Hotel clean and bright and near train station- easy to find. Room a good size and very modern. Nothing
The closeness of the hotel to both the city centre and railway station. The bar of the hotel was also pleasant. The breakfast was rather poor in terms of the hot food.
Our stay was perfect. I loved the decor., There were 2 showers which was good, the staff were friendly informative and fluent in english, and it cost the same for 3 nights there than it did for 1 in Amsterdam. Thank you!
Location is perfect, the public transport hub of Hengelo is less than 5 minutes on foot. Breakfast is superb, definitely worth the price.
Nice large room Breakfast was not included in the room but upon checkout they just assumed that I had breakfast. Only when I asked what I was paying for I learned that I was paying for breakfast that I never had. Of course they corrected for it but still.
Excellent value for money and good location.
Its location being adjacent to Hangelo station with satisfactory avaialable services, I will always like to stay in eden star hotel hengelo for my trip to Hangelo.
Large, clean room. Decent breakfast. The tv system menu wasn't very user friendly and operation was slow.
Nice location and very nice staff
The location, breakfast, spacious room, TV were nice... No Wi-Fi in the rooms...
Large rooms, comfortable, well equiped but quite noisy on the outer ring of rooms Noise from traffic
position: very close to highway and easy access. very good restaurant with wide choice of dishes all of excellent quality. large rooms, very comfortable and with balcony. long walk to the rooms. if you are on 3rd floor there are only stairs and no elevator.
Excellent location, setting, decor, food and service to name but a few positives. As a group of "bikers" on big touring bikes, we were not only made very welcome, but friendly staff made space for our bikes in the secure underground goods area, giving us peace of mind during our stay.. The low price belies the quality of this venue ! a must for uk bikers heading east or just going the long way round the area !!
food was excellent
Location at route A1 - easy to come to Wireless Internet should be included in the room price. Alternatively a low 24 - 48 - 72 hour fees in stead for a number of minutes, where you constantly have to remember to log out. Comon practice in many other countries.
We Liked the large bathroom and the convinience - it is just of the autobahn. The breakfast had a wide selection and was well presented. The room and public areas were dirty and our room smelt of smoke despite being non smoking.
Distance to rooms from reception and poor signing of directions
The beds Yes, climatisation was very poor
Clean and quiet room that was comfortable. The food was good quality and value especially the breakfast. There was a lot of noise in the main reception area and bar.
Good beds, very large room. breakfast could be more varied
The decoration of the bar and the dining were most unusual but very nice and the food was excellent but the the choice linited on the menu we selected The location was quite a way out of town but we obviously did not read the details sufficiently.
Quiet location yet close to city. Well equiped rooms. Good restaurant. Breakfast needs to be refurbished after 9:00 am for international travelers handling time change!
Beautiful hotel, rural quiet atmosphere, nice staff, clean spacious rooms, very good breakfast with lots of fresh-made food to choose from. One, you have to pay for wireless internet and two, the rooms are quite thin-walled.
The hotel was very quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. Lack of choice of evening meals. The food was excellent quality but rather small portions.
Large room well presented. Light and airy hotel, plesant English speaking staff Very poor signage to the hotel, no "Entrance/Reception" signs. We arrived on a dark wet night and couldn't find our way in, ended up driving onto a cycle path. The hotel looks like a row of houses and not a hotel
Convenience of location The room was a little noisy - close to the receptions. Smoking should be completely banned in areas where people eat - it is very unpleasant eating in a room where people smoke..
everything, it was perfect
I liked the spacious room especially. The breakfast buffet was excellent as well. No
Very nice place.
very personal hotel staff and director , excellent food , nice rooms
Friendly staff and a pleasant and relaxed environment. The dining experience was good but the menu was a little overpowering for more than one evening meal.- A simpler selection or an enhanced bar/bistro menu for evening meals might be useful. The room while clean and comfortable suffered from a somewhat soiled/stained and aging carpet.
The location is superb with a very relaxing view from the dining room. Staff was very helpfull. Bed was comfortable. I was expecting a pricey diner, but quality wasn't quite there. The desk in the room was a bit small. Breakfast quality and selection was below expectation.
location of hotel is beautiful, in the middle of woodland and within walking distance of Oldenzaal. economy rooms are very small!
Excellent surroundings for jogging; quiteness and comfortable room. no
Sauna and swimming pool
Food and wine was Fantastic None
it's always very relaxing, people there makes you feel like home.
The tranquillity. The smoking of guests outside on the balconies; the smoke drifts into the rooms.
