand\n- bill was dropped off during our dessert course. No bother to ask if we wanted anything else or if we wanted coffee/tea or after dinner drink\n\nVery surprised that this is a place people rave about. We would never come back.

We've dined at many restaurants some with good experiance others with bad but The Bazaar was the worst experiance thus far. At fine dining either the food is expected to be drop dead good or the service or ideally both should be no less than 5 star; specially when the bill is for several hundreds of dollars. Unfortunetly The Bazaar had none; neither the food was amazing nor the service.

I have been to the Beverly Hills and Las Vegas versions of this restaurant, and they are both quality restaurants with a solid meat-based menu and a very nice vibe. It was very busy, so the service was a little sporadic, but they were very friendly and the wine/champagne list is solid. It is also very good for people watching. Absolutely worth trying out!

We've been to the Bazaar quite a few times and I'm sorry to say this will probably be the last. \nThere was a whole lot of pomp and circumstance as we were brought to our table but after the server took our drink order and told us she'd be back with the specials menu it was at least 10 minutes before anyone asked us if we were ok. Once we indicated that we needed our server, a different waitress came to the table wanting to take our order, but we told her we needed the menus. When she brought them over our original waitress came back and all they had to say was 'it takes a village.' \nWith that out of the way, we placed our order and proceeded to wait. The food came out rather sporadically, with no real attention to pacing or how the meal should proceed. Toward the end, they brought out the wrong dish. After a few minutes, the server acknowledged she made a mistake and put in the wrong order and made a big production of how she was offering us the other, wrong dish as a treat for us. A few minutes later, she realized that she neglected to put in the olives tapas and brought out half the dish, again as a favor on the house, but who wants to end a meal on liquified olive juice? \nThen came the bill, when we were charged for the erroneous order and the correct dish. When i pointed it out, she acknowledged the error, blamed it on someone else and we preceded to wait another 10-15 minutes for the bill. \nAll the while, we were treated to periodic waves of cigarette/cigar smoke as the servers came in and out of the outdoor area where there were people smoking right by the door. \nThe poor service might be less egregious if the food was fantastic, but I'd say that the quality has drastically dropped since the last time we were there. At this point, the restaurant seems tired, basically going through the motions of the magic trick without actually pulling it off. Too bad, it was pretty awesome once upon a time.

Food while overpriced is for the most part excellent and inventive. Helps to have an adventurous palate. Service was very spotty and way way too aggressive in over selling and being pushy and arrogant at times. Major turn off for everyone in our party. Was entertaining clients and was definitely not appreciative of that aspect. Will seriously have to consider using this place again to entertain clients. They waiters knew this was a business event and really pushed hard to take advantage. Damn shame and so not needed.

Fun, fun, fun!! The molecular gastronomy and art deco decorations will impress the 20-30's while the wonderful food will hook the 40+. It's a great place for the entire family!\n\nThe cocktails and tapas were just amazingly creative! It's worth every minute you spend on the road to get there! And it's worth every $ you spend trying as many of the fabulous tapas as you possibly can. I spent 2.5hrs driving from OC, with traffic, in the rain, to get there for dinner and it was sooo worth! If you have a special occasion, make The Bazaar your #1 choice where you celebrate it.

Was our first time dining here, very trendy spot, no doubt. Very poppin location at the SLS hotel, quite the scene. Regarding the food itself, I have to admit it was delicious, modern, and quite excellent. That is, IF the food ever gets to you. Unfortunately the service is incredibly poor, underwhelming, and practically non-existent. Our waiter, while very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, was spitting all over the place as he was telling us about the menu. Quite disgusting to say the least. Not only that, he would literally disappear for stretches at a time--to the point where we had to flag down other waiters across the room. And to top it all off: we were charged for an item that we never received. At that point, we threw in the towel. So again, the food (if it ever gets to you), is quite excellent. I just wish the service would match the level and quality of the food.

I love this place! I've been here a handful of time and each time I come here I'm never disappointed. Service is pretty fabulous and food taste amazing. You don't come here to be full. You come here to nibble and socialize. The food is serve tapas style and always order the flight of wines. My favorite dish is the foie gra sliders and philly cheese sandwiches. Avoid the cotton candy foie gra. It's way too too small to even taste like anything and the cotton candy actually starts to melt as soon as it arrives at your table. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous though!

The bazaar is one of my favorite restaurants especially when it comes to dine La. But this new menu for dine la was good but lacked the wow factor compared to previous years when you were able to choose what you wanted from the dine la menu instead of the prefixed menu. The famous cheesy steak is a little bit too salty, otherwise, I like the beef slice itself. (So I ate it separately)\n\n3. Ambience is good, love those sofa seat carved into the wall, and those modern art chandeliers so bad! Also their dessert area is soooo cute! Love everything there, they are really good at 'display'.\n\n4. Be aware of the parking, they charge $17 for valet which is way too pricy, $17? I dunno if it's average price, but I'd rather park in the street next time. \n\n5. Would love to come again for drink next time.

I used to find this place fun and inventive, now it's just crowded, too salty and too sweet. Came here during their DineLA Restaurant Week menu and was seated 20mins after my reservation. Waitress didn't ask if we wanted anything else with the menu, aka the wine pairing and truffle supplement, just started serving us. And when I finally flagged her down to add the wine pairing, it comes as 3 glasses all at once...odd. Not used to that. The sherry at the end was also pretty sour...is that characteristic of a sherry? Figured it should be sweet as a dessert wine right?

I love this place so much, but this was above and beyond. We brought our daughter who was turning 6 (she wanted to go to the place with the olives that explode/melt in your mouth) and everyone was so amazing -- from Molly letting her 'help' make cotton candy (can't promise you'll get that chance but it was early in the night, not too many guests yet, and so sweet of her to let our daughter have that experience!). We loved EVERYTHING we ate, but Olivia especially loved the chicken croquettes, the olives as mentioned, the guacamole in jicama, the special blackberry virgin daiquiri they made her, and dessert (the chocolate cake of your dreams) at the patisserie... It's a magical DELICIOUS place, great to go with a big group so you can try more dishes, but it was a night we will never forget due in equal parts to the delicious food and the amazing service and sweetness of the entire staff in helping us celebrate with our foodie-in-training! If you are in from out of town, and a foodie, don't miss this place, it's a gorgeous and delicious experience

I was very excited to have a reason to spend $800 on dinner for 5. But the terrible service, terrible, made what could have been a lifelong food experience memory, into 'meh' \nWhen I arrived early, I told everyone I could 'client dinner'... 'VIP clients'...'want to impress'...\nbut my client waited for a Martini every. single. time. I mean, it was obvious he would be drinking non-stop throughout the dinner. He is literally, without a doubt, my most respected client. \nTapas are awesome and fun if they are served correctly. They should come one after another. There should be no waiting in an 'experience oriented' restaurant. Before you ask, no. The dining area was not full. We were the first table seated with a 6pm reservation. Our clients left at 9:15 with no 'dessert experience' because they needed to catch a flight. That was sad. Because the dessert bar is really an experience. Supposedly after dinner, guests are to be taken to the dessert area with new tables close to counter top that displays umpteen desserts, all stunning and gleaming like Faberge Eggs under clear glass domes! But after our last plate was picked up, we waited. And waited. We were not even approached about the dessert experience. We had to grab the busboy to ask if we could order dessert to go. THAT took about 10 minutes; to box up pre-made desserts that are sitting under glass domes in front of me. Again, clients had a flight to catch. On a $720. Tapas bill, I did what I could to show my displeasure with the service, and only tipped $100. which was still too much. When I go back, and I will because the food is good and entertaining, I will speak with the manager and our waiter before the meal and impress upon them what type of service is expected or I will leave zero tip without regret.\n\nNicole

Had high hopes for our visit. Food was tasty and well executed but not mind expanding. Service was very weak, dirty plates not promptly replaced, several sharing dishes served with out proper utensils. Wine list was interesting but overpriced. The first thing out of the servers mouth was an attempt to upsell us on $10 bottle of water. This place has seen better days, carpets were stained and furnishings were in disrepair. My wife observed several slowly leeking sinks in the strange bathrooms. The men's bathrooms were provided with an attendant, a creepy and dated custom, but apperntly required due to complicated sink set up, worse there was not even a place to tip the poor soul stuck with this task. This exereience has greatly tarnished the Jose Andres brand in my eyes.

We did our reservation two months in advance for NYE, sent our credit card information and have all set up for the new year dinner.......or so we thought. We checked in @ 9:00 sharp. At that point we were encouraged to buy some drinks at the bar and wait to be called. We ordered two drinks, when the barman informed us that we would have to pay $100 no mater what we ordered... We complained, informing the barman we have dinner reservations and were 'allowed' to just pay for our drinks instead of $100. Thanks!?\n\nWe waited and waited and 2 hours passed our reservation time. Nobody cared to follow-up with us during the rest of the night, or even to invite us with a drink. We had to go there an ask for updates every 15 minutes. For 120 minutes. At that point the manager got a plan. He told us that he would be more than happy to improvised a table on the dance floor, right in front a the DJ's 1000-Watts speaker... \n\nObviously the 'friends' that arrived after us, where getting seated all along. When I confronted the manager red-handed seating two guys that arrived an hour after us, his explanation was ''It's ok, don't worry, I told you I can put a table for you over there (pointing the giant speaker)'\n\nAfter 135 minutes of excuses it was clear all the friends were already dinning and the rest were expendable; we had to leave and look for a place to get some food just 10 minutes before new year.\n\nFor all the frustration of realizing there was a total lack of accountability. We did put together a new year resolution: Stop supporting soulless operations and only support the restaurants with chefs and management that care.

A pricey and fun treat. We did not order alcohol and it was over $100pp - and we never got full. With booze and a big appetite plan on about $200pp. If money is no object and you want to try a myriad of tastes - then give it a shot. Valet parking pricey too.

