Pros: Cleanest place I have seen. David and Didier were really friendly super breaskfast.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We were made to feel very special. Didier who was able to communicate better in English went out of his way to make sure our stay was just perfect. Fantastic gardens also.
Cons: Just a small point. It was a very hot couple of days. The fan in our room in the roof space was a desk fan and the front switch did not work and had to be operated by plugging directly into the socket. A better free standing fan/cooler in the room would be ideal. Also we tried to get our son into the same accommodation but we could not the online booking web portal showed that this was full. Yet we were the only guests there at that time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: New hotel. Very well arranged. The owner was more than helpful! Will stay again next year for a longer period!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic. It was included in the price and was far better than we expected (including fresh eggs from the hens in the garden). The owners took care of our bicycles and put them in their garage.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I cannot praise this beautiful place enough. From the moment you arrive the location, garden, room and hosts are amazing. The view from the room is fantastic with manicured gardens and fields. The attention to detail is incredible with delicious marshmallows and a keep sake on our arrival. The hosts were so lovely, giving us tips and advice on the area. Breakfast, well what can I say. It was amazing, freshly produced pastries, freshly squeezed juice and conserves and produce from the garden. The French bread(eggy bread) was a real hit. As you can see we loved this place and cannot wait to return. Well done.

Pros: A stunning house with a warm welcome, fantastic breakfast, comfortable room and great location (Arras is a short drive away with plenty of restaurants, bars etc). Our host made a great effort to speak English which was appreciated, as our French is not very good :) One of the best places we've stayed on a weekend away. Would definitely recommend.
Cons: Nothing - it was fantastic!

Bedroom was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, bed very comfy. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again. Thank you Philippe!

Pros: Very peaceful place, beautiful setting. Owner was friendly and helpful. He made sure our gluten allergic daughter was well catered for
Cons: Nothing really, the only downside is it’s quite a drive from the nearest town so if you want dinner then you have to drive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Property is located in quiet countryside. Landlord is very kind, obviously with good taste in fitout and decorating. In the morning was served very good breakfast.
Cons: Entrance for car was a bit narrow but it was a small price that had to be paid for wonderful stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quiet location in a small village mid way between Albert and Amiens, an ideal base for visiting the Somme area - we stayed for three nights in July. The property was beautifully furnished, beds comfortable and breakfast superb - with delicious fruit, homemade jam and fresh bread and croissants each day, plus pancakes, cheeses and meat etc etc. Plenty of room to relax both inside and out, and breakfast was taken outside when warm enough. Would not hesitate to recommend or return again.
Cons: We had to drive for our evening meals, as no where locally to eat, but thought this would be the case before we booked anyway, so not really an issue.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A friendly host, a beautiful house and a comfortabel room combined with a delicious breakfast

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great host, great facilities, good quality bedding and towels with the added bonus of a private sauna! We loved this place.
Cons: Nothing we didn't like. Might consider a small fridge in the room for guests to chill a bottle of wine.... had we been staying more than 1 night we would probably have appreciated a glass of beer/wine in the room as the lovely facilities, including comfy seating in front of a fire would encourage that.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was superb. Hospitality was excellent. Owner took great care of us and gave us a lot of interesting information about the chateau and the region.
Cons: Entrance was a little difficult to find, but signage is likely controlled.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Not only a grand Chateau, this is also the home of the owner Veronique. For the same price as a featureless mid-range hotel, this congenial house is a a once-in-a-lifetime chance to soak up the history and atmosphere of the area. We had the two bed suite for four of us (two adults, two children) and their little minds were blown. It also a has a pool. I couldn’t think why you’d stay anywhere else.
Cons: Couldn’t criticise.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A fabulous authentic old chateau in an attractive part of the French countryside within close driving distance of Arras and other WW1 sites. Veronique, the owner, was outstanding in helping us when our rental car broke down and was able to negotiate a replacement for us.

