Room, Bed, Location near restaurants. Nothing
It was the easiest check in expience I've had. The hotel was very clean; even though the only rooms avaible were smoking rooms, it didnt smell too bad. The breakfest was wonderful for our entire stay. Very worth the money in my option. It was located on off of the highway and it took about 12-15 minutes of more driving to get anywhere.
Free breakfast & the comfortable beds
was able to have pet inside room had a molding smell/ wet in room, may be due to area/ weather not sure
The Breakfast was excellent! We also enjoyed the indoor pool and jacuzzi. The lobby and dining area were beautifully decorated also and very inviting. When we got our room key, we found the room was not cleaned with dirty towels all over the floor as well as un unmade bed. We were given a new room quickly, but it was concerning. I also asked for a roll away bed which I had to roll to the room myself.
This hotel ranks a Big 10 in my books. There is no place in northern Alabama to get this fine of a suite at even double the money. The staff is very profesional and the owner very nice and egar to make sure your visit is comfortable. One day or a month you will be very pleased with your stay. The indoor pool and spa were a gift for a well worn road man.
Parking. Location between Huntsville and Decatur. Close to airport. Friendly staff. Could not keep up with coffee demand in early am. Suggest kerig device for coffee, tea, cider, hot chocolate
Location, woman in food area was extremely nice, good selection of food. No
friendly & clean, comfortable rooms, excellent price thru priceline.com
Nice, clean, & comfortable. Parking lot is too dark at night. Lighting is good around the entrance, but otherwise too dark. I have stayed here twice a year for the past 5-6 years. The price has increased on this stay. Too expensive. I will be moving to another hotel.
The staff was friendly and the check in was smooth. When we arrived, they gave us our room but it was the wrong one. We had booked and payed for a 2 queen bed suite due to our family dynamics. They were unable to switch us bc the rooms were all booked up by miultiple softball teams that were staying there.
Awesome hotel! Was there with my two dogs for an event! They were good to me and my dogs. Had a pretty good hot breakfest. Indoor pool and hot tub was also very cool. Room was very big and had a big comfortable bed
Room was reasonably clean and nicely furnished. Wifi worked well as did the AC. The hot tub was great! Breakfast met expectations. Staff was friendly and helpful. Washer and dryer worked well but could use a good cleaning. Hotel is relatively new, but general maintenance appears to be lacking in areas.
clean, friendly, great location, reasonable the rusty screen on the pool wall; I guess it was the pool pump room
Indoor pool was great and warm Hangars from previous guest still in the bathroom. Made us feel like the cleaning crew could have been more diligent.
The Hotel Employee at the front desk was professional and did an awesome job...she offered outstanding customer service was on 2nd floor...could smell cigarette smell in hallway and in room 224 even though 100% smoke free

This hotel was a good value for the price.. N/A

Very clean, 100% smoke free and no ordor. Not really
Only issue was ordering room service. Food was not worth the money and a little dissapointing for the price. Everything else about the stay was great.
Bed was comfortable, it was nice and cool in the room. Everyone we encountered was very nice. Walls are way too thin. Our neighbors played country music at 1am so loud, for at least an hour. You could hear kids running in the hall and their parents hollering at them
Bobby and Cedric (bell staff) we're great. Room was clean. Breafast was excellent, but costly. Bathroom was nice (rain shower showerhead) View from room was horrible, glass cover on side table was broken and jagged, large urine stain on mattress liner, Breakfast was expensive (felt like it should have been included for this price), two lamps didn't work. Mini fridge not cool enough to store food, just cool off cokes.
Westin in Huntsville has always been a great spot to stay. Clean, Comfortable, and plenty to do and see with shopping, spa, and movies. Enjoy it every time. No complaints.
Lobby was beautiful and comfortable for visiting Strange smell around the pool
The location, assets, and food service are top notch. They continue to experience problems with cable service i.e. bad cable box last visit. Bad remote this time. Cust Svc did not pick up. For 3 visits now the indoor heated pool and spa were nasty. Finally, the. battery on the new door lock failed and has to be replaced while we waited.
The ease of attending performances at the VBC without having to rush. We live in Madison county, but it's nice to have a night out with the girls. The show was great, the hotel very poor for any price. Our room was so dusty you could write your name on every surface. The A/C didn't seem to work, the bathroom floor was damp when we checked in at 5 ish. One of our key cards didn't work on the garage parking or the room door. The clerk who checked us in seemed to be very bored with the whole process. The TV screen had something smeared all over it. We have stayed here before and know what good service and cleanliness is. I was sent a email asking what our preference for the room was, floor height, view, etc. I requested a room with a view of the park. Our view was of the roof at the VBC. Will not be staying with Embassy Suites for any other VBC performances.
