10.0 Excellent
Pros: This B & B is a converted Paper Mill set amongst lovely grounds in a quiet spot near to Poitiers. You are met by Julien (English, like our French fairly limited) who did his best to look after us. The room was quite spacious and well decorated with very good facilities and some quirky additions like the bedside "tables" which were interesting. Please be aware that the top floor rooms have only two third height access both into the room itself and the toilet because of the restrictions of the beams in the roof. If you suffer from bad backs then request a room on lower floors. Breakfast was served in typically French style in a ground floor room with a glass floor exposing the running water in the millstream below. We very much enjoyed our stay - Merci beaucoup Julien !
Cons: Nothing !
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Secure car park Comfy
Cons: Pop up plug in middle of the bath a crazy design balls up Low ceilings door ways

Pros: Location was beautiful, breakfast was excellent, the whole place was immaculate and Julien was brilliant. The property was traditional but modern and so tastefully decorated. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: outstanding location, excellent breakfast, super kind host, stylish environment, squeeky clean
5.8 Okay
Pros: The building is nice and very spacious. Beautiful interior.
Cons: The hotel owner doesn't speak a word of English, so communicating with him is difficult. Since we arrived very late, I asked beforehand via Booking if we can eat dinner at the establishment and he replied yes and for no further charges. We had dinner - he had cooked for us, without checking what we can and cannot eat (I am pregnant so the French cheeses or local meat charcuterie was not suitable for me, so I left half of my dinner untouched). Next day he charged us 42 euros for the dinner that we could not choose, could not argue with him since he didn't understand what we were saying and charged us an outstanding price for something that was previously not agreed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: River flows under the hotel and can be seen while having breakfast. Green surrounds. Welcoming host.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Attention to detail. Warm welcome
Cons: If you can find it, you’re love it. One downside is the noise from the above bedroom & if you are a light sleeper, this would be annoying

Pros: This is a lovely place to stay - the owners are a really nice couple, who cant do enough to make your stay very welcome, even down to making local phone calls to places we wanted to visit. A nice touch is the written stories of their trips on a round the world sailing trips
Cons: A wee bit tricky to find as it is off the main road, so make extra sure you have the full details of location...but its charm is its rural setting!

Cons: Nothing we did not like
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The property has been lovingly restored in a medieval fashion with lots of attention to detail making it a really unique place to stay . Our bedroom was beautiful, very comfortable and quiet. There is a living area above the bedroom with a basic kitchen (microwave), lots of books toys and games. It was nice to sit there with a glass of wine in the evening as it was too cold to sit in the garden in April. Our hostess was extremely kind and helpful and prepared breakfast using many local products.
Cons: We really loved our stay and the only small fault we could find was the delicious coffee at breakfast needed to be a bit hotter. Maybe a thermos jug would help to keep it hot.

Pros: Room
Cons: Would not let us use the pool because ee had no speedos!!!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location to access the futuroscope park. Hotel is nice and rooms are comfortable and clean.
Cons: 1.Swimming pool is underground with no external light. We went there in the afternoon during the summer and it would have been nice to see at least a bit of outside 2. I forgot an item at the hotel and wanted them to send it to me by post mail. it took me several calls back and forth with several people just or hear that I just have to wait for their email for instructions. Of course the email never came... so I dropped it. It casts a doubt on the level of organization...
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The quality of the food at the buffet was excellent.
Cons: Dining in the restaurant is a bit pricey- we spent €85 for a simple meal for 2 adults and 2 children.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location for Futuroscope, hotel is clean and rooms are modern, we only had breakfast food was good.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Renovated and very clean rooms.
Cons: Outside parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable hotel and well located for futuroscope. It is within walking distance but there is a complimentary shuttle bus. The Room and the bathroom were clean and fresh, with modern decor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a good night’s sleep. It was very quiet.
Cons: Nothing could have been better.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had clean, spacious interconnecting rooms. Breakfast was good and with enough variety. We did not use the pool or spa, but it looks good.
Cons: We arrived by train (with 3 kids and luggage...) and there was no bus connection to the hotel, nor a taxi stand... As it was evening the brigde to Futuroscope was closed, so you have to walk at least half an hour (count on 40 minutes with luggage) to get to the hotel... No hotel shuttle. For returning, the staff could not tell us whether there were busses available (it was a holiday, but not season) or if taxis for 5 persons would be possible... An information reception should be able to help you with in my opinion. The bus stop though is close to the hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: My son had his birthday and they prepared some sweets and personalized card. Thank you for that! We had complimentary water on a daily basis which was very appreciated!
Cons: Shuttle bus to Futuroscope

10.0 Excellent
Pros: very nice clean hotel, we like it ,
Cons: nothing,
4.3 Okay
Cons: Either campers or travellers at the back of the hotel were non pet friendly. There was no boundary fencing or any separation. They allowed a chained dog to yap all night keeping us all awake and the next morning screamed at and attempted to kick our very small and inoffensive dog that had accidentally strayed their way when we let her out on the hotel grounds for a morning pee. The hotel needs to take action against these campers/travellers if it wishes to gain better reviews. This is aside from other issues that we already had. I’ve two minds to demand a full refund.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good stop off point when travelling to the south of France from the north. Lovely continental breakfast (not included in the price) with lots of choice including little egg boiling bath and a hob with tiny frying pans.
Cons: The lights on the bed headboard are located in the most ludicrous areas; i.e. just above the pillows and there are also pointy studs dotted around it. The plug in fan is as noisy as a petrol lawnmower... however, you need it on as the room gets quite warm in summer.
6.3 Good
Pros: Close to the motorway
Cons: Appeared to be travellers around the back. They were making a lot of noise and dogs barking.

