8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel-staff was incredibly friendly and helpful planning our days. Highlight: the included evening walk, where we saw rhinos and deers. Hoping to come back!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The host was very amenable, bus pick up and drop off went smoothly. The safari drive that was organised was marred by an over enthusiastic driver. When we mentioned this to the host he quickly informed the drivers employer and apologised to us despite it not being his responsibility. All of the staff were extremely helpful. Cold drinks were offered when we returned from a hot walk.
Cons: Nothing to say.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: From check in to check out the service at the hotel was incredible, Su Raj made the stay comfortable and easy and the staff all made us feel welcome. The hotel is comfortable, clean and in a great location 10-15 minutes walk to the town and park entrance, and you can book all your tours and transport there easily. The food was amazing also especially the 24 hour Nepalese power- Dhal Bhat!! We also got to see a Rhino walk past the hotel one day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We planned to stay for only 2 days but ended up for 2 extra days. The rooms were great but the staff was excellent! Everybody was so nice. They have a restaurant at the 2nd floor and they serve good food for cheap compared to all the restaurants. When you arrive you can do a free sunset walk, and the first day we saw 3 rhino’s during this walk! You can arrange your safari’s here for a fair price and they make sure you have experienced guides. The first Safari we did we already saw 6 rhino’s and many birds, crocodiles, gharials and deers!! That was the reason why we extended the stay and did another safari! I would highly recommend the stay at Hotel National Park!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The bathroom was uneven so after shower it was a giant puddle atleast provide a mop
9.6 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy hotel with all the confort that you need. Staff awesome. Ready to help you in everything that you need! When we were there it was a little bit empty but it’s still low season. All the activities went well! Breakfast good (maybe add fruits as in the photos). Also the meals where really good and big portions!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room, people, food and activities are all incredible!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Being travelled quite extensively around the world and specially in Asia, I can say this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Amazingly helpful staff, great food, naturalist accompanying all tours, Tharu cultural dance at dinner all adds up to a wonderful stay. The hotel upgraded us to a suite with a private pool and a plunge pool inside the room, very sweet of them.
Cons: Terrible road to get there, as it is under construction. Recommended to call the hotel and ask for directions before hand.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good communication with the hotel before arrival and a lovely welcome. Very kind staff. The eco-friendly bungalows are super comfortable, cutely designed and fit beautifully into their surroundings. Stunning location on the bank of the river and wonderful excursions are offered. Nice spa and one of the best massages I've ever had. We spent four days here and could have easily stayed another four. It was our favorite place of all the places we stayed in Nepal!!!
Cons: Restaurant staff could still use some more training. Limited English makes it difficult to communicate. It would have been nice to have the pool heated; it was too cold to use.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything as expected. Accommodating staff, warm reception, good management, an excellent relax day and we were lucky to be there during New Year celebrations
Cons: The road to get there was not asphalted, our driver was freaking out....
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Warm and attentive staff, great jungle lodge set up, proximity to Chitwan Park and being in nature.
Cons: Nothing.

Cons: Nothing pure
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lodge and the experience are definitely worth time and money. We went on a jungle walk and spotted rhinos and other animals. Food was simple but delicious. Staff is helpful and friendly. Highly recommended for 2-3 nights stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staying at this resort exceeded my expectations. I was welcomed by the activities manager and one of the naturalists and they made me feel like a valued customer straight away. The staff was fantastic at organising personalised activities, providing information and always making sure I had everything I needed. Every member of the team went out of their way to create a positive and personal atmosphere. I loved the jeep safari and boat safari and the surprise bush dinner on the last night of my stay. The rooms were great: I loved the lay-out and colour scheme, but the best thing was the little balcony with views of the Rapti river and forest behind it. Highly recommend this lodge if you're going to Chitwan!
Cons: If this lodge wants to be a pioneer and really go for the eco and sustainable tourism stamp it should lose the elephant ride activity option and provide paper straws instead of plastic.

