Lovely place. Great, friendly staff. Feet away from the lake. Small room. (Think snug bedroom.) It still had more than most budget hotels. But it's small with an even smallet bathroom. Two people at most. Don't plan on spending much time in the room other than sleep. Still great though!
This is the closest hotel to the shores of Lake Michigan. Staff was very upbeat and welcoming. The hotel is dated-very 80ish!! Room was small and not particularly inviting. The view from our room (on the first floor) was basically the parking lot and fences between the beach and the hotel. A very minimal view of the beacg-very disappointing!
Beautiful rooms inclassic 50s/60s style. Double bed rooms are a full and a twin so sleeping four might be trouble unless you're really good friends (wink wink). Don't waste your money at a modern hotel. Go back in time to a place that is meticulously clean and scrumptiously quaint. The neon office sign has that classic hum. You can open windows for air or chill in the quiet AC. Just off the main road, traffic noise is kept to a minimum. Highly recommended. Worth every penny. I didn't like that I may have stayed somewhere else.
