The location is great. We can have a deep visit in copenhagen by our feet. Considered the loacation, the price is cheap. Also, breakfast is good, my stomach satisfies. The room is so tiny, not small. We feel that we live in a ship or on a train. Everything is simple, suitable for travel bager.
Free internet Very hot in the rooms, unable to open windows wide
Near centre, good price for Copenhagen, good breakfast, hotel staff, rooms cleaned properly. Noise from other rooms, noice from street room was just on the street level (no chance to open windows, because of noise). Bathroom to small no basin in shower after shower water was everywhere in bathroom.
Bathroom toomuch small, difficult to have shower.
The location was great and the staff was very helpfull. We got a quadruple room, and the room was so small that if one of us wanted to move around between the minuscule "airplane style washroom" and the desk in front of it , the rest of us had to be on top of the bed and bedbunks. We had to leave next day to another hotel were we could actually fit. It is a good option for couples or just one person.
free internet service
for the value of money ok, for short stay ok ... still if looking for comfort big bath and room choose other location
It was simple but clean hotel, very near to metro station and just about 10 minutes walk from city center. Good choice to sleep at such expensive city as Copenhagen. Shower was not really comfortable, but ok for one-two nights stay.
only free wifi in lobby, not in room. Room is super small.
The location is very good it was walking distance to City centre and near public transport.
Good, efficient all round hotel, with a very good breakfast table Slightly out of town in a not very attractive part of the city. You should highlight that the hotel is in close proximity to the tube line from the airport
Really good family room! Clean and comfortable for all family members. Poor breakfast ex; no scrambled egg, bacon (hot dishes) etc., no marmelade, no hot milk, no toaster for the bread, only one yoghurt (flavored) etc etc.
The Avenue Hotel is a convienent location. Not too far from the city centre. Also close to the Metro. The hotel serves quite a good buffet breakfast .
All the reviews we read before we stayed at this hotel were correct and we did take the advice to ask for a room at the back of the hotel. We were very pleased with our stay in this comfortable hotel.
The atmosphere is really friendly, the staff are amazing,no corporate long faces or forced smiles, instead charming, helpful and creative thinking people. When we asked for an extension lead one was delivered within 3 minutes! How about that for service! Very eccentric shop has charm and adds to the unique quality. wednesday nights there is live music in the very comfortable lounge with its open fire!
nice room, friendly staff, great breakfast double duvet in room would have been better
This hotel has a very sweet ambiance. Indoor and outdoor hang-out area is pretty. It is a nice walk from downtown. Breakfast is good. The room is big enough. Internet connection should not be limited to just to computers. It is a problem for couples who each have a laptop and a smart-phone.
Very good Hotel with a nice staff. Room was clean and complete. A comfortable location to visit the city.
Lovely courtyard outside with wooded deck and an attractive foyer and lounge. Helpful and friendly staff. The carpet in the bedroom needed a good clean.
great place, excellent breakfast, helpfully staff, but avoid the snacks in the bar
Quick response from both janitor and cleaning personell after complaints. Standard of room is closer to hostel than 4* hotel as rated. Bathroom was not cleaned upon arrival, TV set with a flickering image and no remote. Broken lamp just hanging from the wall with pieces of it on the desk.
It had Sauna and Gym. Price didn't include breakfast.
I have to pay a deposit of 100 Euros in advance in case I would steel something from the room or I wouls make damages.
The staff were friendly. The room was small but clean. There was a good fitness room.
blond angel girl at the reception desk which helped me to find locations on the town map cleanliness of the shower, no shower gel, same sheets for 5 nights
nice rooms reciption was emty when we arrived at the hotel 01.00 and we had to wait 10 min to diliver some stuff to some of our other guests.
Comfortable hotel with excellent cuisine. Well-equipped spa. Easy access and parking.
The service and the room was actually the best thing. Everybody was nice to us and we had no problems what so ever. Not enough channels - also for the pay TV.