Pros: Best service. All bookings were perfect organised -in time and the owner take care about himself that nothing goes wrong. Meals are cooked very good. Saw Rhinos in the morning at the lodge.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Raj is super friendly and will make anything you want happen. Will pick you up from the busstation and drops you off (in the seat of the bus) for free. When there is a rhino in the village he will take you there. As a free welcome activity a guide from the hostel will take you on a walk to the bufferzone, we saw 2 rhinos and the elephants used for patroling around 5 pm. Also the tours from Rhinoland (canoying and jungle walk) are recommended. Nice garden for breakfast and dinner. Nice chairs in front of the room. All the guys that work here are there to help you and are really friendly. These guys know how to satisfy your stay!
Cons: Hard pillows but you can ask for other ones. Also the bathroom (sink and shower) could be cleaner.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so helpful. I was traveling with my 18month old son and they couldn’t have been more welcoming. Picking me up and dropping off at the bus station was a great bonus.
Cons: The fan in my room was a little noisy and the pillows hard. However, I didn’t mention this to the owner as it wasn’t a big deal and was fine for me.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely peaceful hotel with kind staff, beautiful views across river and meadow - could see crocodile and the hotel elephants from lunch table. One of the nicest hotels we have stayed. canoe trip, jungle walk and jeep safari were all great. great food. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful place to stay, especially with children- they had space to play and run around, and loved watching the elephants. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place is beautiful and the young women working there are just lovely. We loved watching the elephants and some dishes were really delicious. The social purpose is worth paying some extra money. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Cons: It’s a bit pricey, but if the money is used for the social purposes it’s worth it. Some Elephants still have to work. I would prefer if they were just living there. Such beautiful animals.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very well done at this location!!! We wished we would have had a few more days to spend there!! Very relaxing and enjoyable!!
Cons: I can think of one thing to recommend improving! They did a great job!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location of this lodge is delightful, overlooking Chitwan, with a river and elephants wandering past. The area is well maintained, with swinging chairs, comfy seating and lots of places to sit and admire the view. The service was great, very helpful and pleasant staff. The lodge drop you into Sauhara if requested, they also arranged a high quality Safari day for us - we saw 2 tigers! Our room was very pleasant, spotlessly clean and large. We had a family room, one double and two singles which was ideal. Lovely food. Great eco tourism lodge, I highly recommend this to others.
Cons: More of a 'to consider' than 'not like', but we delivered 2 large bags of items we had bought for the local school (toothbrushes, toothpaste, toys etc) and the school were not that interested in what we had bought. Maybe they just see too many tourists with such items! Everyone was friendly but perhaps consider sharing the goodies around to less fortunate schools if you take things?
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting near grasslands and river with regular elephant traffic and visible village life. A well thought out resort that apparently seeks to minimise environmental impact and support the local community. The grounds and gardens were entertainment in themselves.
Cons: Trekking and jungle activities were unexpectedly expensive and seemed to "upsize" with little warning.
7.9 Good
Pros: The property really gives this vacation feeling. Very nice garden and plantation. Rooms surrounded in green. Thumbs up to the breakfast!! Really really yummy :))))
Cons: A little bit of walk to the main street for the hot summer time. Wish there were a swimming pool there but this is maybe too much to ask for.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location, lovely vibe, friendly staff
Cons: Quite pricey considering wifi didn’t work most of the time and power often shut off, lovely place and comfortable but just think it was a bit expensive for what it was especially considering we were there during off season and not many people there + raining a lot
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is perfect especially if you've come from Kathmandu or Lumbini, it's just an oasis. Food was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful. I needed to go the pharmacy and they drove me into town for free, no questions asked, such great hospitality.
Cons: This place is amazing but the activities need review. The elephant care program is a waste of money, you will get more value booking the feeding, bathing and sunset walk separately. The helping at the shelter part is only 5 minutes of being shown where they sleep and the harvesting of banana trees is you watching someone else do it and then loading the truck. The traditional Tharu dinner was also disappointing as the family although very friendly, didn't speak English so I sat in a corner and watched them cook but didn't actually get to help out like the program describes because we couldn't communicate with each other.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and settings of a whole property is really nice. We love garden with hammocks and overlooking river with elephants bathing. We did a full day jeep safari that we absolutely loved.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The hotel itself if lovely; pretty gardens, a spacious clean room and it was quiet and peaceful. Is 5 minutes walk from the main street and 5 minutes walk to the riverfront where you can watch the sunset and spot crocodiles! The staff were friendly and they surprised us with a pick up from the bus station, as well as dropping us back off when we left. We booked a canoe ride followed by a walking jungle tour in the national park at a reasonable price and our guides, Joghart and Manu, kept us safe even when we came up close with several rhinos! It was a great stay, nice and relaxed, not too much fussing around you, but very accommodating to your needs. Breakfast was decent too and it was different both days. Bravo guys!
