Cons: Everything! A "4-star" hotel without a lift? Even in Spain? Not acceptable! Private parking? On a dirt lot shared with other properties and dircetly accessible from the street? Not acceptable! Non-funtional "safe" in room? Not acceptable! Only one (unstable, unusable) bedside cabinet in double room? Not acceptable! Bedside reading lights not separately switched? Not acceptable! Brown water in spa bath? Not acceptable! Walk-in shower with step in? Not acceptable! Restaurant "closed tonight", no bar? Not acceptable! Mouldy ceiling? Not acceptable! No "comfortable" chair(s) in room? Not acceptable! Friendly, helpful staff? Not here!
Pros: There was a bubblebath and the free bottle of cava was a nice touch.
Cons: The village of San Rafael is not really ideal and the hotel surroundings aren’t great.

The bathroom comes with a bath or shower. You can enjoy mountain view and city view from the room. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including a municipal pool, cycling, fishing and hiking. The property offers free parking. Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport is 77.5 km away.
Pros: Great place to stay at night, 85 km from Madrid Barajas Airtport. Hotel is small and very basic, good choice on a way from Madrid to northern Spain.
Pros: A basic hotel with all you need. Easy to locate next to the high-way, easy free parking. Safe area and probably well located for hikes in the green nature around. Several restaurants and bars within walking distance. We used the hotel only as a stop-over one hour from Madrid airport. If you dine in the restaurant and take the fixed menu, then the price is fair, but if you choose something else it is not cheap.
Cons: Traffic noise was a little disturbing if you open the windows. No AC, but because of the high altitude not a real problem. Breakfast was not included, but in the bar you could order what you want and it was fine. No elevator.
Pros: Good service very attentive during dining. Proper local atmosphere.
Cons: Breakfast very basic.
Pros: Cosy atmosphere Nicely heated
Pros: it was a cold night but the place was really cosy and warm
Cons: the free wifi was not good at all
When you stay at El Espinar in El Espinar, you'll be 14 minutes by car from Club De Golf Los Angeles De San Rafael. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Really nice and helpful staff at reception and the restaurant/bar. Clean, bright, plenty of room. Very comfortable bed. Easily controlled heat/cool in the bedroom. On site parking with lift to underground parking.
Cons: Better signage required on roundabout to access the property. There is only one very small sign a bit up the hill with a bed on it! Perhaps a big sign at the end of the road with hotel on it would help greatly especially at night.
Pros: Close to Madrid. The staff was kind and helpful
Cons: Changes in the road complicated the ay to arrive to the hotel by using the GPS coordinates
Pros: A good choice for an overnight stay if you happen to be driving by. Clean and comfortable (not always a guarantee here in this price range), decent typical pastries and sandwiches style euro breakfast.
Cons: Nothing close to a dislike, but know that it’s more or less in the middle of nowhere, with just a small town nearby, not a problem if you only need a place to sleep
Pros: Staff friendly. Room excellent and comfortable. Car parking easy. The food was what you would expect in a 3star Spanish hotel, very nice and reasonably priced. Everywhere was spotless.
Cons: The shower is over the bath and it was quite slippery.
Pros: The best thing was the friendliness of staff
Cons: Fridge in room didn’t work, no coffee tea facilities, beds very hard
Pros: The staff were friendly, the place was spotless. The bed was comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: Easy parking - good for travelling
Cons: Pillow A long almost tubular 'sharing' pillow -the person who thought this was a good plan should be forced to eat one ! Be careful to choose site on a map when inputting into your SatNav - the address will not take you to the hotel and it is not in El Espinar
Pros: Very practical hotel. Well kept. Nice food at a very competitive price.
Cons: Not much to dislike.

This hotel has facilities measuring 5382 square feet (500 square meters), including a conference center. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Nice looking hotel on the inside with comfortable well appointed rooms. Considering there were large coach parties checking in at the same time as us the staff coped pretty well. Satnav instructions were good and took us right to the back of the hotel.
Cons: There was a cycling event finishing and two tour buses in front of the hotel which made access a bit chaotic. Only one coffee machine in the breakfast area for all the guests and the coffee was the worst we have tasted during our one month visit to France and Spain. Everybody seemed to gather in the Irish bar next door (very loud music) which made the bar area redundant which was a pity. The hotel is situated in an urbanisation that was designed for activities and shopping; however most of the units are closed and empty which is a bit sad. There was a separate dining function for coach parties on in the hotel, in a separate room, and the main dining room was empty and had only a limited menu. We went to a nearby restaurant where the food was awful.
Pros: the premises of the hotel are beautiful; nice view on the mountains
Cons: the ac did not work; the air in the room was too hot, even to sleep. the food at the restaurant at the hotel did not meet expectations; the hotel is difficult to find from San raphael
Pros: Hotel was conveniently located to Motorway, Free Wi-Fi
Cons: In a strange gated community - somewhat run down. Hotel rooms very tired. Breakfast Buffet looked like it had been out for hoiurs.
Cons: The hotel needs refurbishment. Paint peeling. The furnishings were shabby and the toilet did not work. Air conditioning was extremely poor. Hours of swimming pool were restricted - not open until 5pm on saturday and not at all sunday afternoon. Swimming cap compulsory but not provided free of charge. Nowhere to sit outside. Pool remained covered even though outside temperature was 28 degrees
Pros: It was a comfortable and relaxing hotel, the hotel staff was more than accomodating.
Cons: That I was not informed that the hotel was not in short distance of the town I was visiting but rather 22km away.

Pros: Staff were very friendly. Rooms were spacious. The grounds are beautiful. The little town of San Raffael was buzzing with celebrations. The breakfast in the restaurant was delightful and the staff member (I don’t know his name) was very attentive and went the extra mile.
Cons: No lift!
Pros: Breakfast is great, big room for the family (2 Adults - 2 Kids). The staff is super friendly and the front desk is open 24hr.
Cons: No lift.
Pros: The strutture is well organised. Reception girl was kind.
Cons: The breakfast staff: absolutely unpolite and unprofessional. Mattresses were very uncomfortable.
Pros: good value for money and friendly staff. Breakfast was good.
Cons: room was dated and information was not clear about pool being closed. staff did not explain about any of the facilities that the hotel offered that I read about. facilities in room are basic.
Pros: Friendly welcome, nice decor. Beautiful scenery around hotel, lovely walk down into town. Hotel bar (and breakfast room) very attractive and barman excellent- with great English!
Cons: Wish we had known in advance that restaurant was closed as ‘out of season’ Nothing much else available in town centre to dine in... but we found a supermarket and had a picnic!

Pros: The staff were extra care and polite. Quite and relax enviroment; Just about the heating maybe a bit cold in winter specially if its snowing, from my point of view might have radiator in there as well.
Pros: Room very clean
Cons: Didn't like climbing three flights of stairs and the breakfast if that's what they called it wasn't worth eight euros for 1small cup coffee and 1 very milky tea and 2 chiros no quossants or anything else offered.neither the bar or dinning room were open.