Convenient location, fine breakfast, quiet
Nice rooms. Clean and fresh. We stayed in a familyroom It was not possible to get any meal for the kids. The gourmetrestaurant offered just half size of their courses. We went out in the street and found a pastarestaurant
The reception was fine, the room was OK (we have had better rooms at the Marina Hotel in the past! No view on Oeresund). The bathroom is rather poor and in this case both toilet and washbasin did not evacuate properly.
Very friendly staff and relaxed common areas
Hotel is conveniently located for those who have business or holiday in the Copenhagen area and who have their own car. Breakfast was good. Hotel staff was providing service all right but without real interaction with the guests. Saying "goodbye" or something like that when someone leaves after a full week stay should not be too much trouble. Pillows were extremely soft and small.
The facility itself was nice, comfortable bed, decent room. I don't stay in hotels often but it was okay for the money This is not in Copenhagen. I had to take the regional train to get there, almost an hour away from the airport. I was carrying a large backpack and a smaller one due to traveling around Europe for almost 3 weeks before arriving and was treated rather abruptly by the woman behind the desk. I got the feeling I was looked down upon. Then in the morning when I was settling my room tab she made a point to explain the currency I was getting back...also in a belittling fashion. Not necessary at all.
Practical and well functioning hotel with a positive and friendly atmosphere. Spacious and light rooms.
The hotel is situated by the sea and has a "marin tuch". Located between Luisiana and Bakken. The rooms are not new and the hotel has a bit of the 70s left. The game room is not fun!
It has good location and connection through public transportation. Easy to get to from CPH airport and city When we arrived in the hotel, the booking.com reservation was not in their system. I had the confirmation printed out and hotel staff managed to arrange for a room even if hotel was fully booked, so thanks to them for that, but I wasn't very impressed with booking.com for that surprise. Hotel also has a mold problem. It was not in the rooms but as soon as you step in the front door, you know there is structural problems with the building.
definetely nothing besides the size of the rooms and the location for a visit to copenhagen paper basket was not emptied during 4 days, rooms poorely cleaned, unfriendly and ignorant staff, non motivated unfriendly and "dirty" cook at barbecue, no recommendation at all
The location was what I needed.
Lots of Mosqitous
It is near to my meeting place The hotel is very old and need to be renewed. There is bad smell all over the hotel. The bathroom is not very clean. The Wi-Fi network signal strength is very poor and it is missing in some rooms.
Very nice location near the castle, the park and the lake. Easy access to Copenhagen by car or train. Old style is good, but establishment need an upgrade.
nearness to gorgeous gardens the room was somehow narrow
Nothing I was given a room in a building opposite the hotel and not in the main buiklding. The room was small and not cleaned properly (dirt under the bed and mattress) The wifi connection was very weak
Nothing, room was old and small, television was broken, no wi-fi connection working!!!!! Nothing, room was old and small, television was broken, no wi-fi connection working!!!!!
The old and somewhat decadent building and its garden
I liked beautifule view to sea and nice historical location near Karen Blixen Musem. Most of the all I liked the price. Now in summer 2010 hotel is under renovation. That causes some uncomfortness if you are extremely demanding traveller. Normal adaptive person it should not be a major issue.
Good location-beach front, huge lot, 20-30 min. beach driving to Copenhagen, 20 min. beach driving to Helsingor & North Zealand area where has gorgeous castles and other tourist attractions. High speed internet, computer set in each room, very generous services on cold & beverages, copy machines and printers at several places. Free parking. Much potential after finishing renovation. Hot foods in breakfast. Good price for overall. Extened my staying to 4 nights. Long way to parking & to rooms. Needs check-in & out parking at least. Stairs shouldn't be in the ways for suitcase carriage. Not enough signs and no English sings. Building is classic, but on the contrary the most of furnitures are too light & contemporary.
The rooms were spacious and bed good, however this is an old university dorm room style - no elevators. Shower best pressure in any hotel I've ever stayed at. must know: Catch the train from the airport to Rungstegard Kryst about €20 - taxi will cost €100. From the train station walk 20m to traffic light and turn right, then walk 800m to traffic lights and turn right, hotel is 400m on the right. Staff were not there to meet me at 10pm and was pitch black with no instructions.