Excellent location for Military Equestrian Event- hotel was nice & warm as cold weather. Swimming pool good. Not sure hotel is 4 star, rate was increased due to equestrian event, some of the decor needs replacing - paint splattered carpets! Limited menu for 4 day stay.
The swimming pool was the best part of our stay. It is open very long hours, have nice heated water and is suitable both for adults and children. The other thing was pizza we ordered from the hotel restaurant. Very convenient to order and very tasty! No complaints at all.
Very comfortable appartment, but we did have to ask for towels, the location was very peaceful. I did think the breakfast was over-priced for the children as they do not really eat that much!!
The rooms, restaurant and lounges were furnished to a high standard and the staff were very friendly and helpful I would have liked tea making facilities in the room
Very good price, pool, breakfast, hard to find without navi system
It is very dificult to find the hotel. No road seigns and more names at the hotel entrance. No parking under roof for motorcycles.
Hotel has an excellent restaurant which is not expensive (also nice 3course menu-of-the-day for just 25 eur!) & has beautiful view on small pond+fountain plus terraces for dining outside in spring/summer. Quite large indoor pool with walkout to lawn, two excellent hard tenniscourts. Rooms on ground level have real nice small open terraces. Buffet breakfast in same restaurant and including scramled eggs and all other food+drinks one could possibly be craving for in the morning. View from half of the number of ground floor rooms is on parking lot, although through bushes+trees.
English speaking staff
Room size, outside environment, and restaurant. Sound insulation between rooms was poor, and the room lacked air conditioning. When Mosquitos are around in the hot weather, opening the windows is not an option, and so the room was too hot at night.
The hotel staff were superb; kind, professional and any question was answered quickly and efficiently. The room at the rate we were given was excellent, but the bathroom could have been a little more up-to-date considering the room was a Luxury Room and not a Standard Room. The room was on the ground floor and with a very small terrace; however, on closer inspection all the rooms on the ground floor appeared to have a terrace, but with absolutely no privacy, i.e. when anyone sat on the terrace your immediate neighbours were sitting side by side giving the impression of a rather grand holiday camp and not really in keeping with the description of the hotel as being luxury. As my husband and I went for a week's holiday for rest and recreation we did not really want to have every other guest joining in our conversations! The rooms were not very well insulated. There was no alternative to the formal restaurant for dinner.
De Lutte is a brilliant area to stay. There is so much to do and to see for young and old. Best is to rent bikes to get around. Or nice walks. The breakfast was very poor; limietd choice and very very smal portions. When asked they did re-stock, but the habbit of having to ask every time: can you pls...? And then for 17,50 Euro per head extra. It was warm that day, and there seemed to be no ventilation in the breakfast room. Also, we had masses of dead bugs on the wall in our room, and also here the ventiliation didn't work. For a garden suite there was very little garden to admire (pebbles and tiles as we were on the first floor). The warm water didn't work when we wanted to shower after our swim. and the shower head in the bath leeked water from all sides, apart from where you would expect it. Rest was OK
Enjoyed location and service
The hotel has an excellent restaurant. Very friendly staff.
quite and convenient
we had an excellent stay, rooms food and service were excellent
Very good staff and lovely setting. The rooms and hotel itself beautifully decorated and located.
The hotel restaurant has exceptional food.
Really a nice hotel and a nice and professonal staff
Friendly staff, clean room, good parking, good bed, spacious room 15 min waiting time at check in. Room was a bit dark with black wall and dark carpet.
Very good hotel. Clean spacious room with extra large showercabin. Good breakfast.
The room was modern, well equipped with a comfortable bed, very clean and well presented. All of the staff were extremely polite and very helpful. The restaurant/bar had a good atmosphere/ambiance and the meal was excellent! I highly recommend this hotel. I couldn't fault anything and will be pleased to visit again in the future.
room was indeed large, clean and stilish. Bath room large and with an enourmus shower. Pretty bar in the hotel no minibar in the room
Are really nice hotel with a very helpful staff. The room was big and cosy and the infrared sauna in the room! A nice touch. I can warmly recommend this hotel. The breakfast could be a little better (like egg & Bacon etc.), but was absolutely ok.
Staff were very friendly. Restaurant was very good. Very modern hotel. Couldn't fault it.
Always a very nice stay in De Schout. Rooms are nice and staff is always kind an helpful. Just miss my first experience in this hotel.