Event facilities at this bed & breakfast consist of a conference center and a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are all a little different, but they were comfortable and all had large windows. There is a nice breeze most times, and the rustling of trees is lovely. The shower is nice and hot and the beds are comfortable. The owners are wonderful people who are welcoming and will extend every courtesy. This was a very relaxing, easy place to stay.
Cons: If you travel with heavy luggage -- as we did for a work trip -- an elevator will be sorely missed. The location is a bit far from some options, like food on Sundays. However, neither of these is the hotel's fault and a little advance planning will result in a very enjoyable stay!

Pros: Beautiful spot very relaxing great for fishing
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Although the restaurant was closed, the chef came in earlier and prepared a set meal for us to have after arrival

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful little hotel in a lovely setting
Cons: Owners very friendly, set by a lake very tranquil
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The lady hwo welcomed us and really runs the place was corteous and willing to accommodate our wishes at every point. The continental breakfast had everything (croisants, bread, coffee, tea, jiuce, cereals, ham, cheese). The room, the corridor and stairs, everything was in perfect order and extremely clean. The terrace with an overview of the pond and the surrounding trees and bushes was a perfect place to unwind after a long and hectic drive from the Netherlands through Belgium to "La Cascade".
Cons: The more or less improvised dinner that was offered was reasonable but could have been better, certainly if there would have been more time between our same day reservation and arrival.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The location, the food, the owners. The room was very clean with a view of the lakes. The food was wonderful. Breakfasts are continental, exceedingly fresh and with home made jams. There is a wonderful chef who makes fresh food with local produce.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quiet location on a nicely converted farm. Good value for money and a very friendly owner.
Cons: The only thing was that we had to go into Arras (10 mins by car) to eat as there is nothing in the village (not even a baker’s!)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful garden and lovely light breakfast
Cons: Having to check out
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and property well situated for access to Arras
Cons: Check in at 18.00hrs is a bit late. It is not immediately clear where to make contact when you arrive i.e., no bell at the entrance to No 25. In fact, there is an intercom at the entrance to what we subsequently found out is the gate to the car parking area but nothing there to indicate the gate belongs to L'Aubain.

Pros: Lovely property and a good location if travelling to and from Calais.
Cons: Eating breakfast in the main house felt a little uncomfortable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a fabulous find. A warm welcome from the owners despite our arriving early. We were shown to our beautiful room and explained a bit about the history of the house and given free reign to explore the grounds. We were offered an evening meal but declined due to travelling with my 2 autistic boys who had already planned where we were going. The next morning we had a sumptuous breakfast of pastries and breads with jams, cereals and juices with coffee, tea and chocolate. Before leaving we were given a guided tour of the grounds and buildings with a fuller history of the chateau. Our rooms were comfortable, warm and with a fridge, microwave, access to drinks and snacks. The bathroom was lovely and big with an excellent shower and included toiletries. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. Highly recommended
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Francois & Marie- Odile could not have been more attentive hosts. Lovely family in lovely property. Excellent value & good quality room
Cons: Longish drive for an evening meal - about 20 minutes but worth it when you get there.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very French experience driving in through the gates. Received a very warm and informative reception from Marie-Christine et Philippe. Off road parking. Good sized typical French rooms with lashings of hot water on first floor of converted farm buildings. Comfy beds and v quiet rural location. Amazing genuine hunting themed room next morning in main house for breakfast with local yoghurt etc. Saw the goats wandering in grounds beyond the terrace as the sun rose at. Walked out to visit the chickens and friendly donkeys through kitchen garden afterwards which would be a great start or end to a day/holiday if travelling with young kids. Lots of lovely touches, weather forecast chart, pictures, a very French atmospheric Grand House + all info leaflets etc. Wished we could stay longer. Ate La Poste in the village as recommended v modern v good value. Tres Bien Merci Beaucoup.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Helped make reservations for us in Arras due to our limited French. Breakfast was good. Stayed only for one night in order to see some of the sights in Vimy and Beaumont-Hamel, but liked the old farmhouse charm. Great for a family as it has separate rooms for privacy.