Food's great but th experience of dining there on a busy Valentine's Day was not:\r\n\r\n- seated at our table late\r\n- seated in the 'desert' section with folks walking by us looking at the exhibits \r\n- ordered a capirinha that showed 30mins later\r\n- forgot one of our tapas orders, had to reorder it\r\n\r\nAlthough the capirinha was comped, the experience of dining there was a disappointment relative to what I'd heard.

Ambiance is cozy yet extravagant. Service is impeccable. Food is expertly crafted and so intense in its layers of flavor. I love the many options of tasty bites. My favorites are the famous philly cheesesteak, Jamon and eggs, shrimp, man made olives, caprese, mushroom rice, jicama wrapped guacamole, California cone and coffee rubbed wagyu. An evening here is not just a meal, but an experience. The change of scene when you are moved to the patisserie for dessert, is fun and whimsical. Cocktails are as creative and yummy as the food. It is pricey, but as they say...you get what you pay for. Definitely worth it!

Unique ambience. Excellent service. Mediocre food (tasting menu)\n\nMaybe it's just me but the food on the tasting menu really wasn't worth $100. Too many undesirable starters and only one unique desert that tasted good on the menu. Again, in my opinion, I dont think many of my friends would have enjoyed the food either for the asking price. Ambience and feel was excellent though as was the service.

The food here is amazing. We loved the rabbit, tuna ceviche, and ox tail buns. The ambience is amazing. However, our service was rough. Our waiter was not attentive to our table (but he was to others). He constantly forgot to do things that he said he would do (refill water, bring fresh plates, etc.) and he didnt. If I'm going to pay over a $100 for a meal, the least that can happen is that I'm treated like I matter and not like I'm an afterthought. I admit the food was great, but if I can expect similar service in the future, there's no point in coming back. LA has too many options to settle for lackluster service

The food offerings at Bazaar have become less interesting. While different and unusual on a first visit, on subsequent visits the menu choices are pretty much the same and no longer unique. I have been to Bazaar at least six times over several years, mostly as a place to take out of town guests. My last visit, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, reinforced my perception that Bazaar is no longer special. Same foie gras with cotton candy (unique once, interesting twice, boring after that), crab in a tin can, good (but now common) jamon. The rabbit dish was dry and tasteless, the wagyu dish was indistinguishable from any braised beef dish. The server was very knowledgeable of the menu and made recommendations for my guest who had never been there. Dinner for two including tax (we brought our own wine) was about $500.

Imaginative, delicious and absolutely decadent. I feast for the eyes and stomach, Chef Andres manages to balance complex yet familiar flavors in a luxurious manner, making every bite just perfect. The scallop ceviche is a must (peruvian citrus flavors) and the grilled octopus is just fantastic. You cannot leave without trying the Philly cheese steak sandwich. However, I did enjoy the pear/burrata salad and the brussels sprouts if you are looking for something lighter.

Not just uniquely prepared, but each dish was beautiful, sublime, delicious. We tried about 20 different tapas and small plates. Stand outs were smoked oysters (smoke wafting out of glass dome when served), grilled octopus (sous vide before grilling), paella (thin black pasta infused with flavors of the sea, instead of rice), and the jicama wrapped guacamole. But everything is so good, including the 8 or so desserts we tried, and the cocktails, you can't go wrong. Best to go with 4-6 people so everyone can have a taste of each of these very special dishes. Never knew food could be so whimsical or so much fun.

We have dined here twice before and loved it for the third time just as much! The setting is very unique with a mix of decor in the different rooms and is quite the experience. The food is always superb and didn't disappoint this time. There is a mix of traditional and modern tapas as well as a variety of hams and cheese. We always share a variety of plates, and each and every one of them are outstanding! Highlights included the gazpacho, mary's farm buffalo chicken wings, jimaca wrapped guacamole, tortilla de patatas and king crab steamed buns. The cocktail list is also a great hit and would highly recommend the Magic Mojito complete with fairy floss! The staff are always warm and friendly and very happy to help with any questions about the menu. Once again we had a superb night and will definitely be back on our next visit to LA!

One of my favorite locations. Hope that this was a one time not-so-great experience. \n1. The dark room was not opened due to low customers volume, a big disappointment! This is a very important part of the experience that I want my guests to enjoy. \n2. I specifically request the dark room when I make reservations. Restaurants are fantastic in confirming reservations; how hard is it to notify me ahead of time that a requested service will not be available?\n3. Food arrived at a world record breaking time (way too fast), but some of the items were terribly greasy (the bread accompanying the Jamón Serrano and the 'Philly Cheesesteak'). The foie gras was partly frozen under the cotton candy(cotton candy foie gras). \n3. Service was ok but nothing like I'm used to. Our server was absolutely under attentive which is not acceptable considering the fact that this was a very slow night. \n\nIn summary: I frequently bring guests from out of town to this restaurant as it usually provides a great overall experience. I'm ok with paying the high premium as long as the package deal of a great venue and great food is there. For the first time, this was somewhat of a let down

I'll definitely go back, but only for special occasions. They say 3 or 4 items per person, but many of the dishes are no more than a few bites, although amazing bites. So if you are hungry, you might need double that, as we were, ordering around 12 dishes for 2 people! Excellent food; beware the upselling. May have been just our server, but I have never felt as upsold in my dining career. First, he stated he would 'bring over some chips'; one might presume this was some complimentary snack; Nope. Straight from the menu (fortunately it was superb, as was everything we tried). Next, he pushed hard on one of the specials; fortunately I looked at a separate piece of paper and noticed it said...wait for it...$75! After politely turning this down, I looked over the extensive and creative wine list and attempted to order a Spanish wine flight (for myself) which was a reasonable $23. He said instead I should order a different Spanish wine which was a half bottle; fortunately I took the time to look for it first as I was on my guard by this time; the price? $75! The guy took our orders and the meal was superb. He pushed hard on dessert but it was not too expensive so on this one, we gave in. Lastly, the bill came and I split it with my buddy (we were party of 3). The guy returns with the 'split check', except that my bill was properly 1/2, but my buddy's? The entire amount! It's a good thing I checked because he almost signed. This may have been an honest error but after being with him, who knows...I won't mention his name but beware in case this is prevalent there. Beautiful restaurant with stellar food. Highlights included their signature Philly cheesesteak, Brussel sprouts, carrots, tuna cones, sautéed shrimp and chips and whipped cheese. Just be careful...

Although the food was good, with the price of the food charged however, I would expect much better services and ambiance like other top notch restaurants such as Patina, Melisse or Valentino. Waiters 'dropped' foods on our table in a rush without any descriptions to each dish unless we stopped them and specifically asked. Group of six of us were forced to share some tiny dishes without any explanations or instructions that we would never expect to experience such kind of dinning setting in this kind of high price restaurant. While the restaurant saved the efforts on the services for limiting the dishes preparations and serving to the table, we do not feel the force charged 20% tips for party of six are justifiable. Overall, we felt humiliated for such dish sharing event and poor services on such kind of high price dinning; we would rather received a separated portion of each items for each one us and much nicer service like a good restaurant would do.

I expected a good meal, but this was beyond expectations. I like José Andrés. His DC spots are excellent, but I've found his Vegas offerings to be hit-or-miss. The Bazaar might surpass his DC locations, and that's saying a lot. Every single dish was fantastic, which is all the more impressive given the huge size of the menu and the small size of the plates (so we had quite a few.) We ordered mostly from the modern side of the menu, and it was all incredible. Our server did recommend the farm chicken from the traditional choices, and it was absolutely divine. The decor is relatively ridiculous, but pleasant. The service was excellent. My only niggles would be: 1. The 'famous' salt-air margarita tasted like overly-sweet cheap triple sec, regardless of what was actually in it. Gross. The other cocktails we tried were excellent. 2. The separate dessert bar is silly and lacks ambiance. Skip it and stay at your dinner table for whatever you're ending your meal with. All in all, a great meal.

For a $500 dinner, a lot more was expected from this meal. We sat for nearly ten minutes before being offered drinks. The server didn't ask about allergies or sensitivities so we were unaware that there was even a gluten free menu to choose from. Given the tapas style of dining, we were unsure of how many plates to order. The server recommended four per person, for a total of 16 plates. Once the drinks arrived and the first couple of dishes came out, things picked up. The food was very good, but not spectacular. There were several 10-20 minute pauses where nothing came out, then 2 or 3 plates would come out all at once. It didn't seem like there was any method to the dinner service, and more thoughtful service was expected. By dish 14 we were stuffed, which was fortunate given that the server forgot about our 2 last plates. Unfortunately he didn't even apologize for this error, or offer any sort of complimentary digestif or dessert. To finish it off, we ordered tea and coffee which suspiciously took 10 minutes to arrive. All in all, this restaurant is very expensive and lacks any sort of refinement when it comes to the dining experience. Not sure what the fuss is about. It is a beautiful space, but I would suggest popping in for a drink and dining elsewhere. Needless to say we won't be returning.

In the flight of red wine was Priorat, which if I didn't know anything about wine and and happened to drink it close to the source in Sitges and Barcelona this past summer, would have still noticed the skunky smell and taste of a wine that was turning bad or had TCA taint. After the waiter took the glass to get me a fresh one and returned 20 minutes later. It seemed like they poured that same spoiled wine or from the same spoiled bottle into the new glass after I asked them to open a fresh bottle. They probably thought I was complaining and had no knowledge of wine which was a mistake on their part.

Went for a birthday dinner. Very fun, interesting menu and good food - not great. Service was strange and slow -- they had multiple service staff rotating during our meal. We had at least 4 different servers taking orders, delivering food. They forgot about us several times and I had to flag someone down to take our order, find out where dessert order went, etc. I think that is because no one person was responsible for making sure we were taken care of. They ended up giving us dessert on the house after they realized they kept forgetting us. Nice touch but I still was disappointed.

