Stayed here for one night so we could visit Giverny. Room for 3 was good size and very comfortable. Liked the separate WC apart from shower room, as this was very convenient for three people. Wish it were closer to train station, but only a 15 minute walk.
fair size room. elevator. tv. ventiladed with windows including in the bathroom. beautiful dining room and garden, very good breakfast. secured parking if reserved. no
city center location very average. not qualifying for a 3-star rated hotel.
Restaurant was good, Parking was available on the public car park outside the hotel so no need to pay for parking. Good location in the centre of the town. Easy access to Monets garden at Giverny. sounds silly but the front doors were stiff and a bit difficult to get in with your bags.
good hotel in centre of vernon town close to giverny
good location - en route back to England/ near Monet's garden comfortable clean room reasonable price no tea/coffee making facilities in room breakfast a bit minimal
A good base for exploring nearby Giverney a few miles away. here are ample restaurants and shops within a few blocks of the hotel, and a lovely park along the Seine. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we got what we expected. Try the adjoining restaurant, which was excellent! No air conditioning or fan, though it was not hot during our June stay. Also, no refrigerator or coffee in the room. And if you can get street parking, opt for that because getting out of the narrow parking garage exit can be quite difficult, and I wouldn't want to try it in a large vehicle!
nice hotel in nice town. Good for Paris on the train. Meals looked good but restaurant was full on night we stayed. Good bistros in town Rooms a bit tired.
it was quiet and had lovely garden it does not have a proper restaurant and is a bit short of staff
The hotel is well equipped and the Chataeu is very impressive It lacks the warmth and service levels of the smaller Loire Chateaus
Nothing. Booked for two nights and checked out the following morning. They sell you the idea of the Chateau, but you stay in a Hilton Style conferance centre. Staff and service best summurised as non existent
Location Food average and typical with France over priced with a lack of choice
Calm 5 star having to leave!
Ambience and setting was very good. General lack of food and beverage facilities.Few staff available and no room service.Shown to the room and generally left to get on with it.
The position and setting of the hotel and it's unique style. The quality and presentation of the food. The Coumtryside room that we occupied lacked light and would have benifitted by an additional cieling mounted lamp.
Lovely location, gorgeous setting, wifi included, blissfully comfortable bed Rooms could have used another light; a bit dim at night
We were the first reservation that this hotel had received via Booking.com and they thoroughly spoilt us. The gourmet meal was superb and the service impeccable. Ours is the first review of this hotel and we recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a little bit of luxury by the Seine.
The food was superb Our room was very dark and it was located in the 'attic' with very low ceilings, hence we suffered from back ache from bending
Excellent nouvelle cuisine Room very low head height & cramped
Excellent position, with views over Seine, from room (side view) and restaurant. Good parking, right in front of hotel. Booked a garden room, which is admittedly the economy room, but very dissapointing. Did not look at all like picture on website. Attic room with little headroom, too dark - not enough lights and deep purple decor made it worse. Couldn't see to read properly. No bath, we were not asked if we wanted one, and prospectus did not say there wasn't one. Dinner 22euro choice looked good but starters were poor - miniscule piece of fish 3 inches x 1 inch, and what was the tasteless egg floating in a sea of liquid? Maincourse good, but no vegetables whatsoever. Headwaiter's initial approach rather brash and superior.
Wonderful location overlooking the Seine.Food was excellent if a little expensive Rooms were very nice but suffer from the aesthetic approach rather than practical-no curtain or separation for the shower in the bathroom so water goes everywhere-but it looks good!
Gorgeous view on the Seine, nice room and an excellent restaurant, all at very affordable prices.
Proximity to Giverny enabling a long visit to Monet`s house ,garden and museum with a very pleasant lunch. General feeling of poor management supervision - perhaps we timed our visit badly!!!
Fantastic location, rather quirky Expensive Champagne breakfast
Poor food selection, and impoliteness of staff. I have stayed at Campanile hotels before and my stay was pleasant. That is why I chose to stay here again but I must say that my experience at this particular location was subpar.
Overall hotel was clean and fresh looking, rooms were very clean with good state of decor. Campanile Epone had no real Bad points Campanile Beauvais, however, was worst hotel experience i've had, dirty rooms, overall shoddy appearance
Very close to the motorway and the buffet was amazing!
friendly staff, modern design of rooms, free parking and free use of wifi. Good to provide electronic kettle with plastic cups and coffee and tea. it's more like a overpriced B&B. The outlook of the hotel is more like a warehouse. The room is extremely small despites its out-of-the-way location. Stain marks on bath curtain and bedsheet. Noise from the main road.
Close to motorway Restaraunt was very bad service and food not a good standard
everyone from the staff was friendly, courteous, efficient and caring; you could feel very comfortable; location allows for trips to city and countryside as well.
Ths staff were freindly and helpful. I booked this hotel because there was a pool - the pool was not open during our stay. I also note on the bookings.com website that it says that payment is not taken before check in, but it was. It was also undergoing a major redecoration and nothing was mentioned about that at the time of booking.
Comfortable Not enough choice of evening meal
Very nice for children with outdoor pool and play area in hotel lobby, both for small children but also for older children with play station. Nice with large sitting area, newspappers and TV in hotel lobby. Very close to large shopping centre and just 50 meters from McDonalds. Train station not so near and you need to drive car there.
Bad hotel. old and unpleasent. It is not a genuine Novotol.
Great place :)
The updated rooms and restaurant were a nice change, clean and modern and very comfortable. It would be nice if all of the Campanile Hotels were newly updated.
The staff were very friendly and the evening meal we had was excellent. The room we were in was used by smokers and the smell of stale tobacco was not pleasant. We asked for a non-smoking room. I would suggest that all rooms become non-smoking to avoid this.