Cons: I literally couldn’t fault it!
9.2 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, which helps you to solve any problem in order to make your stay as comfy as possible. The location is great, close to the Main Street with shops and cafes.
Cons: The food served as a part of jungle safari package should be improved. It’s better if the local food could be cooked and served instead of “westernized” food.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We were really, positively suprised when they arrived for us to the local bus terminal. Good breakfast, nice garden very helpfull staff.
Cons: Quite expensive laundry, count by pcs not per kilogram.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The resort is ideally located right next to the park. Everything is organised - you get information on all the activities available and they are on time. The rooms were very nice and clean, with a big shower area and the terrace was a bonus. Great place to sit on your rocking chair in peace while looking at the beautiful gardens. The restaurant staff was so nice, they tried to accommodate to our requests and the food was plentiful and good - especially their pastas and delicious momos. The hot lemon drink was also delicious. The breakfast they served us was huge, and we couldn't finish it all unfortunately. There is a friendly cat around the resort who is also a welcome sight. It was a beautiful, peaceful ambiance and the pool was right there for a dip!
Cons: The a/c was a bit too strong blowing on our beds where we slept, and if we switched it off the room would get hot very quickly. The overhead fan was not of much help. The reception staff were very relaxed at first when we offered to pay on the first day, saying that we should pay on the day that we leave. Ok, but then the night before we were supposed to leave they suddenly started pressing us to pay that night. We did, but it was quite uncomfortable to get this treatment, perhaps they needed the money asap? Also, the resort closes its doors at 9pm, so unfortunately you can not stay out very late.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked Green Park for one nite and after that.....we booked the rest of our stay with them! The welcome and check in made us feel special! It was 98 degrees F and they had cold towels and cold! drinks ready and waiting! The entire staff was there to please. Walking thru the grounds we were in awe of the beautiful gardens! It was so serene and peaceful. Our room was 5 star! A huge walk in shower and fresh towels. The first afternoon we enjoyed relaxing by the pool which overlooks a large area of openness and could hear the birds and elephants (in the distance). There was a beautiful rainbow and we couldn't not get over that we were in the jungle area of Nepal! There is a special kitty that lives at the property named, Hope. She is so cool! She is like a mini tiger. I hope anyone who stays at Green Park pays attention to her. She is an added bonus to the stay. The dining area at Green Park is as nice as it gets! The staff including the chefs are happy and make and serve your food with pride. We had an awesome server each day, named Ajay Kumal. This young man is professional, kind and strived to make sure we had everything we needed. Ajay is determined to learn better English and practices on his off time. We wish we could bring him to the US! Green Park also has an amazing Activity Company within. They set us up with a wooden canoe experience down the river thru the jungle! This is not a "Disneyland Ride"...this is 45 min thru the jungle where you see crocodiles, birds and other jungle life. We also did the jungle walk with an amazing naturalist named Robbie! Robbie has studied to become one of the best! He knows all the species and is so good with educating his guests that we hired him again for a friend 2 weeks later. We also did the Elephant Breeding Center where we were taught about the breeding program and how the babies are adjusted into jungle life. I can not say enough GREAT THINGS about Green Park! I plan to go back 2020.
Cons: I have no complaints!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Chital lodge is a fantastic place to stay. Quiet location in the village next to rice fields & a couple of hundred metres to the community forest. Bishnu & his family were fantastic hosts. The food was so fresh & tasty, with the rice & vegetables grown in the garden. Bishnu is also an excellent guide & i went with him on a walking safari into the community forest & saw rhino. He also arranged for an elephant ride. The price was extremely good value.
