Lovely country Auberge. The room was large with private terrace overlooking the garden. The food was excellent, served by efficient and friendly staff. In all a wonderful place to relax and recharge in peace and quiet
Friendly welcome, helpful staff, good food, comfortable room Location a little remote
Dinner in the restaurant was lovely. We had a garden view room with a balcony, and it was lovely. Staff were helpful.
Welcoming staff. Lots of waitresses to help. English spoken. Food not as good as before at dinner. But better at breakfast.
Very helpful staff, and an amazing hotel cat you have to see to believe!
Near to circuit Entertaining excessively fat hotel cat. Dont think it should be allowed in restaurant though. Room full of flies. Food abysmal and overpriced. Staff unfriendly and discourteous. Bar closed far to early. Every evening 15 plus residents waiting at closed bar. Very expensive.
Room, spacious and clean. Hotel Staff Friendly. Location very close to the race track.
room was quiet and cool, overlooking the court yard, unfortunately we did not eat at the hotel in the evening, ans so can not comment about the food. How ever the breakfast was excellent, and the only suggestion to improve would be to add hard boied eggs with the cold ham and cheese none
Charm old-fashion hotel
A warm friendly welcome on arrival. most enjoyable evening meal.
Extremely pleasant staff. A very spacious room with a very large, comfortable bed. An excellent evening meal, delicious food and attentive service. None that we were aware of.
The lay out
Everyone was very friendly and I would definitely recommend the hotel to our friends and family.
The location, the general relaxed ambiance of the hotel and the presentation of the garden and pool areas.
This is a really charming hotel with very helpful staff, our room was beautiful and real value. If you travel through Bourbon L'archambeau stay here. It's a really nice town and this hotel is right in the middle of the most scenic and historic part of it. Eat in the resturant of the hotel, the food was excellent.
Beautiful building, lovely gardens all of which were well looked after in a slightly "faded" way. breakfast expensive and not well organised.
second stay in this hotel. This time we did eat in the evening, and had the residents menu, which was excellent, although our choice of dishes was unfortunate, every one elses food looked nicer than ours. There were a couple of minor niggles about the room and I mentioned them as we checked out. The owner thanked me for telling him and made a note to fix them. I felt that he did "care"
Elegant and relaxant atmosphere.
Having a lounge to relax in. Food was very good. General quiet ambience. Lovely countryside to walk in
Service poor in restaurant
Fantastic, friendly staff and beautiful grounds surround the chateau. The chef is incredible and we enjoyed every meal.
We really enjoyed our dinner there.
Clean and comfortable hotel with very good restaurant Fairly expensive especially with the current exchange rate
Excellent overnight stay.
Staff were were very friendly and helpful! The weather was awful so impossible to judge the Hotel and it's facilties fairly!
The hotel is badly in need of modernizing. The Receptionist failed to advise us of the petrol shortage caused by the French workers strike. This was to cause us considerable difficulty later.
We had a really excellent dinner at the adjoining restaurant A little over priced for what it offers
Wonderful quiet location and good restaurant
Rural location, friendly welcome and excellent restaurant. Excessive cost of drinks.
Very good value hotel, nice pool. Very good restaurant but a bit pricey and not near any other restaurants.
Good location, clean room, room price is ok. Breakfast was a cup of coffee, a mini croissant (~2" long), a chocolatine (~1.5"), and some bread, for 12.90 Euros. That's insulting. Wine on evening 1 was 8.30 per glass, on evening 2 was 10.30. Gone up overnight, apparently. Shower head flopped about.
In the mid of downtown, a small village really few dozen metres from the National Route crossing the area; really silent, ideal if you want to have a jogging relax at sunrise before breakfast like me :-) Pretty expensive even considering it's not a new buiding and the rooms need a refresh.