Abbaye de Belval - Troisvaux - Bedroom
14
8.2 Excellent (189 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Abbaye de Belval in Troisvaux, you'll be steps from Abbey of Belval. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. This hotel has 6 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.7 Good
Pros: The area and the outside look of the vast building were good. Typical French style breakfast was Ok. Peaceful and tranquil.
Cons: Lovely pictures of the Abbey on web site, but access was limited to us to the hotel reception lobby and the hotel room. we were unable to be given access to the grounds or the abbey buildings and cloisters. If you go there you need to chose a day when it is open to visitors. Rooms were spartan. Parking is mixed - web site says no, but there are spaces available around the building.
7.1 Good
Pros: The quiet peaceful location and serenity
Cons: Contrary to the description of the extensive grounds, when you stay there after the shop closes at 6pm you have no access to grounds, nowhere to sit or relax outside at all. The description of it being a hotel is false as it is a Monastery with rooms, nothing more. If you want total quiet and peace it is ideal but don't expect a hotel experience as you won't get it. There is no TV in the rooms, no tea or coffee making, and no replacement of very basic toiletries if you're staying for more than one night, no reception after 6pm, and very basic breakfast in a dormitory setting. I liked it as it suits me but be warned.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice staff, simple but clean room
Cons: In the building next to the hotel facility are refugees stated, we do'nt have problems with that but it is better to inform new customer about this.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is enormous and very imposing. The bedroom was obviously old fashioned by todays standard but a very comfortable bed in a gigantic room. Nice breakfast and the owners, who only spoke a little English were very helpful.
6.7 Good
Pros: Interesting couple (owners), impressive château with history. Big room with two canopied beds, spacious bathroom. Cleanliness was good.
Cons: Pricy for basic accommodation, ie little in the way of normal hospitable touches: no welcome toiletries, poor breakfast (10 euros each) although breakfast room was impressive. I felt that the price was only justified as a donation to the continued renovation of an historic building.
7.0 Good
Pros: It was very comfortable and an interesting building.
Cons: Break fast was very basic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We drove up around dusk and were greeted with the sweetest smiles and 'how was your trip'. It warmed my heart. The property is green with love...it is tactile. The whole experience was saturated in care and attention, with the balance of privacy. It couldn't have been better.
Cons: The only thing that I didn't like was that I couldn't stay longer!
4.6 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed, quiet location, warm room
Cons: No anti slip bathmat or safety handle for bath. Wi fi not in bedroom area. Breakfast average. No shampoo or shower gel products, hand soap only. No television or radio available. Cold house only rooms used heated.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Dreadful place
Cons: No restaurant, no bar, freezing cold and smelly
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owner, keen to show us around and make us feel comfortable. Beautiful and historic location. Quiet tranquility
Overview Reviews
Located in Mailly-Maillet, La ferme des p'tits loups is a 3-minute drive from Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial and 6 minutes from Ulster Memorial. Limited parking is available onsite.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good situation. Kind and friendly landlady.
Cons: The steps leading up to our floor were rather steep. Also we had requested a gluten-free breakfast but there was no GF bread available and we had to use our own. Seeing this is now available at large supermarkets like Leclerc, it's disappointing that the farm could not find any.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staffs was very friendly and considerate (they can speak both French and English). We have booked Superior Double Room for three people and we got private bathroom, living room with TV, kitchen & two rooms (1 single bed and 1 double bed). The room was clean and perfect, it definitely gave off homey feeling. For those who needs WiFi doesn't need to worry about it at all. They do have perfect WiFi connections even though I didn't use it there were full internet bars and don't forget to ask for the password since it's not provided in your room nor instructions of how to get it. The breakfast is very simple; 3 different kinds of jams, butter, eggs which you can bake them on this pan and french bread. They do also have coffee and tea for you to choose. Everything is self service and at the dinning hall are two long tables which you just have to take your own seats. The locations are very ideal for those who are looking for somewhere quite and wants to bicycle around (especially you want to visit the military graveyards of WOII and WOI. I definitely recommend visit Amines (known for Jeanne D'arc).
Cons: There was nothing I don't like about. The value of price and rooms were great! The only remarks will be that one of their sink's water pipe (in the kitchen) works but it's very loose that it came out. But that was no problem since it can be easily fixed and we didn't had any problem with it but I wanted to leave it as remarks since some people will definitely complain about it. The only I didn't like about was the fellow group guests who was being rude to the owners of the B&B (there was obvious signs of "no entry" but they just went inside without any hesitations. Those group of people even decided on when the breakfast is finished without asking other guests if they are done with their breakfast so they can turn off the heater of the pan. Of course, once in a while you will eventually meet rude customers who don't think about others.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location for WWI battlefields.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely and very friendly. The room was well appointed and had everything for my night's stay. A very good breakfast was provided. I was even able to buy a few bottles of cold beer for the evening!
Cons: It's a bit odd to pay cash at the venue but not really a problem. Good value for my stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Really sweet personal and a very nice place to stay for a couple of nights.
Cons: The beds could have been better, but it was not the biggest of problems
5.4 Okay
Pros: Geographical-fine. Cheap but at 50eu per night more choice at breakfast should be possible
Cons: Breakfast was very poor, no staff visible. Luke warm coffee, no cereal. no toast, no cheese, watery Orange juice. Only:- small fruit yoghurt, French bread sliced. Jam / marmalade but no butter. No sign of any staff. Fire bell clanging for at least 10 mins mid afternoon. Mold in shower. Bedding and pillows worn out. Sharing pot of coffee with everyone.