Once a jewel in Huntsville, Embassy is now a joke in luxury circles. The indoor pool, breakfast, and access to the VBC are its redeeming features. I think they need a bit more competition downtown to spur investment to spruce it up.
Love the location and the amenities. As an HH member I've seen this facilities credibility plummet. This management team is trying but consistently miss the mark in big and small ways. This time they cleaned the hot tub. When? During down hours? No! During the day Friday with 1300 kids in for a science contest. Please get it together soon.
Helpful staff. Clean. Parking garage with plenty of spaces (at the time at least. .. may vary at another time? ?) Internet (wifi) was 12$ additional on top of charges for the room.
Many things were very good. Housekeeping staff were very good. Breakfast staff very good. Check in and final check out staff (the same person) was excellent. Check out was not good. The first man I approached hardly acknowledged me and then made no eye contact. He didn't follow through with my request for bellhop service. Had to call on 5 consecutive days to get a simple answer as to whether or not I had left an item in my room.
*The price *New and modern *Comfortable beds *Close to the canal downtown *Good selection of items to purchase at the front desk *USB outlets by the bed *Large walk-in closet *Wifi worked great. We were able to watch a movie on Netflix on the iPad with no problems. *The layout of the room is SO WEIRD! The toilet is completely separate from the shower and both are awkward. We were in a double queen room and the toilet room was at the foot of the one of the beds with only a sliding door with "frosted" glass for privacy. I think the wrong glass was used on our room because you could totally see what anyone was doing in there down to the the color of their clothes and facial expressions. There was a tiny sink with a small mirror in the corner, so using the mirror to get ready was impossible. There was no hand towel bar so the only place to put a towel was over on a shelf above the toilet. Also, no hand soap was provided, only bar facial soap. I don't typically interchange hand and facial soap so it seemed weird not to have hand soap. The shower room was at the foot of the other bed with another sliding door. This door offered more privacy but still it's weird that you can't use the bathroom and then take a shower without walking out in front of the people you're staying with and going into the other room. It's like the designer was trying too hard to be modern and failed. *I like that there was breakfast and the selection was ok but I was disappointed it was pretty much the same thing all 3 days. Scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, and seasoned potatoes. There was also a waffle maker out 2 of the days and a selection of cereal/oatmeal with toppings, bagels, toast, muffins, coffee, etc.
We chose the hotel for the location, an easy walk from downtown for the city's marathon. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and luxury of the room, but even more thrilled by the warm and helpful staff - especially at the front desk and among the housekeeping staff. Thank you!
The room was clean and bathrooms cleaned up every day. Bed was comfortable. The shop was a little small for such a large hotel, breakfast was OK but not that good, and overall for that high price in Alabama I was expecting the common spaces to be a little better. The staff overall was nice except for one person that consistently felt like it was a chore to reply to my question.
The hotel was recently remodeled and was very modern and clean
very clean, nice staff, quiet, decent price, nice hotel the air didn't seem to work well. the temp was set on 60, but it was still warm. need at least one drink machine on each floor. it was quite annoying when I had to walk down stairs from the third floor to get a bottle of water at 7 AM
The bed was made everyday, the garbage was emptied, the front desk person was very nice. Coffee, cream, & sugar was never replenished during my four-day stay. There were mold stains on the curtains.
Decent 2 star hotel. Clean and didn't smell in the public areas. The front desk clerk immediately changed my room and upgraded it to a suite after I informed her the initial room smelled like smoke. The check-in took about 10 minutes even though I already made the reservation and no one else was waiting in line. The initial room I was given smelled like smoke (it's supposed to be a 100% smoke free facility). The t.v. was not very clear. There was a stain on the sofa and on the towels. The waffles and juice did not taste very good at breakfast.
Price and location (several good places to eat within walking distance). Enter from interior of hotel instead of exterior. Well lighted outside hotel. Breakfast very average, room did not have hair dryer and one had to be borrowed from another room. Needed a wash cloth and front desk did not have any but they did have towels.
Not much! Staff had issues with making a correct key...after three tries, we switched to a different room. The room was missing pillows, had cob webs and bugs on air conditioner, and we found a lighter in the chair (not good with a 1 year old!). The breakfast offered was poor with no fruit or yogurt. When I got a cup of juice, there were bugs in it.
Absolutely nothing Hotel did not honor the rate advertise my KAYAK,television did not work ,room had been flooded mildew stains everywhere's,clark's extremely rude.linen smelled as if they were soiled sheets.
