Tranquil setting, excellent food, very good pools, good access to beach, good picturesque grounds and attentive staff
Very welcoming and informative from moment of arrival. No language problems. Very suited to families but equally suited for a quiet break which we were looking forward to as no noise disturbance even though hotel quite full. Food excellent with plenty of variety and fresh produce - good value for money.
Staff very efficient and friendly The guests - my wallet and mobile telephone were stolen at poolside
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff; the tremendous variety of food and entertainment. The lovely swimming pools. The disabled room did not have grab-handles in the bath to give more stability when showering.
relaxing atmosphere, closesness to beach, excellent buffet
we had a very nice sea view no very enjoyabale stay
Everything was absolutely perfect: very clean, delicious food and very friendly staff. We were there from 24/3/08 until 31/3/08 -> it was awesome. We also went to the MotoGP-race @ Jerez, which is only a 45 min. ride -> great holiday!
fast service in the restaurant, animation, cleanliness SPA is rather old with limited treatment and service, strong kitchen smell in the room at breakfast and dinner time, few staff speaking English, slow and bad service in the bar (during animation program)
For a large hotel-and I generally don't like large hotels-all systems worked with precision. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and the location of the hotel with less than a 2 minute walk from the hotel to the beautiful barrosa beach was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel. No!
Food buffet was excellent every evening, something for everyone. Very peaceful surroundings. The staff were all very pleasant, but we found there was not enough of them in the bar areas - had to wait for drinks, could not get service on the outside terrace. Disappointed that the pool bar was not open later than 6.30 on warm sunny evenings in April.
We played golf, and used the restaurants in the courtyard at Novo Sancti. Went to the fabulous beach. No
New and nice designed hotel, good location in Sancti Petri, Junior suite are perfect for family purpose. Lovely pool and vicinity. Beach within walking distance (5 minutes) Choice and range of product offered for Lunch and Dinner should be improved.
The quiet and tranquility no
This hotel is fully meet 4* star requirements. Very comfortable, clean, good restaurant, very clean pools. Most of personnel doesn't speak English. There was not enough parking placesnear the hotel.
Not much, only the hotel staff: nice and efficient. A lot but above all its value for money: 300 euros per night for a hotel where, for example, simply there was not sufficient parking space!!
Only the location!! pool inside and outside very cool! lanuages problems, sliding door to the balcony was broken, Aircon during the night switched off by the Hotel, for everything you have to pay
The swimming pool and the food were very good Air conditioning was rubbish throughout the entire hotel, and especially the rooms.
The location I was first given a room with views over the parking and the room stank of stale tobacco so I went down to reception and upgraded to a room with sea views. Lovely room, lovely views but the floor was covered in dead ants. Rest of the hotel and area was fine.
On the beach. Great variety (and good quality food) at buffet breakfast and dinner. Nickel and dimed you for everything - beach towels, beach umbrellas and hammocks. Older and therefore grungier rooms and facilities.
i liked the stuff. very pleasant and obliging. i liked the breakfasts, which are in many levels above the general class of the hotel. the breakfasts were just excellent, though the dining room was crowded and noisy. i did not like the fact that you can get no food at any time, apart from the breakfasts, and you need to get out of the hotel in order to get something to eat.no room service, and even this Pizza delivery didn't work at the relevant times (we tried twice).
the buffet service for breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good, plenty of family entertainment at night, good location by the beach, great sea views from my room, close to a commercial centre There were no snack facilities between lunch and dinner and the mini bar is only filled up on request, which means filling in a form and taking it down to reception. The phone was not working and I had to carry all my luggage to my room myself.
The position of the hotel and the pool is fantastic. The hotel is very clean and well mantained.
Swimming pool, close to the beach, parking...perfect place to have rest and enjoy the beach. We stayed during the general strike in Spain and the hotel made a lot a efforts to keep a good service. Person at the reception and Brita, the manager, were very kin during our stay... Swimming pool very cold !!
I enjoyed the facilities and friendly staff together with the great selection of food at the buffet. when we first checked inone of the rooms allocated was quite appalling but this was immediatley changed, also being a four star hotel their was no help with the luggage and we ahd two prams to carry also!!
relaxed environment the staff at checking made me pay for the whole stay upfront and they did not understand the reservation, thus tried to charge me dubbel the amount...
all ok nothing
Food was good This is not a 4* hotel. Only go there if you are prepared to fight your was through crowds of bad mannered locals for any food or facilities which are on offer.