But this time a my friend and were a little unhappy with the Service. I beleive this was due to being seated in the area that's between the front and back dining rooms. There wasn't one Server assigned to cover the area, so the Server was literally divided between all tables in the back area and our little two top. Don't get me wrong, he was very nice, and from the Ladies at Reception to the General Manager to the Busboys.. all lovely. It's just that our service was... slooow.... had to ask a bus boy and another Server to ask our Server over. That shouldn't have been. As I said, been there many times and will be there many more, I'm sure. Just an off night I hope. So perhaps what I'm saying is sit in the front OR back room... not the middle area. But do go enjoy the food!!

My 15 yr old son and I had a great time. It was our first visit and our server was nice enough but was not greatly informative or helpful with ordering. It fell short of my very high expectations because of the service.

I wanted to go to Bazaar for years and it was worth the wait. The experience was amazing. Our server was patient with all our questions and fairly knowledgeable about the food menu, drink list and even how some meals are prepared. The experience was almost perfect. The only set back was when the tapas portion was over, we had to be escorted over to the dessert area and that took 15 minutes for the hostess to come and get me and my dinner companion. The flan was amazing though.\nThe food is definitely top notch and the flavors of all our dishes (including their take on Tortilla de patata) are intense and well balanced.\n\nAmazing experience and it definitely not only entices your taste buds but all the other senses as well.

The service was just ok....we waited and no one came so I got up and ordered for the bartender who by the way was excellent!!!!\nThe restaurant was nice and very good service but I must say.....kinda silly. We like 'whimsical ' decor and fun things but this place (hotel included ) is way to much\nDrinks with dry ice and flavored smoke etc. again....a little is fun but too much gets silly\nI think the food was much better than I thought (if that makes sense) but it's hard to enjoy with strange decor and a guy stirring a pot smoking dry ice like we were at an eight year olds birthday party\nOverall it was fun but I think for the price there are much better options

Delicious food and very creatively presented. I loved the dashi linguini and the burrata was the creamiest I've ever had. The worst bar service ever. Sat for 1/2 hour waiting for my table (even though I was on time for my reservation) asked two different staff members if I could order a drink and both told me that they would send someone and no one came, while I watched people who came after me order drinks. It was not busy.

Dining at Bazaar is always an experience – the menu is always interesting, food’s innovative and presentation is fun. Husband had the tasting menu – delicious. The 63 degree egg is always a welcome treat, I love it! The cotton candy foie gras, the philly cheesesteak and the croquetas de pollo are big favorites of ours so it was great to see them in the tasting menu. \n\nWife ordered foie gras soup, mussels, steam buns. Love the concept of the steam buns, especially the short rib. Delicious. The foie gras soup is awesome!! Delicious, rich, savory – that is a new favorite of ours!! One 'problem' was the Tasting Menu had enough sweets to share and we over-ordered dessert. Oops, oh, well.\n\nWhat was really great about the experience was how the kitchen/our server timed our dishes. Since I had the 19 course and my wife had 5, we were not expecting a lot in terms of timing because the two orders seemed impossible to time so we said we will take whatever food there is when they come. Impressive that they accomplished it well. It’s what separates just nice restaurants from the really great ones!

I accidentally made a reso at the Bazaar in L.A. instead of this one in Miami. I didn't realize it until the hostess in Miami couldn't find my reso when I walked in the restaurant. It was 100% my fault, yet the Miami restaurant took it as if it was their mistake. \n\nThey did everything they could to find us a seat outside - and we were seated within 10 minutes at a fully booked restaurant. \n\nTheir courteousness didn't stop there. \n\nImmediately after we were seated outside, It started raining really hard & was extremely windy. The staff accommodated us to get us a table away from the weather. We graciously refused because we live in Philly and weren't bothered by the weather - it was actually kinda refreshing. \n\nThe staff was extremely hospitable and even sent out 2 free appetizers bc of the inconvenience of the weather. \n\nThey were overly considerate and hospitable to us and the food was great, but the staff and service is what made our evening memorable and will make us return again the next time we are in Miami. \n\nAfter being in the restaurant industry for 8 years previously... I rarely say this, but this staff really did go above and beyond what would ever be expected of a great experience. It was amazing. \n\nTHANK YOU for a wonderful experience!

We have visited other Jose Andres venues.and liked them very much. The L A Eats promo was on the menu, so we ordered it - including 12 tapas dishes for 95. and a wine flight for 35 . each. Overall, the food was good, but aside from two dishes, the octopus and the egg/patatas, not spectacular. The space is large and dark, and felt more like a dining hall than a fine dining venue. The staff was well trained. When they told us we would have to leave the dining room to eat dessert, I felt more like an item in a mass production line rather than a paying guest. the chocolate heart was disappointing - just whipped cream and chocolate in a mold. the 'star' savory dish, the 'philly cheese steak' had very little beef flavor, and pours liquified cheese all over you on purpose. and then you exit into the gift shop - Yep, I felt like a rube.

It was my mom's 85th birthday (she's a very young 85) and she is a true foodie. She said it was the most memorable meal of her life. She has a lot of food sensitivities but she had no problems with anything that we ordered and, in fact, probably at more than anyone else at the table. We were staying at the SLS for one night while visiting someone at Cedars Sinai hospital, so we decided to indulge with dinner at The Bazaar. It was one of the best meals ever. My husband ordered a cheese platter and a couple of vegetable dishes (Manchego stuffed squash blossoms, mini corn on the cob skewers). I ordered a traditional seafood tapa (scallop on Romesco sauce) and a modern tapa (ceviche wrapped in avocado). The vegetable dishes were amazing and the seafood dishes were excellent. We also enjoyed a flight of 3 reds and a flight of 6 Spanish wines. The 6th Spanish wine, a sherry, was never served, which was disappointing. We chose to go to the dessert bar area for dessert, which seemed a little awkward. After dinner, we were escorted to the cool (in temperature) and colder (in ambiance) dessert area and then forgotten for a while. We almost bailed from dessert entirely because it was getting late. A server finally came. We ordered the nitro floating island dessert and 2 cookies. The floating island was fabulous. I'd go back just for this dessert, and I'm not usually a dessert person. I liked ordering a variety of small plates, and ordered just enough for the right amount of food (although we did over indulge a little). The dishes were innovative and interesting. It was expensive, but it wouldn't have been as much without drinks.

For dessert you get re-seated at a different table in the 'desert area'. That's when the service went completely down hill. Server barely said anything to us other than 'have you been here before'. He was completely uninterested in being there. Between delivering the menus, taking the order, returning to the table and eventually giving us the check, each trip by the server was way too long of a delay. Our reservation was for 9:30. We arrived at 9:15 and were seated at 9:45.\nWe came to Bazaar for the suckling pig and were told they were out- huge disappointment! \nShortly after ordering a few appetizers we were told the manager had offered our server the very last suckling pig quarter. SOLD!! We were so excited! Started toasting and cheering to our good luck and ordered a few more dishes. \n5 minutes later we were informed that another server, without manager approval, sold it to another table. TOTAL FAIL\nOur server Michael did a great job trying to make up for the experience with humor, dessert, and great service. We looked forward to trying a new restaurant, and were really surprised by the poor quality of the meal meal. We ordered six dishes, and one was worse than the next. For once, we were grateful for exceedingly small portions. (The 'endive' salad was four tiny pieces of lettuce, each with something very small and unidentifiable on top. The bread - not inexpensive and none provided with the meal - consisted of four tiny lukewarm pieces of bread with a room temperature and bland tomato sauce on top. The scallop and asparagus dish had less than one full piece of asparagus on it.) To top it off, the parking fee (with validation) was $14.00. The good news is we have a funny memory to last us for years.

I loved everything about this dinner -- the food is AMAZING. My only complaint, we were a party of 11 and we left the ordering to the waitress, and everything was delicious but she disappeared for a while as it got busier and toward the latter third of our meal without checking in to see if we were full, how much more we might want, so although we told the busboys/servers a few times 'this dish should be the last, we've had enough...' the food kept coming, in sets of two or three items even though we got 11 of everything, with heavier dishes last (philly cheesesteaks, beef cheeks, squid ink pasta with shrimp, uni sandwiches) so that we were way too full to enjoy it and the meal ended up costing a lot than we might have liked since we could have ended it quite a bit earlier. BUT we managed to try almost everything anyhow. Like I said the food was great, but unless it's a set tasting menu, I feel like there should be more checking in with the diners to see if they want more or have had enough.

It would have been considerate of them to inform their guests of the new smoking patio. We were sat right near the door for the patio, and was constantly bombarded with the smell of smoke. Not a way to enjoy this 'food experience'. Definitely influence not only the taste of the food but our mood as well. We didn't know that the patio allowed for smoking until we saw someone doing so. We thought it was because we were near the valet. Also not quite sure why they don't have their previous sangria available while they are trying to get the new recipe approved. Used to be my favorite restaurant...

The service is really bad. Our server showed only twice and also forget what she was asked to bring. It looks like one server should take care of a certain amount of tables, however out server disappear .For that reason, after the 6 course of 19 omakase ,we waited for more than 30 mins to get our 7th one and the rest are just come all together. I talked to my server personally earlier to mention that it' my friend's birthday and make sure you bring candle on the dessert. but she forget totally!!! so i have to talk to someone else after our dessert is already on the table. I highly suggest that the restaurant can train the server better.

The waitresses were super friendly and explained the menu. The restaurant is noisy with a lot of commotion but it's bearable enough to hear your party talk. The decor of the restaurant is great everything is mostly the color black. The food is exquisite, since it is a fine dining restaurant the plates are small but are shareable, it is mostly about the flavor of the food. I would come back to try other plates on the menu. The service was great, each plate came out when it was ready approximately every twenty minutes which gives plenty of time to have a conversation.

