The staff in Reflections Resturant were exceptional, balancing friendliness with professionalism, nothing was too much trouble and as it was my birthday they brought complementary drinks from the bar at the end of the meal. The following day they allowed me to re-order the soup to eat in the bar - food was of a very high standard. Nothing
We were upgraded to a pitch view room at no extra charge. The staff were very warm & friendly. The hotel was of a very high standard.
The bed was comfortable The Leaking windows and noisy music in the lobby
fantastic location, we were there for a football match and to wake up overlooking the pitch was amazing we had two rooms and my husband asked for a 6am wake up call which he didn't receive, luckily we had set our alarm so we didn't miss anything
The welcome from Reception staff and the helpfulness of the porter in assisting me with my bags, both on arrival and departure. Everything was fine.
Modern look hotel, standard rooms are a bit larger and better than the norm. Breakfast buffet all pre-cooked, as usual the scrambled eggs are like rubber otherwise the rest was OK, a bit limited choice of cereals and fruit etc.
Large rooms Noises coming from the hall way
We were attending a corporate event at the Reebok stadium , so was very handy for that event . Bathroom floor was quite tired and needed to be looked at.
the ambience, ease of parking, politeness of the staff, all the staff being local was really good. The design is excellent, I would recommend the hotel and stay there again. As a single women I felt safe which is very important to me. Breakfast food was really good but no one came to my table to offer me tea or coffe and I had to ask, when I walked in the restaurant there was no one to sit me as there were no staff around just at that point. This was only a very minor thing and not worth mentioning really.
Location, spa, gym, tea shop and other shops No choice concerning price for breakfast
Layout and general ambience of the hotel was good and very user friendly In the current market place I think you should think about a bedroom refurb - getting a bit dtaed now
Good service in restuarant
The location - great views. The interesting layout of the Village, and the way the buildings have been created around the original farm buildings is unique The bar was dull and the drinks expensive. The restaurant dinner was very ordinary and the waitress didn't know what the dishes were when asked. The breakfast was excellent
Breakfast Small swimming pool, not really any good if you want a decent amount of exerciese. They seemed to be havign putting payments through.
Hotel was clean, food was tasty and nourishing and in a good location. For a room priced at £72 per night without breakfast included, I considered the price quite steep. There was also a hum, possibly from a generator, in the room and it was difficult to get sleep with it. The hotel provided earplugs but they didn't keep out the noise. Also for this time of year, there were no extra blankets provided and the deposit safe message kept reading "batt" when I tried to use it. I reckon that it needed a new battery. Would not be inclined to stay there again.
Very friendly staff, excellent breakfasts, excellent liaison with a taxi firm and good accommodation We had to wait 45 minutes for food we ordered in the bar- it was only a salad each and there were no other customers. It was not the barman's fault- it was the chef.
Having a sauna was fantastic as well as a pool a real treat and nice surprise as we didn't realise it had one Finding out on arrival we had twin beds instead of a double bed was disappointing
it was too noisy
Staff very friendly and helpful. Got checked in early which was a great help Parking was tight but ok ! Small gripe really !
Location and excellent staff
Comfortable Hotel very handy for shopping and accessing the Bolton Town Centre. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The price of breakfast is too high.
Cleanliness of the room / ensuite and the attitude of the staff Spa Facilities- Having gone down at 6:30 in the morning, found the facilities uncleaned from the previous evening.
Facilities in the room to allow me to work I think your wireless broadband provider, Swisscom, is expensive and doesn't offer partnerships with any other UK providers. I therefore end up paying twice for wireless Broadband. I would therefore not voluntarily choose a Holiday Inn hotel again
Because my stay was purely business and on a budget I was happy with the short time I spent at the hotel. Not somewhere I would take my wife for a romantic weekend. Good access to Bolton town centre and ample parking. Being made to pay on arrival, highly unusual and I felt I was being treated with suspicion. Its normal in most hotels to pay upon check-out. Room was adequate, bathroom a bit grubby.
Quiet location, plenty parking spaces, good rates. basic tv
No lift. Breakfast was a letdown, it would be better freshly cooked on demand Plus I was not amused at being followed and asked to sign whilst picking my food from the buffet!
we liked the Hotel very much it was good value for money because of travel groups ,we found we coudnt find a place to sit in the lounge and bar area when we got back to Hotel around 8pm /9pm ,so had to go up to room instead of relaxingin the bar with a glass of wine .