Cons: The accomodation is very simple so if you know you need luxury, this might not be the place for you .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I have travelled all over the world and am normally fussy about where I stay.  I worried about coming to Meghauli, about whether I would find anywhere nice. I needn't have worried. Bishnu is a world class host... I had trouble getting to Meghauli, when my bus that was supposed to take me there told me unexpectedly I needed to get off 1 hour away from the town. I was terrified to be left without any means of getting there. Bishnu sent someone immediately, calmed my nerves on the phone AND called the bus company's owner to complain on my behalf! I honestly don't know what I would have done without him. Furthermore, when I needed to withdraw money he drove me on his motorcycle 30mins away to the nearest ATM. In fact, Bishnu does everything he can for his guest's comfort. Both Bishnu and his wife and wonderful, polite and kind people and create a homely, safe environment whilst giving you your privacy. Chital Lodge itself is serene and peaceful. At night all you hear are crickets and the occasional hoot of Chital deer in the nearby river. In the daytime, only birds. This is the kind of place you stay when you need to recharge and restore your soul. It is rural, but this adds to the charm. The food is excellent (and that comes from a very faddy eater)  I genuinely felt sad to leave Chital Lodge. If you are considering Meghauli as a destination to base yourself at to go to Chitwan I highly recommend it and if you do go, the ONLY accommodation you should consider is Chital Lodge. Thank you for everything Bishnu....don't forget to look after my dog and cat friend for me :)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: we stayed at Chital lodge for 5 nights and we were very happy we chosed this place, the price is more than good for the service you get, Vishnu the owner is an amazing host, he speaks perfect english and knows a lot about the animals and the place so you get to learn a lot from him, his food is amazing, i am vegetarian and all the meals were delicious. We did walking safari and jeep safari with him, he is a great spotter and you can see he loves nature and enjoys the plan with you, he is very fair and honest with the prices so you don’t have to worry for that.
Cons: We went on september so Chitwan was very hot at the moment and the room got a bit hot, just try to find activities during the day.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything ! The host was the best we had in 3 weeks of Nepal. From the warm welcome, his knowledge of the jungle and local flora, the delicious organic food ( almost everything comes from his own farm ). He is a great safari guide and has a solution for every little troubles. He even drove 30 killometers to find an ATM for me ! Deffinitly recommanding the Chital Lodge. P.S. he is in the business with his father since 30 years and has a very fluent english, probably more than me !
Cons: The surroundings are beautiful but it's hard to reach. Us and another group had trouble getting there, the taxis and bus don't really know the way. Also, not a problème for me, but you have to cross a small river as the bridge collapsed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bishnu is a great host!! I've never met such a welcoming person..he made sure everything was perfect and he treated us like family, the stay itself was also really good! The place is in a quite area in the village where you feel the peacefulness and serenity of nature. I loved everything about this experience and I would definitely come back again
Cons: Nothing..everything was perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner (Bishnu) is very friendly, helpful and is also an expert guide. The traditional bamboo rooms are essential but make you feel close to nature in a special way. Food is freshly prepared and amazing! The position (Meghauli) is great: less touristic but more wild animals! We are not expert adventurers but we felt safe and confortable here. Thanks a lot to Bishnu!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bishnu and the whole family are there to make you feel welcome. Everything is done according to you and what you want to discover of the jungle. I highly recommend this lodge !! Thank you again for such a good time

Pros: Amazing place Bishnu great host and lovely family Good quiet location worth the trip He’s an excellent guide we managed to see 9 rhinos and 0 other tourists!! Pros: The location!! We saw 2 crocodiles, 1 rhino and 4 elephants :)
Cons: The bathroom could be better, but the location was so great and Sudip is an excellent host
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is in the national park. We heard rhino's right outside our door in the evening and when we went outside saw them in the garden so if you like wildlife you will love this hostel. Even though it's in the national park it's accessible in terms of shops and restaurants. We also bought a tour through the hostel which was competitive and had good guides. Again seeing tigers, crocodiles and a very close encounter with another rhino.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hostel is very beautiful. And if you don't mind sharing the room with some bugs, lizards and rodents, for sure a great place to stay. The staff member was very helpful and kind. Even if I arrived late in the night it was still possible to book a safari for the next day. I was really satisfied with the guide. He was well educated, passionate and new a lot about the wildlife and plants.
Cons: The path to the hostel is impossible to find by your own and there is no sign on the way either.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Everything I like the most

Pros: Location on river and staff wonderful.