I've been to some of the best and most expensive restaurants in the world but never really encountered an experience like here. Went here as a group for a birthday dinner. Food was good but having bad service really ruins the whole experience.

The Bazaar is by far our favorite restaurant. We come from San Diego, about 3 hour drive and spend a night in L.A. just to dine here, so our expectations are high. We've been here multiple times, and in the past, our dining experience has been beyond expectations. However, our last visit on Friday 6/5 was disappointing to say the least. Food was EPIC as expected, but we were very disappointed with the poor quality of service. When we first got seated, we had to wait so long for our server to greet us. In fact, I had to wave my hand up in the air to catch someone's attention, who then called our server. Throughout the dinner, our server was not attentive at all. We wanted to keep ordering tapas, but we just couldn't get our server to come around. He was not busy. I could see him literally just standing not too far from our table, doing nothing. I had to keep looking at him with hope to make an eye contact. At some point, he came to wrap thing up for us, and we had to say, in quote, 'we are not done yet. Can we order another round of drinks?'. At the end, he just brought our check without being asked. We felt as if we were unwanted and were being asked to leave. It's not like we were just occupying the table without ordering. In fact we spend over $1,000 (including bar tab before the dinner). The server was friendly and not rude at all, but he was just not attentive and did not care to make sure we're doing ok, need more drinks or tapas, etc. I expected more from this restaurant as in the past.

Okay - things you need to know. It is outrageously expensive, however, it is a food experience that is rare in life, and though you may wish you did not spend that much on a meal, I am never can say it was not worth the experience.\nThe staff and food are in a class by itself. My husband and I took a friend out for her birthday and wanted something special. My son cam with us and the experience was not worth the cost for him. Not that he did not enjoy the food but a cheeseburger for him at Fat burger would have been enough,...but we could not leave him out. Just an FYI if you are considering going. The food is amazing - it is decadent... and a wonderful experience. Save up for a special occasion and GO THERE...at least once!

We left sometime around ten PM and the liveliness of the place was just starting to pick up the pace. You had better have reservations after seven or eight as it is an 'in place' for the Porsche Kids. We will return. The only complaint we had was the support and comfort of the chairs. They should be given to McDonald's or somewhere that has a faster turnover...... or maybe that's the point.

My fiance and I had an amazing experience at The Bazaar. We enjoyed every single dish we ordered. Our favorites were the scallop ceviche, the beef cheeks, and the peach salad. Our service was superb. I mentioned how we were celebrating our recent engagement as well as my fiance's birthday, so they started of our night with a free glass of champagne. We finished our night at the patisserie. The floating island was so light, tarte, and tasty. We also had the macaron tart, which has fresh raspberries in it. I feel like the value was very good, considering this is a higher-end restaurant. We ordered a lot of food + drinks + desserts, and still paid less than what I expected. My fiance and I both agreed that we would love to dine here every year, so that we work our way up to trying every single item on the menu.

I've been here a bunch - this time brought several friends who've not been here before. Their experience confirms what I felt - this place is stunning / amazing / great food. If you know what to order - the 'new' tapas styles are a Wow. Unique textures and flavors. The philly cheese steaks, the olives, the caprese... The wine list is nearly all Spanish - and if you know what you are doing, you can find some reasonably priced gems. One minor quibble - the table was small given the number of plates and glasses. And a few tables have benches, not chairs - which is not my idea of comfortable especially at this price range. No doubt however - I plan to return.

This place lived up to my expectations. The cotton candy foie gras and Philly cheesesteak is a must. The grilled octopus was also one of my favorites; the chicken escabeche really made that dish. Had the mille-feuille for dessert. Although it wasn't as fancy looking as some of the other desserts, it was delicious. We had a bottle of red wine, which was great, but I wish we tried at least one of their specialty drinks. Seeing some of the other tables that order them, their drinks had quite the presentation. My only critique would be about the servers who drop the food off at your table and explain how to eat it. I felt like they did not want to be there. I understand that this may be repetitive for them , but at the same time...smile and show a little enthusiasm. Despite this minor detail, I really enjoyed The Bazaar and would definitely go back. This one offered us a Demi bottle of Chardonnay making it sound like it would be a better value than ordering a wine by the glass. He should have told us the Demi bottle (which is a glass and a half) costs $46 each - plus tax and tip. We didn't know and had two! This was just rude and taking advantage of people. So for that, he broke even on how many stars he got and was marked down. Otherwise the evening would have been 5 stars across the board.

Even worse, suddenly 5 hot dishes came simultaneously, so half of the stuff got cold. Then, Silence for another 30 minutes until we obtained our remaining dishes (again 5 at the same time?!$). We've been here and wanted to come back for Dine LA, they have a full selection of their most popular goodies (and some new ones). While waiting for our table (we requested the one overlooking the chef prep area, it's fun to watch them assemble food), we wandered around and ended up at the bar, where we had a couple of cocktails. They have good ones, and they sneak up on you, and they are not cheap, be prepared.\n\nWe ended up at a regular table, since we didn't want to wait. We had several plates, the caviar cone, cotton candy foie gras was fabulous. We had gazpacho at Tres on the other side, and it was as good as we remembered. The scallop ceviche was sweet and fresh. The watermelon nigiri was ok, needed more nigiri and less watermelon.\n\nTortilla patata was a soft cooked egg in a potato soup. It was good but the egg could have been cooked a bit more. The jamon croquetas, and jamon machego was yummilicious. The asparagus rice was ok, but should have been creamier (as risotto). Octopus was good as well as the summer baby veggies. The desserts are always to die for here, and the chocolate cake was very rich and the flan was excellent as well.\n\nWe now want to go back for the chips and steamed buns we saw the next table eating.

My wife and I have enjoyed 3 Michelin on all 3 coasts and France and ranked this experience among those and since it's located in a Michelin area I am stunned that it hasn't gotten its star(s!) yet! I am also referring to the main restaurant and only learned of SAAM and its tasting menu that night. The Cotton Candy Foie Gras and American Caviar in a cone were standouts for us among all the amazing tapas. Save room for dessert and move your party to the dessert room. Incredible! A special note about the Somms. They almost always enhance the experience but they were actually fun!! Rachel as the Lead Somm and another gentleman shared genuine Spain experiences on what was clearly a company trip and another huge nod to the restaurant. I know Spanish wines as hardy but was directed to a Spanish Bordeaux equivalent and found it so delightful. Thanks Rachel! Ok, word salad, Phillippe Starck, James Beard Award, engaging fun staff, amazing Somm, creative and delicious...now lets add Michelin already!

My husband and I dined at Bazaar a few weeks ago. From the moment we sat down, the waiter spent a considerable amount of time explaining the menu and wine list. He was very knowledgeable. Given that it was a tapas menu, he suggested the amount of dishes we should order between the two of us. Everything we ate was quite good. I wasn't a huge fan of the preparation of the beef cheek, but the scallops, ceviche and guacamole were very tasty. The only thing I'll say, is that we felt that we were constantly being 'upselled' by our waiter - why don't you have two of those, how about a more expensive glass of wine, etc. That does tend to get quite annoying, especially since it already ended up being an expensive night. The crowning achievement at Bazaar is the dessert buffet. The theatrics of it all - moving us to a different table, getting us a new waiter, taking us on a tour, etc was lots of fun. It was every girls' fantasy. And to top it all off, the desserts were delicious. They looked fantastic and tasted even better. The bottom line is Bazaar is wonderful on its own - they don't need to try so hard. I'd come back again.

Always a great time at The Bazaar. The food is whimsical, the setting is vibrant, the drinks are creative and concocted well. The only drawback is the service, which can be slow depending on your server. That said, you're there to linger and take in the unique decor. Don't miss out on the dessert area - it's like you're in a Jewelry Box.

This restaurant is very sophisticated. I love the ambiance and elegant decoration all over the place . The background music is a plus also the great service and attention from the stuff, which definitely makes you want to go back again. The restaurant theme is very original and different from other restaurants , which makes it very unique. Moreover, let me mention how delicious the tapas were . Every single flavor melts in your mouth, very distinctive flavors and sizes.

The Bazaar has a cool vibe but the noise is well controlled. The tapas are varied, flavorful and inventive. I would particularly recommend the selection of Spanish hams on the classic side and the philly 'wich on the modern side. The sweets are also well worth saving some room for. The wine list has something for everybody but you can't go wrong with classical Spanish reds from Rioja or Ribera del Duero. The tables are well spaced so there is little disturbance from others. A great place for a private celebration !with foodie friends or lovers! The tab is high but worth it for special occasions.

Visited for Dine LA's restaurant week. There were a few key dishes that were very unique: the deconstructed Philly cheesesteak, foie gras with cotton candy that was an interesting play of salt and sweet flavors, and the deconstructed olive. I also really enjoyed the Wagyu beef cheeks. The rest of the menu was good but not necessarily as special as those dishes. \n\nOvershadowing the experience, however, was the poor service. We were on time for our reservation but weren't seated until we waited for 20 minutes then asked the hostess whether we would be waiting for much longer. At that point we were offered to be seated right away if we were willing to sit at the chef's counter, which we did. We were hungry! The dishes came out at an uneven pace: sometimes one on top of the other, or with a long wait in between. Water wasn't refilled for awhile. A few times they brought us items we had just finished eating. I'm not sure if it was an off night, or they had overbooked that evening. They didn't offer any explanation. It was even more surprising that a 20% gratuity was already added to the check when we received it.\n\nI was with another diner that night, and for the first few items we each had our own plate but for almost the rest of the meal we received plates to share. Looking over at the man at the counter next to me who was dining alone and had also gotten the prix fixe menu, he received the same sized portions. It was disappointing. Not sure if the kitchen was trying to catch up with orders by combining plates for diners who were paired but it didn't seem right to me, especially with no explanation from the waitstaff that we would be sharing the next few plates without even being provided separate plates to split the dishes.