5.8 Okay
Pros: It is a pity that there were bed bugs in the room because otherwise it looked decent and the location is good for pilgrims walking Camino de Santiago.
Cons: Attention BED BUGS! After spending 15 minutes in a room we discovered and killed 2 bed bugs, which we subsequently showed to the lady at the reception. We decided to leave, even though the lady at the reception offered different room. We did not want to risk bringing those creatures home so we left. It is a pity because we paid 90 euros for an upgraded room in which we spent only 15 minutes.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice dinner in pleasant courtyard. Excellent breakfast. Great dog-walking 2 minutes from the hotel. Weather very hot but a fan was provided in the room.
Cons: The room was rather small even for a standard room. We were offered a larger room but for almost twice the price. Our room was at the front of the hotel and overlooked a road that gets very busy (and noisy) at peak times.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant is out of this world, worth staying here just for that
Cons: Rooms bit cramped
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We booked this hotel for an overnight stop en route to the ferry port at Ouistream. We were travelling via Motorcycles during the recent heatwave and arrived to a very friendly welcome. We booked secure parking in their garage, but free parking in the car park is also available. A lovely hotel, our room was clean, comfortable and in keeping with the style and age of hotel. Dinner was excellent, a real treat at the end of our holiday. Breakfast was buffet style with freshly baked pastries. We were very well looked after by Martine and her team.
Cons: The bathroom was very clean, but could do with an update. We had a wet room style and because the floor did not slope towards the waste outlet, this left standing water on the floor to wade through.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was perfect. Sat in beautifully kept rear garden with a glass of wine to relax after a long drive. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is cozy and well equipped. Breakfast is good (fresh products) although a bit expensive. Rooms are comfortable and the area is very quiet so we could rest peacefully. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: They charged 8€ for our little dog; nothing wrong with that, but they should have warned us about that extra charge. The breakfast was good but in my humble opinion it is a bit overpriced if compared to other places breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old Hotel, beautifully furnished with lots of interesting original pieces of furniture, the Hotel has been there for a long time and has a lot of history. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and we would definitely stay there again given the opportunity. We were able to park right outside the Hotel but there is a public car park really close if the Hotel car parking places are full. Would recommend booking a room at the back of the hotel as the road the hotel is on is quite busy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely old fashioned hotel renowned for its cuisine. Food prepared by a talented young chef who is the 5th generation of his family there. Excellent dinner - the gazpacho was particularly delicious.
Cons: My husband wanted to swap the cheese on the menu as he does not like goats cheese. He asked for alternative cheese from the chariot. This was fine but we were charged 15 euro for the privilege which we thought was excessive.
7.5 Good
Pros: A convenient hotel for my needs.
Cons: The room was VERY small. It was also very noisy due to being next to a busy road.
7.5 Good
Pros: Dinner expensive but breakfast very good

6.8 Good
Pros: The room was clean and beds are fine. Breakfast was ok, enough variety for us. Parking in front of hotel is nice and sufficiently available. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The rooms are very noisy. The bathroom was dated and very basic. The breakfast room itself is very basic. The diner room looked better but we did not use it. We stayed here for one night on our trip to Spain. Based on the photos online and the price I paid, I expected more.
6.8 Good
Pros: My room was Spacious and comfortable
Cons: The swimming pool setting and access. And for the price I was very disappointed in breakfast !

9.5 Excellent
Pros: We arrived 30 minutes after the restaurant had closed but we’re still served a 2 course meal. The owner was friendly and welcoming.
Cons: The breakfast was basic although the various home made jams etc were very good.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Rather friendly couple who runs the hotel, spoke proper English, especially considering it was in France. Even though we arrived half an hour after the restaurant closed down they opened up the kitchen for us, and got us a real nice entrecôte. Other than that they were really friendly towards the dog, where most hotels (even if they say they accept pets on the website) frown upon you when you arrive with a (big) dog, here they were very welcoming towards the dog and even got a nice bowl pf water for him. Furthermore it was a lovely old building with beautiful classical features which mostly showed in the restaurant and lobby/hotel-desk. Great place to stay for a night over while traveling, would recommend.
Cons: Can’t think of anything at the moment.
7.5 Good
Pros: Conveniently placed hotel for my onward travel plans.
Cons: I booked this hotel as it was in a convenient location and it had a restaurant and a bar. Unfortunately the restaurant and bar were closed all weekend. This was mentioned in the confirmation after I had booked but it was towards the end of page 3 of the confirmation and I failed to notice it. There is a snack bar near the hotel but it is not open on Sundays. There is nowhere else to eat. The hotel proprietor advised that I would have to go to either Angouleme or Poitiers for an evening meal. 45km each way to either town. The fact that the restaurant and bar were not open at the weekend should be mentioned in the hotel description on the Booking.com website.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Basic hotel but everything you need. Very clean and loved the people here. I will be back again, no doubt.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was all perfect; especially the hospitality of Richard and Anita. The whole experience exceeded our expectations
7.0 Good
Pros: The place was ok. I had an apartment. The Atmosphere was a bit more „hostel“. By that I mean lots of backpackers crowding the lobby to use the WiFi. The reception is not 24 hour so should you get locked out - you won’t get into your room. The breakfast was ok but a bit meager, and one coffee machine for lots of people might make for a wait. The air conditioning worked well in our apartment.
Cons: We traveled as a couple. The apartment had two twin beds which was quite unromantic. The carpets & furniture were old. There is no soap by the sink.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast , staff, clean, nice pool
Cons: Would have preferred restaurants a little nearer but was worth the walk
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved our little studio. Although small it was really well equipped and very comfortable. Great bathroom and lots of storage place. Lots of bars cafes shops and markets in walking distance. We wondered if it might be noisy at night because of the location but this wasn’t an issue at all. A great find and would definitely stay again. Best of all, dogs welcome!