Cons: Not able to arrive at lodge without walking.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean, mosquito nets on beds, warm water in shower. Right by the river, good value. Basic, no frills accommodation. The owner arranged a really great safari for us and worked hard to keep us happy.
Cons: Very weak fan in the room! Not very easy to find for the first time. Would recommend getting picked up from the bus stop. A bit of a mouse problem but it is a jungle property!
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Old and dirty
7.9 Good
Pros: Riverside! Lovely sunsets seen from the front platforms. Owner was friendly and attentive. Room was comfortable but basic. And common garden will be great when outside kitchen is in use.
Cons: Bathroom a little shabby. And the room is not all that secure. Expect a bug or two but nothing scary! Access to property needs a bit of attention.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was right next to the safari start point, alongside the river which was really relaxing. We had hot water all the time and it was extremely good value for money. We were also assisted with booking our bus ticket.
Cons: The location is a little odd through a small piece of land but for the price and location to the river and safaris we were more than happy to walk through.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Location is right at the park border. Jungle walk and canoe ride with guide Gopal was a highlight of my Chitwan experience.

Pros: Perfect Location.
Cons: Swimming Pool was not ready
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality of the stuff make the stay exceptional. especially the way they accommodate your need. The tour guide Mr. Komol is exceptional Birder and very good companion. The owner Mr. Subodh is wonderful person who also arranged personal safari tour for all the guest. he is also a nature enthusiastic and wonderful photographer. the support staff tried their level best to make sure all of the guest are comfortable and their needs are met. the foods were ok but go for the Nepali cousin when you are here. the cottage is beyond my expectation and beautifully located towards the jungle with a great veranda where you can enjoy serenity of nature. a perfect stay for nature lover.
Cons: I would prefer a easy chair in veranda and also they should introduce few booklets about the jungle and its wildlife.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything! The location was beautiful. The staff and owner were so helpful! The tours were mind blowing - especially the jeep safari and elephant bathing. We would definitely recommend this place and like to come back in the future!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were absolutely incredible. Everyone treats you like a friend. The safari guide, Harka, was like an encyclopedia! He knew so much about every animal and plant we encountered. We are over the moon about Sarang, it was the experience of a lifetime!
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice Location in Chitwan and Breakfast might my Buffet or not limited to some items only normally my Kids can't gets Cornflakes /Oats. Including Boiled egg might be better.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautiful, rooms are very nice, pool was awesome on a hot day, Harka our tour guide was amazing, wildlife sightings were great, owner helped us out with transportation and was really great to deal with, best part was that the tours were basically private, we saw other tour groups crammed into jeeps with everyone talking, our Jeep safari and walking safari were awesome! Very close encounters with lots of rhinos and so many other animals.
Cons: They didn’t really explain anything to us on our arrival on how the whole resort functioned, we didn’t realize it was set meals, no menu to choose what you want for dinner. They also didn’t tell us upfront that all the tours/activities/meals/drinks would be subject to a 23% tax which really pushed the price up for our whole stay. Staff are all very friendly but just need another few training sessions on customer service, there were about 27 staff members working everyday and there were only about 3-7 guests staying per night yet they didn’t really explain much to us about the prep/itinerary/options for activities/meals. Overall cool place though if you’ve got the funds to spend on an expensive few days in the jungle.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff and owners were very friendly at all times, coming to check up on us several times during meals and when bumping into us at the lobby of bar. Overall friendliness is 100! Location is also serene in the less crowded corner of chitwan.
Cons: Unfortunately there were sometimes miscommunications and the staff would proceed without understanding the request clearly. Few issues we came across during two day stay: Dirty pillow in room: replaced and fixed immediately. Tours: this is where the resort makes money which is fine but it seemed everything was up to bargaining to get the “best price”. It was a bit tiring for what should be a relaxing place. The value of the tours differ as well and can be quite expensive relative to the price of the room. Taxi: on our departure the hotel arranged a taxi to take us to Kathmandu, unfortunately the driver drove us to town about an hour away then started changing the terms and negotiating the price asking for double. It was a sad ending to an otherwise fun stay. We ended up leaving the taxi and going by bus because it was such a hassle.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: They have a swimming pool! The staff is very good. The setting is wonderful.
Cons: Breakfast could do with a bit of improvement - especially for vegetarians. The swimming pool needs more cleaning.