This place is a little on the pricey side, but it was an amazing experience and the food was delicious. Dinner and dessert are served in separate rooms, which made it really fun. After dinner, you get escorted to the dessert room where they have dozens of beautiful and decadent desserts on display. There's also a gift shop and a lounge area where you can hang out after you're done. A great place to go on a date or to hang out with a group of friends. I highly recommend it.

It was way too noisy in the back section facing the kitchen, so we moved to the middle right side section in a booth. That became too noisy halfway through dinner. I would sit in the main dining room next time, where I sat before, at a stool at the counter, so I can watch the staff finishing off the preparation of our meal, which is so much fun. It is definitely the hot place to go...much more crowded than it was years ago when I last dined with you. Congratulations on a great bar scene, fabulous decor, a great shop on the right side, and THE HOT SPOT to be in LA!

I made a reservation for my girlfriend's birthday in advance of 3-4 weeks requesting a special table. When we got there, it seems like my request was never read or honored as we got a small table. Secondly, our waiter even though knowledgeable about the food menu, never came around when he was needed. I had to tell him everything in front of my girlfriend revealing and giving away the surprise. Lastly, even though I had given him my card in the beginning of dinner to take care of the bill, he still forgot and brought the bill and just left it there. Again, 5-star location, 4 and half star decor, 4 star food but 2-star service.

The food was delicious as expected. \nThe reviews I've seen have been mixed about the service, so I knew it would be the deciding factor of whether or not I would come back. The staff was really accommodating at first, but in the later half of the meal, we had to remind them of several dishes we ordered that were forgotten. They invited us to move to the separate room for dessert without bringing out everything we had ordered. The service slowed down by a lot as the night got busier for them--the later half of the 3-hour 'experience' was spent waiting for the last few dishes to be brought out and for them to fix the discrepancies on the check. Unfortunately, I don't think I will come back.

As anyone coming to Bazaar should expect, the food portions are small but mighty. My only food disappointment was the Spring Garden, which I've had before, but this particular evening seemed particularly thin-spread. I couldn't even taste the celery root puree which previously had been my favorite part of the dish.\n\nThe service was fair, which at a place like Bazaar is borderline unacceptable. I brought a friend for their birthday, and this special occasion was never acknowledged by the waitstaff. I was really hoping it would be a special evening for my friend, and while the kitchen delivered the front of house fell short.

Food could not be faulted, the service was exceptionally poor. Some of our tapas items were forgotten on reminding the server the final item finally arrived 30 minutes after finishing all of our food. We then had to wait 20 minutes to see the desert menu, when the waiter came to take our order majority of the menu was unavailable. It was a sour dining experience after a worse experience in the bar, on arrival we were told to get a drink in the bar, we then sat down almost 40 minutes after our reservation time - the restaurant was empty so I cannot see why this happened.

$480 with tax and tip for 5 of us. A little steep, but that included 7 cocktails at about $110. We had the California Cone, Cotton Candy Foie Gras, Philly Cheesesteak, Croquetas de Pollo, Stuffed Pequillo Peppers, Rossejat Negra (paella pasta in squid ink with shrimp), Tuna Ceviche & Avocado Roll, Not Your Everyday Caprésé, and crisp Baby Corn dusted with chile power and served with aioli.\n\nReally, everything was delicious and well-timed. We never felt rushed and were never wanting for food. Service was very good. Cocktails were well-made. We splurged on a few -- the LN2 Caipirinha, which was prepared table side and frozen with liquid nitrogen, and the Magic Mojito, which was served in a martini glass filled with cotton candy. The liquid was poured over the cotton candy, dissolving it. Pretty fun show. Overall, it was a memorable and fun dinner for my 20-year old daughter, her teen sisters and my wife.

This restaurant is a true dining experience. It was a recommendation from a friend and one that I will definitely pass on. The cocktail menu was great and you must try the caipirinha that is made table side with liquid nitrogen. What a show, that out kids loved. this isn't a typical kid friendly restaurant, we just take ours everywhere. Everything we had was delicious and we tried multiple things. The waitstaff was very attentive. Food came out with great timing and they staggered bringing things out so we could enjoy everything. An added bonus was that when we told them about our son's nut allergy, they brought out a special menu for nut allergies! I was super impressed and he was excited to eat safely with any choices. It was a scaled down version of the main menu and it had vast options in my opinion. There were just a handful of items not on it from the regular menu and that was because they couldn't be made without nuts. Everything we tried was delightful and if that wants enough once dinner was finished we were moved to another area of the restaurant for dessert. Lots of options to choose from, again safe options for our nut free kiddo. Will definitely return someday!

We've been to The Bazaar several times and always thoroughly enjoy dinner. At this point we've tried nearly everything on the menu. Definite highlights: the jamon platter, the avocado wrapped sushi, the Brussels sprout salad (we've had a couple different versions), and, of course, the philly cheesesteak. Service is consistently good, the cocktails are well prepared, and the sommeliers are knowledgeable and patient with those of us who don't have a deep knowledge of Spanish wines. Still, moving to the lounge to enjoy a cup of coffee and continue your evening without dominating a table is always a pleasure.

This was our first visit to The Bazaar restaurant and we were not disappointed. We started off with drinks and I had an ultimate Gin and Tonic and my friend had a frozen nitrogen drink that was made at the table with rolling smoke everywhere, it was quite a spectacle. The food is served tapas style and the menu is very extensive (four pages of choices) broken into two categories, Traditional and Modern tapas dishes. Our server was very well versed in all of the many dishes' ingredients and preparation. My friend and I picked 5 different tapas each, that we shared. Some were better than others but all were very good. The winner was definitely the Philly Cheese Steak dish...OMG! Dessert was served in a different room at a new table which was a first for us but it was kind of fun. Most of the desserts were on display and we were encouraged to go up and have a look before ordering. Everything looked amazing so it was hard to choose but we were very happy with what we got. Dining here is quite an experience and I will certainly go here again.

So found this place of a gem three months ago in early March and came with my three girlfriends. We had made reservations and had an amazing experience! Granted it was on a Thursday night and our waitor was very animated and brought our drinks with such pleasure, he even did a little magic show for the mojito and other drinks. Should have learned our lesson and kept it a one time experience. My girlfriends birthday is this week and she wanted to return to Bazaar for her birthday celebration. We had made reservations again and arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation. The hostess greeted us and said they were on schedule and will call us when 8pm aprroached. We decided to take selfies and enjoy the ambiance which is lovely. However, at 8:15 we started to get a bit impatient and approached the host and she apologized and said they were backed up. Long story short ended up being seated at 8:30 (dont understand the purpose of reservations) and then wasnt greeted by our waitress until 8:45 after being seated for 15 minutes. She had no pesonality and very dry. Anyways we order right when she greeted us since were waiting for 15 minutes and ordered several tapas and drinks. As 9:05 approached we started getting our tapas but NO DRINKS! I had to flag down our waitress and explained we would have liked our drinks before the tapas. She then returns with our drinks doesn't put the smoke on the drinks like our previous waitor and then walked away. I yelped for her to return and asked for our check because it was obvious she did not want to serve us. The manager returns saying he will comp drinks. We continue to recieve our food when I had already made up my mind I do not want to eat here. I told the busboys to take the food back and get our check! They ended up comping the drinks and we did not eat the tapas. Ended up taking our buisness to PUMP and had a great time!

Granted, I admit that this could be an age thing and I do not speak for patrons in their twenties(!) An atmosphere is great and vital, of course it is, but the dark (in places) setting and volume of music here made a glamourous evening a little bit of a battle. That said, the offering was so utterly brilliant and without fault that I should be pleased to return and book the quieter quarter of the immense room.\n\n10/10 and applause to the kitchen and staff, who were beautifully turned out.

I have been waiting to come to the Bazaar for years and I thought nothing would be more fitting and more wowing than to bring a first date here, and boy was I right. This place is so magical and special it is almost unfair to bring a first date here because the chance of making her dreams come true is guaranteed. Everything was beyond perfect. The hostesses saw to it that they took special care of me because I told them it was a first date and really important to me. Before the meal we went to the bar, where the incredible bar tenders amazed us with cotton candy drinks that turn into smoke before your eyes. The dinner was served by the chillest, nicest waiter who helped us navigate the 'bizarre' menu. The food... I can't even describe how delicious it was. Served in a tapas style, we ordered 8 dishes, where each bite was a treat within itself. And after our life changing meal it was time to be walked over to the desert room (yes, that's right there is a desert room that you have to walk to). I didn't think it could get better than dinner, but we had 2 of the most life changing, decadent deserts I have ever had my life. Despite the long drive from Anaheim, the experience was well worth it. May sound funny, but get the signature Gin and Tonic, won't disappoint. Leave time to visit the bar for a Martini. They cool the Glass with liquid O2 - wild. Tapas were great and had a wide variety. If you have folks that are not familiar with Tapas, let the server select. Service was outstanding..... Unique dining at its finest, the staff were friendly and very helpful in recommending food and drinks to suit our needs. All the food was so tasty and affordable for its location. Loved the chicken croquettes which cam out in a mould of a shoe - how clever. We ordered a few drinks and each one had a unique twist and presentation. Dessert was so precious and it's a whole new experience as you are moved to the opposite side of the restaurant which is much more lit up and 'dessert-friendly'. We ordered the chocolate mousse (so much more to it, not just mousse) which was so sophisticated and really unique.