The facility is very pleasant and near north Zealand sites-Louisiana, Kronborg and Fredericksborg.are only minutes away. A very comprehensive Karen Blixen museum is next door. Excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms are quiet and attractively decorated. Not only do they provide wi-fi, but furnish the computer in the room. Very attractive courtyard. The facility is undergoing extensive remodeling and access may be cumersome. There is one elevator in one corner of the facility and its a long way to the opposite corner.
We enjoyed our stay at Rungstedgaard ... No
Relaxing, romantic and splendid food Their breakfast can be improved
Location is fantastic and the hotel is charming. Bathroom could have been cleaner.
I liked the personal touch of staff that make the stay very pleasant. The room we had was nice but there were a few repairs to be made (room 22) - for the room to be 100% updated. no
It was very near to my friend's appartment and we enjoyed eating in your restaurant In the early morning (approx 5:30pm) the refuse collection truck stopped outside my window and stayed with its loud engine running for about 20 minutes - this disturbed my sleep
The view to the seaside, the style of the hotel My wife missed a power socket for the hair dryer in the bathroom
Cosy small hotel with very friendly and service-minded personnel. Restaurant was excellent. Conveniently located next to bus-stop to Copenhagen center (approx 15 miinutes). Room was clean anf functional, but on the small side. Classic "dansk kro" with a touch of class.
The shower was asolutely excellent, the best I have had for years. The coffee was excellent too, I enjoyed the breakfast. No
Quite and comfortable rooms that provided a great nights sleep. Free wireless worked well in rooms and restaurant allowing me to stay connected with multiple devices (iPhone and iPad.) Nice to see outside Copenhagen and walk along the sea front.l Slightly overworked member of staff in the morning having to look after reception and restaurant which slowed down service. Limited menu choice at dinner - but food was excellent quality.
Very nice surroundings, very quiet. Low electrosmog levels: actually it seems to be one of the few hotels without a phone mast on the roof, or nearby. Great restaurant.
The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly
It is calm and clean, and good breakfast.
all the comforts and the fantastic service. not finding this place earlier in my holiday.
Nice environment, clean and comfortable Was waiting for someone in the reception for 15 min. No Personal to reach, not even at phone!
Staff were very friendly and efficient. I did not get full use of the hotel due to my late arrival and early start the next day.
Dinner; breakfast Nothing
Near where we go too.
Friendly, helpful staff Value for money Nothing
Wireless access to the internet The smell of the sour from in toilet
The room seemed to have been recently renovated and was quite nice. The breakfast buffet was quite good. The staff were polite, but obviously not very experienced, therefore the professionality of the service was not very high.
Nice location, free parking and wi-fi, very good breakfast and the kindness of the staff in general.
Built as quiet self-contained conference centre of moderate size. It has galleries and a library, many comfortable relaxing or reading spaces, plus bar. Very pleasant, spacious with nice rooms and good wifi. Friendly and interested staff. Good breakfast and lunch. First class restaurant, so not inexpensive.
Hotel Lobby design I liked it very much. Nothing else. I did not like the hotel as I think hotel was too costly compare to facilities and arrnagemnts. I stayed in the copenhagen city for 2 nights in a nice hotel with free continental breakfast but room rate was half of this with half of the rate of Lautuppark hotel.
Close from my business meeting Staff try to charge me at a higher price..as they did not check the price I got, so..take care
quiteness dirty in bathroom
Convenient for my purpose. Limited menu options. Slow bar and restuarant service.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Free WiFi. Has everything a business traveller needs. Too far from Copenhagen
Non-distruptive and friendly service. The bathroom was not in good shape, after a shower there was water in the floor, no curtains, etc.
Close to my customer
Wireless internet was pretty bad in the far away room at the end of the corridor. The bathrooms where so small that you literally have to bend over the toilet to brush you teeth above the sink. There is simply no room at all!
It was quiet. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. It was located close to where I was visiting on business. Restauarant was pricey given the type / quality of food.