The beds were very comfortable Carpet in room had a couple stains
Watch out for that extra $50 fee that you must pay on the day you check out. The sign on the table will inform you of it, but the desk person won't go over it with you to make sure you understand that although you already paid $75 for your reservation via Kayak.com, another $50 WILL BE charged for incidentals. That $$ will be refunded when your room is found in order, all towels accounted for, etc. **it can take up to 2 weeks for that refund. I hope you have an extra $50 just to lend to LA Quinta during your travels. I hope you didn't want that $$ for gas or food or souvenirs/attractions, etc. You'll get it back but only after your vacation is over. So bring an extra $50 for them.
My room was mostly clean, and the hotel was close to the highway making it very convenient. Both the night staff and morning staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is the type with exterior corridors, which I did not realize before booking. This always makes me nervous as a female traveling alone. This was exacerbated by clearly drunk young men hanging around on the balconies shouting across at each other when I arrived at 12:30am. In addition, my room was oddly sub-par. The towel rack fell off the wall when I reached for a hand towel. The pillow cases were on inside-out. The desk chair was jammed under the desk. The curtains had something white dried on them. For $90/night, I expect better.
What I booked was not available.
The breakfast choices for the money spent. The convenience of being next to popular eating places. The flat panel TV. There was spoiled food (bagel), but management was nice/courteous about it. The tiny bathroom.
Good price for a clean, comfortable room in a great location. There were minor cosmetic maintenance issues in and around the room. Nothing major though.
Tubs/showers were newer and nice Only reason I booked here was for a pool. Pool was closed for maintenance and no one said anything until we were dressed and heading to the pool. It wasn't posted anywhere. Tub had no plug and I asked front desk for one and they didn't have one. Bed cover was dingy and one bed was lower than the other. One mattress dipped down.

Staff, location, pool, wifi; AC in room worked poorly. Very frustrating.
Location was near main roads and highway. Parking was also easy. No continental breakfast offered for that quick small meal before heading out for the day. Only an overpriced buffet that was average.
Near the main roads made it quick to get around. The hot tub was full of kids and unusable by adults. Should have been separated more inside the pool area. Or have an adult only pool time.
It had a comfortable bed, clean, spacious and pleasant room. Friendly staff, work out room and pool
Staff was awesome Older and showing it's age
it was clean and the front desk clerk was very friendly. safe location. would have liked to have attended the Karaoke night in the lounge but got done with meeting too late. was a little creepy staying next to an abandoned shopping mall. sure hope Huntsville is able to quickly redevelop that land.
I was shocked because the pics online don't give the hotel justice. It's beautiful. Staff very nice and the place is so clean. Well decorated and the food was good in the restaurant..close to shopping. The only I could say is redo pics on website :)
The location The noise level and the hotel's lack of response to the issue. The patrons were extremely disruptive and hotel staff seemed to allow this to continue until the wee hours of the morning.
I liked the location and the staff was very helpful and friendly The first room I was placed in the bathroom light did not work, however the staff quickly changed my room.
I can definitely recommend this hotel. It's a nice lace to stay at a very reasonable price, and right off the interstate too! I didn't like some of the other guests, who screamed profanities at each other very loudly around 3:00 am. However, I don't think the hotel can be blamed for that.
The accessibility to all of the locations we needed to be at. The shortage of towels, and third degree when asking the front desk for more tissue paper.
The price When I first got there the room they gave me wasn't clean the second room they gave me the bath tub was nasty I was a spider in my room the room doesn't look like what the pictures show the coke machine didn't work so I had to drive to the store to get something to drink
Big kinda comfy bed no pet fee There was no real blanket on the bed just a cover when we asked for more towels only one small one in the room originally we got rude response all of the linens were stained and old we paid for the upgrade room and got a normal room the carpets were gross there was carving on the bed and tables and the tv was old and the heat barely worked the next morning breakfast honey bun and cinnamon rolls like you buy at Walmart
Plenty of restruants near by. Dirty, shower leaked, toilet barely flushed, burn marks and stains on sheets. Got a non smoking room but room next to me was smoking. Whole room and hallway smelled like smoke. TV remote didn't work and all the outlets were covered so I had to charge my phone in the bathroom.
Took my Aerospace Engineering boyfriend to the Space and Rocket Center for a Christmas gift. Hotel was super convenient and close to the museum, making it easy to pop back briefly for a break. I prioritized a good view, and stayed in a room with a direct view of the Saturn V rocket! Staff members were very helpful and friendly. Check-in and -out process was quick and painless.