The hotel was great value in this area.Ideal for a longer stay boasting 10 pin bowling, pool table, darts and a swimming pool with spa facilities. If I had realised I would have added an extra night for some R&R!
Only had the one night stay at the hotel, but found the restaurant, with dinner and breakfast to be very good. The bedroom was quiet to relax in and the bathroom was very clean with excelllent facilities. Good service from all of the staff.
Excellent value for money. Evening meals available in Restaurant or Bar. 3 local restaurants as an alternative. Inclusive hot buffet breakfast. Room appointments basic. Small wall-mounted TV but 20+ channels.
silence, cleanliness, nice atmosphere. no.
Have French television channel
Very good food in the restaurant. Rooms seem to have very thin walls, combined with that the hotel is used by groups, who enjoy the golf during the day and drinking till late in the evening (early in the morning) and who don't manage to be very quite on their way back to their rooms.
Rooms are OK, breakfast was fine
Free parking and internet. Breakfast was not too bad. Rather poorly equiped rooms.
the possibility to have great outdoor fun, but in case of a day of rain you could enjoy a sauna bath.
Exceptional kindness of the staff and the owner, delightful atmosphere and kitchen. Very good knowledge of foreign languages. Definitely worth visiting.
Very friendly staff, very beautiful hotel... I also recommend the restaurant.
Friendly staff; offered me a glass of wine when late check in. Was only guest in hotel, nevertheless I felt not alone. Amazing address! At night there's no receptionist. I didn't bother, but still.
the hospitality, the level of service, friendly staff, the garden, the room, everything. It was a pleasant surprise, because usually dutch hotels are a bit 'stern' and not very service oriented...
the breakfast garden too big, looks old on the picture but is new, no plasma tv in expensive room
Late arrival arrangements No.
Location was excellent. Staff were helpful. Romms were comfortable and clean. Car park large and convenient. Restaurant closed far too early. Breakfast should have started at 7 am, It was scheduled to start at 8 am but the food was not ready at 8 am.
Good price through booking.com; friendly staff; fine breakfast. Bathroom was a bit old: sewer smell, mould on ceiling and the shower did not support itself. Nicer rooms were available at extra cost.
The hotel generally - the surroundings - the natur .... No - everithing was OK
the friendly and respectful attention of the staff pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant keen eye for originality of the decoration
I bought bunches of flowers and asked for vases which they immediately provided, whatever we asked, we always got a good answer and help. I liked the friendliness of the people (very important) but also the punctuality, very nice place to stay. The breakfast was included and was very nice and varied. We didn't have a meal there so cannot say anything about that. I found I could hear the conversations going on in the other room, which is not so nice. That is the only thing I found a pity. We have no complaints.
The people were very kind and very helpful. The windows do not open properly.
the location the noise coming from the road
Very good hotel based in quiet place. Good restaurant. Free parking and free internet. Good place to saty on the wau to Amsterdam
the swimming pool. Easy access room on ground floor. Friendly staff. Near to quaint little town of Delden. Mosquitos in the room disturbed the little sleep we had. We had to close the window on a very hot night which was uncomfortable. You will find 'splats' of blood on the ceiling & walls where we tried to eradicate them! A staff member brought us a sliced lemon to rub on our skin to try & protect againt the bites!
staff very friendly and welcoming, food was good and the room was clean, comfortable and quite spacious. No language difficulties as most staff spoke English.
Hotel staff was very friendly. I got something to eat also out of the catering time (kitchen was regulary closed)
good location very nice countryside some of the older staff were not overly friendly
The staff were genuinely warm, friendly & helpful - sometimes going out of their way to assist. The room & facilities were clean and fully operational. The food was value for money, tasty & down to Earth (not for the pretentious). It was further from the city center of Enschede than I thought (which is where I needed/wanted to be each day) but if u have a car its no big deal because its a nice drive there.
the staff at reception and in the restaurant are very nice there was a bad smell in the carpet of my second room, the door of my first room didn't close or lock well
Nice clean hotel. No claims:)) No
We are for the second time in this hotel. Very comfortable if you travel by car
Staff were extremely helpful. Kitchen staff were a bit slow, maybe used to the trucker crowd since this is a truckstop motel. Also staff gave room key to new people before I was out of my room, which caused them to walk in on me changing.
very friendly staff decor still from 80ies, reminded us of a trucker hotel, very clean though
Good and friendly personal
Htel Frans Op Den Bult was a great 3 day stay for us in Holland. We had a double room which was clean and nice. We ate at the restaurant while there and it is also excellent.