Pros: Good place for a one night stop while we as a family were travelling to Paris. Clean room for 4 people. Shared bathroom is not our thing. There were no towels. We had a fine breakfast. The owner was nice and supportive and spoke English. And overal it is cheap!
6.7 Good
Pros: We haven't tasted this good coffee since I left home! :) The kids got an extra treat for breakfast. Nutella. Good price for a nights sleepover.
Cons: It's confusing when you arrive, and there is no sign telling you that this is La Briqueterie. It looked more like a private farm, than a B&B. Noise, music and talking travelled through the rooms with great ease. Making it hard for our children to fall asleep. And "stressing" us parentes the next morning because of our childrens loud voices :)
7.5 Good
Pros: Ideal for one night.
Cons: No evening food.

Pros: Location was perfect for transfer. Parking available without any problem. Very good and tasty breakfast.
Cons: Common bathroom. Quite tide, but not perfect.

Pros: We love baguettes and butter with our coffee, and the orange juice was an extra treat. Our places were set at the table, and our coffee appeared the moment we sat down. Everything was fresh, tasty, and nourishing - we felt ready for a day walking around the WWI battle-fields.
Cons: It's hard to say, really. If you don't like farms you should probably find somewhere else to stay, but we loved the agricultural region with its hectares upon hectares of potatoes, barley and colza. A cattle operation has its own distinctive atmosphere, which some might find oppressive, but for us it was just one more note in a pastoral symphony! Delightful.

Pros: This place is the best bang for your buck when touring the Somme... I have stayed here before, and will stay here again...
Cons: No complaints...
5.8 Okay
Pros: The accommodation is extremely central for what we were looking for
Cons: The accommodation needs some TLC. The beds weren't that comfy and felt that the rooms and the shared bathroom facilities were needing a good clean. I was advised on my confirmation I only had £56 to pay however had to pay the full £125. This should have been advised by booking.com before I travelled.

Pros: Great value and excellent location. We tour the battlefields, and this was a nice, cosy, comfortable, neat little place, with everything we needed. Highly recommended, will stay here again. Thank you.
Cons: I don’t really know...I guess maybe we could have had eggs and bacon for breakfast...lol...