I really enjoyed my visit to The Bazaar. The decor is very eclectic and there seems to be something to look at at every corner. They have some interesting as well as entertaining drinks. The food was beyond my expectations. I love the Foie Gras Cotton Candy, that's a must try. I'm not sure if there was anything I didn't like :)

I write this review not to bash the restaurant because I've been there many times but never have my friends nor myself felt disappointed like we did this time around. To start off, we waited over 45 minutes past our reservation time. Every single person who walked in after us got seated yet we were told that we would be next several times. Waiting that long after having a reservation at such a nice restaurant was pretty disappointing only to find out after we were finally called.. The hostess took us to the very back room and wanted to seat us on stools. We kindly asked if there were any other tables with chair seating available and her response was she didnt know when one would be available. What's the point of the reservation then?? We were given attitude at this point which was fairly disappointing because at this point its as if we were asking for much. We just wanted a comfortable table setting which apparently seemed too much to ask for. Then we were walked back out to the lobby to wait till something opened up. At this point, it was almost an hour past our reservations and not only were we still not seated but we were looked at by other employees like we had done something wrong. Sadly, we just wanted to experience a nice dinner with no other expectations. Then our drinks took another 30 mins to arrive as the bartender apparently didnt like the way it came out and was preparing another batch.. ?? We ordered still water and had I not looked over the bill, we were charged $11 for it. Definitely not my best experience at Bazaar. I felt as if we should have been taken care of somehow which never happened throughout the whole night. One thing after the next which makes me not want to dine there again.

The service in the bar was bad, had to ask hottest to send someone over to take a drink order.\nThe the waiter was so smug and would ask a question and he never waited or cared about what our answer was. Then to top it off, the 20% tip automatic. I think you should be warned of that going in. The waiter did not have to give us any service, he was guaranteed his 20%. The food was interesting and very very small portions. We had five people, so we had to either order two or three orders so each can the dish. The sea urchin was horrible.\nFood bill over $550 plus bar of 75 plus his tip of 20% over $700 for a lousy experience

The décor was really fun, unique and whimsical. The food was absolutely outstanding and so was the service. There were two of us and we were completely content with the portion size. The LN2 Caipirinha is tasty and entertaining. It’s made table side with liquid nitrogen. We had a pitcher of white sangria that was great. Croquetas de Pollo were fantastic, like eating puffy clouds. If you decide to get the Jamon Iberico you might as well go with the Jamon Iberico De Bellota Fermin. It is pricier but it melts in your mouth. The fois gras floating island soup was a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was spectacular. The air bread philly cheesesteak and foie gras cotton candy are not to be missed!! Also absolutely wonderful were the grilled Spanish octopus, ultimate Spanish tapa, braised waygu beef cheeks, not your everyday caprese (UNREAL), ceviche and the mushrooms and cream. All in all it was a really phenomenal dinner.

This is one of the few restaurants where I had no regrets spending a few hundred dollars for dinner. My wife and I came away from the experience with an extremely positive feeling. This place lives up to the hype. My main recommendation would be to save room for dessert. I don't ever order desserts when I go out, but at Bazaar, we ordered one after dinner and another dessert to go. So good!

The restaurant is particularly loud, which I don't mind because a lot of Los Angeles restaurants have a similar atmosphere. Came here to experience some unique flavors and tastes. The food was interesting, but definitely short of amazing. I don't mind paying top dollar for quality food, but the food was just not up to par with the price tag. What made everything a thousand times worse was the fact that our server never really came back to our table to check up on us after the initial meet and greet. And at the end of the night, I sat at the table with my date waiting 40 minutes for our server to bring us our check. Disappointing is an understatement.

Food was superb but I've never been so disappointed in the service at a restaurant of this caliber. Service was so bad, I even asked to speak to a manager but was ignored! I had to ask to speak to a manager twice before he finally came to our table. He seemed pretty unconcerned with our issues (which included , among other things, waiting 30min for a refill on our glass of wine, which was only eventually accomplished because I got up from the table and searched for another waiter who could help us). Excellent food, but will not be coming back because the service was so very, very poor ( and the manager did nothing to improve the situation). Could not recommend this location to others until they figure out how to get their service up to par with their food.

We came to dine here on 2/16/16., I was expecting a lot from this place got there @7:00 thinking it would be a good time to enjoy our dinner but not., we were seated with in 6 minutes, the room were we were seated had 8 tables seated and I counted 7 members staff and 2 managers but then to be greated We waited 14 minutes and then a manager notice that We weren't serve, he took the drink order, 3 minutes later the server notice us but we had order by then and manager deliver drinks whiting 7 minutes the magic mojito and a passion fruit martini which were delicious., but right after no service for another 12 minutes but we notice that tables that got there after us were already drinking and eating by then we were all disappointed with service we had to tell a busser to find the server and get the check who came and not even an apology., then manager came with an apology and asking what will make our service better?, and he wanted us to stay and even offer to pay for our cocktails but I denied because We went there to enjoy a nice dinner not to ask for free items we paid and left I'm sure our friend Mr Pepe(Jose Andrés ) wouldn't be happy with this because He created this restaurant with better philosophy ., but will come back And hopefully it'll be better.\r\nPs. parking is quite expensive for a bad service...

It took over 35 minutes to be seated even with a reservation. The restaurant was very disorganized. We sat down and it took over ten minutes to get water, after that we had empty glasses the whole night. We were recommended to forget the menu and have the server bring us house favorites and thats what we did. The food was mediocre at best, within a span of 30 minutes the we had to ask the server to stop getting crazy as the bill was already $600. Anytime we needed anything we had to get up and find a server. Even when we went to pay and leave we had to walk the bill up to a server in hopes we could leave some time soon. I love fine dining and I have been to many restaurants, and the Bazaar is hands down the worst service and restaurant experience I have ever had. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy.

Our party of 4 was seated in the Rojo Room where the noise was deafening enough to dull our ability to taste the food or have a conversation without shouting. Even the waitress had to shout-mostly overusing the word 'amazing.' I would only go back or recommend Bazaar if you can get a table in the Blanco Room where the atmosphere appeared more conducive to appreciating the food. FYI there is a podcast on Sporkful that substantiates the negative impact of high volume sound on the ability to taste. Sadly I didn't discover the podcast until I was on my drive home.

I really like The Bazaar, the restaurant set up is very unique and fun. I find it nice to have the option to move to the other side of the restaurant to have your dessert. The food is really good but the menu is a bit confusing, so you need to ask the waiter how the menu works before you start ordering. The service is really good and probably one of the reasons why the place keeps going strong. Some people may not like having the bar right in between the dining and dessert area, but I think it makes the place more fun. Overall we always enjoy the experience of dining at The Bazaar.

Bazaar is a trendy and vibrant tapas bar. The atmosphere is great as there is a variety of different rooms you may get a different vibe on subsequent visits. The service was excellent all around. The dishes are well prepared flavorful and everything was excellent. Our only issue is the value, even for tapas the portions are tiny one or two bites to share and given the portions it was very over-priced. We've been to many tapas restaurants so this was not our first or even novice exposure. We'd still recommend it for a fun night out in a happening place.

Evening started off good, sat down and the waiter explained the menu then took drink orders. Ladies ordered table side cocktails. We got ours, ladies waited 30min for theirs. We then proceeded to open our own Peter Micheals 2012 cab. Another waiter came and made a stupid comment.'brought your own wine huh, did you bring your own tapa's too'. Thats when we realized this place had more than one stupid employee. Food came, but wasn't as good as the Bazaar in Las Vegas, finally asked for the bill... Thank god i checked! Waiter charged us 5 bottles of corkage!! We had 6 people and only opened 2 out of three bottles of wine! We had to show them the unopened bottle to confirm we only opened 2, then the Manger made a rude face and proceeded to adjust the bill. He brings it over and tells us he made the correction and was sorry it happened. If his apology was not so brash we could have accepted and left. Now we know why the staffing was so bad. with management like this its a wonder the establishment is still operating. He must be related to Jose Andreas! We will never go back. Terrible dining experience. Good Luck to the next patron. When the manager reads this, he will know exactly who i was.

The food was typical of Jose' Andres. Half of it was outstanding (cheesesteak, foie gras candy, carrot soup) and half of it was horrible (too spicy or too sour). I experienced the same 50/50 mix at Jaleo and 'e' in Las Vegas. Service was good and 17 courses for $100 was a good bargain, but....\n\n3 negatives: \n\n(1) I explained to the waitress I was feeling full, so please give me the petite steak and dessert for takeout. 'Well we can't really do that, because it won't fit in the box & it will likely melt.' WAIT A MINUTE. Arguing with the customer who pays your wages & tips? Hmmm. Well I persuaded her, and then I drove the desert home in a box (It never melted and the meat fit in the box just fine.) She made much ado about nothing.\n\n(2) I paid for the tasting menu and received all the courses, but I noticed a man/woman sitting next to me that bought 2 of the menu, but only received 1 of each dish. That feels dishonest to me.\n\n(3) TIP. I was charged $120 instead of the advertised price of 100 due to an extra 20% surcharge. (Other restaurants I frequent charge 3% or 5%.) There was no notice on the menu of this additional charge, so in essence the restaurant committed a crime. \n\nBoth California and U.S. law forbids adding extra charges without informing the customer upfront.

The last 3 times I've been to Bazaar, I called ahead to request a semi-private table. One time it worked. The next time upon arrival I was told that there was no semi-private table for us (party of 4). I had to wait for the manager who finally took care of me. For this visit last weekend, I phoned 4 days ahead and was acknowledged for a semi-private table. I received a confirmation call on the morning of the reservation, and that person also confirmed that I would have the semi-private table for my party of 4. We arrived and were seated at table in the main room. I went back to the hostess, and she rudely said she would not talk to me about this issue, but she would call for the manager. The manager came and gave us what she could do. Annoying, for such a fine restaurant. The food and dessert are always over-the top fabulous.