Sea front view and big pool cocktails and drinks
Although the hotel offers accommodation to hundreds of clients, we were very impressed with the organisation and running of the hotel. The staff is excellent, efficient ,polite and helpful. Sometimes because the hotel accommodated hundreds of people , it was somewhat noisy, but nothing to complain about.
Excellent conditions to disabled guests (rooms and both swimming pools). Staff very nice. Disabled guests have 1 car free parking place. The car parking is about Eur 7 for each day. In the check-out day, the lunch was not provided though in the check-in day we only had dinner due to the time of arrival.
on my 3rd night when I went for dinner with my girl friend, Mr. Alfonso who works at the resturant did not allow me to get in to the resturant( in rude way??????) because I was wearing short. When I spoken with the hotel reception and the manager they apologize and allow me to get in. The minute I went in again he start shouting with the reception on the phone saying he would prevent me tomorrow if I wear shirt again?????.I feel this is a holiday place where people should behave up to expectations. I hope this not to happen again, and suggest an interpessonal effectiveness skill course to that staff member to improve the quality of communication.
I liked the fact that we had our own car and were able to go out every day away from the noise and disruption of the other guests. Too many children, very noisy, food was often cold and not enough facilities considering the remoteness of the hotel.
The excellent staff, location, food. The children are gratis! The descrption of each room is almost exactly the same on the page of booking.com and the rooms are different and in two hotels so you never know ich which part you are going to sleep. In the room we booked we had two single beds instead of one dbl bed.
Very friendly and helpful staff (Felix!), great location, good facilities, great beach, comfortable and spacious rooms with sea view
Beautiful location, convenient for beach and town. Very attractive gardens, bar and pool areas. Lavish buffet breakfast.
The hotel has all the facilities you'd expect from a large 4 star. The room was comfortable, the staff helpfull in at least 4 languages (English, Spanish, German & French) and the meals were wonderful. If I had to say something I didn't like about the hotel it was that it took a few minutes to walk to the beach but with the nice pool that wasn't so bad.
good location and friendly staff The see view is veru narrrow !! Need's to be re decorated, old furniture. Seems to be a family hotel, a bit old fashion
A wonderful breakfast!! Close to the beach, nice swimming pool, easy to park the car
We found the total expeience friendly, relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. The staff excelled in making our hoilday as memorable as one would wish. Food super and room clean and comfortable.
Apart from 2 above, the selection and display of the food at the buffet counter was excellent. 1. Signposting to the hotel needs improvement. 2. There are three resorts, one adjecent to the other and each with its own Recpetion area. If guests arrives at the incorrect one, they are redirected to the other resorts and this is inconvenient, specially during hot weather. Suggest make all Reception areas suitable for check in any of the resorts
swimming pools and layout of the garden and friendliness of staff also wonderful selection of food at breakfast No
Proximity from the sea, staff always ready to help and good welcome, a lot of facilities, free champagne Use of safe was not included in the hotel price (not expensive, but why charge clients for that?)
The best thing by far were the staff. Very friendly, helpful and courteous, they are your biggest asset We did not like the baby club closing as of the 1st September, ourselves and other families would have welcomed the service.
Good food and accommodation Unfortunately due to the weather on the day previously, we were unable to use the outdoor as it was closed due to it being in need of cleaning.
Nice location, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is new, clean and quite an impressive building, nice pool and access to good beach. Buffet food of generally high standard, although very large and impersonal eating area. Good undercover secure and free parking. Drinking and eating around pool not allowed, presumably for safety reasons but could have used plastic instead of glass. Detracted from being able to fully unwind and relax around the pool. More for family stays than intimate get-away.
Facilities were excellent
he design of the hotel is very attractive and the bedrooms spacious and beautifully decorated. The pool is superb and there is very easy access to the beach, along which one can walk for miles. The food is superb and the staff extremely polite and helpful. There's a very relaxed and luxurious air about the place. It is a treat to have a free car park which is reasonably secure, although the parking spaces are quite narrow. We were glad to have a smallish car.