Cleanliness of rooms. Breakfast. Cooked food is very poor. Bedroom air conditioning was very ineffective.
Very good quality, modern and clean, very quiet just next to the Golf Courts. The staff is very friendly and proffessional. Ideal Hotel to stay and go to visit Paris (La Défense is only 15 min by car, good parking there and continue by RER/Metro ) and 35 minutes from the famous monet museum in Vernon.
Staff were exceptionally friendly. Rooms spotlessly clean - it's a relativly new hotel. Motel style, with outside corridors. Quiet. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the meal. Good value, good choice breakfast buffet. No hairdryer in room. Location is a bit isolated, but it suited us as a stop en route to Versailles. I would have absolutely no hesitation staying there again.
Free and good internet, free parking, renewed rooms. The breakfast is a quite expensive for me.
silent, quite, confortable, good cousine and friendly staff, realy close to main road for Paris and industrial suburbia, so at least really ideal for business trip with a free time on disposal!!
A little more expensive than others, but well worth it. Excellent restaurant and certainly the best Campanile I have ever stayed at.
Very clean room, excellent value, good location, nice open space around hotel Bathroom shower, designed for handicapped guests, somewhat messy (showers all over the floor)
The public rooms were very well appointed and the staff extremely courteous and helpful. Only 1 pillow on the bed. Bar area cramped into Reception. Pasta only available with main meal.
10 minutes away from C.Monet Museum, but there is hotels closer!
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great breakfast. Although the staff did not speak english, they were very friendly and were patient with my requests. None!
Beds very comfortable and toilet/shower very good. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and its convenient location, very relaxed atmosphere. The family were impressed with the wide selection at breakfast. Slight disappointment, one of the reasons for booking the hotel was the convenience of a restaurant facility. Regrettably this was closed on both the days we were there, I notice that in the hotels own publicity it is closed on Sundays - this is not mentioned in your description. My daughter felt and I support her, it would be nice to have coffee/tea facilities in the room as is usual in England.
The hotel was as described -the rooms were good, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. We were returning to Calais after a touring holiday & chose to stay in Vernon as our daughter had stayed there several times in her teens, with a family, and we had also visited with her once. Nothing
Easy access to the restaurant and the good food preparation. The staff was comfortable and agreeable to work with with our limited French vocabulary! Having to walk through the smoking area right at the front entrance. It was difficult to find the hotel.
We found the hotel extremely welcoming and eceptionally clean. The Staff etremely helpful, friendly and polite. The Restaurant was of a very high standard in cuisine, style and decor. A thoroughly recommendable hotel in every respect.
Basic but clean and comfotable. Good WiFi. Plenty of free parking.
We stayed at this hotel after visiting Monet's Garden at Giverny. The staff were very welcoming and our room was small but comfortable for one night. The restaurant meal was excellent. Good wifi connection and parking. It is just off a main road but with the shutters down we were not disturbed by traffic.
It was close to Monet's Garden at Giverny, only 10 mins drive away. It was out of the way. There was only one menu choice for dinner at the restaurant. The staff were initially quite aloof. You needed to speak French for any queries as the staff did not speak any English.
The setting, ie. The Gardens. The Restraunt was excellent. Seeing the Hotel was virtually empty, it was a shame our room was in an annexe on the second floor. A little generosity on the room, seeing how expensive the restraunt was would have been appreciated.
The room rate was good given the standard of accommodation. I am not used to having a shower cubicle/handbasin actually in the bedroom (ie not in a seperate room off the bedroom). The bed was small. The restuarant v.expensive with a 125 ml glass of white wine costing 12 euros. The gates were locked at 11.00 pm and you could not get access after this time. The reception didn't open and gates were not unlocked. until 9.00 am. To advertise a spa is stretching the imagination. The small pool is in the resturant and can only be used 9.00am -11.00am and 3,00 - 5.00 pm and also not on Sundays or holidays!
The hotel was a beautiful chateau setting along a river. Checkin was good with our luggage being picked up with a golf cart and transported to the appropriate building. Our room was clean and comfortable. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was good. We originally thought the setting around the pool was a bit strange, but it was nice in the end. There was a concerted effort to help with the language issue since we speak very little French. Everyone was frriendly and tried their best to make us comfortable. We had a standard room and the shower was not a separate room-glass enclosed and visible. The security system was a bit overwhelming-had to arrive and depart on a timetable and no leaving your room after midnight or an alarm would be set off. Not a real problem; it was made a point of several times.
We liked the gardens and the setting as well as the history of the buildings The dining room is also the swimming pool and i did not like the smell of chlorine with my dinner.
Excellent facilities, beautiful setting and building. Poolside restaurant was excellent, we had no problems witht the smell of chlorine. Eating in the hotel is very expensive, but well worth the experience. Breakfast was excellent. The grounds are well kept and good parking. Staff are very attentive to detail. The room was in the annexe, and was far too small , some seating outside of the annexe would be appreciated. Check the cost of the evening meal before booking, as you cannot enter or leave the grounds after 9:00 pm. So you need to be committed to eating in the hotel, which is fine for one night, but would be very expensive for longer. You are not allowed to bring any food or drinks in to the hotel. There is nothing to see or do in the village, it is run down.
The location was great. I did not like the fact that the gates close at 9.30pm and you have to be in the hotel. This does not allow you to eat out and be back in time without cutting your evening short. This is deliberate and is intended to make you eat and drink at the hotel which is expensive. Our evening visiting friends was cut short and spoilt by this. Before staying at this hotel check if this curfew is still in place.
Breakfast was good, bed's are comfortable
it was quiet, and helps one to sleep if you need to without disturbance, but the room numbers should be written more boldly to avoid people knocking on another people's door. people missing their room number and waking me up
