Pros: The property was newly renovated, and managed to feel both luxurious and comfortable. My room was large, with a small kitchenette built in. It had its own balcony with a view of the harbour. The host was very informative and welcoming. I had picked this for some layover days and my stay could not have been better.
Pros: Rooms are sunny, well decorated and confortable. Owners have been very helpful.

Pros: This is a cosy hotel. Not one of these big hotel centers. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Pros: This is a lovely little jewel of the hotel. Many special touches.
Cons: Our room was so tiny we couldn’t put our suitcases anywhere and walk around. It was clearly the wrong room for 2 people traveling with large suitcases for a 2 week sojourn. Probably a good room, albeit small, for a weekend guest.
Pros: The breakfast was the best we had during our 2 week stay in Europe. The hotel is quaint, each room differently decorated. Free parking right next to the hotel. There is a nice trail behind the hotel that takes you over a big rock and along the seashore.
Cons: The room (and bathroom) is very small. No ocean view from the rooms.
Pros: The atmosphere and the breakfast and the seaview.
Cons: The bathroom was not comfortable especially the shower.
Pros: I really liked the atmosphere
Pros: Charming place close to the sea, with a conservatory-style restaurant.
Pros: Location....and take advantage of the adjacent pink granite nature preserve....spectacular. Room 20 on the top floor has a great deck, which we would have spent hours enjoying if rain had not dominated our stay.
Cons: An in-room safe would be helpful.
Cons: The room is small and sleeping as a couple in a twin bed is a good test for your relation ;-)
Pros: Really friendly staff, huge buffet for breakfast and excellent. Restaurant of hotel is very good with local food and recipe.

Pros: Fantastic location on coast. Modern facilities, catering as much to the conference trade as to leisure travellers. Fine dining restaurant as well as bar food. A lot of rooms are in a building behind main complex. A lot of steps up (but worth it to get the view over the sea)
Cons: Hardly anything to dislike. But restaurant has limited menu, changed weekly (eg there were three main dishes, two of them fish).
Pros: Amazing location and very charming
Cons: Top floor of building 5 with 2.5 year old. A lot of steps for a little one
Pros: What a nice hotel in a beautiful and peaceful village! The Spa is fantastic, just nearby the sea. Hotel consigliatissimo!
Pros: The buildings and the location was beautiful. Food was lovely. Nice staff in the restaurant.
Cons: One of the girls in the reception was neither nice nor polite when we told about people drinking too much alcohol in the SPA and that they had thrown corks and other rubbish into the tube. Me and my daughter expected an apology rather than being told that they had booked the facilities and obviously could behave as they pleased. We were also disappointed that we had to pay a lot extra just to enter the SPA-area. We travel a lot and are not used to that.
Pros: Beautiful location. Staff friendly, professional and attentive. Accommodation very good.
Pros: Location on the water is absolutely stunning. Resort is next to a beach, walking trails and ferry stop and has its own dock for small boats. Unfussy and beautifully-designed public areas such as library, decks, terraces, bar and restaurant. Top on the list of our stay was soaking in the hot tub (reserved for additional fee) where we relaxed, chatted with friendly fellow hotel guests, took in gorgeous views and occasionally dipped in the ocean between soaks. Along with 100 other guests and locals, we also enjoyed participating in jympa, communal Swedish exercises, held on the deck next to the water.
Cons: The guest rooms and bathrooms are small. Communal spaces are punctually locked up between 10:00 pm and 7:30 am so if you stay up late or get up early, there’s no where indoor to go other than your small room. Restaurant/bar hours are 11:00 pm-7:30 am.
Cons: The room was a bit too small. The ventilation in the bathroom did not work properly which caused bad smell if we luft the door closes. The smell Cameron from the gytter by the shower. We reported it to the clearing straff but no action.
Pros: Everything was fantastic, especially the hotel's situation.

Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-out, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It easy to locate from Gothenburg
Cons: Accepting both Dollars,Euro and Pound Sterling
Pros: Very friendly staff! No problem to change room when we said that first room offered was difficult for supervising a two year old with its stone floors, and stone edges below the bunk beds.
Cons: It became only clear to me that this was a hostel (vandrarhem) when I read in the confirmation email that sheets/towels were extra. Check in/check out times are inconvenient. Price was high for off season considering that no sheets/towels or breakfast is included.
Pros: Perfect location, very clean and bright room..
Pros: Lovely old hotel.
Pros: Location, location! And the staff—young and generally eager to please. There are two properties owned and operated by the same operation and they are VERY DIFFERENT in their rooms and amenities. So be sure that you sign up for the one you want. The names of the two sites are very similar too. We stayed in the period hotel with fine dining 9 years ago. We thought we were booking there again in 2019 including dinner reservations. We ended up in their hostel/hotel a number of blocks away but with the dinners at the place we intended to be. Imagine that!
Cons: The rooms in the hostel/ hotel very very spare and quite small. You pay extra to have towels and the very small bathroom comes will no amenities other than soap and tp. The bedroom is hard to move around it with one chair and no table a hanger or two to hang clothes in a wardrobe. We could go on. We were staying there 2 nights. Perhaps good for families with children. Don’t know what the hostel provided for them. This was not inexpensive either. In our case it was not what we expected nor ready for.
Pros: Very nice location. Great atmosphere of classic Swedish design. It feels like hotel rather than hostel.
Cons: We had to walk for breakfast to other building.
Pros: It was in a very nice location close to the sea and the nature reserve. It has a kitchen guests can use which is handy and breakfast was good. Staff were very pleasant and facilities were clean.
Cons: The main issue was the room was so small. I booked a room for 3 adults and it was described as having a double plus a bunk - however the “bunk” was actually a flip down bed suspended on the wall directly above the head end of the (small) double. It would have been fine for a child but I doubted it would safely take the weight of an adult so we resorted to moving the mattress to the floor which meant there was almost no floor space. Ok for one night but I was glad it wasn’t a longer stay. So advice to future travellers is check exactly what facilities you’re getting! I also felt it was inappropriate for a hotel to expect guests to make their own beds up. Not the end of the world but it was advertised as a hotel not a hostel and it certainly wasn’t hostel prices!
Pros: Very friendly personnel, easy atmosphere, very clean, free coffee and tea
Cons: The mattress was very soft
Pros: Fantastic view and lovely oldfashioned rooms! We were very surprised this being a hostel.
Grand Hotel Lysekil is centrally located in Lysekil, a 3-minute walk from Lysekils Church and 8 minutes by foot from Havets hus Aquarium. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
Pros: Breakfast was very good!
Cons: The room was a bit too simple for the price. It felt more like a room in a hostel than a hotel.
Pros: Location and the heritage of the house that could be felt. Breakfast was good as well. The restaurants nearby were excellent.
Cons: Not everything got refilled by the room service.
Pros: Old style but comfortable hotel right in the centre. Friendly welcome and personalized attention. Quaint room, but excellent bed. Beautiful view of the sea and the market square. The breakfast is excellent and not mainstream. Will certainly stay again.
Cons: The restaurants were all closed because of the end of the summer. It was a bit bleak as a result. There is no elevator, though that is not important for me, it should be noted.
Pros: The central location & the staff were major plus points. The breakfast choice was reasonable. A historic hotel which has been in Lysekil for over a hundred years.
Cons: I did feel that the room price was excessive in relation to the quality of the room.It seemed as if the wallpaper in the bedroom hadn,t been finished to a professional standard.I,m not sure if the hotel is going through a transformation but there was no stair carpet leading up to the rooms.
Pros: Fine breakfast.
Cons: Better possibilities to part the car. Too small beds. The reception staff could be more professional.
Pros: Bath room smelled the sewer since it is an old property. Bed was too soft.
Cons: Soft or extra soft bed.
Pros: very bad the quality
Cons: they suppose to clean the room .I come back at two oclock noon from gotheburg and it was a mess. they knock my door and i said later . then they never interested for cleaning since the next day where i left home . i fount the whole think un profesional. and the cleaner and the woman infront of the desk
Pros: Location/ Old fashioned style
Cons: Bed was to soft / worn No white bread at Breakfast
Hotel Lysekil is in the heart of Lysekil, within a 5-minute walk of Lysekil Södra Port and Lysekils Church. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Hotel Lysekil is located about 200m from the bus stop that connects to Gothenburg which is ideal if using public transport.I had a single room with sea views & the room was of a reasonable size.I was very happy with the buffet breakfast which had a good variety of options. It was served in a beautiful room at the front of the hotel with panoramic sea views across to Fiskebakskil. There is a decent restaurant attached to the hotel. The pizza,s were very nice!As the hotel is centrally located it,s easy to get around Lysekil on foot. The hotel staff were welcoming & helpful.
Cons: The shower room was a little on the small side but no real problem. Lysekil is a lively resort in summertime so there can be quite a bit of external noise in the streets outside into the early hours on some nights.
Pros: The staff was excelent. Always helpful and smiling!