The food here is delicious. So creative and beautiful. The restaurant is large, noisy with interesting decor. Our party of 4 was here for the $100 exclusive dineLA menu. For individual items - oyster, olive, shrimp - we each received one. When it came to the shared dishes - beets, ceviche, brussel sprouts - the portions were NOT increased. We had the same amount as the tables next to us who had 2 or 3 people. Yet the menu is charged $100 PER PERSON. The kicker is the jamon and two farm eggs. Our party of 4 had to share 2 eggs. If i ate alone I would have 2 eggs to myself. So there's the big inequity of this menu. Would a party of 10 have to share 2 eggs? We were not moved to the other side of the restaurant for dessert. That was a bummer. There is an automatic 20% gratuity. Although they say it's optional, there was nowhere to lower that amount, only raise it. Service was spotty - we waited 25 minutes past our reservation time, water glasses were not refilled, long gaps between some dishes, and they forgot to bring out our steamed buns.

From the time we walked into the Bazaar, it was a spectacular, multi-sensory experience. The dimmed red and black room; the liquid nitrogen frozen Caipirinha; the caviar cones with creme fraiche; hibiscus foam oysters; and ending with the nitro tropical floating island in the separate dessert lounge; all of these with the attentive service of our lovely waitress from Texas and other staff members lead to an experience well worth the price tag. We were in LA and wanted a spot we could get dressed up and enjoy a great meal on our last night there, a Friday night. We wanted a trendy new place with a great scene. Several people recommended The Bazaar. We were able to get a reservation, so we decided to try it out. From the start everything seemed great. We arrived a few minutes early so we went to the bar and were greeted with a really cool drink menu. My friend had heard about the cotton candy mojito and had to try that. The show that comes with the drink is almost worth getting it just for that. When we took our seats and started looking at the actual menu, we were both eager to dive in. Some notes... The liquified olives were the craziest thing either of us had ever eaten. We both highly recommend those to anyone that likes olives. Almost everything we had was really good. We opted more for the contemporary tapas than the traditional tapas, but in the end thought that was a good idea. The only thing that wasn't great was the muscles. I don't remember what they were called, but there was a list of things on the upper right hand corner. We weren't sure what those were exactly but decided to try it out. What it is is like a little tin with in our case lots of muscles soaking in olive oil with some chopped up veggies and spices. They were ok, but just ok. Also, we each got refills of our drinks at the table and were a little disappointed with the underpours we got at the table versus the bar. The waitress said that happens a lot.

It was too much like a Vegas club scene, so not my favorite environment, but the food was good wine was decent. Wished they pointed out that the tip for the wine table service was already included, we double tipped and the check isn't clear. The 18 course omakase seemed like what's been served for the last yr and we were under the impression it would be fresher and more inventive/creative than just picking right off the menu-wished we did that instead. The girl who served us and the staff were very nice and watching the bartender using the ingredients/ mixing the drinks was probably what most people would have most fun with. Desserts was offered in a separate desserts room done up in a Tim Burton-Alice in Wonderland vibe, and it was really good, but not mind-blowing (there was the coconut island nitrogen ball on honey that reminds me of one of Alinea's desserts). The food was overall good, but next time I would just stick w picking a handful of items from the menu and not the omakase meal or just go for drinks. If anyone wonders how it stands up to Providence, I would say Providence exceeds in food, environment, service and even price.

Having dined at Bazaar last week, my husband and I have talked constantly about how much of an incredible meal it was. I have been very lucky to have eaten at some of the worlds top restaurants but can say hands down Bazaar is simply the best dining experience I have ever had. From the innovative yet delicious food to the incredible service we received it was everything one could dream for when dining out. Yes it's not especially cheap but having spent the equivalent and more at other fine dining establishments we think it is quite justified in what they are charging in comparison to some restaurants we have eaten at of late that have much hype and little substance. The staff were very passionate about their jobs, the food and overall the company they work for. Perfection. We just wish there was a Restaurant as good as this back home in Australia. We take guests here because it is a crazy fun place with a great sense of play AND a great kitchen. Sure, it's trendy. But WHO CARES?! Dry ice smoke pours from your cocktail. Funny foamy gastro-molecular blobs give you mouth sizzles. Fab 'bring on the jambon' Spanish tapas encourages further worship of all this pork-y. An interior design that's equally over the top, in a Mad Hatter kind of way. And there's just something really charming about being ushered from your dining table to a Dessert Parlor where everything is bite-sized and you can continue wow-ing your senses without exploding a gut. It's a party, it's a celebration. Demand your friends take you here for your birthday.

However, things went downhill rapidly when we had finished the main courses we were told a 'dessert' table had been reserved for us in the patisserie.\n\nWe left our table and walked over to the patisserie and stood, ignored, for about ten minutes in the fully seated patisserie area. After several minutes we had already asked two, separate waiters what to do, where to go....and were told by both that someone would 'find us'...we had also attempted to return to our table in the dining room, but it was already seated with new diners. \nAnother 20 minutes later, when standing in the middle of the restaurant, later we found the sommelier, he was also sure someone would 'be looking for us' ...if we just wait. I explained we were all 6 of us standing in the middle of the restaurant for half an hour..and this was in the middle of our dinner!\n\nIn desperation we complained at reception. We were then hurriedly seated in an assembled table and chairs in what I would describe as the 'the foyer shop' for our dessert and coffee...and eventually given the $800.00 ( and that is without the 20% service charge) check to pay.\n\nWe arrived at 6.45 and left at 10.45....\n\nWe were staying the night at the SLS hotel and I complained about the experience in the morning at check out. I was given an apology by the receptionist and told, '...they were so rammed, they overbooked. But we are very, very sorry.. But don't forget to come back and give them another chance..it's such a great venue.....' \n\nI don't think we will be rushing back...

We had got to our reservation a hour early so we sat in the lounge for a few small bites to eat and cocktails. The server helping us was great and we were having a great evening. When our table was ready and we switched servers for our dinner reservation, the service was horrible. They were still open a few more hours so it wasn't like we were a last minute reservation so I don't know what the girls problem was. Please, if you have Natali as your server, ask for someone else! You will thank me later

The food was good and I expect small tapas but some of the items for the price were ridiculous. \n\nI understand that we are paying for Mr. Jose and his fabulous food, but there are so many places in LA that this is one that I probably won't return to for the food. \nAlthough some of the guests were crazy about it, I don't want to spend that kind of money and \nleave hungry. \n\nThanks, great atmosphere thought.

Eating at the bazaar was an interesting experience and I do not regret that we did it!! The food was very good and something else! I honeslty was not a fan of the salt air margarita and the Philly cheese sandwich was just too much cheese. But sooooooo interesting how they did it! We loooooooved the caprese salad (I believe that that was the name) it was just delicious. We had the omakase and the first part was great and the ambiance was nice. For the dessert part we went into another part, which was weird. It seemed more like a mall. We said right in front of the register where they sell accessories. ...we asked to change the table and the new one was better....but that needs some improvement in my eyes....also the music was modern pop, which I believe doesn't match the ambience. ..every one was super nice and the food was great and interesting

Bazaar is more than a restaurant - it is an experience. Countless culinary adventures await, many with a presentation that is as much art as food. The selection is huge ranging from seafood to game to new takes on such usually mundane items as Philly Cheesesteak. The Tapas format allows you to indulge numerous taste sensations at one sitting. Yes, it's pricey. But you truly get what you pay for. My favorite - the Rabbit. A must have!

Was recommended by a friend to try Bazaar for their known innovative modern Spanish cuisine. I appreciated the decor. There were many different styles to different parts of the restaurant. My boyfriend and I were first sat by the kitchen, which was a louder and more crowded area. We had to ask to be switched because I wanted a more romantic and quieter evening. When asked to change seats, the hostesses did not make me feel most uncomfortable. When the server arrived, he came off with a very arrogant air and did not seem friendly at all. To me it seemed like it was a drag to serve us and he was the one of the main reasons why i did not feel comfortable. I wish I got his name. He made me feel so dumb when I asked him about the wine list. The Bazaar has a huge wine list and their Spanish wines were very highlighted. Not being very familiar with their Spanish wine list, I inquired. The response I received was very matter of fact and not helpful at all. In the end, I had to just randomly pick one. I had also asked for a tasting which he was VERY reluctant to do which I did not understand why. The start of the night was just terrible. Near the end of my dining experience, this server's shift ended so we were switched to a younger server who was much much better. I wish we got him from the start. Him and the Sommalier were nice. In terms of the food, most were interesting in terms of how the foods were presented but taste...did not quite meet my expectations. My boyfriend and I had the prix fixe tasting menu and some of the dishes were just not that great. Some highlights were the cotton candy foie gras, the scallop, the japanese eel taco, the tuna ceviche and the desserts. The bad ones were the mushroom risotta (rice underdone), the olive dish, the iberico ham, the chicken croquette was extremely salty. The philly cheesesteak was also extremely salty which was a huge disappointment since it was so hyped up. I dont think the dinner was worth $450 including wine.

The food was great. The dishes were both creative and delicious. We really enjoyed the tapas style so that we could try a lot of different things. Even the drinks were as much fun to watch being made as they were to drink. But the place is loud and oversized. It's like barely controlled and very expensive chaos. In one room there was a table with a bench and no back. It smelled badly of fish in there. A second table they brought us to was in the middle of a passthrough and even the woman who sat us looked at us guiltily and then begged us to get up and follow her to somewhere else. The third table was fine, but the overstuffed cushions on the seats were lower than they should have been for the table so that you felt a bit like a five year old at the grown ups' table. The walls were too corporate. Everything has a hard edge. We saw people on dates but there's very little that's romantic. Tons and tons of young people out for the night. Like I said, it's loud.