The fresh fruit at breakfast The room was poorly ventilated, each time I returned, from a day of work I could smell sewage/ bad drains. The bathroom needed to be painted. There was nowhere to get a cup of coffee after 10 pm.
There is extra charge for using foreign credit card. For my two night stay, the original price is 2643 DKK, but it ends up to be 2708 DKK.
We choose the hotel because of its location near to where we were going.
Friendliness of the hotel staff. Hotel staff should verify the customer before passing them the room key (security reason).
Free parking quiet not far from railway Extra fee for using creditcard ---- very irritating !
Close to Embassy to get Visa
Quiet and perfectly location
xmmm, after booking a 4star hotel with a 5star restaurant, i didn't expect to stay in a 2,5star room but that was the case. Walking to your room on the ground floor through a corridor next to the kitchen certainly doesn't help your first impression -although the kichen staff was very friendly(ciao ragazzi). The room itself looks old and dark and there is a distinct smell of closed up air and humidity. The window doesn't open more than 5cm (safety reasons - ground floor) so there is no way you can get fresh air into the room - NO aircondition... Minibar didn't seem to have any ability of keeping things inside colder than the room temperature. Location of the hotel is a click (3 bus-stops to be exact) far away from city center.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean breakfast restaurant, not too crowded. Excellent location with very nice surroundings, walking distance to the seaside and and the idyllic Skovshoved village. Short distance to Dyrehaven forest and Bakken amusement park The "touch" of the hotel is in line with the general quality level of most older danish hotels, I.E. the building and the interiors ( especially rooms) need refurbishing. The (undiscounted) price level does not totally match with the quality level, when comparing with the new and modern hotels in the city. Hellerup Park Hotel seems to live a bit on its "old merits" and needs a total renovation of the rooms to be able to have success in the future. The lobby and reception have been renovated, but not the rooms. Location is good if you like the Hellerup area with surroundings, almost walking distance to Bellevue beach etc
Worked at a seminar; visited Copenhagen for some leisure Adding 2.5% because of use of credit card was like being mugged. No warning of this when I booked.
Very nice and helpful staff. Location of the hotel at the north of Copenhagen, very suitable for walking and cycling (bikes for rent at the hotel). Ten minutes walking from Hellerup train station which connects to the airport. The single rooms are quite small and are at the top floor (which can be hot in the summer). Breakfast is expensive for what it offers.
Large, comfortable and very cosy room. Our room was accessible from a patio, very nice and quiet. Location is a bit off centre but great if you would like to see some Danish countryside and only about 40 min drive to Copenhagen. Breakfast was very good. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely go back for a quiet weekend! Breakfast served only until 9 am. 100 dkk for the dog is a bit expensive.
Very friendly staff, very helpful - great food
a very easy-going pleasant visit; we really liked the quiet village setting and eating a nice breakfast outside looking at the church cars going along the side road are close to people eating; some screening (e.g. a hedge) would be nicer.
Nice restaurant and breakfast buffet, free wifi Small and noisy room on the road side, shower directly in the bathroom (no separation on the floor)
The breakfast offered a very good selection in a nice atmosphere, and the hotel staff was quite nice and helpful. The hotel building is quite old, so the rooms had a bit of a strange odor--not bad, just noticeable.
Great location and views rooms on the small side
The breakfast is good and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. It''s accessible by bus and train.
Nice business hotel
Close to DTU, very nice and calm inside and outside .. which was perfect as I had to work and prepare lectures at DTU ..
Good breakfast food quality and service small room
it as convennient to the location i wanted to go to that night. was nothing fancy but this is did know beforehand.
Simple hotel with comfortable room, good food and free internet The doors open out and several people nearly hit me coming out of their rooms.
Well located, renovated rooms
Terrible bath room . Noise of renovation making by workers at 7 AM
The room comfort Limited choice of alternative reaturant, limited working time of the restaurant on Suday evening (9pm)
The waiter serving me my dinner had a personal hygeine issue - basically he needed to use deodiderant.
the whole environment, the restaurant, the pizzeria in the neighborhood, the easy access to the railway station, the kindness of the staff and so on I liked my stay in Gentofte Hotel the TV set, a newer one is needed in the new rooms
Service exceptionally professional and personal. As a guest you feel like home.