Great place to stay for sun holiday. Beach, golf, pool excellent. Staff so friendly and nice. Lovely touches such as serving sangria by the pool and before going into dinner. Night time entertainment is limited and poor
I enjoy my stay at the Iberostar Andalucia Playa... everything was excellent and I hope I can return soon. Thanks for the flower that I had received from one of your employed. GRACIAS
Absolutely nothing for kids to do - the park in the sister hotel was locked which seems a waste. The childrens pool was not in use and I felt the whole atmostphere has changed since our last visit two years ago - for the worse.
Great staff, incredibly friendly. Fantastic location, on the beach. Quiet area, great to relax. Lack of F&B offer
Location good easy to find efficient reception good breakfast would stay at the hotel again. Not too expensive to park car in secure place No
The bed was not that good.
Location, first line sea front. Good pool. I injured my arm on the shampoo dispenser in the bath which was too close to the shower end of the bath, also the wall light in the bedroom is too low, being placed at head height. I suggest moving both. I was disappointed to find I had to pay 12 euros extra for my small dog, for no reason given.
Did not stay very long but the short time I spent there was good. Buffet breakfast had a good choice. I had a room with private balcony and great sea view for a beautiful sunset. Neighbors can be very noisy when on Balcony. Parking not free.
The sea view and the friendly efficient reception staff. Being told by a cleaner we were not allowed to park our car in the garage even though we had paid for parking and had a garage access card to prove it. We showed the card, but he still said we couldn't park, we had to pay 20 Euros. Ignored him and parked.
staff at reception very friendly and helpful it was quite cold in the bathroom (air condition only in room)
Location, decor, layout, pool Price of the beer in the bar: we only used it once and you lost our trade for the rest of the time there
Excellent location close to beach and village. Relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. Excellent breakfast selection
Excellent location with easy access to beach and town centre. Staff all pleasant and helpfull. Not well signposted and pillows on beds were poor
Great location , helpful staff, breakfast was excellent. Room size was adequate and comfortable The extra charges are annoying 6 € to park your car, hire of pool towel. Drinks are expensive and when eating out its better to use the local restaurants
The most unique hotel really amazing worth seeing even if you weren't staying here. Really five star. Excellent breakfast great food Everything in the room is so high tech. Our curtains started opening and closing by themselves at 2:00 am. We shoul have asked for a little inservice on how to work all the controls.
Comfortable, clean and pleasant surroundings Found nothing to complain about
Perfect setting, very friendly staff, good facilities, enjoyed spa treatments, cleanliness. The music in the communal areas (corridors) was too loud.
The spacious areas at the pool and beautiful scenery In the evenings room service would take up to an hour for a tea and a coffee. More staff is needed. Also it's too big, I do not know where everything is after being 3 days there. La Zahara restaurant is way too expensive, it cost 150euros for 2 and we were both young people. Finally the way to go out to the beach was very long.
The hotel gardens are wonderful. The staff helpful and cheerful. The food is excellent. Only the fact that I paid 53euros per night more than was necessary, and presumably that much more than most of the other guests.
Too much beton for my taste around the pool and terrace, too much city type hotel
The customer services staff, Bachi, Maria and Monica were very good Rooms were noisy from the disco on the ground floor, the rooms were not up to standard with leaks in the bathroom shower reported but not fixed, the hotel food was not good value for money and very few staff could communicate in English
Excellent pool facilities . The opening hours of the hotel bar we found could be extended at weekends.
I liked the facilities, the friendly staff and the big selection of food at breakfast and lunch.
Good design, pleasant staff, clean and efficient, good facilities A bit understaffed in some areas
good location, helpful staff
Appartments are furnished with microwave owen and dishwasher so i suppose it's best for long stays. We were there just for 1 night but kids and people seemed to have fun in the pool and public area of the residence. Quiet place. The big problem, as stated by others in previous reviews, is the smell in the bathroom that seems to be common of the whole area (and not necesarily related to the hotel); we had to let windows open for more than 1 hours after we got in and during the night to "airtight" the bath. I would have rated hotel staff much towards excellent but they only get a good rating because at check-in we got asked to pay in advance or give CC number.
very nice apartaments. very clean and Near the beach.
Swimming pool, quiet bungalows, a nice place for families with young children, a lot of structured activities for children The parking was rather chaotic.