One of the best meals and experiences I have ever had. The whole venue is sensational, I sat in the small of the rooms (there are various rooms) with the open kitchen on view. It was dimly lit, setting the right tone. \n\nThe food was out of this world but the level of knowledge and service really added to the experience, because they could advise on particular dishes that you may enjoy, explain the dish when it comes and also advise as to how to eat it - yes that's right! \n\nFor food of this quality, it was also good value. \n\nFor those with a sweet tooth, make sure you experience the pattiserie and have a post-meal drink at Centro bar rather than just at the table.\n\nI can't speak highly enough of the place and look forward to my next visit.

A friend told me about The Bazaar and she said the food wasn't good but another friend loved the food, so I wanted to try it for myself. Came here for me and my fiance's 7 yr anniversary, I'm honestly disappointed at the food. The foie gras soup tasted like nothing but BUTTER. It was really salty. The foie gras bun tasted really weird with the berry jelly. The rabbit taste just like chicken breast. Sorry, but I wouldn't recommend this place to any foodies and probably won't ever come back again.

We've been wanting to check out this place for years. I can't say we were disappointed. Everything was full of flavor. One complaint was that EVERYTHING was finished with coarse salt. Of course not the desserts, but everything else was. The shrimp in the garlic and lemon tasted a bit commercial like iodine. Like it had been frozen or processed. Not impressed with that. The best dish was the burrata cheese with the Japanese baby peaches but again the salt was out of place. It could have stood alone with the hazelnuts and tasted great. I understand the whole salt thing but it felt like an unwelcomed guest on this dish. The waiter suggested the chicken with the dates and mustard sauce, very boring, I can make chicken like that at home. I felt like he just felt obliged to sell it to everyone. He misjudged our pallet for sure. Overall, it was a great experience. Not for everyone though. Definitely it takes a certain type of person to be able to sample all the different tastes and move through them and enjoy them. It was impossible to get a wine to go with everything we chose. Although they tried to help guide us with a versatile white wine that would bridge the gap with all the different flavors, it just didn't work. Nor did the alcoholic drinks. Served before the food was just fine. The flan was fabulous. I don't need to rush back there again. Very pricy for the art food, didn't really feel like a complete dinner. But very unique trippy items on the menu.

We were very confused when we first arrived. We weren't properly told where to wait until out table was ready... After wandering around for five minutes a cocktail server helped us find the 'lounge'... Then it took way too long to get our table... Once at our table it took far too long to get the server over. The food was fine. It was not at all the delicious and mind blowing dining experience we were expecting, but it was fine. I do have to say that the staff, once they have time for you, is very nice. I don't think the lack of efficiency was their fault; they seemed understaffed (except for bussers; they had bussers galore). Overall I think there are more far more impressive restaurants in LA; we left unimpressed. I think we were simply disappointed as it wasn't at all up to par with what we were expecting, but it wasn't bad.

Must definitely come here for the bar and it's fantastic drinks - we ordered them table side. Restaurant is an expansive area but well designed ambiance. We ordered 7 vegetarian tapas dishes. Most were good, two were phenomenal, and one needed to be cooked better (the corn). A great explosion of tastes and textures. The jicama rolls and the beefsteak tomato are excellent. Overall for vegetarians the place has enough selections - and vegans. The dessert menu was a let down as all the choices were like chocolates and hard candy - we did not see anything that would be exquisitely prepared. It's as if the dessert list did not match the drinks and food. Overall great place to also go and enjoy the bar.

The meal overall was pretty good, but when it came to dessert, we were left with a bad taste in our mouth, no pun intended. We were taken to the dessert area where we sat for over 15 minutes without ever being addressed. We were then given attitude when we asked for the check and that took another 5 minutes to get. I would give it a second chance, but the service needs a little work. The food was coursed out at weird speeds at times as well.

As an avid home cook and restaurant goer I was left disappointed with The Bazaar. It feels like all the right elements are there and the quality of the plates should be a lot higher. My party ordered the $100pp omakase and only 3 or so, of the 21, were standouts. All the others didn't even come close. They all looked and sounded fantastic on paper but the execution of the dish left a lot to be desired. As mentioned in many 3 or less star reviews the balance of flavors and textures always felt off, way off. If one ingredient didn't overpower the others the salt always did. They are definitely not skimping on the quality of the ingredients, which makes all the most tragic that they seem to be using a paint-by-numbers approach to assembling these plates. Based on ingredients alone it's worth the money, but it's ruined by the lack of balance, nuance and too much salt on most. You'll get gauged on the uninspired drinks though. Also, as many have mentioned the service felt haphazard and unprofessional with dishes arriving in fits and starts; four at a time immediately after ordering, 10 mins later 1 more, 15 minutes later 3 more, as we are eating those 2 more, etc. It did not make for a smooth meal. Not all the presentation was perfect and some of the serving staff had trouble describing the plates clearly. I did not find pretense as others have. I thought it was a fun place. If you adjust your thinking and see it as a high-end theme restaurant and not fine dining I think you'll be OK. If you are young (with disposable income) and want to impress your non foodie friends or date. I think this place will work. Otherwise, so many more choices for amazingly executed food at this price point elsewhere in LA.

I purchased the 18 course meal for $100 and as the dishes came out I discovered everything is a play on words! What you read is not what you get, down to the philly cheese steak or the taco. Unfortunately the menu does not have descriptions to give you a heads up so ask your waiter questions! The greatest down fall of ordering the 18 course meal would be time, it takes a LONG time for the food to come out because they bring one dish in large intervals. My reservation started at 6:45 (I arrived at 6:30) and didn't not leave until 9:00! For me and my boyfriend the food was not worth the wait. He actually spat a few things out due to taste (& he's traveled to several countries). Basically, the food here is an acquired taste and for the super super well traveled tongue. He did like his alocolic drink however, I think it was a rum something.

This was my second time at the Bazaar, and the food was incredibly good. The 'tuna cone' special, squash blossoms, and sausage with beans were the highlights, but everything was perfectly prepared and tasty. My only criticism is the uncomfortable seating. We were first seated at a table with a sofa, which would provide no back support when you eat because it was too far away from the table. The waiter graciously moved us to another table, but the seat backs were too vertical to be comfortable. If the restaurant corrected the uncomfortable seating, it would be perfect. Other than that, it was a great evening. Highly recommended.

Host/hostess tried to seat us in back of restaurant by the kitchen at communal type seating when we arrived at 6:00 pm WITH A RESERVATION when the restaurant was 90% empty! When we asked to be moved to a better table, they seated us at a weird table for two where we were side-by-side so I couldn't even have a conversation with my date. When I asked nicely a second time to be moved to a different table, they finally accommodated us but I shouldn't have had to ask at all. Why not just give us a good table from the start, especially since we had reservations and the place was empty! Additionally, paying $14 to park your car is a bit much. The ambience was strange to boot - the restaurant is rather large and when it's not very crowded, has a cold, uninviting feel to it. Food was good but not worth all the other negatives.

We had a resv for 8;45 for 6. when we arrived they say the table was just finishing up and it would be ten minutes. we had a drink in the bar and the waiter there was very professional & nice. after 30 minutes my friend went to check on the table and was told the same thing, the table was just finishing up and it would be just another ten minutes. after an hour I went over to check again and their were 5 hostesses/employees standing around. When I suggested I understand things happen, but it was disappointing that no one from the host/hostess team came over and said it is going to be awhile and recommend us ordering an appetizer so we did not end up waiting an hour before we ate or even ordered. When I said, one of the hostesses was rude and ignored and walked away calling for a manager to the front to deal with a customer. No, I am sorry, let me get you something right away, just a blank and smug stare by all five of them. It was a joke. When we were finally seated and after I spoke with the manager, our waiter was excellent, but I am not sure i could ever go back with such a bad taste in my mouth from their attitude and it is very likely I won't. we still spent $1,200 and left the 22% tip for our server.

Saturday, early evening at The Bazaar. I like early since it's not noisy. We were in the black and red room, which I prefer. We had :\namuse bouche- served in a tiny cup, the creamiest mashed potatoes with a perfectly cooked soft egg at the bottom...If I could have licked the cup, I would have\nseasonal fried squash blossoms stuffed with creamy ricotta cheese- delicious\nthe caprese- possibly my favorite dish- the flavors just explode in my mouth, heavenly\nChicken with dates- sous-vide, so very tender and flavorful\nflank steak with peppers- the meat was cooked perfectly, the peppers were aerated, just like the tomatoes in the caprese. Very memorable\nPhilly Cheesesteak- OMG- unlike anything else.. biting into the thin bread with the meat on top and then experiencing the melting cheese (all over) is a very sensual experience...\nOff to the whimsical dessert room. The decoration changes slightly from time to time (I know this because I was there late June and there were changes) Dessert was the tiny bundt cake- a custard infused yellow cake with a hardish shell. The perfect ending to a wonderful meal.\nI also love the service here. Whoever serves the food tells you exactly how to eat it. \nOne of my favorite places in the city. \nThe only thing I DON't like is the 14.00 parking fee....geez....

Overall the restaurant was great and the decor is awesome. The wine list was broad and the tapas were a hit. The cheese plates and selections were just OK (didn't seem like something you couldn't buy at Costco) and overpriced - even for a higher-end restaurant like this. I'd also say the desserts were the biggest disappointment. Your server will physically relocate you to another area of the restaurant for dessert...an odd quirk, but interesting. The desserts were overpriced and fairly unimaginative in my opinion. For the odd feature of relocating you, you'd think the desserts would be out of this world for all the attention they draw to moving you. I'd go back but it wouldn't become my go-to place in it's current state.

I had high expectations of Bazaar after the one in Miami, which is amazing. However the food here was average, trying very hard to be more than it was. The cocktail with nitro took forever to be carted round to us and when it did, it wasnt too amazing. Overall underwhelmed, but the atmosphere was good and I would recommend just for cocktails and a snack in the bar area.