Limited menu, limited staff.
Good restaurant. Suited me personally location wise. very nice breakfast.
excellent service, very nice and comfortable room. Very good dining and breakfast and good location to Copenhagen city center at a reasonable price.
I have a good time in this hotel. It is really a good choice for travelling in Copenhagen.
Good location; situated directly above two floors of shopping centre and hotel's parking floor, but the hotel itself is very quiet. Pleasant views from the hotel room windows. The balconies of the rooms are all connected like a corridor (might be good for a quick exit if there's a fire), so felt there was no privacy/security.
Front Desk staff were rude. First night when we arrived we asked for a luggage cart. The Front Desk Clerk gives us one that is broken. On top of that the elevator did not work with the key. Had to ride up to the front desk and switch elevators. Front Desk Clerk was more busy watching a movie than helping out. The next day we needed a luggage cart again. This Front Desk Clerk had the most outrageous response. She went to check in the closet for one. There was none. She came back and said "well there are none." I told her I had a lot of things to take down to the car so what would she recommend. Her response. Well you will just have to make many trips. Wow. That is all I can say to such a response. A most uncaring staff.
A very good hotel considering value for money.
the location of hotel is great as it is located at the center of lyngby. few choices of TV channels
Close to public transport (effective in Copenhagen) and close to major roads as well. Quiet. Breakfast was good. the sink was almost completely blocked (room 721) and nobody came to fix it during our 4 days long stay despite I advised the desk.
Good breakfast, smart personel by reception, free parking in the basement, wi-fi internet inside of the rooms
excellent staff, quiet room, clean very difficult to find entrance ... perhaps more signs needed
Service and breakfast
The surroundings and castle (main building) are quite nice. Internet access was good. The location suited us as we needed to drive north and thus avoided the traffic. Whilst the main building has character, the accommodation is relatively simple. The location is far away from anything. Dinner (where you have no options either in location or menu) was completely overpriced. At breakfast the bacon/sausages were cold. The guest car park (you can't park in front of the castle) is in "forest", it was raining and the ground was muddy - useless with luggage and leather shoes.
i liked the calm atmosphere, tours in the park, the way the castle looked. old, but well maintained no
The old building and its park environs. Breakfast. Other food when it was available. Staff was helpful in the circumstances; like 2-4pm checkin! Danish guests have liked the opportunity to visit its traditional persona as a palace. Location means not practicable without a car. No proper restaurants to walk to. In the hotel, restaurant not open unless enough guests are there. No simple luggage rack, minimal wardrobe. Considering no possibility for even a snack, why no jug, glass, cup etc if one has to bring own food to the room or starve? Has been attention to the place, but without small things it's not user-friendly.
the receptionist lent me half a kronor
10 minutes walk from tivoli garden and city hall. Free Wifi. Very small room , don't expect to stay in your room unless for sleepin only. Staff was pretty rude, we asked questions how worked parking in Copenhagen and the only answer we got that we could the hotel parking (not free off course). Bed was a bit too small it you're tall and pillow were awful.
The free of charge internet The quality of the rooms
breakfest is very good free wireless also in the room with good signal
The public PC in the lobby of the hotel. The breakfast was not served in the hotel, it would be better if it was served there.
Free Wifi The room is tiny.(My garden shed is bigger than this) we had to move the chair outside just to be able to move. You have to stay on your bed if someboby needs to move. The toilet is in the shower and the seat gets all wet when the shower is on. The reception staff are rude, it was a big inconvinance for them to check us in.(the middle eastern guy)
nothing ! aldo we were led to believe it was a double room booking in the internet, when we arrived it was a small room with a bed left and right.
We liked best the clean rooms, good parking conditions (the hotel has parking possibility next to the hotel) and the hotel is very central in town. The breakfast we have booked was good.
ratio price/quality none
hotel was fine... very cold at night because they turn off the heat. computer was closed at 11 pm..that was not good..other wise the place was fine...