The kitchenette in my room was completely outfitted. I ate breakfast on the little patio outside my room each morning, and without having to buy anything to prepare it except the food. Apartamentos Tartessus Sancti Petri itself is unexceptional: There's nothing to dislike, but there's little to rave about either. The facilities are clean, the lobby is attractive, the staff is polite, the rooms are nicely-- if simply-- furnished....y punto. That said, you can't beat the price or the location. This hotel is ideal for a family or friend vacation, but not for someone looking to spend a weekend in the lap of luxury. If I visit Andalusia and the Jerez Horse Fair again next year, I'll probably stay in the same spot.
I was very impressed with the hotel. The staff throughout the hotel were all very helpful and cheerful. The standard and variety of food was excellent. The cleanliness of all areas was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again. I would have liked the indoor pool warmer and the jacuzzi hotter. I would have liked the gym/pool open later in the evening.
It was all cool in this hotel: comfort conditions. It was all the way you said it would be! Only to advance in skill in hotels staff
An absolutely excellent breakfast!
The Kindness of all the Staff...The location of the Hotel
During the stay over 5 days the staff, service, basically all hotel arrangments were just excellent. Even though it si not a new hotel, the quality of 5* can be felt all over. great staff fromthe reception to the pool area. Excellent food. Fantastic room service. a place to come back to. Cannot think of even one...
Extremly windy place.
Played Golf Hotel had very low occupancy when we stayed there. Moved on to Hitel next door because music in bar each night
The pool area was very nice and relaxing, with very easy access to the beach with its own sun beds and umbrellas The A/C in the gym was not working, so it was very hot and neither did the hair dryer in the room work
Nice staff, good location,m large rooms and good bed Hotel is abit faded glory and does not deserve the 5-stars grand luxe label. Many details are missing, and at the price we paid, it was not value for money.
The staff is great always helpful. The food at Alhambra restaurant is very good. The room was always cleaned on time. The Alhambra only had 11 tables. Other restaurant was only buffet and the third was bad and closed for the evenings. The tapas bar should have more options.
nice hotel, in very good location, but ,in particular, the town-Conil-is v attractive-so this hotel was a very convenient,cost-effective access to it
Good location very close to the beach (but let down by being situated on a roundabout which, together with the car park to the hotel next door, provides the view from the hotel cafe-bar!). The room (standard double) was spacious and well equipped (although no tea/coffee making facilities) and the bathroom was great (however, again, the room was let down by the view which was of the construction site next door). The cafe bar served great coffee. Breakfast buffet was pretty good (though the bread could have been fresher sometimes and a few more "healthy" options wouldn't go astray) and even included champagne (or perhaps sparkling wine). I booked this hotel on the basis that it had a gym, pool and was right on the beach. The "gym" was a bare dark room with about 3 items of equipment in it. The pool area (on the roof) was small, there was no cafe/bar and was deserted. It was close to the beach but not on it and did not have views as it is set back up a hill behind other development. The hotel was a bit sterile and character-less, despite being promoted as "family run" & "Andalusian style". It was very quiet although the height of summer and claim to be fully booked. The cafe-bar was usually deserted. Not a complaint as such, but I was the only English person and it seemed very geared towards German clientele. Would not recommend this hotel for solo travellers
We did enjoy our stay. The hotel was quiet and well positioned for walking, to city centre. The structure was creative in the amount of light it allowed from top floor to give an open airy feeling.
Very nice building and comfortable room Although it has its own access to beach, the hotel is surrounded by other buildings and there are no views from the windows or balcony. Luckily we were on the side which had a reasonable view of the forest but nothing else to see.
The peace and quiet was wonderful The only thing I would say to complain about is that there is another hotel that has been built in front of the hotel that obsures the sea view
Delightful, helpful staff. Good breakfast. Clean and fresh. Not on beach front, as implied in photos - but good positon wrt beach.
Close to beach The surrounding area and the path to the beach isn't well looked after- plastic bags flying around in the wind, rubbish bins overflowing near the hotel and the path to the beach could be rather creepy if you returned from the beach at night.Of course life in Spain would not be complete without a construction going on in the next parcel. Yet another hotel?...boring and certain to spoil the view of the sunset from Hotel Costa Conil one of these days. The receptionist didn't seem too interested in helping us. The waiter in the b'fast room was aloof and cold to the people who weren't German. It is a hotel that is geared to German tourists Tourist info and activities in German. Foreign TV channels in German. Decor cheap and ugly
Location to the beach and the town of Conil The beds were hard and uncomfortable, seems like all the money was spent on the design of the hotel and and little spent on the furnishings.
