The cleanliness and newly-decorated feel; the helpfulness of the staff particularly during the flooding which affected the Lostwithiel area; the wi-fi coverage; the incorporation of several buildings giving a non-national-chain impression. The lack of any available outside seating during the winter season, which would be particularly useful for disabled/semi-disabled guests. The residents' lounge/bar wasn't really adequate.
rooms very clean and food very good
comfort and cleanliness
It was good value and located close to the Cornish coastline No dislikes but missed the bar not serving bar meals
Very comfortable and quiet room. Excellent car parking. Pleasant surroundings. bathroom was a little small and needed updating
We were made to feel welcome straight away, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was wonderful and the bed really comfortable, I wish we had the chance to stay a few more nights but our journey was ongoing. The breakfast the next morning was all we had anticipated from a proper cornish hotel
The great friendliness of all the staff, particularly as I was a solo traveller While the restuarant survice was excellent, the quality of the cooking of dinner was a bit disappointing
Beautiful setting Poor shower, sprayed everywhere!!
Staff very helpful and friendly Seating in public lounge not very comfortable, no television in public lounge
The cleanliness and attention to detail was unbeatable ,the staff were friendly and obliging giving the hotel a relaxed atmosphere. The food was overpriced and extremely poor quality. We ate at the Royal Talbot ,subsequently we will probably book five days in June there because of this.
Staff were all very friendly and accommodating and Meg went above and beyond. Room very quaint and very clean. Food excellent. No request was too much trouble. Meg even put the heating on just for us even though it was still warm enough for the locals and we would return in a heartbeat. Village amazing and castle is a must well worth the walk. Nothing
the view noise from rooms above and parking problems
Dinner menu expensive and not to our taste
Excellent Food and service staff, wonderful views. Parking, Only that we were not able to have a space, but unloading and loading was fine.
The rooms were of good size and the views over the river/harbour were spectacular. It was also in avery quiet location.
did not appreciate the request to leave a gratuity when paying final bill as a result left nothing
the sea view the price
Good food, comfortable bedroom and comfortable lounge Lack of car parking spaces and the Dartmoor Bitter running out on Sunday evening.
good attention to detail, nice staff, good food. Very good value.
good location, friendly and helpful staff, excellant room
Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Excellent Italian cuisine.Lovely mansion house.
The family suite we stayed in was well laid out and spacious. Thoughtful little touches such as the toys and Peter Rabbit mugs provided for the children's use were much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Marco made us feel most welcome.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful to us. The room was large, comfortable and quiet. Of particular note were the toys for our kids. My daughter said "this is the best hotel we've ever stayed". It was tough to find, but worth the effort!
A comfortable stay in a beautiful setting. This is more like very comfortable bed & breakfast accommodation as there are presently no lunch or evening meal facilities. The swimming pool is out of use.
First class period hotel ( 1868) all period features I un spolit countryside N/A
Yes, we very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The food was delicious, the staff polite and friendly, the room was clean and location convenient. I would very much recommend if you like luxury and excellent food.
We liked the atmosphere, the Italian food and the Hotel itself that had clearly a great deal of history attached to it. We particularly liked the informal conversatioons with staff.
An excellent central position in Cornwall close to most of the interesting sites. The house and the countryside around are fantastic. A dream. The inside is very elegant and the rooms are comfortable and beautiful. Every detail is perfect. And the owners are charming and welcoming. Really a great place to spend three/four days or more.
The bedroom and en-suite were very spacious and comfortable. The ability to walk thriugh the grounds was worth the effort. The restaurant waqs non functional due to staff problems and some effort should have been made to advance warn patrons of this situatiuon.
how friendly the staff are
The personalised service, excellent restaurant, appropriately price wines and a superb room
Felt very welcome at all times. Food and service first class. Lots of local produce used.
The room was very nice and cosy. The food is just excellent the wines offered as well. I felt that I was really taken care of. n/a
the privacy of my room, the friendliness of the staff, particularly the waitresses, the beautiful view from the breakfast room. I did not like the plastic sheeting on the bed or the soft cover underneath it. It is impossible to sleep comfortably like this. I removed them! Also would have been nice to have a better view of the countryside. I had a clear view of the car-park, but at least it was quiet.
The excellent attitude of the owner/manager in sorting out a problem that occurred.
the breakfast was good the room we had in the coach house was very small and the shower was not the best
Excellent room size, friendly staff, excellent food Beware of road noise, but only during the day, Night time quiet
Peace and quiet of the "cottage room" (in a converted cottage adjacent to main building). Breakfast and dinner in the dining room. The road was rather busy although traffic was much less at night.
Trehellas House is very conveniently located for touring Cornwall. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and our room as very comfortable.
