10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was stunning and clean. We loved how you can pick anything straight from the garden and eat it. The breakfast was perfect, lots of choices and was so fresh! The children had a wonderful time picking fruit from the trees, bike riding and swimming in the beautiful pool that had the most incredible views of the surrounding landscape. The staff couldn't be lovelier; they are so sweet and warm and were very attentive. We especially loved having Shiku that cat around as well as all the other animals on site. We can't wait to be back to visit and wish we had stayed at least 3 or 4 days. The in town restaurants were excellent, lots of fresh fish and incredibly affordable. A trip to the waterfall is a must! We highly recommend this establishment.

Pros: Dream come true. A very quiet place, surrounded by forest with only 3 rooms. Amazing property, house, pool, breakfast and staff. I booked another stay while still checked in, thats how much I enjoyed the stay...

Pros: Lovely service by the three women in charge, a fantastic breakfast, calm atmosphere and a very personal touch to everything. The house is in fantastic shape, clean and comfortable. It is situated on a gigantic plot of land, terraced on a hill-slope and you can wonder around everywhere. Nice pool, a self-servicer bar, a children's playground and a sports field. Wonderful!
Cons: The house is a bit of a distance to the next town, so to go out to eat you always have to use the car. The price seems to be slightly on the high side (compared to other stays in Portugal). The furniture does not fit the minimal design of the house (it is very comfortable though).

The breakfast has an assortment of breads, typical cakes from the region, fruit, cereals, yoghurts, juices and hot beverages, all with an amazing view facing the river.
Cons: The shower in the bathroom as, due to its construction, the water gets out of the shower and wets the entire floor. Also, the water presure that comes out of the shower is not enough.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay and value for money
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is really nice. Right next to main street where the umbrellas are. Staff is nice and explains you everything that you want to know. It was quiet at this time of the year which I've appreciated. Reception hours are a bit odd (maybe they are more consistent in the summer). You can walk from the train station to the hostel with no problems.
Cons: Breakfast was really simple and ended up having breakfast at the cafe on the corner. Much nicer. With proper bread, a nice latte and some wonderful cakes.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, beautiful garden
Cons: Nothing to report
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, curtained partitioned bunks with own lights, comfortable bed/bedding/pillow, and cheery dining space. Staff was helpful. This hostel only had several guests, so we essentially had our own rooms. I was the only one in a ten bed mixed dorm room! Enjoyed that and appreciated this gesture.
Cons: The toilet areas are way too small. I’m a 5’4” woman and my knees hit the door when seated on the throne. I can’t imagine anyone any taller being comfortable. Showers are small, and hooks (over door or wall) as opposed to screwed in (which had been tried and apparently failed) would keep dry clothing protected along with towel and toiletry bag. There was only one drying rack outside, which worked well on this trip, but that wouldn’t do it for a full house!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Host is very nice and friendly. Spacious and very clean bedroom. Good breakfast - times can be changed according to your needs.
Cons: It was difficult to find it... once you know how to get there, it's very straightforward.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff was very welcoming. Great location.
Cons: There is a lot to talk about. I had no hot water and the windows had no blinds. I stayed at the lower floor and in the evening if I wanted to come out, I had to go upstairs, leave and the come down through other stairs. Not very safe in case of emergency!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The simpathy of the staff, the cleaness of the property and the quiet of the area where we stay.
Cons: I can not mention anything.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner was extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast was very nice with home-cooked brioche bread and freshly-squeezed orange juice.
Cons: N/A
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Owner is a very friendly person, helped with everything what we needed. It is a perfect way to make a short stop and enjoy the region! Happy to visit again.
Cons: Only thing is a bed is a bit hard. But this is individual thing.
7.1 Good
Pros: Owner very friendly and accommodating. Really enjoyed the country setting.
Cons: Bed uncomfortable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It has the bones of a really old house but I only saw that looking out at the centuries old staircase in the back. Otherwise it's fully modern, the pool seems great (but I didn't plunge), breakfast hadn't the variety of a hotel but the honesty of a home made Portuguese breakfast (including home made jellies) and hospitality was faultless.