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great and certainly a full English one.Great choice of everything on a self service basis.
the room was a nice size and very comfortable, the location is good there was a slight mix up with rooms at first, but it got sorted
Ease of access from the motorway and ease of access into Bolton; good menu in Bar. Television and radio services in room. Poor number of tv channels, 'old style' tv, and very poor reception of Radio 4! Very weak and noisy. Also no reception of Radio 5, although the logo was on screen, but 'drifting about' ie. unlocked. I had mentioned these faults when I stayed at this hotel a year or so previously, in a different room.
Quiet location.Close to city centre. Continental buffet breakfast should be included in price.
tranquillity cleanliness in the bathroom
Good points were very pleasant hotel with excellent facilities
The restaurant was awful. We waited 1.75 hours to get food, even though there were only a few people in the restaurant. I ordered Lancashire hotpot and got a few pieces of boiled broccoli with a small fried steak and 3 tiny thin strips of potato on top. This was not a hotpot of any kind. It was awful and we decided not even to attempt breakfast the next morning. All the guests in the restaurant were comparing notes and complaining.
Everything was at hand with great immaculate leisure facilities.Lift was great
Excellent facilities for disabled people. Lack of staff, we had to wait for 1hour 15minutes for a drink and when we ordered food we had to wait 1hour 10minutes for it to be served and it came only after we complained. Some other diners sent their food back ,two other guests told us not to stay as the service was appalling. I had to go to reception to ask for a barman to serve us after dinner coffee and we had to wait almost 25 minutes. Not acceptable and we did make a formal complaint.
Modern room, flat screen TV, nice carpetting. Cold, too modern reception area, large uninspiring cold empty feel to the `restaraunt`. Food was very poor. No atmosphere at all.
Location rather souless. A bit like motorway services, you would not want to go outside the hotel for a walk.
only had to stay one night, thank goodness. complaint on site had no effect, are you interested or not??????? bad drains and cold breakfast???? the bleach I was given by housekeeping had no effect, luckily I did not get any on my clothes!
very friendly staff, nice modern room, great rates. peoples food tray left for most of the day and night at there bedroom doors.
It was value for money with the rooms and staff excellent a good location with sports facilities very close by. On arrival at 17:00hrs the breakfast tray from the previous guest was still outside the room.
Exceptionally clean and cracking value for money. Not easy to walk to.
Gym, Carvery. Advertised Large Screen Sports not working in bar. Man U V Chelsea!!!
Big Room Was very noisy ( a stag do were staying the ame night as us) - would not for this reason use this hotel again
I enjoyed my stay because I was with a gorgeous man Update the beds and the blankets to duvets
ease of access. cleanliness
Friendly, helpful staff - as usual. Room was very clean. We were supplied towels, but the room lacked soap/shampoo which had to be requested. The remote control for the tv didn't work, the remote itself was faulty, which got replaced. Also, one of the lights in the room was not working which we thought was a faulty bulb but after having the bulb replaced it transpired that the light itself is faulty.
the fact that we were staying in a hotel where family and friends were the attitude and inexperience of the people on reception
the hotel is looking tired and needs to come into the 21st century, the rooms are a bit tatty and you feel like you have gone back to the 1990s when i booked in i was given my room , i opend the door to find that the room was already occupied, i told the reception staff and they appoilgised and gave me another romm, the room was overlooking a roundabout on the east lancashire road, so the traffic noise was unaccepable, i was given a upgrade to a suite, to call a room with 2 duble beds in a suite is a bit of a joke , within 2 mins of entering my suite i could hear the noise of crying children from the roon next door, this was my third room so i put up wth it , as children go to bed quite early , but i forgot that they wake early to, the next day i was like a zombie.
Hotel is convenient, friendly and the restaurant offers good quality and value for money. Hotel is getting a bit worn. Rooms are always too hot and controls knobs on radiators are missing. Should offer a better bed and breakfast deal at weekends
pub, breakfast, large room person at front desk did not have much of a service oriented or helpful attitude.
Price No internet or WiFi connection in rooms
Very noisy. We were kept awake by the wedding singer from the function suite and the conversations of the bedroom next door.
I stayed while attending a course which was run at the hotel. I did not have the time to visit the local area.
Easy to get to Everything the food in th hotel was cold when I recieved it and took ages to arrive and it taken 20 minutes for a waiter to come over and greet us,then when the food arrived it wasnt cooked and my partner wasnt impressed by her awful food that much she had two mouthfulls and left the rest.i paid 70 for the meal and was not impressed it was cheap food with an expensive tag.also the staff were unapproachable and got the food orders and drink orders wrong also the bathroom looked as tho my child had cleaned it.
The room was shabby and the bathroom a disgrace in need of refurbishment. A party went on under our window until 3.30 in the morning. The restaurant staff were not on the ball at breakfast - there was no butter available at all and we had to ask for and wait for fruit to be prepared and bread to make taost to be put out.
Staff were very friendly and helpful Breakfast could have been better
It was 5 mins from the Reebok Stadium & Breakfast was very good Room was poor for £70.00 bathroom especially grubby and shower didn't work properly
Friendly and approachable bar staff we arrived late after avery busy day and they were excellent with their service standards. The bedroom was very basic
The staff were very helpful and the receptionist help me book a return minibus taxi to the event my group were attending. Thank you! The bar shut at midnight despite the area being full of customers. Our room was far too hot, it was over the health club and the corridors smelled of clorine. There was a dirty sheet outside the room door which remained there throughout our stay and there was no shower curtain!
Music disco went on 'till 1.05 am just below our room window, could not get to sleep. Complaint registered with reception, noted and will be offered room away from disco on next visit.
Clean, well appointed, good value. Rubbish shower.
As I only stayed one night I cannot say to much but what I will say is, the people looked after us well and helped us to find a florist as we were going to my sisters funeral. What I will say is a big thank you . nothing
Comfortable, quiet, friendly, wonderful full breakfast. The Proprietor was extremely helpful over our car accident which we had during the time we were there. Very much in the town, but we knew that beforehand, and it was fine for one night stay.
Good reception and willing help from new proprietors who might reasonably have been under some pressure, but were most kind.
Good breakfast It would be helpful to have some hooks or rails for towels and clothes in the shower room
Close to the centre where there was plenty of bars and eating places I had a basment room which was comfortable and warm only problem was it was under the kitchen/ dining room and you could hear the the floor creaking early as the y made the breakfasts
clean, comfortable and good quality breakfast
Comfortable rooms and nice and warm Non
warm and friendly owners, very nice room
Very friendly owners, lovely room,Great location There was nothing to dislike.
Straight forward I did not know how to work the shower and wasted half an hour trying to work it out and wasted time
Front of house staff ..jane and ishmael very helpful. Bedroom very comfortable and breakfast very good. No food available in house on arrival in the evening.
Very good customer service and cleanliness Nothing of note
Hotel and rooms well furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with friendly staff. My room and the boys room was cleaned to an excellent standard. Daughters room had a leak under the bath which meant they couldnt use the bathroom and had to use the bathroom in our room. but other than that was clean and well furnished. The booking was made in my name for all 3 rooms. My daughter had left a spare key for her room with us as we attended a party and having left early returned to the hotel and were looking after her 2 month old baby boy. When we returned to the hotel to collect babies bottle from the room the key had been wiped. Even though the room was booked in my name and I had paid for the room they wouldnt allow us to get the babies bottle and reactivate the key and left a 2 month old baby to scream.
Very friendly staff
Cleanliness, cost, location adjacent to Bolton Arena. Free parking adjacent to hotel Breakfast not included and was expensive and not good value for money. Breakfast served too late. Couldn't eat before going to Bolton Arena
Close to the area and family who I wanted to visit. With parking facilities and close to motorway.
I found the staff at reception very friendly and welcoming. I was only visiting relatives so did not use the restaurant for breakfast. I would have like to have had a glass of wine. I didnt want to go to a bar.
The breakfast was of good quality although the sausages were a little spicy. The room was clean and airy and although the hotel is near to the motorway if was quiet inside. The pillows: 1 was too soft but having 2 made it too hard
Easily accesible and close to the m61 motorway. Quiet rooms, excellent breakfast and very friendly attentive staff. None
Good location, easy access, free car parking, quiet rooms. Free internet wi-fi not available. even most basic hotels & B&Bs offer free internet. in last 4 weeks I have stayed at hotels in birmingham and manchester for £24.99 per night through activehotels.com, all had free internet.
